This place is the absolute best. After getting what I considered the worst haircut I’d ever gotten at a local Supercuts. I came here hoping to get it fixed. I was really glad to have Neil cut my hair and get me back on track to looking decent. Super professional and the guy is phenomenal at what he does. You really couldn’t find a better place to get your haircut. I met my wife afterwards and she told me it was the best haircut I’d ever gotten. It is cash only though (20) so keep that in mind but this place is great.

Been going to the shop for a couple of years now. All three of the barbers give excellent haircuts though I do generally stick with my usual barber. They will cut your hair in a reasonable amount of time, make some good small talk, and leave you looking like a million bucks. Make sure you bring cash as they dont take cards.

I brought my grandson here for a haircut, and even though I was the only woman in the place, everyone made me feel welcome and comfortable. There was one empty chair (it was a weekday morning) so we didnt have to wait. Danny gave my grandson a great cut and really took his time making sure it was perfect. And he was very gracious with me since I didnt know it was cash only and didnt have enough to leave a decent tip. Ill be prepared next time! Cuts are $15, cash only.

Old style barber shop with 3 chairs. Nice guys doing good cuts. Good place for conversation with the guys and other patrons. Glad I found them only 10 minutes from where I live.

My husband has been having his hair cut here for years...he wont go anywhere else! All he has to do is just sit in the chair and the guy knows exactly how he wants his hair cut....great service and great people! If your in need of a barber, you should definitely check them out...😁

I have had good cuts here and good service but for some reason today I walked in twice and wasnt even greeted. When I asked if anyone would have time for a cut the owner pointed to a hand written note in black sharpie on his mirror saying this was his last cut today. I left and was in cliff the barbers chair in less than ten minutes where I was greeted kindly and talked to like a client that pays money for a service should be.

Great Place for a hair cut. Dannys been curing my hair for almost 20 years. Glad I found him too, before that I was driving to Bragg every 3 weeks for a cut. I couldnt find anyone else in B-town that could cut as close as the military, then there was Danny!!! Great atmosphere, clean establishment and excellent price!!!

Get place for a cut. Straight blade on neck and side burns with hot towel! Prices are very acceptable for a mens cut. Have gotten 2 ok cuts and 4 greats cuts there. Trick is to find which barber cuts your particular hair the best. I have curly hair when I walk in, straight when I walk out lol, and found one barber for some reason cuts MY hair better then the other 2. Love the place, love the atmosphere, and love that my grand father got his hair cut at the same place many many years ago! Keep up the good work fellas and dont ever chinse up on the hot towel and quick shave and Ill keep coming back!

First timer at Downtown Barber Shop. I walked right in and sat right down. I told Jay how I wanted it cut and thats what he did.He even noticed a problem with my previous cut that I had meant to mention so I was glad he did.I fully expect to go back again.

Moved to burlington almost 3 months ago and have been looking for a new barbershop. My haircut is very simple and easy for most barbers -- 1 on the side faded up to about a 7 or 8 on top (fingers width if the barber has smaller fingers). I found Clifs barbershop on S. Church Street and was extremely pleased with him, but hes been closed the last two times Ive tried to get a cut due to chronic back problems. Because of that, Ive had to go to downtown barbershop twice. First time I went, there were three barbers working and a super long line. The line was encouraging, I thought they were all there because they liked the place. I had enough time to spare, so I waited...fast forward over an hour of waiting, I got the guy furthest from the door. He did a semi-decent job but it took him a really long time and he didnt speak a word after I told him how I wanted it cut. I tolerated the haircut but didnt exactly want to go back there unless I had no other option.Next haircut that was due, Clifs was closed again, so I reluctantly went back to downtown barber. It wasnt as crowded this time, but I still ended up waiting about 45-60 minutes to get seated. This time, I got the guy closest to the door. I explained how I wanted it cut and he took about 30-45 minutes cutting it. He spun me around to look at it and I could tell it wasnt really that great. He could tell I was examining it pretty closely so he spun me back around and said their mirrors arent that great, and that Ill like it when I get home and look at it in my own mirror. First time I heard that from a barber. Regardless, what I saw at the time was tolerable enough to wait it out until I could get in at Clifs. Usually when I get home from a haircut, my wife greets me with, wow, I love your haircut, well this day she greeted me with, oh wow, what did he do to your hair? This shocked me because I didnt think it was that bad when I looked in the store. I went into our bathroom to take a closer look and immediately saw how horrible it was. He didnt bother fading it, cut my bangs super short up front, left two bald spots in the back, different length side burns, and a very defined line in the back where the fade should have been.I will definitely not be returning to Downtown Barbershop and will not recommend it to anyone
