Since the pandemic hit, I hadnt had a real haircut in over a year, so I figured it was about time to go get one. The extent of my previous haircuts had been done by myself at home, so coming to 18|8 was a refreshing change. I walked in not knowing anything about what I wanted in a haircut, and my stylist Amber was fantastic at figuring something out that made me look way better than what I looked like when I walked in. Would definitely recommend Amber and will look to return for another haircut in the future.

Got a cleanup with Amber and it was exactly what I was looking for. Great service thats comparable in prices to other barber shops. Definitely plan on returning again.

I never had plans to go here when it opened, but it was the first place open after the pandemic started, and Im glad I went. My wife says they give me the best haircut Ive ever had, by far. Lately, Ive been seeing Devin, but the girl (I cant remember her name) I had before him was great, too. You get what you pay for, so it is more expensive than other places, but for good cause.

Ask for Rick. Got me exactly what I wanted. He knows what he’s doing. Very pleasant atmosphere, well worth it.

Ive gotten a few “okay” haircuts nearby, but the haircut I got from Hobraiam blew me away. He even took the time to explain nuances in how and why to style my hair certain ways. Words can’t do justice to how much I love the haircut I got. All the little things were done right.

Great spot to get your haircut. Devin is fun to talk to, thorough with your cut and makes sure you walk out looking great. He keeps notes on your preferences so you dont need to figure it out new every time. They also offer discounts on product and other items. Get a membership and dont worry about the cost every time you go in.

My stylist at the old place where I used to go to moved and I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut done. That’s when I came across 18|8. The place is amazing, super clean and the service is top notch. If it’s your first time, ask for Devin. He took so much care in getting the look I desired and the neck and shoulder massage were super relaxing. This will be my constant going forward! Give it a shot, you wouldn’t regret it.

This was my first visit to an 18/8. I was told that there are two locations in Massachusetts and over a hundred nationwide. I got a basic haircut and my beard lightly trimmed. This salon markets themselves as somewhere in between a salon and a traditional barbershop. The young man that cut my hair said 18/8 typically likes to use scissors vs clippers, that they are selective in choosing barbers, and that you can always be assured that youll get a good cut. Making an appointment for the same day felt a little strange, in that I was told they dont take any new clients on at the last moment. That being said, they did squeeze me (they accidentally thought I was a regular client) and I got a good, layered scissor cut. The salon is clean and the service good, although overall I felt the experience was somewhat impersonal. I was hoping for something unique, but among the decor, the experience, the music and the interactions nothing really stood out as exceptional, or that really defined the 18/8 brand difference.My total bill was $41 plus a $10 tip. So if youre looking for Supercuts, this isnt the place. Overall I give it a B+ for my haircut and a B- minus for the experience.

I had high expectations for this place, very disappointed.I asked for a skin fade on my sides and back only. I could tell from the beginning, things didnt look good. The barber lady seemed like a very nice person but I guess she isnt used to skin fades. I paid 44$ which is not cheap for a 18 min haircut. I did not experience the hot towel(I refused it myself due to haircut disappointed ) but again why would you ask the costumer if he would like the hot towel when you already know I paid for it. The reason I gave two stars and not one is because the barber shop looks clean and very organized.

Its great to visit a place where they take great care of you. Devin did a great job and treated me with warmth and professionalism. I was so impressed that I got the membership! Definitely a regular now. And I love that the Sam Cooke Spotify was playing. #greatmusic

I came in for the first time a few months back, and I just booked my second appointment! While pricey for a mens haircut, 18|8 has an extremely sophisticated atmosphere, and the bonus of a shoulder rub to complete the experience. Definitely a nice treat on occasion!My first session was with Jennel, who did a fantastic job on my hair, and held quite pleasant conversation.Overall, I would highly recommend for a day when you are feeling particularly fancy!Edit:Very satisfied with my second visit! Easily just as good as the first. In my opinion it is usually a mark of a skilled barber when they go for the straight razor instead of the thinning shears when thinning my hair. Again, would highly recommend!

Had several haircuts Here and the quality was variable. The last visit was my last. He actually made bald spots on sides and back of my head. My wife saw it and told me not to go back. Beware!

Place is really well kept, pretty expensive however your paying experts for some excellent hair grooming. Rick was my man for the day. He was the man, no complaining from me. 5 stars well deserved!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now. I’ve see many of their barbers and I’ve always been happy. Most recently I’ve seen Devin the past few times and he’s done a great job. It’s more pricy than an old school barber shop but well worth it. Also they are doing a great job keeping things very clean in our COVID society now

Devin, is incredible with mens hair .. went in first time for a low bald fade and he executed is flawlessly. Also they are super clean and sanitary! Everyone is in proper PPE.. will definitely be coming back every 2 weeks ..

Awful experience. This was my first time getting a haircut at 18|8, and I wish I had just stayed home. I signed up for the Executive Haircut + Scalp Treatment package which is supposed to last 75 minutes, but my haircut took 10 minutes tops and the overall process took maybe 45. The hairdresser didn’t even look at the photo I had up on my phone when I showed it to them, they were extremely rough with my hair when cutting and towel-drying them, so much so that I could actually feel the hair getting plucked out. When I pay top dollar to come to a fancy place like this, I prefer the hairdresser drop everything and take their time with my hair. Not in this case. The hairdresser kept wandering off cause apparently the store was in the process of ordering some equipment that couldn’t wait. Then why confirm my appointment in the first place? I swear even Supercuts does a far better job than 18|8. Never going back there again. Waste of my time, money, and hair.

2 years ago I had the best hair cut in my life at this place. The stylist name - Rufus!However, he left. Regardless I tried hair cut at the same place thinking that the quality will be the same. However, it was a BIG mistake. I felt like it was his first hair cut experience in his life. They fired him. I tried 3rd time with a new stylist. And it was mediocre. Far worse comparing to Rufuss level.Unfortunately the Salon never provided Rufuss contact and didnt say what salon he moved to.

Devin was phenomenal! Very professional place! Very safe, clean, and great policy with COVID-19! I would highly recommend!

I tried 18|8 out after visiting about 6 different businesses around the area. My hair has a bit of curl and it seemed like no one was able to cut my hair the way I wanted it. Getting an appt with Devin was the best thing to happen to my head. The guy is fast, efficient, and does excellent work. He has pride in his art and it shows. As for working during COVID times, they make sure everything is sanatized and ready for their clients. Wildly impressed with the service and product knowledge... Never would have thought Id be using leave-in conditioner but here I am lol.

I went to 18/8 for the first time today, my previous barber moved away and finding a new person to entrust cutting your hair is always a stressful endeavor. I got my hair cut by Rick, not only did he go above and beyond to make sure I was happy he was lovely to spend time with and a great conversationalist. I will definitely be coming back.Cheers,Nick

First time there and we loved it. Loved the ambience and the decorations. Very stylish clean salon for men. Everyone was very attentive and professional. I took my son and myself for a haircut and they did a very good job. Jessica cut our hair and she was amazing she really did a great job. I would highly recommend coming here for kids cuts or men’s cuts. Very satisfied.

Worst haircut experience ever. I booked a full haircut and color for an hour and half and once i got there, they said i only had an hour to get everything done.I booked with Devin to get a mid fade and to get dark brown highlights. He was acting very rough with the way he moved my head around and never showed me the back of the cut, which is where you mostly see the fade. I didnt know his fade wasnt any good until about a week later after a friend pointed out how poor my fade was.He also could not get the color right for the highlights I wanted. I clearly stated I wanted dark brown highlights and even showed a picture of EXACTLY what I wanted. It started off with him telling me I only had time to do the front of my hair (even tho they said I booked for the max amount of time to get everything done). And then, he somehow managed to turn me into a blonde in front... he totally missed the color and just bleached my hair and didnt color anything. The only good thing was that I went back the next day to get it corrected and thankfully, he was able to get the right color.But for the price, the barbers do not have the skills to do what you ask them to do. Most of the people going here are older white males who just get a simple cut. Def not recommended for people looking to get haircuts that require more experience than a simple crew cut.

I had a terrific experience here. Easy to book online and they were ready for me when I arrived for my appointment. Devin was terrific. Took his time talking with me about what I wanted. I am picky and I am fully capable of being a cranky old man, but Devin was courteous, professional, and efficient. I will be coming back!

Being new to the area it is not always easy finding a new salon to go to. 18/8 was very clean and I was politely greeted upon entrance by Joe. He gave me a drink and took my jacket for me which was very nice. The young man who cut my hair did and did an amazing job. I am already looking forward to be back in one month.

Visited this salon a few times and have been happy with each cut. Got the Master & Young Master with my son and we are both happy with the cuts and service. Make an appointment and give yourself a treat.

DISSAPOINTMENT. I scheduled the Executive haircut and didn’t get any of the services that were in the Executive description. I did not get a neck shave b/c Ashley isn’t a barber and nobody else in the shop was available to shave my neck.I also was expecting a shoulder/neck massage as that was also in the description, and that did not happen either.When you are coming to a high-end salon such as this one, you expect a high-end experience and this was not the case here. The haircut was fine but by no means did it wow me. It seemed like she hated being there and like I was hassling her when I responded “yes” to her question of whether or not I wanted my hair shampooed or not at the end.Overall, I would recommend going somewhere else if you’re going to spend this type of money ($43 plus tip) on a men’s haircut. I had high hopes when I read the illustrious description of an “executive” haircut, but the experience turned out to be extremely mediocre.-Dave

Worst skin fade Ive ever gotten in my life. Overall experience wasnt that great either. I think they need to put experienced barbers and stylists in there if they want to charge those types of prices as well. I had to go to the Hair Saloon in order for them to actually fix it right after. Now thats a great place to go to.

I was looking for a new mens salon in the MA and NH area and finally tried it out. I was not sure what type of services they would offer that I could use since I shave my head. As soon as I went inside to check it out I was politely greeted by the receptionist and loved the atmosphere! Very relaxed, modern salon with an upscale feel that has plenty of options for all of your grooming needs. I got a shave and scalp treatment, loved it and I cant wait to go back! I can honestly say I have never had a closer shave. I highly recommend 18/8 for any guy looking for a fine mens salon that sets itself apart from the competition.

Visited here when I was staying in Burlington for business. I had to move my appointment at the last minute, but everyone was very accommodating and helped me with my schedule. I just got a haircut, but my stylist was great and gave me an awesome cut. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to like this spot. Everyone was super friendly and the haircut was good, but if a barber isnt comfortable working with a beard, then they should just say so. Paid for a beard trim. Asked to leave the length, but that Id like to clean up around it and line it up. No straight razor, no real attempt to shape it into my sideburns, no attempt to clean up the cheeks.Underwhelming. I know I should have said something while I was there, but I felt that the things missed were so obvious that it wasnt worth risking a bad beard trim by someone whos not used to doing them.

Rufus is a great professional. He is the first barber who could make the same quality haircut as I used to have back in Russia. In addition, 18|8 is the first place that is making discounts for students.

Staff is on the quiet side, which can make understanding their memberships and complicated system rather difficult.That being said, you want a review on haircuts, not admin work. The stylists I used, Christine, is perfect. She doesnt take short cuts, and is willing to listen to exactly what you want. Be open and honest with how you want things, and she doesnt her best to work her magic.

When I was there last the Stylist spent 75% of the haircut hard selling me on hair products and the last 25% forgetting to give me the hot towel included with my cut! Unsure if I would be willing to pay such a premium for an admittedly excellent haircut considering my dissatisfaction.

Great haircuts, just a little over the top for me. If youre just looking for a haircut, they do the whole hot towel on the face and washing your hair after the cut as well so the whole process/experience takes a bit too long for me.

Botched haircut dont recommend. Found out towards the end of the cut....this isnt my specialty, maybe you should come back tomorrow that would have been nice to know before she started to cut my hair.

The salon is beautiful and everything is so clean. I love the giant, comfy, leather chairs and the sink at every station so you dont have to get up to get your hair washed. Devin gave my fiancé a beautiful haircut so quickly and recommended products for his hair. Ive already booked a haircut for my son!
