Great selection! Much bigger than my old store on the westside. It was clean, well stocked and there were plenty of people working. I always appreciate the prices on some things

I am glad to have this Dollar General on this side of town. With no grocery store on this side of town, Dollar General is needed for those quick needs. My only complaint is the crammed layout, which is common to Dollar General stores. The employees here are very friendly.

The nicest people work every evening that I have to go here. I didnt give 5 stars only because they were sold out of their sale item. It was sold out because Dollar General didnt limit sale items per customer.

First time shopping at the Brownsburg location. Grabbed the items I needed, paid then left. Clerk was nice, friendly and got me out in a flash.

Pleasantly surprised if you went to the old one, it was so junkie a fire Hazzard. This location was nice and clean when they opened. But more importantly they were able to maintain it.

I give this 3 stars only because the cashier was great.. but I needed help finding something and the other worker was on the phone talking very loudly about things that shouldnt be discussed while stocking shelves so I just kept it moving.. the cashier is the only thing that will keep me coming back because she was extremely nice and very helpful.. I wish I knew her name because she was great and will keep me as a customer

Needs new card reader - a little scary. But owner is super sweet and kind love the candy and the register. Not the cleanest restrooms or the cleanest place on earth. But a nice quick trip about $10 per visit.

Everything was a mess. Couldnt find stuff. Id rather drive to Danville or Lizton then go back to this one. Unfortunate as we just moved here. Disappointed but not surprised.

Located in an old Family Video location, this store is relatively new and well organized.

Good prices and good location. They have good prices on vitamins but that always seem to be out. When you ask about the vitamins you told next week. The prices are real good on the vitamins but and even cheaper than Walmart. They got to have stock, I have had to buy them else where. Nice people that work there..

Dollar General rocks.I believe that this location closes earlier than their website says. So if you are running late you may want to call them. Surprisingly large selection. If memory serves me correctly their floor needs to be redone. Cheerful friendly staff.Seems like they had really good prices on pet food. They had ibuprofen but that did not seem like an especially good value because there were only like four pills for a dollar. This is another store that I probably should go to more often. Ive been there twice lately and it does seem like they may be a tiny bit understaffed Also if you do go, try to work in a visit to FlapJacks if youre hungry.

You couldnt walk through the aisles at all because they were completely full of carts and boxes stacked up, I asked for help locating something and while a female employee attempted to help me a male manager started yelling at her and then when I tried to tell him what I was looking for he just kept telling me to have a nice day and rushed me out the door because they apparently didnt have what I needed. I will go out of my way to never come to the store again.

No matter the circumstances in this store, the gentleman working (possibly owner?) Is just that, a gentleman. He is always smiling and wonderful!

This placed is packed to the gills with stuff everywhere. While that makes for finding what you want, it makes the store feel dark and cluttered. When I was there, it looked like they needed to do a good cleaning and put things on the shelves back in order. However I will give the cashier a thumbs up for being friendly and efficient!

This store has gone So Down hill. It is always a mess, dirty. The staff seems to be nice, but why cant it get better?

Worst shopping experience ever. Although the one and only employee in the store was pleasant, I asked if they carry distilled water and she directed me back to the bottled drinking water. That was the least of my worries. ALL the aisles were cluttered with boxes of merchandise and random items that had fallen off shelves and I could barely get my cart through them. It was impossible not to bang into boxes trying to maneuver my way through the store. I have NEVER seen such a messy and cluttered Dollar General and Ive shopped at many of their stores since they first opened. When I finally made it to the check out, the machine wouldnt accept my coupons. The clerk went to ask the manager for help but came back and said the manager wasnt there and that she might have stepped out of the store. REALLY? She had to cancel transaction and run my items through again so I could get to the coupons selection on the screen. It worked! Then when I put in my debit card, the machine didnt work again. The clerk apologized and said theyd been having trouble with it all day!! NEVER go to this store unless youre in a dire emergency and dont even try to use a cart. Youll be sorry. This store doesnt deserve one star. It should be shut down for good!

I was hoping since they have a brand new location it would be better taken care of than usual. Unfortunately its already becoming disorganized and messy with stock just sitting in the aisles not put away.

They just moved to where family video used to be on Main Street and the new place is clean, free of clutter, free of carts, full of boxes, in the aisles. Very nice transformation.

The aisles are narrow and the place was a mess.

The few times I have come here the following happened: Visit 1: Girl was CLEARLY on stimulants. Visit 2: Kid in sweatpants listening to the worst trap music ever. 3: Was 45 minutes past its opening time.Just go to WalMart.

One of the cleanest around, they may not have everything since it is alot smaller but it makes up in cleanliness

A great place to shop for cheap! There are a few very friendly employees. Never too busy for you to get in and out to grab what you need.

This is the dirtiest store I have ever been in. I dont think the isles have ever been mopped and it smelled like rotten produce.

The store was closed at 9:15 when they are supposed to be open till 10. This store is always filthy & cluttered. It is very hard to walk around in. They are always understaffed. Stood in line last week for over 15 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. I asked a girl working on the floor if they could open another register. She answered with there isnt a till in the drawer. . I said could you please go get one? After another 5 minutes, the girl walks up to the 2nd register & signs on. There WAS a till in the drawer & she had just lied to me. This place is convenient, but please get it together & train your people & clean this place up. I had to put one star to post, but would not have given any today

This store is a safety and fire hazard. They have store items in carts and on the floor making it impossible to walk through. To say its a disaster would be a nice thing to say. This store needs series attention. I had to help a lady today with a walking disability because the store had carts piled up with extra junk they havent put on the shelves yet. I ended up hanging to help he move the cars and pick up her items because the store was so nasty and crowned with items that should have been on shelves that she could get her walker through the aisle. This store Lanka leadership and needs to change. Its dangerous and asinine to think that its acceptable.

Blocked aisles, looks very unorganized. Cashier was good. Its the look of the store and difficulty of manuevering obstacles thats the problem.

A standard dollar general, theres always boxes of unshelved product and the items can tend to be out of sort, but they always have what Im looking for. Im guessing theyre understaffed as it always seems there is only one employee on staff every time I visit. However the wait at the register is never an issue where I feel inconvenienced.

This place is a mess. Have been several they were much cleaner but the one in Brownsburg its just dirty.

Great place to pick up odds and ends

Honestly, this is the absolute finest establishment, that I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Lets begin our journey with the entrance, never has the Dollar General sign held its head high, with all the lights working at once, it humbles the place down, making it easier to enter. The front of the store, is cluttered with knick-knacks, making it difficult to move in and out, but some of the deals that are displayed are truly something. They had some patio furniture mid-winter, always thinking ahead, those people at the Brownsburg Dollar General are truly ahead of the trends. This is just the outside of the store, already setting the bar high, but the inside is where the magic is truly held. Once you entered, you are met with the odor of dirty laundry. DONT PANIC! This is just a way for them to detour weaklings, continue into the store. If you choose to venture left upon entering, you will be met with an assortment of out of date movies, books, and electronic equipment. This is only for the professionals, if you have not been to this Dollar General at least thirty times, I would not recommend this move. Very Dangerous. Beginners should exclusively stay on the right side of the store, this is where the not-so-fresh produce and candy is kept. Also toilet paper and towels, its such an adventure. The liquid isle is one of tow isles that allow for two people to comfortably stand side by side, it is scary to enter alone, but if you are not going to stay in the juice isle, or the kitchen utensil isle, then you must stay alone. Every once in a while, you will find a mother, with a litter of children, this is common, it is necessary to be prepared, but above all, to stay calm. A mom with a shopping cart and children is easily able to force you out of an isle, just walk away, if you must.... run. Staying alive is the only choice you have. In Dollar General, I would not buy anything that expires within a half years time, for I have found green loaves of bread, and ancient cans of vegetables, dating back before the 2000s. The only acceptable things to purchase are as follows: Little marble garden gnomes, lawn furniture, the movie Heaven Is For Real, mexican glassed bottles of Cocacola, grape juice, and candy that is not part of the Dollar General chain... on occasion, a miniature tiki torch is acceptable. After you have found one or more of the items on this list, its time to check out. This is a casual process in most stores, but Dollar General is not most stores. There are three cashiers that I have had the pleasure of meeting here, their characters will be described as follows.1) Stimulated: Super talkative, pleasure to be around, but does not know how to scan or bag groceries in the slightest2)[my personal favorite] Headphones: Wont ever talk to you, will listen to his/her music, bags every item individually, talks on the phone with people at work, and refuses to acknowledge your existence, zero eye contact.3) Old And Sweet: Pleasure to talk to, good at her job, makes you want to come back again.As you can tell only one of those were remotely bad, yes, number 3. Every big name store has a sweet old woman that will help by any means necessary, but only Dollar General has people who dont care all that much about their jobs. These are the people that keep me coming back. With their terrible work ethics, I truly love to examine how their minds may work, and if I could too some day achieve the ability to bag groceries, and scare people at the same time. No other big name company gives you scary cashiers like Dollar General. When exiting Dollar General, you never truly know if you have all your bags/items. The cashiers wont remind you if youve forgotten something, or give you a receipt hardly ever... BUT THATS PART OF THE FUN. I always like the disapproving looks the cashier gives me when I doubt their ability to give me all my items, and when I catch them. Even better, because they love seeing that they are not even able to bag groceries correctly. All in all, I love Dollar General, and you should too.

Very dirty, So full in the aisles i couldnt get a cart through. Not just because of xmas load. IT WAS A MESS. Thought i could make a quick trip and get xmas supplies for baking and presents. Nothing was there. I will never go in there again. Was my first time because my job is down street. NEVER AGAIN. Cashier talking with her friend who was behind counter sitting and doesnt work there. Another employee tells me excuse me and then has the gull to park her cart full of boxes right where im shopping, stops and starts opening boxes to put up items. I couldnt even finish looking for what i was going to buy. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS😠😡 VERY BAD EXPERIENCE... Ill just shop on way home. Thank You😶

When entering the store No bags, shop small dont complain. Waited for 5 minutes at the register no sign of an employee. Then, the guy I passed walking into the store in the parking lot walks up to the register. There were three other people in line when I left. Didnt purchase goods this trip, wont be back.
