I have a long road trip coming up with 32 hours of driving and no working A/C. 5 speed has a great system where you can drop your car early. I really loved the tech, getting text updates and seeing real time the progress being made. They fixed my a/c by early afternoon and I will be a much happier person on the road in this summer heat. Price was reasonable and I will use them again for future work.

I brought my car in to get insight into some odd noises the car was making. The mechanics helped identify and explain the problem and gave a recommendation on how to proceed. It was clear that they are trying to do what is best for you and your car – not trick you into a bunch of repairs that you dont actually need like many other places. Great experience and would definitely go here again.

This was my first time taking my truck into 5th Gear Automotive. I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 diesel truck and needed to get my emissions done. From the moment I called and Josh answered the phone he was nothing but very kind, knowledgeable and polite. When I arrived I was kindly greeted and helped quickly and professionally. Before I knew it my truck was pulled up front and my name was called to check out and pay for my emissions test which was reasonably priced and in no time I was back the road. I had originally taken my car to another mechanic and was told it needed over $2,000 worth of work including struts, shocks, brakes, a ball joint! That didnt seem right so I brought it over to 5th Gear and Im so glad I did. Ian and 5th Gear were thorough and honest and all I needed was new brakes! They conducted an emissions test for me on my 2011 Ford F-250 6.7 diesel. I am new to colorado so I had lots of questions about the process. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. The test only took 15 min. and was performed by an actual diesel tech. I will be going back for further diesel services.

I’ve NEVER had the quality of hospitality in any business I’ve walked into like this one. Normally you feel an impending doom walking into a car repair shop, rushed by greased workers and feel out of place in an impish waiting room.That was not the case with this establishment. Tony, (I’m assuming) was the kindest person behind a counter that I’ve encountered (haha), and because I had to retrieve my car early I was not charged a dime for their time which I appreciate wholesomely. Words can’t say how much I appreciated their kindness and that is an impressionable quality to myself and many others. Please, don’t go anywhere else. Go here. They deserve your business.

Told me I didnt have a catalytic converter and then tried to charge me for the emissions test, went to another place the next day, passed with no problems. PS. On a diesel turbo car the catalytic converter is behind the turbo🤣🤣🤣 and I have a passed emissions test to prove that, do your job better

Love these guys. I bought an 02 F-150 with 240k on the odometer. I had a vacation planned and had them look it over before I left. Based on the cheap/minor repairs they suggested, my daughter and I just returned from a 1,000 mile camping trip to Moab, UT with no issues. This involved some significant off-roading and long stretches in the hot sun. I 100% trust their recommendations and take all of my (and my familys) vehicles here.

I took my 2013 Jeep for an oil change and it cost over 100.00 and was told my brakes needed replacing. The front was at 30% and back at 40%, with repairs costing over 1K. I decided to get 2 more opinions. Boy am I glad I did. In reality my brakes are at 60% and 75%, with no need to replace yet at 2 locations. I wonder how much money my family has wasted at 5th gear in the years.

This was my first service with fifth gear. The first time I stopped I had been informed at the emissions station for Colorado that they don’t do diesel. So I was told to go over there to fifth gear they’re really good. I went there and made an appointment since they were really backed up and you needed an appointment. That was today and I must say both times I’ve Been there I’ve interacted with Tony. He’s very helpful very informative patient competent and the other individual who is there today I don’t know his name but he too was extremely helpful and informative on other matters that I ask about. Overall I’d say I recommend fifth gear Automotive highly and without reservation! Also, my emissions test took about 10-15 minutes at the most.One more thing...they were on time, and sent a text to remind me of my appointment.

Dont be fooled by these positive reviews like I was. They had my Volvo for almost 2 weeks and did nothing to diagnose it! Finally had to go in and say, what is going on? To then be told I should just go somewhere else. They said my first mistake was owning a Volvo, how unprofessional. It ended up being my starter and AC compressor, which was diagnosed by another shop instantly! I do not recommend going here, especially if you own a foreign vehicle.

They took our vehicle in immediately after an unexpected complete engine shutdown, diagnosed the issue and had it completely fixed within one full day of service. It was very nice being helped out of an emergency situation and for much less than the dealer would’ve charged.

I brought my car in for a routine oil change today and they did a great job. Not too hard with an oil change but I bring it to them because I have had them replace an engine last December and they have previously done major repairs on my vehicles and have always done an excellent job.

I had my oil changed and asked them to check my fluids. The next day, smoke poured out of my vents and when I checked my coolant, it was bone dry.

I had such a great experience with these guys! Cameron was my point of contact & he was great to work with! I researched this business years ago and liked what I read. They kept my Honda alive for a couple of years, and they are keeping my Xterra alive now. They call frequently to keep me up to date. They know how the internet works (if you have dealt with other auto shops, this is important). They are always right on with estimates. All of these little things add up. I love this shop.

I came in in a hurry, they were able to accommodate my request. Staff was helpful and polite. They gave me a ride back to my work, great customer service there.The only reason Im not giving them the 5 stars is because Im not too sure about the price they charge for parts and labor. The number they quoted me is on the higher side comparing to what my GEICO app tells me.

I went to Fifth Gear because a trusted friend and long-time Broomfield resident highly recommended them. I have used their services a few times and have always been very pleased. They take the time to explain, they are always friendly, they give reasonable quotes, and they even helped me with a minor repair in the parking lot free of charge (very minor, involving cutting a hose an reattaching it) but nonetheless it made a frustrating day more pleasant and I appreciated their kindness! They have a good reputation for a reason and I happily recommend them to others frequently.

5th Gear has always given us great service, they are honest and upfront. There have been a couple times where they have told us our car is not worth fixing and that even have done extra items at no charge. They stand by their word and have never let us down.

I had an appointment to get an emissions test done but there was a problem so they couldn’t continue. I fixed the problem and amazingly they still fit me in later the same day completed the test. I rarely endorse places. This company however has earned my business repeatedly and I feel comfortable telling anyone and everyone about how great they are. Car repair businesses in general tend to have very poor reputations and almost always make you feel taken advantage of. This place is the opposite. I’ve been here repeatedly and every time I leave feeling I got tremendous value compared to what I paid. Their honest, have quality pricing, and quiet frankly value you as a client earning repeat business far more than the short term gain other companies get from pushy sales techniques for add on services. Weather your a DIY mechanic or someone who has very little automotive knowledge, they will walk you through everything and make sure you are completely comfortable through the whole process.(Disclaimer, I was in no way paid or compensated or am affiliated AT ALL with them. I legitimately think they’re a great company)

5th Gear stands behind their work without hesitation. Quotes for repair are completley explained and completed work is right on the money. If I call with a question, their service rep will take the time to gather information on what the car is doing and present options on a tentative course of action. Subject to a physical inspection and evaluation.I dont feel there was ever any unnecessary repairs or padding on parts.Eventhough we no longer live in Broomfield, we still use 5th Gear. The drive is more than worth it!
