At the time we went, masks were not required, but they have always been sticklers about cleanliness, requiring each person to disinfect the apparati before leaving. All equipment is functional and well maintained. Staff are available for questions and instruction.

I have gone n canceled my membership because this place has been over charging my account with late fees and two annual fees in the one year that Ive been there...mind u I joined right before the pandemic n I never went in after that...n while Ive been paying n not going, theyve been stealing...n I always had funds in my account so no late fees shlda been charged...then I cant get Bethany the manager to call me about my money! Ive called 4 times n still waiting to hear back!

I am disabled and go to PF with my service dog, Swanson, using a walker to get around. Either the staff at the front desk or a member has never failed to hold the door for me when I arrive or leave.Also, I use the crank cycle which was on the lower level. Today I asked the manager if she would consider moving it to the upper level so I wouldnt have to walk. Within 10 minutes it was done! Now this is customer service. The facility is spotless and constantly cleaned.

The gym is fine, it is lacking some amenities, but if you just want to work out you wont have a problem here. However, I personally will never join another gym in my life. They structure their fee system to wring every last cent out of a person. I called to cancel my membership, they say I have to come in, so I do a week in advance of the next months renewal, but they charge for it anyways because the charge is already pending. Its a total load of nonsense, theyre just slimy and apparently dont care about good reviews. So, if you want to join a gym, just know that they are universally like this and they want to get you for all they can. This one is no worse than others.

The club is huge with so much equipment that it doesnt have issues with social distancing and cleaning that a smaller club might have. Very well run and organized from my experience.

I really appreciated how the manager (Alex) helped me handle an issue with my membership. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and respectfully and, ultimately, helped me solve my issue. I was very impressed by his professionalism!

Not very busy and easy to access all equipment. Not as clean as before Covid ( now do antiseptic spray ) they used to mop floors and under equipment and physically clean machines

Avoid this gym at all cost. Nothing but lies. And hidden fees. I stopped my membership. And still got charged $38. When my membership is only $21. Get nothing but excuses.

Always nice to work out here. Even when busy you dont feel crowded. Staff is always nice and the store manager is always willing to work with you whenever there is an issue with your account or billing. I hadnt even started my membership but the staff called him and he allowed me to work out anyways since there was an issue that would require him to resolve. All around a very comfortable place to go!

Visited this location for the first time today and let me say this is the biggest Planet Fitness that I have seen in the area. Especially today, it was empty haha. Great customer service and greeting when I first walked in, and I was ready to work out! Will definitely be visiting this location again soon!

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. In the beginning the place was actually pretty good. But when it came time to cancel my membership due to military obligations and moving I was met with very stiff resistance. I am now currently stationed in Germany, and the management insists that I come there in person to cancel my membership. Explain who is going to pay for that plane ticket? I have tried multiple times to cancel my membership, have gone through various channels, and still have a membership for a gym that is separated my a damn ocean.... explain why this is a thing? This place is NOT military friendly, nor anywhere near being understanding to service members. If you are in the service steer clear of this franchise.

I like Planet Fitness and feel comfortable working out here. It does get crowded after 5 but most gyms do anyways. I think the best time to go is in the morning. It is affordable and has nice equipment.

I didn’t end up signing up but the girl at the front desk gave me a great tour she was really helpful and told me about their trainer too they have free classes but the edge down the road has saunas so had to think for a while. Tbh might just come sign up because it was a really good environment and everyone seemed really relaxed and just focused on themselves.

Planet Fitness is great if youre like me and just need the basics (cardio, weight machines, free weights, ect). Not ideal if youre really into lifting (there are no free bars, only Smith machines). Honestly the staff is SO nice and welcoming, they always say hello and goodbye! I myself am a runner and pretty fit but I love that it feels like a gym for everyone. My mom has felt super comfortable coming here to lose weight. Not to mention you really cant get a better bargain on a gym membership. Great PF location!

I always feel comfortable working out here, never anyone that makes me feel judged. Nice staff and price is pretty good! Wish they were open more on weekends however but I understand that the workers probably have lives as well haha

I highly recommend this Gym. The crew behind the front desk are making it happen.Having managed a climbing gym for four years, the folks that greet you as you walk in the door set the tone for your workout. Kudos to the Bristol PF morning crew, Joe and Amber for that Hi Mike each and every morning.

Just started going. The free 30 min workout program is cool. Its nice to get that extra motivation. Tanning beds is a nice too. I have to say that the hrs are a little ridiculous in the sense that its 24hrs (mon-Thurs...who would go there super late/early on the days most people have to work?) and they close the doors at 9pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday??? Thats pretty backwards to me. The days that most people have off you are going to close your doors, and then stay open when nobody would come.

Poor (No)!Front Desk Control... No one greeted me at the Front Desk... I wandered around the club for ten minutes, still, no one noticed me... I finally approached the front desk to inquire about prices and services... The front desk staff wasUniformed about club prices and immenities... Very immature and lacking proper training, as to what her job description was...I left the club very disappointed...

Dirty equipment, elliptical machines have mounds of dirt and debris on the foot pedals.Staff sits behind the desk with feet on the desk, very unprofessional. Friday and weekend hours of operation could be better. Some equipment does not fully work. Only 2 stair machines. One has broken functions. No arc trainers with movable arms. You get what you pay for with this company. Dirty, partially broken equipment with an unprofessional staff.

I enjoy talking to most of the staff here and they keep it extremely clean!

The space is huge, a lot of equipment (most of them youll have multiples) plus they have a free weight leg press - bit of a rarity among PFs. The usually very friendly staff you can expect from PF and a good mix of crowd. Space is so large even during the busy hour it doesnt feel cramped.

This is the WORST gym- not because of its obnoxious colors but because theyre theives. I walked in wanting to sign up in July but didnt have my debit card. I was assured no action would be taken until I returned to provide my debit card information. The manager had me fill out and sign the entire application (which was stupid on my part- I thought she would actually be an honest person). I had previously been a memeber in the Charleston, SC location and cancelled when I moved here. I never returned to the Bristol location because I changed my mind and didnt want to work out there. Mysteriously my debit card was charged... but I never gave them the number. Pulling my card information without me bringing it in to actually authorize it is called fraud and is illegal. This is worst gym ever and I truly hope they close down. The best part is my bank wasnt even surprised- my rep told me Yea, Planet Fitness does this a lot but well take care of it for you. We side with our customers.

The Planet Fitness in Bristol is easily one of the best gyms that Ive been to. Heres just a few of the reasons why:1. EquipmentThe quality and quantity of the equipment here is fantastic. The machines are all modern, easy to use and adjust, work well, and are always clean. There are at least two of every type of weight lifting machine, so one never has to wait long to train with the machine of their choice.2. AtmosphereI was skeptical of PFs claim to be the Judgement Free Zone, at first, but after going there for a few weeks, I can see that they mean it. The gym isnt frequented by bodybuilders or people with a holier-than-thou attitude that make those of us who are out of shape feel uncomfortable. In addition, the staff is very friendly, and greets every person who comes in with a smile.3. PriceWho can argue with only $10 / month for a gym membership? And $20 / month gets you half price drinks and access to any PF location in the country. Totally worth the price.

Billing: $10/ mo plan .. 15$ in late fees if there’s anything wrong with processing your pymt. Signe up in apr only to have them charge me the annual renewal fee- $40 june 1st! (It’s been 2months 🤔).. $58 cancellation fee to buy out of the contract.

In terms of quality and equipment, this gym was sufficient. The interior was probably too colorful and clearly catered to the lowest denominator in terms of fitness, but as that was part of their mission I cannot fault them on this. There was no reverse discrimination or lunk alarm business as listed in some other Planet Fitness reviews, but their business practices were/are certainly shady. Stay away from these guys.I moved from upstate New York to Connecticut for an internship and immediately signed up for a monthly membership at Planet Fitness since it was the closest gym to where I lived. I had no problems while I went there. In October of 2011, I was preparing to move back to Rochester, NY so I went to the gym and verbally told the manager to cancel my membership, which he agreed to. I have recently (January 2013) found out that they NEVER STOPPED CHARGING ME, and after multiple phone calls refuse to without meeting in person or receiving a signed letter.This is, again, after cancelling in person and receiving verbal confirmation of that. In other words, I have already performed the action stipulated by them. They continue to refuse to cancel my membership or refund the 15 months of membership fees they have charged since I cancelled.

I Come from LA fitness .. LA fitness use to be a Great gym and now is filty, smell. Bathroom are not clean jacuzzi broke for most part sauna as well they dont even give you a discount for all that time of not using it .but come to planet fitness Great place for most part even tho mi not having sauna jacuzzi and many other things but i like it ... The people there are friendly there i love it so far so good but The color need to go lol...

I love the environment! the facility is clean with only occasional untidiness. The staff used to be very bad and you couldnt bother them to greet you or stop texting for a minute but it appears as if the have re staffed. i am only a guest but i come often. I really enjoy the weekend staff! especially the young African american lady. she is very sweet! the rest of the staff is nice too! i highly recommend this gym. the way i see it is yes they have the rules about no grunting or weight dropping( i dont see why one would drop weights anyways) but i see plenty of very fit and athletic people just as much so as would be at other brand name gyms and they dont have to be obnoxious. From other comments it says that they believe its a gym for self conscious people...well people have to build confidence somewhere. i think this is the perfect gym for anyone the only reason im giving it 4 stars is because i wish they would expand.
