Went online on a Monday and made an appointment to have my brakes looked at for Thursday at 5pm. I specified that I would be waiting for the car. NOT just dropping off. I received a confirmation email. I get there at 4:45pm on Thursday and Im told that there are 7 cars ahead of me, there is no way they can look at it. I asked why they would keep taking cars, knowing that they had a 5pm appointment scheduled. He just shrugged and apologized. I asked him if I could bring my car in Saturday morning. That way I could leave it for an hour or two to give them time to go over it. He said to bring it in at 8am because there was currently only two other cars booked. Saturday I bring my car in at 8am. Every bay is already full with a car. I was told they all came in that morning. Yeah sure. I was assured that my car was a priority, and that they would call me with the diagnosis as soon as possible. By 1:30pm I still had not received a phone call. I called to check the status on my car, and was told that it would be the next car in. I told them not to touch it. I went and picked up. My car never moved from where I parked it 4.5 hours earlier. Yet every bay had a different vehicle in it than it did when I dropped my car off. The service and customer consideration at this location is atrocious. I will NEVER bring a vehicle there again. If youre smart, you wouldnt either!
Had an appointment. Didnt get my car in until 45 minutes after the appt. time. It would have been longer, had I not gone in to complain. Mechanic did fine work. Pricing was fine.

Really impressed with this place - specifically Mike. I got a flat tire and had to be towed somewhere. Thankfully they were still open and they okd it. By noon the next day I had all brand new tires, reasonably priced, and had my car ready to go on my lunch break. I cannot thank him enough for being so transparent about the process and for trying to help me get the best deal I could. Highly recommend coming here. Im not usually a fan of the chains, but they did a fantastic job.

I called while traveling from MA to FL. and my low tire pressure came on. I spoke with Mike at front desk. He suggested that I come in so they could check it out. I didnt have any wait time. Mike checked tire pressure on all tires and adjusted pressure where needed. Then a technician reset warning light. Ordered 4 tires from Tire Rack, had them delivered to, and installed by, Firestone in Branford. While there the techs noticed excessive wear on my rear brakes, showed me the issue and quoted a very reasonable rate to replace them. Start to finish in about an hour and I could not be happier. Great crew, great management, will be back again.

Prices are ok but if you plan to get a simple tore change or an alignment make sure you get someone who always does it. They have a person there that has no idea what they are doing at all. Be careful and expect to be waiting for hours.

Got a flat on the highway Saturday at 1 on our way to family. We had to be at Mohegan by 5. Unfortunately the tires were due for replacement. This establishment was able to put 4 new tires on the car and got us out by 3:30 to reach our destination. The cost seemed reasonable when doing post visit analysis. I would recommend this establishment.

Was pleasantly surprised. Wasnt expecting the kind of service i received. Im very particular about where i bring my car. I usually bring my car to the dealership for service cause i assume they know the car best. Went to Firestone because dealership screwed up my appointment date and i needed brakes done asap. So I stopped by and spoke to Mike who got me in right away. I ended up needing front brakes and rotors. And they also had to replace a wheel stud because the dealership cross threaded the lug nut when they replaced my tire. (Thanks Kia) The tech Jason was very thorough and careful with my car and did a great job. And i paid less than i would have if i got it done at the dealership.I will definitely go back there for my car services again.
The worst place you can take your car to. They tell you is one thing,and keep coming up with new charges, new parts and never fix your problem. DO NOT go there.
They were great. I asked them to get rid of all the warning lights, my car has 300k miles on it, but I love it and except for maintenance it is free. They gave me thorough proposals and confidence they could actually fix everything. They didnt oversell or under promise. Its been 3 weeks and no lights are on, the car is running great again and it passed emissions. Firestone was a great help.

I have going to this location since Mike became the manager and it has been nothing but great. Every time I bring my car there to get brakes, oil changes, tires, tire rotations they always have it done right and on time. They always explain everything to me during the checkout process and ask if I have any questions regarding them. Highly recommend.

Its was okay. The mechanics were cordial, but the service took a very long time to change my oil (40 min/1hr) AFTER waiting 30 minutes for my vehicle to be physically taken in & mounted.It was my first visit & one of their local regulars came in so they were helped immediately along with lengthy social personal conversation. The oil change was done well, they didnt harass me with making up things that needed to be repaired just to get more money out of the customer. Although I was happy about the actual oil change I will not be going back to that particular Brandford location.

Please stay away! The old Firestone is gone! After 30+ years of tire and service purchases (thousands $), I stopped in for my annual tire rotation and was told by a counter person that it would cost me because I didnt purchase a Lifetime tire rotation? $1,000+ for 4 tires and I never heard of such a thing. Ive had dozens of no charge rotations. The counter person had a poor customer service appearance and attitude today.
Had a appointment to get my trucks front end aligned. Made me wait for an hour and a half while the bay they do alignments in was empty the whole time.once they brought my truck in they backed it back out and told me the truck was to heavy to lift. You would think theyd know what vehicles could be put on the rack.totaly unprofessional.
These guys are great. They do everything they can to get you back on the road quickly without draining your bank account. The staff is also very friendly and considerate. Even when they are busy they take the time out to discuss any concerns you may have.
The service was more or less okay- I had two tires replaced and an alignment. But when I got my car back, I noticed all my quarters had been taken. I keep my car very clean so I know what’s in it. The front cubby is where I put all my change, and I reach into it every day for the key card I also keep there. So I noticed right away after getting my car back that all my change was gone. Change is change, I know, but that turned an otherwise fine experience into a very unpleasant one. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend anyone come to the Branford location.
Felt pressured into buying four new tires when the dealer had rated all tires good less than 10,000 miles earlier. Had one slow leak that was not fixable. Is this normal? Also, charged $115 for alignment and thought this should be less (or free) if purchasing 4 new tires. Caution! I think they took advantage of me.
Went for emmission testing, very clean place,with a nice area to sit and watch TV while you wait. Everyone who works there are so nice and helpful. Def recommend this place for all your car needs

I dropped my car off at 1145am for snow tire changeover, which is a quick job and was to be done in under 2 hours. I called at 430 and was told it was still not completed because of staff leaving early. At 615pm they called to tell me they cant mount used snow tires. The idea of winter and summer tires is that they are going to be used the next season when changed over. I wasted 6 hours of my day for nothing. I suggest you go somewhere else where the job is completed and done in reasonable time frame. I will not be back for brake job I was going to get done next week.
I was at Firestone all day today for 8 hours, they were amazing let me know every little change in time and the stage of where they were at fixing my car with out me asking. Great friendly front desk people. They even offered to go get me food, because it was raining they were so sweet!!

If I could give it 0 stars I would but google makesmme give at least one....worst experience ever...first I call in the am to get a quote on 4 tires..get told told a price and they knew I was getting my car towed there since I didnt have a spare....got there and was told it was 300 dollars more than what I was quoted for...then on top they had to have the tires delivered from another facility and they would call me when my car was ready today. That was at 115 pm....here come 6pm and still have not received a phone call so I call them and was told my car was still not ready but they will call me when its done but dont worry they close at 7 and it Ill.be done by before that...now its 640 and Ill still did not get a call so I get a ride there and got there at 7:01 the guy was getting into his car and lights were off....I said excuse me im here to get my car and his response was well you never came and got it..I was like I called you at 6 and you said you would call me when its done...he said well I already made my deposit so you have to come back tomorrow....i called corporate and told them what happened. I will never shop there again...the worst customer service
The staff here is always polite and attentive. They have provided great service on my vehicles with reasonable prices and are great with sticking to their estimated times to complete any work.
Bruce really helped ease my mind after a catastrophic car breakdown forced the vehicle to be dropped off at 6p on a Sunday. They were open until 7p and we got the car issue diagnosed with a cost estimate performed the next morning. Car was drivable by 5pm Monday! 100% confident in the repair and prices were comparable to area shops. Bruce even applied coupons to our repair without asking, saving us over $60 on an $1100.00 repair (4 tires for AWD Subaru, front brakes, and new tire studs & lug nuts for the tire that fell off). Turn-around time from estimate to completion was 1 business day. Couldnt be more pleased.

I got stuck because my water pump leaked out, so I had to be towed there, they were the nearest place. While there the manager explained he has to do an oil change when he does this. of course one has nothing to do with the other, but I explained I use 10/40 because the oil used to get very thin especially in the summer and the solution was using 10/40. He said he would use 10/40. I was there for 6 hours, left upon closing. I saw they used 5/10. When I called he said that is what he uses on all the older vehicles. but that is not what I use, and that is not what he told me. Well my oil light is going on again, because it is hot out, and it gets too thin. It has not done this since I switched to 10/40. I will have to get the oil changed AGAIN CORRECTLY this time. I dont need my engine ruined because they cant follow instructions or keep their word.
My brother-in-law had his Alternator replaced at a Firestone down in Florida. He was visiting me in CT and the Alternator went bad. We checked the battery it was good. I sent him to the Firestone Branford and they were very professional. We got the alternator replaced under warranty 5pm on a Friday and had his Honda back on the road before 7pm. Firestone Branford also found the power steering pump was cracked and leaking fluid so we had them replace that also. Very Good Service.
I made an appointment for 11, my car was not taken in until 11:45. I had to ask about it before it was taken in. Service staff was nice.. they gave me a concession to make up. I will try again to make sure it wasnt due to the holiday.
This place is my go to for all of my maintenance and repair work, excellant customer service and pricing.
Asked the employees to loosen a lug nut on rear drivers side. After 20 minutes, they brought the car in. Thats fine, its a Sunday. Car sits another 20 minutes and when we take a look out there, the hood is open. We were unaware that lug nuts were under the hood. Turns out that these fine folks took it upon themselves to run a courtesy inspection to (make) save (them) me money! This establishment is full of theives. An hour and a half of wasted time and unprofessional business associates. Avoid this business at all costs. Weve been a resident in this two for 30 years and have had numerous bad experiences with this business.

My car needed rear pads & rotors, I got there and asked for just that. The banners advertise FEE BRAKE INSPECTION. So when it was time to pay they charged me $9.99 for (Check Brakes Grinding) and $21.99 for Vehicle Inspection. Sounds like $31.98 in charges they claim not to charge, when I asked about it he refunded me the $9.99 but left the $21.99 ... True Rip Off. Will Never Go Here Again. Cant Win with places like this. Smh
I just had my emissions done as well as an oil change and it oil cost me $50 total. I usually go to valvoline for my oil change but they charge $75 just for oil, and no filter. Here they did full synthetic 0w20 oil change with filter, topped off all fluids, checked my tires, and did my emissions for $50 total. Im completely blow away with their services and courtesy. No waiting around for hours wondering if they are doing anything. They literally have a window so you can watch them as well as having free coffee bar and a tv to pass the time. Brandon is a great guy he looks out for everyone that walks in and treats them with respect. Always refers to everyone as sir, mam, or miss. Its almost crazy how respectful he is. You just dont see that anymore. It is incredibly clean and it doesnt smell like a repair shop. It has a comfortable home feel to it.

Had a car emergency-- tire picked up a screw 100 miles from home. Called in the morning, before I knew the screw caused flat, to assess most affordable tire for my car. Was told $140.When we arrived at 11:30 am, with tire in hand (driving on donut) was told that bc of appointments the patch job would not be done until 2 pm. Frustrating but we had no other options as it was a Sunday and no one else was open. We went to eat and wait.Returned and was told at 2:15 pm-- nearly three hours after we dropped tire off for a patch job-- that we actually needed new tire. I understand having to take the rim off to see inside of tire itself but was never given the impression that the 3 hour wait was diagnostic.I should have driven 50 or less miles towards home and just worked with another shop. My dad ended up calling the guy and the most affordable tire price quoted to him was $70. I had made it clear earlier in the day that, if purchasing a tire, I was looking for the most affordable option. Apparently the price for a young woman over the phone is twice as much as the price offered to her older father.We waited 20 minutes after purchasing new tire as he spoke to new, walk- in clients about their tire issues as we sat in waiting room. Seemed annoyed when we asked for an ETA.I do not typically write negative reviews and understand that busy days happen & we didnt have appt. This encounter was unbelievably frustrating (He asked if we wanted to open a line of credit with the company during it-- just wanted to get out and go home???) If you find yourself stuck and are at all able to do so, avoid this place. Find another shop.
Prices too high. I had one tire changed and if it werent for me needing my car fixed so badly I wouldve turned it down. They didnt put my spare tire away properly...more like they didnt put it away at all. They just threw it in the trunk called it a day. They left my hub cap of as well. I went to put it back on my self and then bam! I noticed they also cross threaded two of my studs. I had to go back to get it fixed. Oh wait lets charge me for parts. That didnt happen! After all that you think Im going to let them charge me for their mess up! Nightmare!

These guys will lie to your face through their fake smiles. My cars exhaust snapped in New Haven and so I couldnt take it to my usual mechanic in Plainfield. They wanted to charge me almost 1300 to replace my exhaust, so I decided to risk driving homr to my mechanic. He just welded it back on for 130. And the guy straight up lied about my brakes needing to be replaced when they had 20000 miles left. Total crooks!
The worst had a one pm tire appt and the alignment wasn’t done until 2:30. The staff seemed more consider with helping people they knew versus the people who had been waiting for hours. The worst I would tell people stay far away.

COPIED FROM YELP: While I normally would not take the time to write a formal complaint, I must respectfully express how poor and unacceptable my experience was at the location in Branford, CT. Last week, I brought my 2012 Hyundai Elantra in for an engine diagnosis and engine service work. I was instructed prior to the write-up of an estimate that the engine diagnosis (which a $100 fee was charged for) would determine the root cause for my engine light being on. I felt reassured upon receiving a call from the service technician that the issue was an alternative O2 sensor and ignition coil. I mention alternative because I had replaced a sensor previously. Desperate to resolve my engine issue in time before emissions were due for my vehicle, I accepted the exorbitantly high quote that I was quoted. I was quoted nearly $900 for the work to be completed. First of all, I am a claims adjuster who is aware of the pricing markup and excessive labor rates at Firestone. However, I had a Firestone Credit Card and needed to get the work done fast. They marked up my O2 sensor by 200-300% and then added fuel system cleaning charges and labor (nearly $400) that was not even necessary. I originally didnt care because I wanted my vehicle fixed quickly.When I went to pick my vehicle up, the engine light was temporarily off. It turned back on shortly after. I brought the vehicle back and Firestones excuse after re-diagnosis was that if the light went back on again, it would be a computer issue that my dealership would have to resolve. Coyly, the technician I checked out with the night prior didnt even look me in the eye or acknowledge me. I spoke with another technician that day. As soon as I got back into my vehicle, my engine light was already on again. I felt as though nothing was accomplished. I also discovered upon my second visit that the center is an emissions testing center. Why would this center not have proactively offered me to take the test unless they knew they couldnt resolve my issue? Why was I reassured of the work completed and charged $900 only to later hear a different story and excuse? I cant help but think that this is a combination of the fault of poor management, frontline auto employees who lack knowledge and integrity on auto service work, and lame procedures designed by Firestones corporate team to take advantage of hard-working middleclass citizens.I feel that Firestone locations should be audited or investigated for such crude and unethical acts. I also think a lawsuit can be formed against Firestone after careful investigation of the integrity of work that comes from their employees once enough of these occurrences are well-documented. I would be quick to presume that many individuals who present a specific issue type to Firestone but have auto knowledge will be quick to identify any fraudulent practices or un-necessary labor offered. I will be reviewing actions to take, including the proceedings to file a complaint to the BBB and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Firestone should not have charged me any labor to avoid resolving or fixing the real issue I have. Because their employees were so apt to pull a fast one on me and not be direct with me, I will be pulling the trigger and ending my partnership with Firestone. I will go through the proper proceedings to ensure that proper authority and/or authorities are notified of this corporate theft against customers.Respectfully,Matthew T.
Called yesterday to get an oil change and a tire rotation and was told that I could show up and wait to hopefully get a spot or I could schedule an appointment for today. So I setup today at 1200 and when I get there I am told it will be a 2 hour wait or I can reschedule to next week sometime!! Are you serious??

Way too overpriced, awful customer service, and I felt pressured by the staff to keep getting more and more done to my car even after repeatedly saying I couldnt afford it. It seems as if they like to take advantage of those not as knowledgable in cars. I will never come back here again. These people care more about your money than actually helping you. If you go in to get one thing done, these greaseballs will try to sell you on getting three more services as well as a trash warrenty for each service. Beware these people are more of salesmen than anything. Avoid at all costs.
I had a Sunday appointment for an oil change at noon. 12:30 came and I asked about my service. When My car wasnt yet in the bay by 1 oclock I asked for my keys and was about to leave.The manager Anthony apologized, explained they were down a mechanic and took in my car and to do the service himself. Thank you Anthony, you walk the talk.

I schedule an appointment it took him 15 minutes after I got there before they started working on my truck. They did work that I told them not to do, and still charged me for it! Then in the process of bleeding my brakes they told me that it blew a line and said it would take an hour and half to fix (I thought that maybe they had to go and get a new line, not the case it was only a fitting )after an hour and fifteen min of the mechanic working on a different vehicle he went back to mine and replaced the fitting. Way over priced for the work that was supposed to be done!

Came in to get 1 loose rim to just mount a new tire. Came in at 11:50 and is now 2:32 and still waiting. A 5 minute mount no balance is coming close to 3 hrs.
