This place has been nothing but horrible. The doctor was fantastic, it’s so sad he has such a terrible front desk. First of all, they mischarged me $300 for my visit because my insurance DOES cover it, and that was three months ago. I have yet to receive my refund. I have been extremely adamant about it. Second of all, when rescheduling my appointment because the doctor was late, they refused to give me medication to get me by the 10 days. I didn’t know doctors are okay with their patients being without their medication. Lastly, when I asked to speak to my doctor again before I left, the front desk told me to sit. Then, kicked me out saying he will call me WHEN HE’S READY FOR ME TO COME IN. I sit and wait in my car for 45 minutes, then finally go back in to hear my doctor will call me and “I can leave”. The doctor never called but I’m sure the front desk never told him. I’m disgusted this is how he runs his practice. Please do not go here. They are not interested in helping you with absolutely anything. So not one of my emails were received? Interesting. I also DID in fact present my insurance information, the women said it did not cover my visit. I called my insurance who even said my appointment was 0 cost. Still, I was charged for the initial visit… then the rest I wasn’t.Update: Still no email or call back. Trust the reviews people! This doctors office ARGUES with every negative review on their page. So unprofessional. If they have the audacity to not own up to any mistakes online, imagine what they’re like in person. Please don’t send your loved ones here.

This place is very with no ethic at all, I started my treatment with them and till this day I still havent recovered from it. Now the doctor is great helpful and respectful. But the staffing at this place is horrible they dont return calls and when I called the last time its say to kindly leave 1 message and so I did but time went but and I called and left another, never called back. They answer you with the rudest way and told me I signed paperwork stating certain things like acting like they dont care. Im going to report them and will never recommend or go back to this place. Again the doctor is but staff upfront are horrible and need to be replaced.

I want to start off by saying I came here desperate, weak and vulnerable. FOR THE FIRST TIME I had experienced a nasty breakdown that led me to this place seeking desperate help. At first everything seemed to be going well. The practioner that screened me seemed to have true intentions of helping me throughout my crisis, she was comprehensive, patient and had a smooth approach. I was always reluctant to take medication and truly I was seeking therapy. The therapist that saw me on my very first visit was quick to say you have a personality disorder and you need medication, and there no way around it. I know its tough but it is what it is. Being in a weakened mental state and desperate I went back to the psychiatric nurse because at this point, although reluctant, medication was the way to go and I wanted to get better desperately. It took me two weeks to finally make the decision of taking my meds, during this period the practioner was very attentive with my progress and my follow ups were often which was great. I Start medication and within days I have adverse effects. I tried dealing with the side-effects on my own and did not want to call the practioner after hours on a Sunday aside from the fact that it is against office policy to contact the mental health professionals after hours. The side-effects were so intense I needed to inform the PRESCRIBING professional of my side-effects. She did not answer and I was forced to go to an ER. I later scheduled an appointment at a sooner date to get checked and to inform her of what had happened. Im thinking everything is going to be good because she had been great to me. When I start telling her this and apologizing which I shouldnt have to apologize calling my doctor. She says and this is verbatim and not altered at all, you couldve called every hour on the hour and I still would not pick up. That is the time for my family and friends.I DO NOT GET PAID FOR AFTER HOUR SERVICES,that is what emergency services are for. I was shocked and continued the consultation normal. I later asked that I wanted talk therapy and she said I wasnt ready. Not ready for talk therapy? I left her office with a new prescription. At that moment I lost all trust in her, canceled my next appointment and never went back. Im now undergoing holistic treatments and I feel so much better, with no medication. Now that Im better I would like to advise anyone in a desperate position seeking mental health, to exercise caution when dealing with this industry. It really is the wild west. In regards to the practioner Id like to thank her for her initial care and ask her to think before she speaks and to reflect whether she is doing this with the primary intent of getting paid or to actually provide proper mental health care, since there are a lot of patients who depend on her to get better and to lead normal lives. Id also like for the practice to take this constructively. If you read the negative reviews youll find a pattern that the practice will use patients conditions and circumstances to retaliate and discredit their reviews. I ask the office not to use or divulge anything against me. Thank you.

People always post the bad - I had a great experience both times I went to the office - my nurse practitioner Andrea is the kindest person. She did not make me feel rushed and listened to what I had to say about medicine. She made me a part of picking what would work best for me. And I never felt better. She put me on the best medicine and I can say I do not feel all depressed or anxiety anymore. If you need help this office can help you.

The doctors are nothing but pill pushers. If something doesnt work theyll give you another concoction of pills hoping something sticks. All of which causes terrible side effects. The front desk staff is terrible, its a gamble if theyll answer the phone or not. Extremely rude in person. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

The women at the front desk could care less about the patients especially if something goes wrong and you run out of medication. There were times where I call and leave a message but never get a call back. They always seem to have an attitude. I mentioned I had no insurance, was self pay and working on finding a good insurance that covers mental health. I was told to go sit down, along with a sigh and frustrated response. I like my doctors but the front desk and policy is just ridiculous. I plan to find a different place that actually has some empathy and keeps you informed of changes, especially when it comes to no longer prescribing Benzodiazepines. I dare you, you share my personal business in here. For your information, I wasn’t offered 6 options, only two. We just moved here from Iowa and was calling around to find a psychiatrist for my son that is on the spectrum. I was on hold for about 5 minutes to speak with someone to just get an answer by the rudest person. So unprofessional!! My son is 18 so she told me that he needed to schedule it himself and when I said we make his medical decisions she rudely told me I needed to send a power of attorney over and I was like one second let me get him on the phone and have him schedule it, then she rudely told me that he could not do it and to send over a power of attorney. We just wanted to get an appointment scheduled. The person that answer the call needs to be trained in professionalism and how to communicate properly with people. They lost a potential new patient, but maybe it was better off for us, if that’s the type of staff they have.

I AM A VETERAN. I currently work at the VA in Tampa in the Mental Health service and never before have I seen horrific customer service as I have experienced at this office. I love my provider Diana, but the front line staff, who should be the most sympathetic and try everything to ensure a patient receives information they need, talk to the provider for medication refills, etc.... but they dont. Front staff do not care about the situation you are currently in. I had tried for 3 weeks to reschedule an appointment and of course the phone ALWAYS goes to voice mail. Sometimes they may return your call, but if you are at work, you are not always able to take the call, so you have to try several more times before you get a call back. I even wrote a message on the web-site, and still NO answer. Then they wanted to come back and say, after 3 weeks of trying to get an appointment, that they are not able to because I owe fees. One was because a provider called out, so why is that my fault? The second one is because I cancelled an appointment, which is true, but I cancelled 2 DAYS in advance. They said they needed to talk to the manager and will get back with me. Of course they never did. So I continued to call again. And again, they tried to say I owed fees but finally got passed that with scheduling an appointment, 3 WEEKS OUT. Even after saying, I AM OUT OF MEDICATION. No assistance at all. No saying I will pass on this information to the provider to get you through the next 3 weeks until your appointment. So, I am sitting here with no medication trying to get through the next 3 weeks. I am informing my Primary Care Doctor, who recommended this place, to not put any more patients through this ordeal, especially when dealing with very sensitive mental health issues.

A close friend recommended I make this post to prevent anyone going through the same trauma. I’ve always had depression since I was a little kid. Once I had my first child it became very severe, to the point my family asked me to try it for the sake of my son.I got this facility’s information through my insurance. I wish I would have seen the reviews before I came, I would have asked for a different referral.I called and made an appointment. Showed up and did all of the paperwork, I waited for an hour. People were showing up and going back instantly. I figured it was because I was new. But then, when everyone in the office was eating their food. A woman opened the window and asked if I had an appointment. This gave me a sinking feeling of non-importance, a feeling I was already quite familiar with. So I held back the tears and said yes. She took me back a few minutes later. The woman asked me of my life in a short breakdown, which I didn’t feel like was enough to determine what’s going on and prescribe me so fast. She said I’m severely depressed and angry for it. She prescribed me a depression medicine and to come back in two weeks because I was a “high risk”. I agreed it was urgent, and decided to make a following up appointment.A week after taking the medication I had a really horrible panic attack and tried to call the office. They said I can’t speak to her and had to call 911. I only wanted to ask if it was okay if I stopped taking it until our appointment. They denied me. So I stopped taking it.When it came time for my second appointment, I arrived and had to pay $65.00 for my copay. I do not have very good insurance, so it’s kind of high. I was prepared though, because I had to pay this amount for my first appointment. But, as I was waiting the front desk called me back up and said I still owe $65.00. They said it was because Im going to be talking to two people, even if it was at the same appointment. They’re charging two copays. I didn’t have enough money on my card. I told her sorry I can’t afford it and she said hold on sit back down. The woman from my first appointment called me back 30 minutes later. She asked if it was okay if there was someone in training sitting and listening. I felt uncomfortable about it, but I said yes. What could I say? I was bombarded. She sat me down and ask how I’m doing. I told her I fee like I was reacting bad to the medicine. She asked if I saw the councilor yet, I said no I couldn’t pay for it today. I thought the front desk would have told her. I said I feel like I wasted my time, because can’t pay for the treatment. She instantly yelled “I’m not dealing with this”. Jumped out of her seat and walked up front. I didn’t know what to do so I went up front after her. She was telling the front desk to process my refund. I said I’m sorry I can’t afford it. She yelled why did you pay for one when you knew you couldn’t pay for the other. She wouldn’t let me explain it was the front desk who did this. I felt so hopeless. The woman who’s job is supposed to be a guidance and safe place for people like me, is running me out of the building like I’m diseased. Because I didn’t have enough money to pay two copays in one day.I didn’t speak, if I did I would burst in tears. I got to my car. Sat and tears started streaming down my face. Complete and total hopelessness and despair. This was my last outlet for help. And even a licensed professional treated me like my life didn’t matter, only what was in my wallet.I tried to drive home but I was too hysterical to see through the tears. I had to have my partner pick me and my car up. These people had no regard for my life. They sent their “clinically depressed” patient out the door after pushing me into a mental breakdown from the behavior they exhibited. They put my life in danger. I want to prevent this from happening to someone else like me. And after this, I’m scared to keep seeking help.

Sent home because I was 40 minutes late for my appointment. Didn’t think it would be a problem since I usually wait that long when I am on time for my appointments. I’ve been a patient here for 5 years and I know that they double and triple book appointments but today the doctor couldn’t see me. I was once called non- compliant because I sometimes need to reschedule my appointments even though I always adhere to the cancellation policy. So I was still charged for being a no show even though I arrived for the appointment. I am on medication that can cause serious danger to my health if I go without but neither the staff nor the nurse practitioner I am forced to see seem to care all that much. I recently lost my job so I am back to paying out of pocket for my visits. They also made a mistake with my former insurance so now I have to pay full price for my last appointment before I can schedule another appointment. I’ve known for some time they this place is basically a pill mill as patients tend to not spend more than 5 to 10 minutes with their providers which allows them to double and triple book. I have to agree with others who feel that this place is only interested in the money since they are now going to stick it to out of pocket patients by nearly doubling the price of visits. I seriously don’t know what to do now. They prefer that I go to the ER or to a primary care if I need my medications. This goes to show how uneducated the woman in the front is since neither would prescribe me these medications. I plan on filing a complaint with the State.

I havent had to wait more than an hour, and most of the time not more than 30 minutes or less. Sometimes they have to pay more attention to critically ill patients and I understand that. One time, I came in and a patient was having a severe episode and ambulance was called. The receptionist was in the front lobby caring for this patient and trying to calm her down and it brought tears to my eyes, they were so sweet and caring. Ive never had problems with the staff at all. Theyve always been nice to me. Ive only seen the nurse practitioner but Im ok with that. Ive been improving over the years and stabilized with their help and my therapists help. They clearly state their attendance policies. They do seem to care about their patients. Long story short...I tried to change my appointment the day of because of unforeseen circumstances and was told they’d have to charge me $30 because I’d be considered a “no show,” so I went back because I HAD to, and after having me go through hoops just to continue to be on medication that I’ve been on for years that was prescribed to me by another doctor, I was told I should be on something else more appropriate for me. I told the doctor there I wasn’t interested in changing my meds since what I’ve been taking was working so well for me, but all she could say was that I could speak to a manager because she wasn’t going to prescribe it. I cleared all the tests by the way AND my EKG was normal, but she still refused. I told the doctor well I wish I was informed of this before I had these tests done, AND came back for another visit, but all she said was sorry but that’s the protocol. I was very hesitant in scheduling a new patient appointment due to the reviews, but decided to schedule anyways (Dont judge a book by its cover). My current ARNP does not see patients on Fridays and I need a Friday visit due to my job.First visit went well felt the staff and the ARNP were kind and willing to help me with my condition. They do require a drug test the first visit, I was ok every office has a different protocol, so I didnt fuse until I received a bill from the lab 2100. Called my insurance it was out of network and the ordering physician was not even the doctor I saw. I work in the medical field and as an office we make sure all exams/medications are covered if not it is courtesy to inform the pt that they may be responsible for the whole amount.Second visit with ARNP went ok, I did ask her about the bill she told me ask the front staff. My insurance requires maintenance drugs be send in to my mail order pharmacy for a 90 day supply. She indicated they are not allowed to authorize no more than 2 month supply. I do give them credit for assisting me in trying to get my meds through a different local pharmacy, until the mail order was situated out. I feel that issue could have been all avoided if only they would have send in my medication correct the first time 90 day to my mail order pharmacy.I agree with the previous reviews it is very difficult to reach them left 2 voicemails to cancel my appointment no one called. I remembered that I had an email to the office, while scheduling my new pt appt., for Heather so I emailed her to cancel appointments and verify that visits had been cancelled. The office building is old and not clean at all. In the lobby by the restroom they have a decorative palm tree in the base of it you could see dust and some one had removed a tag of their clothes and just threw it in there. I noticed this my first visit, assuming office will be cleaned by the next time nope the tag was still in the same spot! The restroom needs to be cleaned, it smelled weird and was very dirty. The receptionist is fare, seems like she is just there for a paycheck not to care for patients. The three times a dealt with her she was ok. I asked if they could make an exception as I only needed my medication and they were unable to work with me or my situation. I wasn’t going to reschedule, I didn’t say another word. I fired them, and hired a legit practice. Best choice I made. Also they NEVER answer their phone, so good luck trying to make an appointment.

The place is a dump. The bathroom looked like I hadnt been cleaned since they moved in, which I got to see more than once as I waited over 2 hours to be seen. When I finally asked why, I was greeted with rudeness. No apolology, no I understand, just a plain, unashamed attitude of, if you dont like it you can leave. So I left. The doctors here could be the greatest in the world, but youll never know unless youre cool with allowing a business, that makes its its profits off of you, to unabashedly waste your time and expect you to like it.

JT is practical. He is the most amazing and knowledgeable therapist I have ever met. He is kind as well as listening & funny. He is NOT homework happy. He is also very frank and honest. He is sure on what he says. I was reluctant to go at first, but am grateful that I did. Over 3 years of seeing other dumb a$$ therapists, JT is a true blessing. I love him.

I called in behalf of my wife and i have never been spoken down to before like i did when i got the call back. She would not identify herself and would not let me nor my wife speak to the assistant. I am getting her into another doctor.Called in today 4 times to speak with someone to cancel out a script they wrote for my wife because new doctor office wants to prescribe different medication. They do not answer the phone and the script area transfers you to main line because they do not want to deal with a former patient. If anyone from here reads this, please respond to one of the 3 voice mails I have left

Worst doctors office ever. I was running low on my SSRI prescription and needed a refill. Literally no one would pick up the phone for 2 days, straight to voicemail. I had to use the doctor phone line to reach them. They also try to charge you 25 bucks if you dont show up for an appointment. Go literally anywhere else but here.

Horrible costumer service!. Whoever is working in the front desk needs to be fired. I called to make an appointment and the lady who answered responded with hi I just put my phone to charge and it has low battery so let me call you back. ... like what....? I called the next day to try to make an appointment and it just send me to voicemail. Called various time throughout the day because I though they might just be busy, but no. Front desk lady obviously does not know how to do her job. Even if I have to drive an hour and a half to another Psychiatric group, I rather do that than go to this place. I can most definitely see why they have such horrible reviews.

Vikki is by far the rudest person I ever encountered . Putting it mildly she is condescendig as well as a smart mouth. Hello she works with the mentally ill and she will be reported.Note to Vikki ....God despises ugly people and I hope they replace you with someone who can do their job properly.

Truthfully, the psychiatrist fell asleep during my session on diagnosis. I tried to ask for a refund and they denied my request. Worst place honestly; terrible energy for people who suffer from trauma. Please do not go here. It’s for your own benefit.

If there was a negative star id give it. The staff are extremely rude. They refuse to give appointments with the doctor you have previously seen. Since they began sending scripts direct to pharmacy the person sending will give different meds from what the doc says he will prescribe then if pharm doesnt have your meds for some reason your out of luck you cant have them send it to a different pharmacy. Theres always a 2 hour wait in an empty waiting room the bathroom is disgusting and the staff attittude is horrible. The girls art The front desk are cold and rude. They look at you as though you are trash under their feet when u walk in the door. The doctor was a great doctor at one time but his lack of care for his patients is running his practice into the ground. Forcing patients to see a NP and the NP telling the doctor how to prescribe meds is a sorry practice. Also discussing other patients personal information with you is illegal. Which was done with me while i was with the doctor. Ive been seeing this doctor for a long time and he used to have lots of people wanting to see him. More and more people walk out of the office and leave from the way they are treated from front desk staff. They now have signs stating no kids in the office bc of emergencies and so on. But staff have their teenagers sitting front desk when you come in. I bet if the staff werent so rude to the patients there wouldnt be many patient emergencies.

A dump. They prescribed my mother the wrong medications. We go to CVS to get her Geodon and she was given something completely different. Thank god she had a good doctor in Colorado who phoned her an emergency month supply. This place made her wait 2 months to get re-seen to get her Geodon. Without Geodon she will talk to herself and she will become mentally unstable due to having Bipolar with manic episodes. She has had Bipolar since I was a kid for over 17 years we have been through her illness together. This has been the only time in the history of her illness that I am writing a negative review regarding a doctor Ive taken her to. She has Medicare and Tampa has no medicare psychiatry help aside from this dump. In other states most if not all places accept Medicare with open arms. Weve never ran into this before. As her care giver I am OUTRAGED!
