BMH is a facility that lures people to come and receive services but at the end of the day all they care if for themselves. My boyfriend went there seeking for help in different issues that are affecting his present and maybe his future, his counselor interviewed him once then on the second appoinment she expressed her experience was not long enough to treat him, he called the administrator who did not help either and during the conversation she mentioned he could go to the “ Crisis Center” my boyfriend was not suicidal neither homicidal he was just asking to be referred to another counselor with more experience than his initial counselor, this lady said he will be assigned to a waiting list for a counselor who has more years treating patients under his belt. Then after maybe 2 weeks he received a message basically saying he needed to get assistance somewhere else.I have no doubts they might altered his record documenting a false statement to justify he needed more Emergency treatment than outpatient services to be able to cover all kind of liabilities for refusing to provide care. I am an RN and I have family members on the Psychology field so I know the way he was treated was not right.I pray to God I will see them in church so I can tell them that God does not like ugly.
I used BMH through my insurance provider, specifically Counselor Charles Preuett for over a year, at first online during initial covid days and later face to face, and I am very satisfied with the services and counseling I received. Charles is a superb listener, who seldom judges ones words or actions, and when he disapproves whatever a person divulges, he provides reasons for his disapproval. I found Charles to be knowledgeable, well read, and common sensical. If a person is looking to help her or him self and needs an experienced listener who can steer one in a positive direction, Charles Preuett can help a great deal. I give BMH a thumbs up all around, for everyone I had contact with has been cordial and informative.
Shane Raymond who is the leadership at BMH refused to provide a copy of records which I have a federal right to access. He then altered my medical records that had previously been electronically signed. Altering records compromises my safety and health. He has caused more harm and continues to cause harm everyday that my records are not amended to be accurate. I would not trust mine or a loved ones care to a LCSW that would inappropriately alter records. This is not ethical leadership.
My therapist D. Davis is amazing. She gives great talking points and really listens!!! She helped me during times of need. I appreciate her for it. If you are considering talking with someone this is a good place to start!
My therapist, Charles Preuett, is encouraging, supportive and Intelligent. He has given me strategies to deal with the grief in my life and the push that I needed to take charge of my health care. I highly recommend him. My experience with the other staff members at Brandon Mental Health have been great. I cant thank them enough.
It is egregious that Shane Raymond would alter my medical records ultimately compromising my safety and health. The lowest of the low. I will speak up until my records are accurate and no longer compromise my safety and health. Shane Raymond has not even attempted to correct his egregious decision to inappropriately alter my records.
My therapist Dona Davis is the best, she help, listen and give you the calm that you might need. I 100% recommend. All the staff are incredible.
I am glad to be a part of Brandon Mental Health. Leadership is very positive and focused on self care.
The counselors at BMH are very professional and caring individuals. I would not hesitate to recommend BMH.
Clara, I’m glad that you’ve healed. However, I wonder if you have. You’re a natural victim blamer, were you there when the abuse occurred? Also, who are you to say that some mental illnesses can’t be cured. How false and discouraging, there are other ways or people that provide better help.If you’ve truly been cured, don’t publicly victim blame others that may have been traumatized by their experience with 0 knowledge of what occurred.
I am very happy with my therapist at BMH.
The one star is for the owner taking the time to listen to me and not dismissing me. The therapists there did more harm than help. I am currently seeing a phenomenal therapist elsewhere, that is helping me get over the damage done to me at this establishment through the use of ART.
Please be careful if you chose Nicole as a therapist. She is emotionally damaging and makes it difficult to leave her. She see’s couples individually and then violates HIPPA LAWS. Please be warned because she is not honest about her actions. Take caution in your choice.
Some of the staff are nice, but theres one specific lady named Alicia, had a nasty attitude, would hang up on me and my mother in law when we would call to speak to her son.April 10, 2020
Love my therapist
