Dr Magnan is absolutely one of the best I have ever had!! He is funny and very personable. His assistant is equally great! I hate going to the dentist my fear level is at a 99. But with him, it hits different. I have yet to feel pain when he working on my teeth. They both have me feeling welcomed and relaxed from the moment I arrive until the moment I leave!!! I drive all the way from Boston just to see them. Where ever they go I’m going to follow🤗🤗🤗🤗

Lisa at Reception was a god send. Went out of her way to help us with applying for insurance/payment plan and when I locked my keys and belongings in my car she called us AAA. Her and the team went above and beyond, truly a bunch of great people, and the level of hospitality of a fine hotel. The oral surgeon was quick, professional/friendly and funny as well.

I had an appointment today with Maggie for my regular cleaning. She is always friendly and gentle and she does a great job!! I would never consider going anywhere else. The dentists are fantastic as well and the front office staff are wonderful.

I broke my temporary crown Friday night 4/3/21. Saturday morning I called Gentle Dental in Braintree, and immediately I had an appointment for Monday. As soon as I walked in the door, the receptionists were professional and amiable. The dental staff made me feel comfortable and because of their approach, I felt no anxiety. The gentle dental doc knew exactly what to do. He was very knowledgeable about temporary crow repair. I don’t think I was in the office 20 min. I felt like a movie star ⭐️. I will always come back.

Gentle Dental is a great place to go! Everybody is always so kind. They are never hard to get a hold of and you never wait long. Every time I’m there, I always enjoy my conversations with the staff! And the doctors! I definitely recommend them!

Today was my follow up visit!!! Dr.Parks is just wonderful. Removing my stitches was quick 👍🏻..He was also very clear about how I needed to conduct my eating abilities & assured me everything is coming along nicely. Dr. Mangan is a TRUE SPECIALIST!!! Had my first visit here over the weekend, and I could not be happier! My son and I went for joint visits. They gave my son a cleaning and sealants to protect his teeth from cavities. His entire process was so smooth, he loved being there! I was also seen and we came up with a comprehensive treatment plan that took into consideration my current dental needs as well as economic circumstances. We both already have appointments to go back. Would recommend!

100% would absolutely recommend! I had a 10 year old filling fall out Friday night. After scrambling all night to try and find someone to take me on Saturday, I called gentle dental in Braintree. They set me up for 1 o’clock, I got there early and went right in. My filling was replaced and it barely cost anything! Super friendly staff and the dentist was amazing. Can’t thank them enough.

Dr Fakhri and the assistants were kind, professional and most of all educating me and explaining my dental needs. I am not from the area and I have never received such a detailed and thorough dental exam in my life. It was nice to receive exceptional care. I only wish I would have had this care years ago. I have been a customer with Gentle Dental, the Braintree office, for over 10 years. I go there for annual teeth cleaning. A small number of their hygienists are professional and friendly, while others are not. Dr. Shapiro was friendly. He sometimes would try to promote some treatments. However, if you say no, he doesnt force you. The receptionists are the worst. They can cancel your appointment in the morning on that day. They are also very rude. Additionally, the office frequently forces you to do additional unnecessary exams and treatments. I had to inform them that I have the right to refuse any treatment and exam. Then Dr. Shapiro came out and said its fine, then they stopped.

Teresa noble is THE BEST dental hygienist! She’s so kind and willing to answer any questions. I’m not the best flosser, and she walked me through every step of how to floss correctly. She answered any question I had and did a really good cleaning job. My teeth (and now gums) have never felt so good!! I really recommend her and gentle dental for teeth and people that will make you feel happy and confident!

I have been a patient at this Gentle Dental for several years. I recently had nine crowns, including my upper front teeth, and I couldnt be more pleased with the result. I had needed this work done for some time but hesitated to spend the money and have so much done at once, but my confidence in Dr. Steven Shapiro led me to go forward, and i honestly cannot stop smiling! Despite the large amount of work done, i experienced minimal discomfort afterward. Dr. Shapiro is a terrific dentist, and the assistants, hygienists, and office staff are highly competent and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro and this gentle Dental office.

I recently had treatment at Gentle Dental in Braintree with Dr. Jillian Smith (dentist) and Jen Medina (hygienist). It was honestly a great experience overall. Dr. Smith was very professional, thorough and personable. Jen was very nice and gave me the best cleaning I have ever had. Everyone of the staff were super helpful and extremely nice. Originally came in for the 59$ special for teeth cleaning/X-rays and now plan on going here for all my dental needs.They have a great deal for 100$ a year for exams and X-rays and everything else is 15% off. Their hours are convenient with my work schedule and its never an issue to schedule an appointment when needed. The front desk are friendly and helpful at explaining how my insurance works. I was referred here to see Dr. Smith for my braces. They were super friendly and very proffesional . Had a small mishap with payments but they took care of it by adding free whitening kit which came in handy after removing my braces . Dr. Smith is the best . Im one of those people that hate the dentist and dread going. For the first time I found a dentist that I actually like. I love Dr Stephen Shapiro, he made me super comfortable during the procedures. It was my first time getting cavities so I was unfamiliar with the process but he made it easy for me. The dental assistants are great too and very friendly. Dr. Stephen Shapiro has a great personality, very personable and more than willing to answer any questions that I have at that time.

I have been going to Gentle Dental in Braintree for the last 7-8 years. I recently broke a tooth and called the next morning as soon as they opened. I got an appointment first thing that morning and had work underway to fix the problem that afternoon. Dr Shapiro was great going over my options and got everything in place to take on some challenging work.

Wanted to wait till I healed before I wrote a review!I originally had an appointment at another dentist for an emergency broken tooth that was causing me some pain. Unfourtly there was a blizard on that monday so the office I had booked was closed.So I googled and Gental Dental was the only place open. I was a little hesitant to go to a chain, and had a horrible experience in January at a private practice dentist so I was willing to try anything!Dr.Shapiro is AMAZING and the only dentist ill see from now on. He took care of me right away, made me feel comfortable and safe. He was able to evaluate me and did my temporary crown that day! (March 6th I think?)Had the permanent cap done on the 25th, its now the 4th of April and Its like nothing ever happened!The young girls that were assisting Shapiro were professional and sweet, and the woman at the front desk are straight forward and knolagable!Highly highly recommend this office!

I just recently had some work done back in October and even after insurance I had a difficult time coming up with the rest of what I needed but,with some help,I was able to come up with it. Point to this is yesterday,I went in for a regular appointment and to discuss plans for the next procedure that I needed done and to my surprise I was told that,and after a talk on their end,that they were going to do the next procedure pro bono. I was very surprised to hear this. It came as a great relief because I was in the same boat as last time with how I was going to make up the difference of the balance after my insurance. I want give a very big thank you to both Dr. Christine Ambrose and Dr. Jeffery Reitzel. Im out of words. Ill just say that I very much appreciate this because I know that it isnt common for something like this to happen. I cant thank either of you enough. I have been using this dental practice for several years. From my first contact with this office my experience has been remarkable!Speaking with the receptionist on the phone is always pleasant and easy. She answers any questions in a warm, accommodating and reassuring manner. Making an appointment is always efficient, fast and convenient.On walking into the office, the environment is clean and comfortable. I am always welcomed with warm smiles and friendly greetings. The staff seems to respect my time because I am always seen within minutes of my scheduled appointment time (sometimes even early!) Whenever I have my teeth cleaned here, the hygienist does a great job! She is professional, highly skilled and kind. In the process of working on my teeth, she never makes me feel bad if Ive done a less than perfect job of flossing or brushing. Rather, she explains and communicates clearly and inspires me to improve my home care.The dentist I see is Dr. Shapiro. He is by far the best dentist I have ever had! Over the decades, I have had enough bad experiences with others that finally finding a dentist of this fine caliber is such a relief! Now I actually enjoy going to the dentist! Dr. Shapiro always explains his findings in an understandable way. He then offers several options for treatment and the benefits of each. There is never any pressure to choose a certain treatment. The choice is mine and I understand the best way to proceed under my current circumstances. He is by far the most skilled and gentle dentist I have ever had. He has treated me for cavities, restorations, crowns and a root canal. As he works, he checks in with me often to be sure I am comfortable. Incredibly, I have never experienced pain in his chair! My teeth and bite are more comfortable than they have ever been because he has corrected the less than perfect work of other dentists Ive had in the past. Dr. Shapiro also looks to the future of my dental care to let me know what work I may need in the near and distant future. He helps me develop a plan that makes the most sense for me, my health and my circumstances. The care I receive at this dental practice is complete, thorough, and always compassionate. I feel completely at home in this practice and I recommend them to family, friends, clients and anyone who is looking for remarkable dental care.

Great service

I was very pleased with my experience at Gentle Dental in Braintree. I did not have to wait long for an appointment and the staff were very nice and the office was clean. Dr. Ambrose was very thorough and patient while I explained my current problem with my teeth. She gave me a few options and suggested I see the periodontist Dr. Shamardi. I was able to see him in a few days and he too was very thorough. He explained the concerns he had with my teeth and gave me a plan to come back to have some implants and crowns. Everything was explained to me without pressure and I will return to Gentle Dental to have the work done.

Victoria is the best hygienist in the office!

I am giving a one start because its the lower score. I got a crown done at Gental Dental and a couple of years after it came out. They refused to take resposability and had the nerve to charge my insurance once again. I will never recomend them. They just lost my family as patients.

Went for a braces consultation after disappointing results from Smile Direct and the Orthodontist, after examining my teeth explained why the invisible braces didnt work and also explained what he would need to do to ensure results this time around

I had such an amazing experience with the oral surgeon Dr. Reitzel, and I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to him. I had been putting off having my wisdom teeth taken out, admittedly out of fear. My dentist believed I may have had decay in one of them, and at age 35, I had been told that the longer I wait the more likely my wisdom teeth could cause complications down the line. Fortunately, Gentle Dental offers free consults, so I took advantage of the opportunity to get a specialists expert opinion. I finally went through with it only because of how comfortable Dr. Reitzel made me feel every step of the way. Hes extremely approachable, down to earth, and personable.Dr. Reitzel informed me that based on my x-rays, none of my teeth were impacted, and furthermore, their root structures were all “short tapered form.” This indicated the procedure should be pretty standard. Still, I was very nervous since I never had surgery or a tooth pulled before. The idea of being knocked out by general anesthesia scared me, and the idea of having all 4 teeth at once seemed both unnecessary and overwhelming. Dr. Reitzel was very sympathetic to my quirky phobias, and allowed me to make my decision so I would feel comfortable. I ultimately opted for a combo of local anesthesia and nitrous gas, and to start with just one side of the mouth (thus giving me another side to continue chewing food). I scheduled my appointment over a long weekend to have one extra day away from work to recover.As far as the actual procedure, everything went as smooth as can be. I have to say nitrous is a wonderful thing, and definitely suggest it to anyone feeling uneasy. It completely took the edge off – as if I had just consumed a few beers really quickly. I was fully conscious of everything around me, but no longer seemed to have a care in the world, and I think even started cracking some jokes. I also had my ipod playing my favorite music during the procedure – though I kept it at a level in which I could still listen to what Dr. Reitzel had to say. He really has an incredible chair-side manner, and his best trait is his communication. He verbally explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. I greatly appreciated this info, much like a nervous flight passenger yearns for a pilot to address the cabin. My teeth came out so quickly, easily, and pain-free, I almost wanted Dr. Reitzel to take the remaining two out on my other side right then and there. If I can leave you with any advice its thatconscious patients are going to feel light pressure through the numbness when such force is applied to their teeth and they start to move. However, this shouldnt be mistaken for pain. I was never in pain for a single second.Post operative re-covery was also relatively simple. Dr. Reitzel gave me clear instructions on what I could and couldnt do, could and couldnt eat etc. I was given some pain killers, but I never needed them – I only used them to help fall asleep the first few nights. I used frozen peas to the side of my face on and off for a day, and replaced gauze every few hours. I went back a few weeks later as a follow up and Dr. Reitzel determined everything was healing properly. On the way out, I scheduled an appointment for my remaining two wisdom teeth, and thanks to Dr. Reitzel, I no longer have any fear! He is an awesome oral surgeon and gets my highest recommendation.

From start to finish, an amazing experience in this office! I was given an appointment the same day I called with a horrible toothache. Jamie went above and beyond trying to get me an appointment quickly, knowing that I was in agony. The staff was courteous and friendly. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Ambrose and Dr. Reitzel ( who is a fantastic oral surgeon ). I just returned from having a molar extracted and it was the least painful dental procedure Ive had in my life. I really felt no discomfort at all. Every step of the procedure was explained and I was asked many times if I was ok, feeling pain, etc. Im truly impressed with Dr. Reitzel, not only with his skills, but with his caring attitude and wonderful personality. RUN, dont WALK to this office if you live in the area and want exceptional service!

I really like Gentle Dental. I frequent the Braintree location, although I have also been to the Boston location (some of the staff travels). Ive done cleanings, deep cleanings, and surgery here, and all of it has gone fine!Special shoutout to Dr. Reitzel, my oral surgeon! Got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted a couple of weeks ago (bottom 2 were impacted), and he was excellent throughout the whole process. I had a pleasant/positive experience, even while having a complication (dry socket - eek!). Dr. Reitzel is super patient, and he makes me feel at ease. Shoutout to his team as well (Frankie, and a young woman whose name I dont know!).Warning: In my experience, appointments often have to be scheduled really far out. I waited around 1.5 months from when I called for my deep clean, which was two sessions with about 1.5 months in between as well, and my oral surgery was scheduled several months out. That said, follow-ups with Dr. Reitzel were easy to schedule, and hell even take you a bit early if he can. I think if it really becomes an emergency, they will prioritize you; and honestly, its probably a good sign that its tough to get on the calendar!

I have been going to Gental Dental for several years, and all of my experiences with Dr. Shapiro and staff have been positive. Front Desk staff team is always very friendly and quick to assist with any dental emrgencies and accommodating with my schedule. Dr. shapiro is a great dentist and i have never had any issues following dental work. I would recommend Gentle Denal Braintree office to others!
