I had them assigned to fix my refrigerator from American Home Shield, which has just been as unresponsive. The repairman came and after he left, I noticed again the refrigerator still wasn’t working. This was 6 days ago, and I have left messages but have not received a call back. Extremely disappointed as I have used them in the past and have had better service. Please answer your phones and return your customers calls!
Was set up through home shield warranty. They never reached out to me in the time frame they were supposed to. Then I tried to reach out to them. NO voicemail just keeps ringing. Then my final attempt was email. However their email is invalid. At this point I was done. Called back home shield explained to them the situation and canceled my appointment and got my service call money back. If you own a company have a voice mail and keep up to date with your email account!
Still waiting on parts to service my dishwasher for a work order placed 3 months ago... even with parts back ordered, there is no excuse for a job to take this long. And like numerous other reviewers have stated, no one ever answers the phone during business hours, and it is usually days before any calls are returned. I was unfortunately assigned this company through my home warranty company, who they cannot even inconvenience themselves in calling to check on the status of the parts. Sadly, contract work through them is probably the bulk of their business.
They were assigned to us through AHS. Took three weeks to finally start working on our dryer. When they did and deemed it repaired, the dryer started banging after putting in our first load. We called them right away. No show, no call the next day. No returned phone calls for 3 days. AHS finally had to assign the job to another company to fix and finish their work.
Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but we just had a stellar experience with Cooper Appliances. After literally 5 GE technician repairs/call backs to fix the black marks our gas clothes dryer was leaving on our sheets, we were very frustrated. This time, American Home Shield (our warranty company) assigned it to Cooper Appliances. We were nervous based on the Google reviews but Cooper was fantastic.Coopers technician Steve was incredibly polite and knowledgeable. He figured out that it wasnt the bearings (the GE guys replaced those 3 times) but a soot issue. Once the repair kit was in, they picked up our dryer to fix it (another extremely polite tech) at their shop because they can do a lot more work there rather than onsite. Yes, it meant that we were without a dryer for a week but it was worth it.Carol handles all of the phones there so sometimes it is hard to get a hold of her because she is dispatch, customer service as well as the one who has to deal with getting the warranty company to live up to their promises. Please have patience because she is definitely doing her best to wear all of these hats at the same time! Thanks Cooper -- we will definitely request you in the future!
Have tried on several occasions to contact them on work that was done by the homes prior owner on an ice-maker they fixed. Emails, several calls, no one responds. When I come here to look at their reviews, I see that my experience is definitely not unique. Less than 2 months after the ice maker unit was fixed, its now not working and they wont answer a call to address their warranty policy, much less explain what they did the first time. Was trying to be fair with these guys since they were the recommendation of the prior homeowner, but they havent yet given me the opportunity (and yes, I have my own record of the calls that I can show, plus at least 2 messages on their voicemail WHEN it picks up, otherwise you get a fax machine or the voicemail menu). Darn difficult for a company to stand by its work when they wont even respond to the customer. It appears from prior reviews they blame them when theyve had a negative interaction. Caveat emptor.
We had no choice but to work with Cooper Appliance due to the home warranty that our new home came with. Unfortunately, our refrigerator stopped working and we had to use our warranty to fix it. They were very timely in calling us and scheduling services. They even gave us a loaner fridge to use while ours was out of commission because a part that needed to be replaced was back ordered. We have no complaints regarding with working with them, would work with them again! Everyone was extremely polite and professional as well.
Unfortunately they do not answer the phone. They do not return voice messages. And when service finally provided, they state appliance should work in 4 hours. 15 hours later appliance is not working, they do not answer phone, and they closed repair ticket as completed. I can not express my dissatisfaction with this type of service. It has been 2 weeks and my refrigerator is not working.
It’s almost impossible to get them to answer the phone at any time of the day. They don’t use an answering machine, so the phone rings off the hook until it defaults to a fax machine pickup. they offer email as a form of contact, but they don’t return contact that way either. My refrigerator has an obvious electronic module fault, but they don’t want to fix it claiming that, since the fault is intermittently appearing, I must wait until it’s “more broken”... (?!)The lady that contacts costumers puts no delay in letting them know she could not care less about the issue with the appliance, or comment that it’s impossible to get in touch with them.Very disappointing experience. Would absolutely NOT recommend.
The technician was right on time very courteous and very skillful at what he did thank you Nick and see you next week
Stole my appliance and refuse to return my call.. have 2 phone numbers, 1 to a fax ma hine the other asks for a code
Excellent service. The technician was very prompt and knowledgeable. He knew exactly what was wrong with our washer and ice maker, ordered the parts and replaced them.Definitely recommend! A+
If I could give no stars, I would. I have the American Home Shield warranty and they assigned me to Cooper Appliances. Cooper called me this morning and when I tried to call back, they picked up my call then hung up. They didnt say hello or ask who was calling. I went to the American Home Shield Account Page and it said for me to call the contractor because she couldnt reach me! So I called back and the same thing happened 6 times. I called American Home Shield and the man called the same number that I just called 6 times, spoke to a man named Rocky and provided me with a date for service with an 8am-5:30pm service window and would call me 30 minutes before they arrived. This is ridiculous to expect people to sit around all day to wait for someone to call and say theyre coming. Also to ignore calls and pick up for the American Home Shield? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!
Doesn’t answer the phone. Doesn’t return your call.
Appliance company came promptly. Service man was nice and polite. One of the rod suspension springs was off. He noticed that the machine had had balance problems before. He noted that the tub ring was broken on the top of the tub do to in balance. After he replaced the rod suspension spring charged me a normal fee. After he left balance was still off machine was still knocking. Sent another email no response. Went down to local appliance part store bought a new set of Rod suspension springs replaced it myself machine works fine. You would think if one of the springs was off they would Replace the springs after noticing that the machine has been off balance for a while. If you have a minor problem with your wash machine or dryer or any other appliance use someone else.
I have done business with this company for years, and let me tell to you, EVERY dealing I have ever had with them has always been a positive one. From dealing with Cara and Dave in the office, to having one of the fantastic techs in my home on many occasions. I will continue to use them and refer them to all of my family and friends. Thumbs up to you all on your EXCELLENT customer service and knowledge.
No help at all called twice once outside window and lady in side wouldnt help. Just looked at me
Consistently excellent service and price over several decades as recently as today. Highly recommend.
This company was sent through warranty company to repair ice maker which wasn’t working great, but was working. Instead, they took the ice maker and told me it wasn’t covered, never calling, returning ice maker or returning call. Luckily, I was able to replace it myself. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your time with this company.
Dont use them......They were extremely prompt and upfront on the phone. However when the tech arrived he was unable to diagnose the problem, because he was not able to remove the panel on the GE refrigerator. He said it was frozen and would require 24 hours to defrost, but that the office was going to call with an estimate????? 24 hours ???? I asked how they know what parts to quote since he could not see the problem???? He said it was a common problem, so I have no idea why they charged a diagnostic fee and did not bring the parts????? I had in my possession a replacement fan that GE sent that I asked him to put in....He said he could not because of the freezing issue. They call later that day as promised and quoted me $392 for parts and labor and said the fan I had was the wrong one and not the problem. The next day I defrosted it with a hair dryer in 10 MINUTES myself, and pulled off the cover. The fan was not moving and stuck with bad bearings. It was the EXACT fan I had, and when I replaced it everything worked fine. Bottom line was they quoted me $392 for parts and labor that I DID NOT NEED, and said they were going to also replace the fan....yes....the one they said was wrong. Either the tech was mistake (Im being politically correct here, or he was trying to get me to pay for something I didnt need).....Dont call them....use You Tube and call All Parts in sarasota. The parts they wanted $180 cost $24 there....although I returned them because i didnt need them. (PS - I gave them a chance to rectify this before I posted this review and my email went unanswered)
We have a HMS Warranty program which has introduced us to Cooper appliances for service. Wont comment too much on HMS but the service from Cooper appliances on both occasions was outstanding. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. If they needed further assistance in answering our questions help was a phone call away.I can assure you that any appliance repair we need done will be done by Cooper. We are extremely satisfied with you.Thank you.
Very bad receptionist would not work with our days or time said they had nothing open except for what she wanted to give us. the repair guy however was as nice as can be and very polite when working on our dryer . . the office suck will never use the again as long as i live very poor and bad manners in the office
I am really angry with their scheduling people. I was told I would get a call right away when parts coming in. I tracked the parts, they arrived yesterday morning at their location! Called them and they told me it takes almost another week from the time the parts arrived to sending somebody out. American Homeshield hired them, I would never use them! Too bad I cant give zero stars!
Quick to schedule appointments, bad on finishing/ following up
We have been using Cooper for over 7 years and we have always been very happy. We recommend them to all of our friends.
I’ve been calling them for 2 weeks no answer or no one returned my calls they suck
Great Service. Repaired my refrigerators!
Cooper Appliance is AWFUL. Our refrigerator has been repaired by them 4 different times and they wont actually fix it. They keep just giving us a temporary fix but it breaks again 2 weeks later. Theyve also hooked up a loaner fridge in my home twice while they repaired my fridge at their shop and hooked it up wrong BOTH times! Water is leaking everywhere in my kitchen because of them. Plus they TAKE forever to actually come out and make repairs. This has been such a hassle and weve lost so much food because the fridge keeps breaking and they dont come out quick to fix it.I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM.
Having a rust-colored leak down the front of my refrigerator/freezer, I requested service through my home warranty with American Home Shield. They sent a technician from Cooper Appliances, who looked at the bad part, covered it up again and pronounced my problem cosmetic. The cosmetic part of the problem gets cleaned off by me, but that doesnt solve the underlying problem. But since they say cosmetic, American Home Shield will not cover the repair. I will never recommend either of these companies.
This company has come out and provided us outstanding service on atleast 3 separate occassions. They were sent by our Home Warranty Company. Their response was prompt, and their service was exceptional. On one occassion, a part needed to be ordered - and they even provided us with a loaner until the part came in. Their customer service is outstanding - they kept us informed along the way throughout each service call. We are so very happy to have a local company that provides such outstanding customer service - and we would definitely recommend them for not only their professionalism, but also for their quality of service!!!! Thank you Cooper Appliances, for going over and beyond!!!
I had one their guys come and check out my dishwasher that wasnt working. He said the start button wasnt working. He did nothing but hit buttons to reach this daignosis. He told me he would order the part and call me when it came in. He gave me no timeframe. After 10 days I called and was told the part wasnt in yet. After exactly 14 days he came back to replace the front control panel. After he left the dishwasher didnt work. I got to looking at the new control panel and realized its not new. I call them back and they tell me they did not replace the control panel, that I paid for, because the start button worked when he was here. He never told me it worked and never told me he didnt replace it. So now it has been 16 days since the origional diaganosis and the soonest they can come back to actually replace the bad part is another 5 days. Horrible service from all aspects. Never a smile from the technician or any politeness on the phone. My biggest problem is the fact that I paid for a new control panel, and didnt get one, and wasnt even told about it. I believe thats theft.
My refrigerator stop working over the weekend. Cooper Appliances responded 7:30 am Monday morning and had it fixed by 2:30pm the same day. Matt the repair tech was very professional. Thanks Copper Appliance. Paul
