Nice gym close to my home. It has nice equipment, its clean and has a good atmosphere.

I love the Bowie location! The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and never crowded when I go. The crowd meter on the LA Fitness is the best!

Showers were filthy with hair. They had someone walking around to ensure mask were worn but Noone in the bathrooms cleaning.

My wife and I came up here today to try to get a membership. Unfortunately, the representative that showed us around just started, according to her, so every question we had she said Im really not sure. Wouldve been nice to get a membership here but if we cant have minor questions answered BEFORE becoming a member, its no telling how things would go IF we actually became a member.

LA Fitness Bowie - The service was horrible. We had inquired about membership from 2 different LA Fitness establishments. The individuals we spoke to quoted a promotion they were having, very similar. When we went to sign up, the person said the person I spoke to made a mistake.I had already asked him if each establishment has their own promotions and he replied we all offer the same promotion.So when he said the person I spoke to made a mistake, The manager came and repeated the same thing, he made a mistake. I asked how is it possible that 2 people who dont know each other at 2 separate quoted me a very similar promotion. One on person and 9ne on the phone. The in person quote was even written on LA Fitness letterhead.They kept saying they made a mistake.I showed him a screen shot of what I was presented with the persons name on the screenshot. He kept saying they made a mistakeI asked again how can 2 people from 2 separate gyms make the exact same mistake and one put it in writing.The manager became argumentative so I informed him I am ending the conversation and we are leaving.I will not payronize LA FITNESS in Bowie

Great Gym and clean compared to other locations

The entire gym, especially the locker rooms, is filthy. Used paper towels all over the place. No hand sanitizer in the dispensers. Torn cushion on the equipment that cuts your skin when you’re working out. This place needs to be closed.

LA fitness is keeping to all the pandemic standards. There has not been more than 20 people in at the times I have gone lately. They take your temp and ensure you are wearing masks and have bottles of cleaning solution throughout

The training instructor who teaches aqua fit on Fridays and Boot Camp on Thursdays is amazing! He gives you a great workout. You will not be disappointed. The gym including the locker room/showers and pool are pretty clean. Kathy who cleans the gym does a great job.

My review Is on a staffer that works at la fitness in Bowie md. It is actually a clean up person ( a white older female). Now iF you are suppose to keep the gym clean and safe for everyone why do you always sit in the front just talking and checking folks in. We need you to keep the gym safe for us to work out. Now when I come in the evenings it is completely different, the guys that work in the evenings do their job of keeping the gym clean and safe. It is far too many folks that want a job. If the last does not want to clean and keep us safe, then stay home. I wish I would have taken pictures to show the mess that it was with her at work, you have got to do a better job, we pay to workout and be safe. I would like to say thank you to the two guys that work in the evenings......kudos to you both

I always enjoy a great workout on a Sunday morning to start the week of right. Took the 9:15 spin class and it was just what the doctor ordered to lose the covid weight. Will be back next week.

They are asking their subscribers to physically come to the club to cancel their membership in pandemic. Pathetic!I wanted to cancel my membership before my billing cycle. They asked me to physically visit the club in order to cancel it. I was worried about the ongoing COVID-19 issues, so couldnt go. After a week, I saw that they just charged me for a month. On calling them again, they were like there is another option of mailing the account closure documents to the California branch. I was like why the hell you didnt tell me about it before my billing cycle?Anyways, I thought they might need my card information to close the account and personally visited the club only to notice that they just clicked a button on their system and my membership was cancelled. Why the heck you would risk lives of your customers and ask them to visit the club in pandemic? Cant you just do it over the phone?Probably they are desperate and dont want to lose their customers.

I do like LA fitness Bowie love the line up for Monday at 545, Tuesday evenings Thursday evenings and Friday Mornings and Saturday mornings. We really need to get something better on Wednesday nights. Can we get Kickboxing class here. People are leaving Bowie to go to Crofton and Laurel for those classes. Please, please.

Best gym in the area. Been going there for 4 years now. Always clean and has absolutely everything. Weights are nicely stacked and the vibe is great. 👍

My first day back since Covid. Went to the ladies room & there was NO running water! All sinks were turned off with signs saying for social distancing. Tape off every other one if necessary but hand washing is a front line defense against this virus and many others. Plus not washing hands after using the restroom exposes your members to Hepatitis A & who knows what else. Not to mention its just dirty! I left immediately & wont be back until there is at least one functional sink in the ladies locker room. Ill also be in contact with the health dept

5 stars for my home gym! I love my instructors and I love that there are a variety of classes in the evening to keep me interested in going to the gym. Hannah, the kids club instructor is AWESOME!!! I am convinced she loves my little ones as much as I do lol! Keep up the great work LA Fitness/Bowie. Oh and pretty please start kids club at 8 am so that I can attend the 8:30 fitness class!

Cathy does an excellent job keeping the gym and locker rooms spic and span!! The gym is consistently well maintained...even the ceilings and sauna are clean, and especially the equipment. Its such a pleasure to walk into such a sparkling place to work out!

Just left my water aerobics class at Bowie LA Fitness. Love it! Norma is fun and equally important really skilled at providing a workout that is balanced between aerobics and weights and stretching. The class has a lively spirit and the students age mid 30s to 90 respond to Norma’s clear instruction. Also the pool is clear and the right temperature, the lifeguard watches us, and the showers and bathrooms are very clean. The best LA Fitness in the area.

By far the cleanest LA Fitness I’ve been to. It’s for this reason, I pass the location 4 minutes from my house. Mrs Cathy does a stupendous job with the upkeep of this gym. Superb job!!!

I just enjoy the atmosphere with many of my friends and the staff. Charles and Donnie are always looking for suggestions to improve the experience there. The gym is spacious and provides many weightlifting stations without feeling too close to one another. I would like to see the Espresso bike added as another piece of equipment.

Joined this gym recently and I havent been disappointed to date. The facilities are always clean and there is ample space to exercise without that overcrowded feeling that you get at other establishments. Joined with GM Donny who makes every effort to satisfy the customer which is definitely appreciated and refreshing. Off to a great start!

I work in bowie and like to use this gym after work. I was surprised to quickly notice that it is always maintained well . The front staff always greets with a smile. the trainers help out. The Zumba is really great. Norma is a wonderful trainer. The manager Don is always working hard to keep on top of things. I was a bit disappointed when a year ago the upper management cut back on the evening hours! Most of Bowie have federal employees, teachers, medical workers, lawyers, engineers and we work till 7 pm, some returning back from DC. We all look for a gym that opens till late at night. This gym has been picking up in membership numbers due to its hard working staff, but can do much better if the upper management returns back to the previous evening hours. Sometimes I miss out on the gym because it closes as soon as I am about to enter! I think the upper management should look at the Bowie population and serve the needs of the people of Bowie. This is a great gym, it needs longer evening hours for the working population of the City of Bowie

Ms. Cathy does the most above and beyond job keeping that gym clean. By far the cleanest one. Every time I come there she greets me with the warmest smile and such positive attitude. As busy as this gym can get it stays spotless. Shes truly amazing.

One of the finest places for me to do workout!!! All thanks to Don, the general manager!!! He welcomes every member with a smile and the condition of the gym, including the cleanliness of the gym, is commendable since Don joined the Bowie team. My only concern is the timings. I own a store and come home at 9, and by the time I am ready for gym, it’s already closed and on the weekends too, the hours must be longer. So if hours can be until midnight, more of my friends can join me at bowie location.

LA Fitness Bowie is an outstanding location. From the time you walk in until the time you leave you are greeted with nothing but friendly, personable staff. Donnie has made this place a top notch staple for the area as he goes out of his way to work hard making sure we, as patrons, have everything we need. Opening earlier on the weekends would certainly benefit us “early birds.” That alone would never deter me from referring friends/family here. Keep up the great work.

I always look forward to evenings at the LA fitness gym in Bowie. They have an amazingly friendly staff, with whom you can easily spark a conversation become friends and get help with the machines and work out. The gym itself is very good, the equipment is always in good shape and helps train me for tennis. The general manager Don, is always very kind, and very helpful. Though my only concern is that Id wish it have longer hours, because most times whenever I come, I can only spend one good hour before they close up. We need longer evening hours on Fridays and on the weekends.Most of us work out in the evenings after work and school. If they opened longer in the evenings more people will join the gym. I love coming to LA fitness Bowie for endurance training for tennis.

An amazing gym with an extremely professional and friendly staff. The machines are well maintained, locker rooms are very clean and the pool and sauna are always in working order. I have been a member of other gyms but by far this LA fitness in Bowie is one of the best in the area. The GM Donny has stepped up the gym to make it one of the most outstanding gyms in Bowie. I would rate it a “10 out of a 5 ! “ if only they would extend the timings to match the surrounding LA fitness gyms! Otherwise this gym with its cleanliness, well maintained machines, pools and friendly professional staff is one of the best ones in Bowie!

Mr Donny the GM is very knowledgeable in every aspect of his business, his professional yet very personable personality would encourage even the most discerning personality to stop, and take notice, in a time of machine/ computer mechanized every thing, where most all is rushed or automatic repetition he is humanely fresh, inspirational in his greeting, and approaches, to each guest as well, as each staff member, from my observations thus positively inspiring not only his staff, but each member that enters his site, which makes every visit a visit to look forward to, working out is relevant, relaxed, progressive, fun the facility is always exceptionally well kept, for the most part as a member you are remembered by the staff which really makes a big difference, you are always made to feel safe, welcomed, appreciated as a member, always greeted positively, those with special needs are given exceptional considerations consistently,. We find this highly impressive on all levels, and we are very appreciative for such a outstanding professional yet very humane staff Alice and many others at this particularly site, there is a Greenbelt site that we found to be the complete opposite in our experience if it were not for Donny and the Bowie site I personally would never have tried La fitness again.

I workout at the Bowie LA Fitness at least 4-5 times a week, and the facility is always clean and the staff is always courteous. The variety of equipment and space to workout meets my training needs. Donny has made noticeable changes and adjustments to make clients/customers feel appreciated and welcomed. It would be great if the hours were extended during the week and especially on the weekends. The current hours limit flexibility for evening workouts, and it is disappointing to have to go to another facility that doesn’t have the same atmosphere as the Bowie location. Lastly, the music could be better.

This is my favorite La Fitness! The locker room is always clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The equipment is much newer that other La Fitness locations that I’ve been to. Overall a great place to exercise.

A gym at a great location, easy parking and good stores near by. All this allows for a busy person to work out and grab a bite or coffee on their way out. Morning hours allow the early birds to keep their schedule perfect, but the management ended up cutting back the evening and weekend hours; resulting in the night owls suffering! Hope they get back those late evening and weekend hours to improve and match their peer gyms in the area. LA fitness Bowie, we are working folks with families and no gym in this area shuts down so early in the evenings! Besides this, the gym itself rocks!

My experience at this LA Fitness has been really good. The staff is great and very attentive. The manager Donnie is very cool and takes pride in making sure members like myself have what they need to be successful.

My family joined the gym in January with the GM Donnie . He was extremely helpful and friendly. He made us feel we were becoming a part of a family. Well that is exactly what has happened! Ive worked in gyms for years and over the last couple of years have been through five of them as members. LA fitness offered me the best price with which I can go to any LA fitness anywhere, a chance to bring all my friends, plus they have the sauna/pool/tub set-up. Cant beat this!Charles really hooked me up during sales, and the staff at this location are particularly friendly. Daynen, Deandra, Eli and Gina are particularly friendly and give the gym a home-field quality. Kathy is extremely attentive to detail with the cleaning and the whole crew keeps the facility looking great.

It is a nice location. One of the newer ones. The hours stuck. It closes too early never open on any holidays and no steam room. Other than that I like it. But Will have to get a membership at Planet fitness also if I can go during the bankers hours they keep.

Very effective fitness trainer. He helped me set my fitness goals that were reasonable to my age (I’m 49) and fitness level. I wanted to improve from 24% body fat to 16%. Three months in and I’m at 18%. The team has been friendly and almost family like. I love going to my gym in Bowie. Hoping the hours increase this spring while the daylight hours increase too.

I am a member at Gaithersburg LA club. I needed help with updating some information with my account and unfortunately my local gym would not help me and were very rude. So I called the corporate office and I was very upset. I was greeted by Ms. Elle who was a very good listener and very polite as she promised me to resolve my issue and she even got her manager Mr.Donnie to help me out. Every thing worked out fine. These people went out of their way to help me and make sure that I was taken care of. I wish this Gym was near my house. The staff is so friendly and kind. They really value their customer and make sure that they retain them. I really do not have enough words to praise them.

Gym is in excellent condition! Clean, friendly environment. and exceptionally managed by Donald Edwards. A gym with a top notch staff is hard to find! Id recommend this gym to any and everybody in the area.

LA Fitness is an extraordinary place to get a great workout and phenomenal customer service. I’ve been a member of this club since 2013 and I can confidently say that this is the best gym in Bowie. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and so are the members. The machines are fairly new and well maintained, and you can get any workout done from cardio to weight training to boxing. As other reviewers have mentioned, the only thing lacking are the hours that need to be extended ASAP. I am sure the friendly manager Don is working on it... Overall a great gym and I highly recommend :-)

Update:It took about a year, but corporate LA Fitness finally listened to its customers and management on increasing the hours. I wish they didnt wait until after I cancelled my membership! The extra hour each night helps accommodate working professionals. Its still the cleanest and most well organized gym in the area. Management said they are working on an additional increase in hours, so hopefully that comes through. Itd be nice to have weekend evening hours accommodated.Old Review:Although this is a nice location with an open layout, lots of machines and pretty clean, the hours do not accommodate working professionals. All of the other gyms in the area are either 24 hrs or open until midnight, and they cost less. I’m cancelling my membership because of the hours. Also, their free WiFi almost never works.

I’ve been a member for 3 years. Its the cleanest la fitness gym in the MD area. Also Donnie and his team are killing it. One thing I don’t like is hours. If the gym can close at 12 and open at 5, you will make me and others happier. Keep it up La fitness!

The water aerobics with Norma on Mondays and Tuesdays is off the hook! She will get you motivated to move in the water thats helps get you in shape without pain. Her music gets you in party/workout mood and you end up having fun while getting into shape.

Friendly and professional staff especially Ms. Cathy. She does a great job cleaning and always has a positive attitude. The rest of the staff is professional and the gym is kept clean and ready for use.

Beware of the personal training coordinator JIimmy Melli’s. His job is to sign people up for memberships, but he lies to do this. He promises perks & diet advice & meal plans. To this day I haven’t received any of what I was promised. If you go toThis gym don’t deal with Jimmy Merlot because he is an arrogant self absorbed jerk.

When I came in to LA Fitness back in August 2017, I had gained quite a bit of weight. I felt bad but the General Manager Donny Edwards was super pumped that I could meet my goals! He applauded me for taking the steps for working out. He helped a LOT and sold me a great membership not like other club sales people who will tell you anything to get your business. I appreciated that he showed me the CORRECT equipment to focus on but not just equipment, diet AND exercise. Its very apparent he cares about being healthy. When he sponsored customer Appreciate Day, he served HEALTHY SNACKS!

Been a member for more than three years. Out of all the locations I’ve been to, this is by far the cleanest and best managed location. Thanks to the new management for making this place awesome.

Well maintained, clean, and plenty of machines and weights to handle large crowds. The offer aerobics and spin classes, and have pool workouts available as well. Large, well lit locker rooms, sauna and clean showers in the locker room. A great value for the money.

Really clean. Hours are not too accommodating

There is a problem with sound System in the cycling room. Only one side or channel is working. Classes are super good but music is something very important. I believe is something that has to inspected regularly, someone from the gym or a corporate person than can work and solve easy problems like this one. I have 3 weeks assisting to classes and the problem still there. Really annoying to listen to music in one channel only.
