Coles shop is fast and thorough. I have a tall van and they willing to do some work under the van when it can’t be out all the way up on the lift. The mechanic Changed the engine oil and differential fluid. Was in and out in an hour. Cole is a nice guy too, funny and personable. His mechanics work hard too.

This was my first time working with Cole’s (my sisters have used him many times before). Cole was personable and friendly, honest, and easy to work with. Brandon was my contact person while my suburban was being fixed. Brandon kept in close contact with me, letting me know what was needed, pricing, and the projected timeline for repairs to happen. He was easy to work with and respectful of our time. I liked how they sent out a report of the repairs that was needed with pricing, pictures of what why certain things needed to be replaced, pictures of the fluids and the color they should be when not needing to be replaced. Everything was spelled out nicely, letting me know why repairs were needed. The team was efficient with their time and the work they completed. I enjoyed sending my suburban to Cole’s and will use them again in the future!

I had a great experience at Cole’s! The communication was timely and thorough... they sent a written proposal outlining everything that needed to be done and in addition Brandon spent about 30 minutes on the phone talking me through it all and answering my zillion questions. They pretty much rebuilt my 08 Ford F-350 and even sent pictures during the process. I felt like I was working with friends! Their shop is very orderly, clean, and professional. One of the best parts is the 3-year warranty on their work! (Not sure if that applies to all work they do)? My truck is running SO much better than before and I will be taking all repairs there!

Im always apprehensive about auto repair. Who can you trust to fix your car and not get ripped-off? So when our 2005 Honda Accord started loosing power on the freeway the other day I panicked.Fortunately, a local oil change business recommended Coles Auto Repair. We took our car to the shop and they did a complete diagnostic analysis which produced a long list of issues. The staff did a great job explaining everything and were very clear about differentiating between what urgently needs attention and what is more preventative maintenance. I really appreciated their transparency and honesty.We were hesitant to pull the trigger on every repair they suggested because it was a little more than we had originally budgeted for. But in the end we opted to have them do everything on the list because we had confidence our car would give us another 150K miles after making all the suggested adjustments.They were very prompt about making the repairs and our car came back as good as new. Its only been a few days, so I cant say how this will play out over the long term, but Ive been impressed so far. Only time will tell. But they provide a pretty good warranty on their work, so I assume if anything happens in the next few months, theyll take care of it.Overall, I was very impressed with their professionalism, communication, and work. Id definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new mechanic.

The communication was great while they had my car!! I LOVE that they have the app like delivery places to let you know exactly what is going on with your vehicle. They were very thorough with diagnosing my issue. I was told how to get my car out of limp mode so I can take it back if the issue comes back. I have found my new mechanic.

Coles rescued my familys road trip back home from Moab to WA State. My rig started to break down just before exit 317 on the highway on I-15 and I pulled off to the closest gas station by the exit, a Chevron. I was .2 miles away from Coles at a gas station looking for a place to check out my rig. I did a quick Google search, saw some reviews of them and I called and let them know what I was experiencing and Brandon said that they could look at it AND let me use a loaner car while they checked things out. I drove to Cole’s and my rig totally gave out RIGHT as we drove into the parking lot in front. Brandon gave me keys for a loaner and my family and I drove around town and grabbed some lunch. I shortly got a call from Brandon and he let me know what had been found, what was necessary to fix it and the cost involved. Sounded very reasonable and very fair. After about 2 hours my rig was ready and we were back on the road. We enjoyed our afternoon in town and were happy for the work that was done and the customer service. Coles saved our road trip back home and made it a great trip!

I can not begin to tell you all of the horror stories I have experienced, BEFORE I started bringing my vehicles to Coles. I realized (the hard way) that my mechanic is one of the most important people in my life, because he repairs the vehicles that my family and I drive every day! Took my F150 to Coles to have a noise investigated. Turned out to be a lot fo serious engine problems (exhaust manifolds, timing cover, etc.). I have a 3rd party warranty that should cover most of it, but they have been a pain to deal with. Brandon has been awesome at working with the warranty company to get them the information they need to process the claim. The shop has been awesome about communicating the process of the repairs, resolving any concerns I have. Once I got the truck back, I had another issue pop up and they were able to fit me in the same day to get it fixed. Before these repairs, I had never used Coles (found them online with positive reviews), they will now be my go-to mechanic. Very trustworthy.

Coles Auto Repair is hands-down one of the best shops in bountiful. If you want to be a customer when you walk in for service vs another invoice number in an attempt to hit monthly quota, Coles is the place. They are about as thorough as one could ask for and they will tell you everything that is wrong with you car down to burnt out light bulbs. I have never had to come back after a repair because they have always been done right with quality parts. The number 1 thing about Coles is the honesty. If it isnt broke, they wont fix it or more importantly, CHARGE YOU to fix something that isnt broken.

Everything went well. I believe they are telling me the truth about maintenance. Example: I asked about front brakes noise. They checked the brakes and told me the pads do not need to be changed this time. Well check again at the next oil change.

Do not ever do business with Toyota Bountiful. My wife and I learned this the hard way this year. We have a hybrid which warned us of the hybrid system failing. We took it in to have it looked at and while wasting two weeks with them saying that they didn’t have the tool to diagnose the problem. They came back with the engine torn apart without my permission and the mechanic saying that the transmission needed to be replaced. I took it to another mechanic to get another opinion and while it was being towed the mechanic was getting upset and unprofessional. We took the vehicle to Coles and after he put the engine back together the vehicle started up with no problems. Unfortunately when Toyota Bountiful tore the engine apart they emptied the transmission fluid and while driving it without transmission fluid it blew the transmission. We have been very happy with Coles after replacing the transmission. It is very hard to find a mechanic you can trust and Coles will now be our go to mechanic. Toyota Bountiful are crooks and I will never do business with them or their affiliates.

I own a 2007 Pontiac Vibe. One front headlight was damaged and one of the fog lights was broken. I ordered new headlights and fog lights and took my car to Coles to have them replaced. They look great!

Coles is amazing! Had my minivan repaired here twice, both times the dealership told me I would need a transmission replacement and Coles was able to repair it for me for a quarter the price. The are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable! I wish I didnt live so far away, or they would be where I got regular maintenance done too!

I had my vehicle looked at by another shop and they said I needed all this work done. I replaced my brakes and they could have been done but not the rotors. I didn’t trust the opinion. I had heard about Coles so I took it there. Brandon was great to work with and they gave me a second opinion. Turns out the leak was from something totally different. They fixed that. I then had battery problems and they helped me with that. Then the power steering pump went out that they just replaced but it was covered under their warranty. This is a great shop.

Best car repair place Ive been to since moving to Utah. The staff at the front desk were a pleasure to talk to and they are very reasonably priced. Only problem I have is they are open during my work hours and not on Saturday or I would be here more often. I have had the same exact repair done on three different vehicles at three different locations and this place matched the price and satisfaction of the family friend I no longer live around. They were great and very helpful! Took my car in late Monday afternoon and the starter and drive belt were completely replaced and good to go by Wednesday morning. I dont know of many shops that will warranty their work for as long as Coles either! Definitely going to take all my cars there going forward. Doesnt hurt that is close by either.

I met Cole as a friend of a friend so when it was time to do a major maintenance on my car I figured I would give him my business. I was blown away by the actual service.After giving them the long list of things I wanted done they gave the car a full inspection before starting any service. They emailed me a breakdown of everything that needed to be done with pictures and explanations on why.After the work began they didnt quite have it finished by the end of the day as they had estimated. I wasnt surprised considering they were changing the timing belt, flushing all fluids, doing a tune up, plus some other stuff. It was a ton of work. They ended up staying late and extra hour and a half to finish the car that night. Sadly, I was unable to pick it up that late and had to wait until the next day anyway.The cost is right in line with what I expected. But I dont want cheap, if its cheap theyre taking shortcuts or trying to scam you. I also dont want to pay a premium. I think Coles has hit the right balance.Im very impressed with the overall service and will be going back.

I stumbled upon Coles Auto Repair merely by accident almost 4 years ago and Ive never gone to anyone else since. I have recommended him every family member who lives close by and any friend that is need of car help. I have never felt comfortable with a mechanic before Cole (especially because Im a girl- sometimes mechanics view us as suckers). And it really is hard to find someone that is trustworthy and wont take advantage of you or upsell repairs that are needed. Cole has NEVER pressured us into fixing anything and really understands that sometimes, money is tight and that the repairs that should be made, cant always be made right away. I love that he guarantees his work- there has been a few instances where a faulty part wares quickly and he has replaced them without cost or question when in the time of his warranty! Its been great to watch his business grow throughout the years! And even with the growth, he still takes the time to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. He even takes the time to really explain what the issues are!I could go on forever... But the point is that my family will be customers for life with Coles Auto Repair. Service was very fast and he was more than professional to work with.Cole tried to let me go home for free because I needed an air filter and an alignment but I made him take some extra money for his services. I was recommended by a former mechanic of coles to take my car to this place. I was excited cause he talked about the great work that they do, the problem was i never got to see that happen due to my car just parked there for three days not getting worked on. I called them and was told that they are getting ready to pull it in to get worked on when in reality it was just getting left there and forgot about. I ended up going to get my car to just take it to the dealership which they proceeded to get my car in and fixed and out with in three hours. This has taught my to always take my car to the dealership to get fixed, yeah it might be more but at least I know I’ll get my car back.

09232020New car, same great Service. Needed the 60K service done on my Nissan. The dealer wanted $900+ for it. Same things done for less than $500. Found out Coles also sells new tires now and plan to check that out next. At the risk of him getting busier, I still highly trust the quality of his work and his fairness.Coles Automotive has been our mechanic for several years now. His team has excellent talent and they are prompt with repairs. He is typically close with his estimates and I trust him to not do unnecessary things. Integrity is important to us, and Cole and his team have it.

Brought in my Honda Pilot because my normal shop couldnt figure out why the Emissions Light was on. It took nearly 8 hours for these guys to find the problem as it was apparently pretty rare. But they only charged me for the faulty piece and just the labor to replace it--not the entire duration. Very fair. Vehicle works perfectly again! Will definitely return (assuming I ever have need of a mechanic again in my life).

My minivan was broken, then I barely managed to tow it over to Coles on a Thursday afternoon. I got a call with the price estimate a couple hours later and said I understood it might take until next week because of ordering parts or whatever. Somewhat less than 24 hours later Vee called to tell me it was ready and apologized that it took so long to replace a head gasket and alternator. Now my minivan isnt broken and Im happy. It felt like everyone at Coles were happy I came instead of bothered. The whole experience was like a friend helped me out of a jam instead of a fight.

No matter what happens with either my past trucks or current truck and cars they are always there to help out and get the work done right the first time around. Not once have Id ever have to go back and say you forgot this or that, everyone that works there is kind and respectable to no matter who comes through the door. Once I found them Ive never gone anywhere else. And if I start my own work on something and either cant finish or got stumped figuring something out they pick up right were I left off and get it done. I highly recommend them to anyone and their not afraid to work on any type of vehicle from gasoline to diesel they do it all.

If I could, I would give Coles more stars! They are amazing! Ive always taken my cars to him before buying and hes kept me from buying some pretty bad cars. I recently had my car in for an issue with the steering wheel and Cole not only fixed it, but made sure I didnt spend more than was necessary. The car dealership wanted almost twice what I was qouted by Cole. Then, when the issue wasnt completely fixed the first time,(which was not their fault), they figured out what it was and fixed it, provided a loaner car for me the entire time my car was with them so I would still be able to get around, put up with me bugging them about when it was going to be finished and made sure everything was completely safe for me. I will never not take my car to Coles. I HIGHLY recommend them!Thanks for all you do for your customers!

He is the most honest and best mechanic around. He will trouble shoot your vehicle and then tell you which things need immediate attention and which ones you can put off until later depending on the needs and use of your car.When Im looking for a used car I always bring it to him for a quick check. He lets me know if its a good deal or if I should stay away.Ive recommended him to numerous friends and co workers and they have all stayed with him too. Its awesome to have a go to mechanic that you can trust!

I have known Cole for nearly 20 years. Hes honest, fair, and very competent. I know that hell get the job done right. Hes the only mechanic in the greater Salt Lake area that Ill recommend.

Cole and his staff continually go the extra mile whenever we need work done. I had new tires put on my wifes car today and Cole stayed after hours to complete her car. I highly recommend them to anyone that may need vehicle repairs done!Almost a year after my prior review I took my wifes new car in for new tires. We wanted an all terrain tire that was hard to find in the size we needed, but Cole was able to find them and install them while we waited. I will always take my vehicles to Coles Automotive and Repair for any work that needs to be done. This is definitely a company that values its customers and will always do what they can to give a fair price for exceptional service!

I found Coles through online reviews and recommend this shop. The current service included preventive maintenance that revealed pending repairs in line with the age and mileage of the vehicle. I appreciate the heads-up on those so I have time to schedule the repairs. Cole also gave me a tutorial about brake pads and also fixed a loose bumper cover (yay!). These folks do good work.

Cole, Vii, and team are great! One of the top shops in Utah. I am proud to have them as a BlueStar certified inspection station. They are honest and knowledgeable! I highly recommend them to anyone.
