The gym itself is decent and the staff are nice. However, considering its called 24 hour fitness, it would be nice if was open earlier than 5 am. In addition, the lack of wifi is not ideal.
What kind of sleaze ball establishment has the BALLS to call itself 24 Hour Fitness and is only open for 16.5 hours per day? This is downright ridiculous and insulting to those of us who are ACTUALLY nocturnal.
Thanks to most people for properly wearing masks, but, Im sorry to say that several people I saw today, had clear shields- no masks. Some others were not covering their noses with their masks. Doesnt make me feel safe.
Great gym not one of those fancy meat markets, come here to workout and feel great.
Nice gym! New gym floor for basketball only draw back is they remain the only gym not open 24 hours yet. Poorly managed but kinda clean. If the name of your business is 24 hour fitness maybe you should follow suit!
This place closes at 9pm while all other 24 hour fitness facilities close at 11pm, water fountains need to be fixed: water is not cold, besides that the GYM is 4 stars.
Small fitness center, only two pool lanes, small hottub. Shared sauna and steam room. Nice that there was a swim suit spinner, so your swim suit isnt soaking your gym bag on the way out. Showers look nice, shower head showers are not comfortable, too high pressured. Big locker room, more spacey than equipment room. First time at this location and staff was friendly.
Gym is fine never had any issues. Things are clean and has all the equipment I could want. Not sure what everyone is expecting from a 24 hour fitness..it isnt a boutique gym.
The worst staff, the Male manager whoever i had the displeasure of talking with was straight up rude and non professional. Talking to other employees about my situation openly in front of other customers too. 24hr has gone down hill dramatically since Covid.
The gym is fine. I go pretty often but the last two times I’ve gone, there was a creepy guy working the front desk that has tried flirting with me making me extremely uncomfortable. He asked if he could “join me in my workout” and asked if I was going to go home later and smoke weed. What kind of customer service is that? I haven’t been in a week or so because of how uncomfortable he made me feel. Please work on training your employees better. The people working should never make the paying customers uncomfortable.
Super friendly staff and considerate members that follow Covid policies and regularly clean their own equipment. There’s a good variety of equipment and the value is better than anywhere else in boulder. Was really surprised to see so many negative reviews about this place.
Signed up for the 3 day pass because Im in town for work. I was told, by the guy at the desk, that since I wasnt a resident I had to pay $15 for a DAY pass. Lol. Also they close at 9:30pm, even though theyre a 24 hour gym. This place is a joke and I wont ever return to any of their establishments.
So far so good
3 day pass is only for residents, waste of time.
A bit pricey but the place is always clean and I cant complain about the showers and sauna.
Very good place to go and just be free to workout swim and enjoy your time.
Not crowded at all in the early morning.
Fun and inviting. Great way to relaxed after a 10 hr shift. Cant beat service and quality of equipment. Not to mention the price per month is mad descent. Shell worth the movement. Plus its really 24 hrs, so you take a swim at 2 in the morning.
Perhaps the name should be changed to 16 Hour Fitness?
The best staff and equipment you could ask for with convenience of your work schedule.
The basketballs are all lopsided and Ive said something everytime Ive been here for the last couple weeks and all the staff does is apologize. I just want a decent basketball, not an apology, lol. Equipment is ALWAYS broken. Check out my picture of the fly machine and the terribly dangerous weld job. This can definitely hurt someone by being uneven when force is applied, this has been like this for about 1.5 years. The cable machine often offer different resistance because of lubing issues. The guy at the front counter jokes with me about picking stuff out thats broken. Thats how many times weve talked, its bad. If there was another gym for $35/month they would go out of business quickly.
Been a member for years.. always upgrading and improving!
I find the staff very friendly. They are working hard to keep the gym clean. They were not pushy about joining, most people know what they want in a gym.
Overall all a great gym. But lets be clear this is a gym. A busy gym. Is every peice of equipment brand new, no, but it is all very well maintained. Are the bathrooms antiseptic operating theater clean, no, but they are obviously cleaned several times a day. Are all the staff friendly and engaging, yes, Ive never had a single one be rude to me. Full discourse though I do my best to treat them like human beings.
Its a good gym.... Its good to be back after Covid 19
This review is for Nikita and Tyler and very awesome staff that are always so personable! (Some names i dont remember but they make the gym a great place)
Let me share with my experienced guys with 24 Hour Fitness guys. Its been two months since Im doing my exercise here. And now my body has really big improvement. Thank you.
Do not get a membership at this gym. They are manipulative and their customer service is absolutely horrible. The facility is average but it is heavily overshadowed by their hidden fees and fine print in their contracts. Their guest policy is a shallow attempt to grab more cash from your pocket and they are entirely unresponsive to complaints and criticism. The only good thing about this place is the members. They are all courteous and kind. The lower level staff is great but clearly upper management doesnt care enough to make a change. Would rate them 0 stars if I could. If you are looking to be bled dry by a heartless, less-than-average gym with management about as responsive as a large rock, this is the place for you!If you want anything else, DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE. Oh, and why, you may ask, do I have a membership here? Welp, that is because they straight up lied to me about the contract! If I want to cancel now, I will need to pay more than I am paying for college this semester. Amazing work 24 hour! I can tell you really value your members!
This gym has some of the most knowledgeable and patient coaches I have ever encountered. Beautiful gym with wonderful people in it!!!!
Great energy, very friendly staff. The gym portion is very well maintained. The locker room could use a little attention. But over all good gym.
Have been a member for several years now. I am finding it is a significant challenge to setup personal training sessions. Lots of messages, not much follow up. This caught me off guard as most personal trainers are pushing for business, sometimes to a fault. I am remaining optimistic that the sessions are worth the effort to get them setup and that follow on sessions require much less effort. The facilities are consistent with the fees (no complaints). Gym is usually not too busy later in the evening when I workout.Update: Just spoke with Stephanie. This is the second time Ive worked with her and she seems to be responsive and on top of things. My advice, ask for Stephanie to start with!
They closed it without giving notice, the app doesn’t even show it’s closed. Couldn’t they have sent an e-mail or something? Not even sure we know how long it’s closed for? Terrible service
This location has an excellent teacher “ Karina” she teaches Zumba toning and Zumba .Karina provides a lot of energy in each class. She is an excellent teacher who always gives you a smile, her classes have energy, she has a lot of creativity in each class and professionalism.I recommend Karina’s classes to exercise your body efficiently in addition to having fun while you exercise, I think its the best.
A great atmosphere to be in. Love all the different people. Recently put in new lights so you can actually see what youre doing. Staff is awesome. Trained several times with Molly and saw some legit weight loss. Love this gym.
Given todays coronavirus circumstances, the Boulder club is doing a great job. The online reservation system for workout time slots seems to work well.
Team is very friendly. Variety of machines, spacious and very affordable. I love going there more often. Sauna and hot tubs are great! pool is a little small and sometimes cold. Highly recommended.
So I originally had this location at 2 stars but now i have to go down to 1. Decent gym but the locker rooms are disgusting just like all the other 24 hour fitness gyms. Today I walked in to take a shower and the drain was clogging because there was so much hair and gunk in the drain, and these are very large drains. The shower across has been broken for at least 2 months. Theres been a locker broken for at least a month as well. How long does it take to put a door back on? I got ringworm here about 6 months ago. Overall the cleanliness of all 24 hour fitness locations is terrible. When I first came to this location in August the pool and spa area was really nice and clean. I think it had just been remodelled. But they have really let everything go down the drain. The steam room doesnt look like its ever been thoroughly cleaned and its usually broken. This gym smells like a dirty wrestling room and apparently has the cleanliness of one as I got ringworm here.I understand 24 is a cheaper gym but come on guys clean this place up!!
Where are you people working out? Are you sure were talking about the same place?! 24 Hour Fitness on Iris? Ive been to countless clubs, all over the country. This has got to be one of the cleanest most well managed clubs Ive ever visited. They have two employees perpetually circling the club with all manner of cleaning equipment; they have what they call an all-staff, deep clean practically on the hour. The place sparkles! Sure, some of the equipment is dated which is why I gave the place four instead of five stars, but the employees are friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Plus, the place has a steam room!
Thank you for making much needed updates and keeping this club clean in recent time.
Ignore the negative reviews. The staff are friendly, the mens locker room is clean (certainly doesnt smell like urine), broken equipment is usually fixed quickly, and my experience with the people selling personal training is that they are not pushy. For the price, you cant beat it. I go at various times and days and have never waited for a squat rack, pull-up bar, dip station, kettle bell or dumbbells. It appears as though if you are waiting for a specific machine, wait your turn. Good grief, someone else also has to wait for your 4 sets of 8 with 90 second rest periods. Ask to cut in or do something else until its free.I cant comment on the sauna because I would never go in a public sauna anyways.Any 24 hour gym locker room with showers is going to have naked old men. It is admittedly disgusting, but you dont have to look. Be thankful that they are there trying to stay healthy, as it benefits everyones health insurance costs.Im glad I ignored the negative reviews. For $50 a month I workout whenever I want, doing whatever I want and get a free shower. If you want more than that, go somewhere else.
This place is dissapointing and gross. Im surprised that it hasnt been updated being in boulder and competing with nicer, cleaner, more modern gyms/ fitness centers/ boutique workout facilities.
I searched all around Boulder for a gym that could accommodate all of my needs and this was the only one that could do that but at a reasonable price. I can lift, use chalk, have plenty of room to stretch, use the sauna, and never have to wait for equipment. This place is a solid overall gym. Its just a bit too big for my liking.
Busiest times are 9am, 12pm, and between 430pm-9pm. Its a gym. Some lookers and some wookers. Equipment is fairly well maintained. Hot tub sauna ans pool are pretty clean and friendly. Employees are young sometimes unobservant to a customers needs. A few very good personal trainers.
The location itself isnt completely terrible. There are a lot of cardio machines, lots of lifting areas, and a big gym and studio. However, the free weight space is very small and crowded, and much of the time the gym has private classes going on, so that space cant even be used by anyone else. This location is a Super Gym, so you have to pay $10 more than any of the other locations, just to have a hot tub, sauna and steam-room, which are all disgusting. I have gotten a rash from the hot tub here and it has bleached my swimming suit because the chemicals are off. The steam room and sauna have also been out of service about 50% of the time I try to use them. Also, if you are looking for a gym that is personal and easy to communicate with, do not choose 24 Hour Fitness. The Customer Service is horrible!!!! I have spent 40 min on the phone with them multiple times to fix billing mistakes, and we end up getting nowhere. Cancelling my membership to join the Boulder Rec Centers.
This place is very dirty. The whole vibe is just whack. The only difference between this place and a crack house is that a crack house has better preworkout. Equipment is decent though.
Ive been a member here for about two years and am very pleased with the staff and all the amenities. Today however; has superseded my like for this gym. As I was in a class I began to feel like I was going to pass out. I was heading for the locker room to sit down but only made it to the front counter. There an employee, Joey, was there to save the day! I said I felt like I was going to pass out and he helped throughout the ordeal, even giving me something to eat. Kudos! I felt very secure today in a awesome gym! Thanks to Joey!
Worst gym in the universe. Desperate salesperson desperate gym, they only care about how thing money. I canceled the membership since I was out of town, they still charged me money. I asked them to stop they said come to store, how do I come to the damn store when I’m freaking out of town. I had to change a credit card to avoid charging. The salesperson made a deal with 60 dollars a month, a person later told me the cost was 90 and I had to pay. Thus the salesperson charged me less just to close the sale, even though it was 90. They would lie to get money. The only good thing is they are 24 hours, well duh, that’s their name, they will be blatant liars if it wasn’t 24 hours. Sale people aren’t here around, there is always salesperson with new faces. All leave after they cheat in desperation. I invited a friend to this place and they asked my friend and pushed him for a member. Avoid at all costs.
Super sport? I bet they charge extra being a super sport but in actuality its still the same gym with a bigger price and a slightly more pompous name. Easy to get signed up for this gym, go through hell to cancel your membership, a year goes by and they say you owe them $400 even though the one guy told you your membership was haulted. Lame! Please take care of your body and health more than your looks and pseudo fitness. Stay active.
I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for over 10 years. I have the all sport club pass. Recently they upgraded this club to a Super sport which would be fine if there was a sport club a reasonable distance away. Unfortunately the closest club is 16 miles away and a 25 minute drive. 24 hour fitness is doing a huge dis-service to all the long time members who have moved to Boulder and didnt set up their original accounts there. Members like myself who signed up with good lifetime deals are slowly being squeezed out of their clubs with these upgrades to disqualify them.
This 24 hour fitness has the worst sauna in the whole Denver/Boulder metro area. The temperature is never hot ( warm temperature ). Maybe they dont want customers to know the not-hot temperature in the sauna, this is the only 24 hour fitness with sauna service in the USA without temperature meter to show the sauna temperature to customers. ( As far as I know, at least 6 states with 24 hour fitness that I had stayed.)
Best value in Boulder area. Large facility with a wide variety of workout equipment including indoor basketball court, sauna and lap pool. Staff is friendly and professional and the prices are among the lowest in the area. I was NOT going to even consider this gym due to the negative reviews on Google, but Im glad I went there. Not sure why all the negative reviews? Yes, its not the newest gym and its in a strip mall with some empty stores, but if you want to work out and not pay a lot of money, this is a very good value.
Lots of equipment to use, so you usually dont have to share anything. The fitness classes are fun. Though the pool had a lot of chlorine and the locker room could have a better layout.
Been going here since 2011. Best facility around with the most friendly staff. In the mornings, the crowd is well balanced from novice to experts. Highly recommend this gym if you are just starting out.
Ive been enjoying access to this gym for almost a year. I try to go when its not busy. I agree that the managers are very salesy but have only had to encounter them a few times when I invite friends for recommendation. I encourage them to simply focus on supporting peoples fitness goals when they first walk in rather than trying to upsell as much as possible. As you can tell from your reviews, this doesnt make people feel good.
Place is a dump. Worn down machines. Many things are broken. Mens locker room is down right scary (broken lockers, mold, water dripping from the ceiling, torn shower curtains, theres never soap, the bathroom stinks and is filthy). The jets in the hot tub havent worked in... I dont even know if theyve EVER worked. Stuff like that... I will NOT let my bare feet touch the floor
Twice as expensive as everywhere else, but half the amenities. It’s pathetic. They won’t even provide towels although they have a sauna, hot tub and lap pool. I already pay $25 more a month than everyone, why should I now have to buy a $20 towel that is tiny and not soft?Very disappointed in this company and will be changing gyms soon.
Im sorry, but the locker room is really not too clean!I like the price, its just right. But instead of showering at 24 Hour i usually just go home instead and do it there. I guess I cant complain too much becaus3e of the price, but also maybe i should! Just go there and exercise and you will be happy but not if you want a very fancy time.
Despite the negativity I see in these reviews I found that this gym is a great facility. The locker rooms are clean when I go in, the people at the desk always greet you and acknowledge you as you walk out the door. I have not had anything forced on me, even when I asked about a supplement. The only thing that annoys me is how busy it gets but that is easily remedied by going at a time in which it isnt busy. Oh and the idiots who spend so much time in the squat rack that they should pay rent.
Been going here for years and it’s by far the best gym in boulder without breaking the bank. This location has everything you could possibly need no matter what type of workout you are looking for.
Joined for the BODYPUMP classes and have enjoyed it ever since. Steve, Melissa, and Lauren are great instructors!
Very big gym. As clean as popular gyms come. Great basketball court and locker rooms on top of a big selection of weight lifting equipment and running/ biking machings
I am still getting charged even when 24 hour fitness is closed. Cant cancel or get a refund.
Okay gym facilities. Very crowded. Often need to wait for machines. Staff is nice but they sell memberships like used car salesmen. Hidden fees and annual fees that they will not budge on. Just a warning. You cant cancel memberships with them in their facility. You must call a phone number that is not open 24hrs and often has a 20-30min hold time. Ive been trying to cancel my membership for a month because I moved and had no luck until I was charged an unnecessary $180.
Descent equipment but could be better maintained. Pool, hot tub and steam room are nice. Steamroom seems to be out of order about half the time. Not a high end club, but not a high end price either. Itll get the job done and open 24 hours is really convenient.
Friendly members and staff. Great environment with everything I could ever want to use. I am never board with my workouts at this gym. Clean, fun and a positive place to go.
Cool and nice place to get a workout in. Mens restroom always smells like urine. Seems like the mens facilities are never cleaned. My wife says the womens facilities are nicer here then our main 24 though. Go figure.
Its a really good gym, considering the price and its 24/7 plus you get a pool, hot tub and a sauna. The stair steppers are nice, wish they had a rock wall in the basketball court.
This location is one of my favorite but the staff needs to enforce their policies. Lately an obnoxious lifter has been dropping heavy weights and grunting so loud you can hear him across gym with head phones in. It is clearly stated everywhere not to drop weights but it is not enforced.
Decent enough location. Typically busy, as would be expected, given the university and nature of Boulder. Hate it when people camp out on the machines as if their membership purchased the machine and it belongs to them indefinitely, but not a dealbreaker for the place. Go late at night, and itll be empty enough to find pretty much whatever machine you want. Clean enough, for a gym - not the cleanest Ive been at of their locations, but again, may be attributed to the busy nature of it.
Pretty ghetto little area to be honest with you... but also one of the better places to sleep in your car overnight at the same time, hahaha. Id say this one of the less monitered parking lots by police officers also.
The people complaining about things like the number of hooks in your locker or benches in the locker rooms need to remember where they are at. Its practically unheard of in Boulder to be able to join a gym for only ~$30/month. Youre kind of getting what you pay for: just the bare bones basics. On that note, Ive been very happy with 24hr the last six months - friendly staff, all the equipment you could need, and a surprisingly high quality of group fitness classes. took one star off because I do agree the showers could be cleaner - thats an easy thing that staff could take care of better. The people who are knocking 3 stars off their ratings because this place doesnt have all the bells and whistles need to shop around and be reminded that memberships are $80+ at the places their comparing 24hr fitness to.
The best personal trainers around! Great Pilates Class on Sundays. Ive been using this gym for the past two years, 3 - 4 times a week always get a good work-out.
Even during busy hours the wait times for certain machines are short. There is a small lap pool, saunas, stretching areas, and all kinds of machines. I wish they would bring in some better ab machines but beside that I think this is a great gym. The staff are helpful and the bathrooms are always clean.
Awful customer service and worst place to work out in the US. You’re better off at home or in your bathroom. Dirty, dingy, rusty machines and equipment. Don’t waste your $ like I did. Wished I never signed up. I am waiting by the second to finish my membership and go anywhere else.
This is a great gym. Good variety of new equipment that is almost never down for repairs, clean, super friendly and positive staff, and affordable. I really dont understand the negative comments. Thanks to the 24-hr team!
Filthy place. Always stinks. Kept getting infections and foot rot. They are also thieves. I cancelled my membership and they continued to charge for months. They refuse to refund what they took from me. DO NOT JOIN, youll regret it.
Amazing gym, friendly staff and its awesome just to be able to kick back in the pool after a hard day and just swim it out! Recommend highly for travelers looking to get the exercise with a shower after to complete your day
Went to try out their 3-day free trial. A manger came over and interrupted while i was talking to a sales rep and was offended that I wasnt signing up on the spot, was very pushy and unprofessional. The gym looked pretty good and their pricing was decent, but, because of this particular manager, I will never go back.
Look, Im happy with this gym. Its fairly clean and the staff is great, but its pretty frustrating to see a piece of equipment (the calf raise machine) be broken for a few weeks now.Update: Two weeks later, its still brokenI will gladly raise my rating when it gets fixed.
It is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. They have a descent amount of equipment but it not always maintained well. The TVs in front of the cardio machines are nice, but many are on the same channel. I love the eucalyptus steam room and the hot tub, when they are working... Over all it isnt bad for the price, but if you have the money it might be worth it to upgrade elsewhere. Boulder has a lot of clubs to choose from.
Charged my account random fees. Ive only been a member for 1 1/2 months now and Ive been charged a total of $200. They just want to take your money. Highly dont recommend any 24hr fitness!!!
I wish the staff enforced the rules about photos in the locker room, shoes in the sauna etc., but other than that, its got good classes and good people
Check you billing statement.....6 months after discontinuing with corporate even they still each month continue to try to bill my card. watch out!!!!!Ive been trying to discontinue my sons membership now for 6 months. I call, and they give me the corporate number. 24 hour fitness....easy to join.....just cant leave!!!!!!!
All the negative reviewers are really sensitive or something cause I just worked out here and it was great. nice people, nice equipment, nice locker rooms.
I wasnt satisfied with my membership here and decided I wanted to cancel. When I called to do so, I find out that I need to go to the gym and talk with a manager in order to cancel. This pretty much sums up the high pressure sales tactics and frustration of dealing with this gym. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
Really like this gym. I am indecisive when it comes to choosing a work out. This gym has the right amount of machines to choose from without wasting too much time walking around.
Best gym in Boulder area for the money. Could be cleaner, but not complaining because it is great for the price point.
Horrible management, staff threatened me physically for a situation they made worse where I was doing nothing but minding my own business and was accosted, harassed, and threatened by another member. 100% absolute incompetence by everyone who dealt with this situation where all I wanted was to work out in peace, and had been working out in peace prior to being harassed by another member over something as petty as what is on the television in front of the treadmills. If you have an issue there with another member threatening you, dont talk to staff, just call the cops, because staff will do nothing but lie, cheat, and then rob you of membership fees. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE TO WORK OUT. Seriously - leave the area if you want a gym, because this place is dangerous (on top of being poorly maintained and highly unsanitary).
I have been there for 3 months. The shower curtains have had masses of red mold mildew on them the entire time. No one cleans....They should be ashamed of these conditions...Where in the hell is the manager?i just tried to file a cleanliness complaint to 24 hr - corporate...but, strangely, couldnt get through the email panel...the security capture code would not be accepted...no matter what I tried. I was in thecomputer biz for years by the way, so I dont think its me.24hr Fitness does NOT want to be contacted concerning the unclean conditions. Pretty amazing. All a manager has to do is walk back there.
While 24 is by no means a fancy gym, its everything you need - a ton of cardio equipment, a decent number of classes, and somewhere to swim and shower. I had a fabulous trainer there for a while whom I loved - the only not-great thing is that they dont treat their staff very well, but in general the gym gives you everything you require as long as its not a super cushy atmosphere that youre looking for!
Management is trash they don’t know how to help you with basic issues that occur because of the system. Also didn’t support my denver student ID because I was in the Boulder location 1/10 recommend, only perk is 24 hours.
It could be cleaner, lets just say that. The staff is friendly, but not entirely aware of what their own gym includes. I called to ask if they had Concept 2 row machines. They said no. I went in later that same day—they have three!
Ive been to about 7 or 8 different 24 hour fitness locations in Colorado. I have been a member on and off for the past 15 years and this particular location was probably the worst Ive seen. I wouldnt say its terrible, but a bit dingy is an accurate way to describe it. It does not look or smell as clean & nice as the others Ive been to and seems outdated. The layout is very linear...not set up to look asthetically pleasing at all, which is fine for functionality, but if youre also wanting a gym that is pleasant to be at, this isnt it.I live in Erie now and the Broomfield location is the same distance for me as this Boulder location, so Ill be sticking to Broomfield. This one is supposedly a Super Sport. Thats the strangest thing and the reason I wanted to give a review. Ive been to the Super Sport down in Highlands Ranch. That gym absolutely blows this one away. It is much nicer and has towel service, etc. No comparison. Id of given this review 3 stars if it werent claiming to be a Super Sport.
It is not Lifetime Fitness, or is the price. That said, it is a good place to get a workout in, sauna and shower. The people at the front desk are really friendly. There was a problem getting things fixed some time ago, but that is not the case anymore. To me, it is not a SuperSport...based on my travels and going to other 24 hour fitness gyms. I use the video spinning classes as that fits my schedule best. They are good. The overall gym works well for me. You get to know the regulars which makes it nice. I have never had a problem asking someone to help spot me when lifting heavier weights. My only complaint is the spinning bikes. They are about 3 generations down level and most should not be used. There was talk multiple times about getting replacements, but that tends to fad away after the talk. I plan on continuing here.Nov 3 2018 Update. The bikes are still in need of replacement with no hope of ever being replaced. They upgraded the pedals. Oh joy. I lowered my rating due to the facility. The digital experience video classes has been broken for months. I really like the cycling courses on that video. Funny, they still offer the Digital Experience cycling course...which cant happen as the unit is down. Cleaning and general upkeep has gone down hill. Not uncommon to find the paper towel dispensers in the gym empty, so people dont wipe down equipment. I went to stretch in the basketball gym, since it was empty. I had to whisk away all the fist sized dust bunnies. The locker room floor is not kept up like it used to. The showers were redone, but todays experience was disgusting. Soap scum on the walls, hair balls on the floor and only one soap dispenser had a little bit of soap. Frustrating. Oh, I do point out issues to the front desk, who usually dont write anything down.March 2019 UpdateOK, they finally replaced the old bikes and fixed more of the other items that were broken. The cleaning seems to be more consistent and there is a manager (Rob) who goes around and makes sure things are working right as well as chats with customers. The other thing that has improved is that when you tell the front desk about something that does not work, they actually write it down now. New budget and change of leaders makes a different. I will bump up the rating now.
Whats really wrong with this place is that its dirty. The shower stalls have a black mold around the bottom edges. The floors also in the showers are slimy. Plus the shower knobs and heads are always missing or broken. Theres a urinal thats broken and like everything else that breaks down, it might not get fixed for months. The pool and jacuzzi have a yellow slim and is heavily clorinated. The managers and regional manager must not care about this place at all because theyre never there. I live in Aurora but work up in Boulder and the two in my area are managed right. Boulder residents must love paying for the filth of a mismanaged gym because nobody says anything.Btw, this is how lazy the maintenance staff is. A show light bulb has been out for over a month. A easy replace but theyre too lazy to change even that.
Surprised at the reviews. Ive been working out at 24 for 5 months. I meet with one of the trainers, Brian Bokoski, 3 times a week. We use a mix of machines and free weights. My body is so lean, muscular and sexy now. I LOVE IT! The staff (trainers, front desk staff, the managers, and Joey) are all super polite and call me by name and the gals locker room is very clean. THE PRICE IS GREAT AND IT GETS THE JOB DONE. If a machine happens to not be working find free weight alternative - youll work more core and get a better workout.
Its a gym! How can you elitist Boulder yuppies hate on a gym? Because you cant have ALL the weights and equipment to yourself? Mommy and daddy and the Waldorf school didnt teach you to share or play nice with others? STFU and stay out of my way. Do more work and less complaining about the cleanliness of a sweaty gym and the enthusiasm of the staff. Haters man
I came to this gym after moving from the East Coast and having great experience at a Planet Fitness out there. I thought this gym would be similar but I was extremely disappointed. Although it is half the price of the other gyms in Boulder, a lot of the machines dont work. When its busy, which it usually is during the times I would go, it can be hard to find an available working machine. I went last week and tried 5 different broken machines before getting too frustrated and leaving because everywhere else was packed with people. This has happened every time Ive gone. Im sure some people have success here but Im definitely going to spend extra for a better gym. Just happy I didnt have to commit to a year.
When I first signed up, it was under an agreement made with their employee in charge of signing new members that it would only be $20 up front, and then after one month I would be charged the rest of the monthly membership. Only 6 days later I see they charged me $120 for membership fees, which in amount is incorrect, but more importantly, the timing of the charge was not at all what we had agreed upon when I signed up.I told him I had a two week trip to Europe coming up and would not be able to be charged any amount until after this trip, and he said no problem and that I could come in by the 17th (June) to take care of the charge. They seem to be trying to run some shady business deals here, or are extremely eager to take my money ahead of schedule, and also a lot of their machines are broken. Would not recommend signing up here !!!
