Always happy after a cut from Rio. He does a great job translating what I want into something I can actually maintain and suggesting tips for events when I’ll be photographed.

New to the area and spent some time trying out a few different barber shops around the city. Only needed one visit here to decide this was the place to go with. Rio gives a fantastic cut and is very knowledgeable with hair. Worth it every penny.

Amazing haircut every time from Van. He is consistent, cares about what he does and is an absolute expert at his craft. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great cut in the Boston area at a reasonable price. I make the trip to him from work at DTX and will never get a haircut from anyone else again. Van is the real deal!!

I have never been to a place where I get a consistently perfect haircut every time, but Van pulls it off. He has even given priceless advice on how to properly manage my hair.

Overpriced and I’m not happy with the result. The guy was nice but honestly one of the worst haircuts I’ve got in my life.He didn’t even clean my neck with a knife or washed my hair. For $50 I expect a much better service.Crazy.

I have been getting my hair cut by the owner Van for 5 years. Today I screwed up my booking and ended up with Mark one of the other barbers. I was nervous at first because I am a raving lunatic but I needed a haircut and a beard trim so I stayed.Mark did a phenomenal job proving to me yet again that Tribe is the best place to get a cut in the entire city, and it doesn’t matter WHO you see.10/10Rock on boys

Talented barbers, unique bespoke experience

I have been getting my hair cut by Marc for years. Even though Tribe is a lot farther from where I live than where Marc used to be, the thought of switching never crossed my mind. He gives an excellent haircut (even though my hair is a little difficult), hes got great taste in music (so the soundtrack is always excellent), hes friendly, and hes willing to roll with the punches (he doesnt usually do kids hair, but he gave my son his very first haircut and it was JUST the best). Plus, his space is always clean and well-appointed.In sum, I just dont think youll get a better haircut or a better experience with anyone else.

I’ve been trying out barbershops around the area and I would have to say it’s totally not worth for $50. My experience with Gina was unpleasant. She clearly doesn’t care what I want. I asked for a side part, but it turns out something very different. I think she is not familiar with foreign head-shape or something because she did a perfect haircut for the customer before me. For this price and this quality, there are a lot of other choices in Boston.

After trying barbers throughout the city, I can honestly say that Rio is the best around. He will give you recommendations on what style will work best for you and he pays extremely close attention to detail. I get exceptional haircuts every time and I cant say enough great things about Tribe. Great location, easy to book appointments, and top quality service!

Van is the best in Boston. People come from out of state (and as far as Vietnam!) to get a haircut from Van. Do yourself a favor and get a cut from him!

Less than optimal first experience...Rio was his name, and he couldnt care less about his newest client, me. He seemed bothered that I was even there (granted I was 10min late, but I did call to let them know). I asked for the simplest buzzer trim on just the sides and then for him to reshape two straight lines on the side of my head. Literally a 4min task. He basically bailed out saying thats not something he does. Lol. Are you a barber man or what? Perhaps hes better than todays experience and perhaps this place isnt just a trendy front...I will give it one more try this month to see.
