Big Joey! Joe is the man over there at Boston Barber Exchange. I always book an appointment with him and he has not only helped me figure out the perfect hairstyle to fit my head he always remembers what I get and always nails it. I put my friends, family and even my crazy in-laws onto Joe. He always keeps an amazing attitude on and sees the light in anything. I can now say he is not just my barber but has became an incredible friend of mine and I can always look to him for any help with anything in life. Keep it up Joe, never change !

Ive been going to Derek for years and followed him over from his last shop, Tweed in the South End. I have been incredibly impressed with Boston Barber Exchange. Super friendly team, great hospitality, and very clean / orderly shop. It is the kind of place youre happy to go back to time and time again. Derek always does a fantastic job on the cut and beard trim, highly recommend, I wont go to another barber as long as he is in the game. Consistency and excellence are the best two words to describe his craft.

Was visiting Boston this last week and was in serious need of a haircut. First, the online scheduling process was super easy. Second, I was fortunate to get Joseph S. He was fairly new to BBE and was awesome! Loved of the great way he knew what I was looking for. One of the best cuts I’ve had. Might have to fly to Boston once a month just for a haircut. Great shop... clean, classy, lots of mindless guy talk. Just what I needed that day.

As soon as you enter, you are welcomed by a beautiful young lady who checks you in and offers you a drink, from an eclectic arrangement. The environment of the shop is modern, including the decor. The cleanliness of the store is remarkable. When it comes to the staff, everyone is welcoming, professional, but also has that millennial twist with flowing conversations throughout the shop. Now to the important details, the haircut. Three adjectives that describes the cut you will get are precise, flawless, repetitive in quality. Seriously, the best haircuts I have ever gotten. Got my hair cut here for the first time last week and I remember the thought I had as I walked in was Ive found my barber. They do it all here from regular haircuts to beard trims and full hair washing. I got my haircut by Alexis and he did a fantastic job. Its exactly what I wanted and he made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. He even went so far as to ask why I left my old barber so he could make sure I was happy. Definitely will be going back here for all my future haircuts.

I was delighted to learn Josh was leaving Tweed Barbers and starting his own shop in the Financial District. He brought his discerning eye and professional savvy with him and started the best barbershop in the city. The shop itself, the vibe, the haircuts–all top notch. Ive been going to Boston Barber Exchange for months now, where Marc has been my go-to barber! Dudes got hands like a surgeon. You walk in to a friendly greeting. Water is available while you wait on the bench, with a perfect view of the big screen where you can catch up on the latest sports news. Just a great barbershop atmosphere, and one of the only spots in town to get a hot lather shave! Wouldnt trust any other place to do it either. Id recommend booking in advance because they fill up quickly!

The most incredible experience I’ve ever had at a barber shop. Josh is one of the best if not the best Barber anywhere around. He took his time and made sure the cut was perfect. I went to Boston Barber Exchange a few times and was pleased with my haircut every time. Marc Anthony is one of the best barbers I know because of his attention to detail along with his ability to communicate/educate the end user on various hair styles, products, and overall hair care. His personality only aides in his ability to connect with every customer!

I need to try out a new barber close to where I work and BBE fit the bill. I could schedule online and there are times close to lunch hour. Marc did my hair and did a great job, his attention to detail is impeccable. Its going to be my new regular haircut place every 2 months

Ive lived in Boston for a long time, and been to every single highly rated barbershop around town. Somehow I missed Boston Barber Exchange until recently, and Im glad Ive finally found it.Ive had a few cuts from Marc Lujares now, and everybodys been asking me who cuts my hair. Marc is an **extraordinarily attentive listener**, and has an uncanny ability to produce what your vision for your hair is, no joke. Hes also the only barber Ive had in 10 years who is great with trimming longer beard styles.I havent been to the other barbers in the shop, but you can check out the shop Instagram if youre skeptical at all that these guys arent awesome.

Josh (the owner) has been my barber for a few years now. He’s excellent, and always detailed with his haircuts. He always spends his time on your hair, and doesn’t try to process you through like an assembly line like some other barbers.Now he’s decided to open the Boston Barber Exchange, and his detail, quality, patience, and endless list of good qualities is exhibited throughout the shop. You wont find a better haircut in the city. I no longer live in the immediate area but I travel 45 minutes because Josh is an excellent barber who takes pride in every haircut. In addition to this, he treats every person he meets with respect and makes them feel like a friend. Some of my friends have tried Josh based on my referral and never looked back. Happy to say I go here.

This place is A1, went in there without ever going in before and with no ideas of what I wanted to get done. My boy Mike gave me hands down the best cut I’ve ever got in my life, told me “I got you” and I trusted him, never been happier. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would, definitely would recommend to anybody and for sure will be back very soon.

I had the best haircut/shave, at The Boston Barber Exchange. I had Marc Anthony, he gave me a bald fade on the sides, with natural flow on top and a hot shave. I am visiting from California, and I never had such an amazing experience, not just a haircut/shave but an experience. Whenever I visit Boston, The Boston Barber Exchange will always be in the itinerary and Marc Anthony. This will be my staple whenever I will be visiting town.

Went in for a simple crew cut. Cost $45. It was a good haircut. Just not $45 worth. I shouldve done some research.

Set up an appt online with the barber Marc which was easy enough came in to an impeccable looking shop and was asked if I wanted a beverage finally sat down with him and asked me what I was looking to get told him my gripes with my hair and he gave me his honest suggestion and what he could do... needless to say he went to work as did his magic and my hair came out flawless... got plenty of compliments from coworkers which is always a plus... plan on going back

Great clean location right in the heart of Boston.. My Barber Michael Colangelo is a magician with the clippers.. I wont be booking my appointments anywhere else

First visit results in a lopsided haircut. Decided to give them a second chance and went back two months later for a 10am appointment. After waiting for 10 minutes it became apparent that my barber was double booked as he was mid-way through another cut. The other gentleman that arrived at 10am was well into his haircut by the time I walked out. One might expect this from a local barber shop, but not in Bostons busy financial district. Complete waste of time. Clearly more interested in the look of the place than the service.
