I got all the typical alterations to a uniform plus more here and they did good. The only compliant is one of the pockets that was supposed to be sewn shut only partially completed. These folks are top notch. Military friendly and know all the standards for tailoring. The seamstress is amazing and for as many uniforms as I took in at once, I was done with measuring in last than 15 minutes. There were no adjustments needed after receiving. Additionally, the dry cleaning service is amazing and to have it all in a one stop shop makes it better. Highly recommend this business over the base services.

I went in a couple of years ago (Dec 2014- Jan 2015) to get my wedding dress altered. They did a fantastic job on the dress. They even put a rush on the order so that it would be ready in time for my wedding...which was out of town. They were nothing but nice and I have recommended them repeatedly to friends. I came at 9 because I needed my uniform they didn’t show up until 9:30.

I was in a rush to get a suit tailored. I called to other places around the area but they all told me they couldnt make the time crunch that I was in. Then I called Northgate Alterations. Not only did they take care of my request, they also refused to take additional money for the trouble I caused them. I offered to pay whatever it takes to get it back in time and they said not to worry about it. Hands down, they deserve every penny of my business.

Ive gone to Northgate Alterations countless times needing uniform items to be squared away ASAP. I have gone in, made my request, and left in less than 10 minutes, items in hand and paid for. Once I had a name tape get sewed on just a tad crooked, and requested it to be fixed, and they dropped what they were doing and fixed it on the spot. They do great work, the price is fantastic, and the customer service is exceptional!

I come here for all my alterations. They are great and work quickly. However, I tried to pick up today (Saturday) and their hours say open, but the shop was closed.

Ive been stationed at several stateside and overseas locations and this is by far the best alterations business Ive ever come across! They deserve every penny they earn for doing such a great job, and much more! Ive come across other places that charge much, much more for a far less superior job... I only wish Joe and Happy ran an alterations business wherever I PCSd!

Price is acceptable. The real selling point is the customer service. Instead of telling you when an item will be ready, they ask you when you need it. They really come through in a cinch. I wish more businesses operated with as excellent service as this place.

Please do not use this facility... Mrs. Debra (I think this is her name) told me that she could dry clean my sons uniform for him on today and I called just like she stated and now cannot get anyone on the phone. This is bad business because you told me one thing and did the other.

Its right outside of base and the owners are pretty relaxed. Theyve always offered good service for my dry cleaning. They always ask when you need your clothes back rather than telling you when theyll give them back. Usually its a 3 day turn around.

Great experience! My wedding dress did not fit. Thankfully it was made with enough extra fabric that now it fits perfectly and I cannot tell that it was altered.

Amazing quality and very fast when needed

Man, if I could rate this place lower, I would.Ive brought several pieces here, including vintage, and they always figure out how to do extraordinarily subpar work. Yes theyre timely, but I would rather have the hem on my shorts finished or the zipper on my dressed sewn in correctly- neither of which they seem capable of doing.When I brought in a vintage piece in, they sliced the sides of the dress out- so instead of taking in the waist, they took in the whole garment. Now, something that use to fit well, doesnt fit at all because an inch disappeared from each measurement. There isnt a way to fix or replace that. My lovely dress is now permanently ruined.I brought in some shorts that are more high end and velvet, but was just getting the hem repaired- no biggie. They couldnt possibly mess this up. Somehow, they made the shorts an inch shorter, uneven, AND didnt finish the hem. Amazing.I brought in another dress that I just wanted the zipper replaced entirely (dont worry- there are two dresses they destroyed in completely different ways via zipper, well get to that one). Its 15 dollars to replace a zipper- no worries. But! Unsurprisingly, they didnt replace the zipper, just moved it and charged me 15 dollars regardless. When I stated that no, I wanted the zipper replaced entirely and wasnt interested in paying 15 dollars for a moved zipper, they had no real response. The tension in the room was definitely stating I was not taking my dress home if I didnt pay despite them not doing the work I paid them for. Alright, Im paying for this bs and you can all kick rocks.WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE GRAND FINALE!I have been coveting a particular dress for a long time. It isnt made anymore and its not easily found. But I found it! I was so happy. But, the zipper just didnt work. Bummer. No worries tho, Ill go get the zipper replaced. However, I am obviously incapable of learning. Because! These amazingly incompetent people took out my old zipper (cool) to then haphazardly sew in a new one (not cool), upside down (definitely not cool), while somehow removing some of the garment. So now, I have this beautiful dress where the pieces they cut (which shouldnt have happened) are frayed and the zipper is uneven. AND not only that! It is longer than it should be, which makes it hard to zip and since they so brightly sewn it in caddywhompus and upside down, its near impossible to zip. And since some of the side of the dress is missing (for no reason), its tighter than it originally was and based on the cut, the smaller size is extremely noticeable.There are more horror stories, but these people are they worst. Very polite, but horrific tailors. I cant believe I continually tried to make them work for me. Theyve f_cked a lot of my clothes, some of which are irreplaceable.I would tell you to go someplace else, but there doesnt seem to be another tailor in town. So learn how to sew, best of luck to you.

Do NOT go for lace alterations or bring a wedding dress. Brought my lace wedding dress and was told they could do a bustle and would do these pick-up things instead of hemming the lace and I would hardly notice. Well they looked terrible and very noticeable. Also they did NOT BUSTLE (told me they couldnt) and were upset with me for asking to take it out of the price that they had quoted me. Im not going to pay for something you didnt do. I was also told 4 weeks. I called back at 6 and they wanted 2 more weeks. Only giving two stars because I brought a dress here before and they did a fine job.

I went to have my wedding dress altered. It was slightly too small and the designer had not left enough fabric to let it out. The seamstress said there was no way it would ever fit, and that I should take my dress to Davids Bridal and ask them to trade me for a different dress (I did not buy my dress from Davids because of the extremely poor reviews, so I would have gone in there with a dress they dont even sell). Long story short, I found a seamstress that fixed the dress in a week, and she told me that this seamstress was just lazy. Im sure shes great for basic alterations, but as far as having comprehensive knowledge of sewing and alterations, find someone else.*In Response To Owners Comment*The seamstress that I found did NOT fix a new dress. She fixed the one that Northgate Alterations said was unable to be altered. I have changed my star to a 3 star from the one star, as the owner is right, the seamstress did recommend that she not try to alter the dress, as it was outside of her expertise.

Went to get a dress alterted. Ended up going back 2 extra times because they had to re-do the same thing over and over again. Such an inconvenience. And to top it off, they are way overpriced. Do NOT go here.

Paid 10 dollars for an alteration, and when I went to pick it up they gave me 5 dollars because I overpaid. Excellent price, and very military friendly.
