Crystal Palms has been great for my family. The maintenance crew comes in a timely manner and overall the unit is spacious and the grounds are well kept. My only complaint is the kitchen. The layout isn’t well thought out and the oven is kind of older. For my purposes it works well though and we’re happy we came!

We moved here about a year ago from Palms of Boca Del Mar, about a half mile down the road. Kicking myself that we didn’t make the move earlier.. literally almost double the square footage for the exact same price, very community friendly, neighbors are all super nice. My one (very mild) complaint was parking, and it seems they are starting up a system to help that along.. I see myself living here until it’s time to purchase a home. 😎

Wanted to set up a tour for their 1BR/1 Bath Alameda, which also has a large den that can be utilized as a second bedroom. My wife and I are moving down with our 7 month old (the den would’ve worked great as a nursery) but was denied a tour of it because some silly law states “that there’s a 2 bedroom minimum requirement for 3 people”??? The den is 13’4x12’10 with a door - that is MUCH more needed space than we’d need for my daughter’s nursery...But after reading rodent/roach reviews maybe it’s for the better...

On the surface, Crystal Palms looks like a great place to live. The outside is beautiful, and the model apartment looks amazing. Once youre in, however, its a different story. While the apartment itself could be worse, the real trouble arises if you ever need anything from the staff...and I mean anything. The problems that were noted when I did the initial walkthrough were never fixed, despite me asking about them multiple times. There was an old trash compactor that didnt work, and an old dishwasher that scratched several dishes and even broke a glass. I was told when I initially moved in that either of these would be removed/replaced if there were any problems. As soon as I asked them to make good on that promise, I was immediately and flatly told no. Before I moved in, I was only told that they were redoing the roof of an adjacent apartment building. For the entire year I lived there, there was always something going on, creating an extremely noisy atmosphere. This was quite annoying, but could be tolerated, if I didnt have to deal with an office staff that was happy to lie to me in order to get me to rent with them, but treated me like dirt the entire time I was there. If you never need anything at all, Crystal Palms is probably a decent place to live. However, the moment you need anything, or expect them to live up to any promises they made you, youll be in trouble.

I have lived here in a first floor 3/2 for a year and my lease is up I about a month. I will be relocating for several reasons. My main complaint is about the bugs in my apartment, specifically the master bedroom and bathroom. We have had spiders and roaches since day one and the exterminator has come multiple times, but the problem was never solved. The building is not sealed well so the insects crawl in through the tiny cracks coming from the outside. Congratulations to Crystal Palms for holding the record for the biggest cockroach ever seen! Some other complaints include difficult parking, rude office staff, and noisy neighbors. Parking during the day is usually fine, but if you come home past 8 pm any day of the week... good luck finding a spot. However, they have never once put a sticker or boot on my car. When I first signed my lease, Luz was the staff member who handled everything and she was horribly rude. She had zero customer service skills... which I guess is why she doesn’t work there anymore. My upstairs neighbors were terribly loud. When I first moved in, I knocked on their door and politely asked them to keep it down, which did not happened. I heard footsteps at all hours of the day and night. On the better side of things, the location is perfect, I witnessed no crime during my time there, the price was good, and the maintenance crew was pretty quick and efficient. In a nutshell, do not live here if you’re squeamish about bugs and like a reliable parking situation. Definitely not a permanent home, but it was fine temporarily.

In response to the reply of Rachael, not true. There were over 14 cars parked illegally this past weekend and on average 10 per night. I have had to park at the YMCA or TD Bank for fear of being towed, and now theyre doing nothing. Garbage and recycle couldnt even get to the dumpsters as they normally drive through the complex - they got to an area that was so congested, they had to back out of the complex. Please tell me what is going to happen when theres a fire truck or ambulance that needs to get through? Especially when people are parking right next to fire hydrants and not getting towed or even warned?There are units that have up to 6 people living in them (2 bedrooms) and each person has a car. They used the excuse of we had a lot of people move in this past weekend back in August and said they were suspending the towing for 1 week. Then we had Hurricane Irma, 4 parking spots were lost due to a large tree falling and damaging a couple of cars. So while we lost 4 spots, understandable, we have 14 cars parked illegally. You cant even have guests over because there is no parking.There needs to be a limit on how many cars can reside with each unit and give each unit one designated parking space - if someone is in your space, you have the authority to have that car towed.

I will begin by saying that Crystal Palms seemed quite appealing in my first walk through of the model. However, living on the first floor of this apartment for a year was more than enough to decide that this is not the home for me. The two-three times weekly lawn mowing and leaf blowing right next to the bedroom windows coupled with the dump truck banging and beeping at 6AM was enough to put me over the edge. However, even more so upsetting, my roommates and I experienced a severe cockroach infestation that we lived with for almost half of our leasing period. The bugs crawled through the bathrooms, cabinets, and linen closets. Nothing more could be done is what we were told with our weekly extermination rounds. We were told to keep the apartment clean of anything that would attract bugs (and might I add this place was spotless the entire time). However, opening the utensil drawer to a cockroach is not how I planned on starting many of my days. Soon after the roaches cleared up, we experienced ants (by the HUNDREDS) invading the bedrooms via cracks in our window frames, which was not fixed by the staff or exterminators, but by the residents ourselves. There are little to no parking spaces at night. Have you no parking space, do not park in the big empty spaces next to the parking spots, as the landlords will threaten to tow your vehicle and evict you. Lastly, we were charged for items that we put maintenance requests in for. However, we were blown off and bluntly told that all records are accounted for and ours was not in there. Overall I am not satisfied with my service, but utterly disgusted. I feel that all of my requests were overlooked by entirely too rude management. Management is rude, unprofessional, and utterly lazy. I was just another unit over-paying my apartments worth.

I am a current resident and could not be more disappointed. To say parking is terrible would be an understatement. There is NO parking. Being I work nights I specifically asked about the parking (because it is first come first serve) and was assured it would be no problem. It is a problem, a big one. There is not one spot in the entire neighborhood. I have to double park my car outside of my building and set an alarm to wake up to move it 2 hours later otherwise I will get a boot. How can you not come up with a solution for me to be able to park at my own home? (Or even care to try for that matter)

I looked at an apartment here. Did the application, sent documents, and paid the fee. I read denied because of income to ratio but had the money to pay. No serious issues on report or anything. Was told I would be refunded my holding fee and still nothing.

Lived here for 2 years and the experience was awful. There was 7 rats caught in our apartment along with multiple insects that would crawl in. Management did nothing, nor believed us. My roommate had to physically bring a dead rat into the leasing office to prove we had rats in our apartment. The management staff was always rude especially Mary in the main office. They raised their lease prices only because they painted the outside of the buildings, many other neighbors had rat problems as well. Horrible place to live, do not live here.

I would never recommend crystal palms . I been living here for only 5. Since I have been I had my car stolen and three packages. They no cameras and we’re not will to help. Rents to high to have your personal items like your 60k stolen.

They are not a serious company if they want to lose their money from the application this is the right place, the attention from Mrs. Roxana was good, actually the only good thing, after having almost 20 days waiting for the approval of the application by The On Site company, in that period of time they asked me for documents such as pay stub, proof of payments of some accounts that the credit bureau companies were not reporting, after sending ABSOLUTELY ALL THE DOCUMENTS they simply denied the application without logical reason, I contacted the On Site company and they told me that the application was being denied by Crystal Palms, then I called them and they told me that they did not deny the application that it was the On Site ones, they blamed each other and none of the two never assumed their responsibility, they told me that because they were 2 months behind, YES BUT THAT WAS IN DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR, they should be objective and focus on the present, nor do they cord criminal, nor any overdue accounts ALL a day, or is it that in the United States no one has been late in a payment? Or is it that all the people who had late payments 7 months ago are denied the application? $ 200 lost, which is certainly not millions, but this was practically throwing $ 200 out the window, plus I wasted 20 days getting another place to move, IRRESPONSIBLE.
