Bought new AC unit from them last July. Had drain problems with unit within the first month. Technician came out and tried to fix and confirmed installation issue. We have continued to have issues over the last year. Now Company says they will only come out if service fee is paid. I dont recommend them under any circumstance. Seem to be more interested in money than customer service.

Scott was by far the best technician we have dealt with. He found so many different issues and addressed them on the spot. We had a few other AC guys before but they never told us any of this. He left maybe an hour ago and we are already feeling the difference in our house. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

My family has used for Rome Aire for their AC needs since the 1980s, and my wife and I still use them today. Their service and professionalism are exceptional, and they are always responsive and quick to come out. When our AC unit died completely over a July 4th weekend a few years ago, they came out immediately and had us up and running in 24 hours with an entirely new unit. We just had our biannual preventative service today (a service I highly recommend), and Dan was fantastic. He took the time to take care of everything we needed quickly, professionally, and at a very fair price! Hire this company - you wont be disappointed!

Technician Dan was prompt to arrive, professional and quick to find the problem—installed a new motor and had our AC cooling in no time!   While I agreed with Dan’s observation that our indoor unit was reaching end-of-life, I appreciated that Dan provided a repair for the outdoor unit that should allow us a bit more time before we replace the system. We’ve been Rome Aire customers for more than 15 years; they’ve always provided great service and fair pricing for our two AC systems and our pool heat pump.

Great experience from start to finish. Had a mini split a/c installed and all of the work they did looks clean and tidy. Scott came out to give me the quote and he was on time, professional and just a nice guy. The quote they gave came in almost $1500 less than another place we called, and they removed the old a/c (broken wall unit), when the other place was going to leave it and make me deal with it. All the guys that came out to do the work were friendly and professional as well, and they left the place cleaner than they found it—literally had to do some yard work to get the slab in. Will definitely use for all a/c related work moving forward.

Our a/c died after hours on a Friday and they were here within an hour, diagnosed our problem, and were back first thing Saturday morning with the new unit to replace it. They were very nice and professional and gave us a great price. We’ve used them in the past as well and they’ve always been fantastic and honest! Highly recommend

They arrived on time to replace our air conditioner. And this was on a holiday, presidents day. They were excellent at listening, and knew what we wanted from the repair persons communication.. They left no mess and even wore shoe coverings in the house to avoid tracking dirt.Best of all, they got it done in one day.

Charged $95 for a home visit to do nothing. Quoted another $225 to replace the LCD panel on my pool heater, a 5min job. I called another company for $125 and 1 visit fixed it.

Like most people, I expect good service and rarely write about it unless I dont receive it. I hope that by sharing my experience with Rome Aire, they make some changes in their company.When one of my two AC units broke down, I researched AC companies and Rome Aire had some excellent reviews online so I decided to give them a call. The salesman came out promptly, quoted me for a new unit and then upsold me to replace both units for a special price, even though the second one didnt need replacing and was working perfectly. What a mistake!The second unit they installed (unnecessarily but Ill take the blame for that), has now broken down twice in the 6 months that it has been installed. The first time was a minor inconvenience as I was only without AC for a day and a half. The second time, a technician came out promptly, (I wont name him), and told me that my unit (under full warranty) was completely out of coolant and I needed to pay $685 to refill it because the warranty doesnt cover coolant replacement. I refused to pay as it is impossible that it lost all that coolant in 6 months and obviously they installed it improperly. The technician put his manager on the telephone (also unnamed for privacy reasons), who explained to me that it was probably my fault that it had no coolant, that the technician did a pressure check on the new unit and it was perfect so therefore, the lines that run through my home were faulty.I explained to him that prior to replacing it, my old unit ran fine and never needed coolant so the house lines were fine. He became extremely condescending and told me that as he is in the business, he knows more than me, and that the lines probably vibrated themselves loose. And... For another $600, he will do an isolation test to prove to me that the lines in my house have a leak. So basically I had a choice of continue to have no AC after spending $10,000 with Rome Aire less than 6 months ago, or pay them an additional $1,200 to repair it.When I told him that was unacceptable to me and that we were going to have a problem if Rome Aire didnt repair my brand new unit and refill it with coolant, he offered to lower the cost to $600. I still refused, so he told his technician to do the isolation test anyway, and prove to me that the problem was in my home. The technician disconnected everything they had installed (3+ hours of labor), re-pressurized my system with nitrogen, and told me that he would come back in 4 days to check pressure readings and in the meantime, I had to now go without AC.4 hot, humid days later, I got lucky and my original technician called in sick. They rescheduled me later in the day with another technician, Dan Vaughn. Dan asked me a lot of questions before even looking at my system, and immediately knew that something wasnt right. He then inspected the new unit, instantly found a faulty valve, said he was unsure why the first technician didnt notice the leak but that hed have it up and running again in no time.Long story I know, but employees like Dan Vaughn need to be promoted to management as they are the only reason Rome Aire is still able to do business. And if the company management continues to operate in a blame the customer manner as they did with me, then they deserve to be out of a job when the company fails.

Service was excellent. Dan came in a timely manner as the dispatcher mentioned on a Sunday to get our unit running again. The repair was done as promised and very professionally. We were up and running very quickly. We always use a Rome Aire for our routine serve and repairs and are always pleased.

I was referred to Rome-Air my my pool company, Eagle Pools, not knowing they serviced Hayward Pool Pumps - which was a god send as Ive been scammed on my Hayward Heat Pump by the company Hayward sent to me.
