I was so nervous and I had spent days looking for a new barber only to come across the name Ally Barber Studio. Not only was I welcomed with a warm reception but was immediately relieved when I could tell that I was going to be taken care of and get exactly the cut I wanted! I was never left out of the conversation during my haircut and any input I had was met with support and reassurance. I left feeling like a new man and a haircut I could show everyone and be happy about! Don’t hesitate and miss the chance to visit a wonderful barber studio with a lot of love put into everything that goes on there (covid safe and discounts for students too!!) you won’t regret visiting!

On a busy day Ally fit me in for a haircut. I was impressed by the shop! Ally did everything should could to maintain safe contact, and went over all her sanitization steps with me before starting! The haircut I received was quick and quality. I highly recommend you check Ally’s shop out!

A pro and an artist. Also a good communicator. Affordable rates are another plus. Happy to support her new shop! (which also has the coolest name ).

Allison (Ally) Hagenbuckle recently opened her own barber shop, after spending the last five years or so working at Vs Barbershop. Ally is great and very detailed-oriented. In the last five years, when she was working at Vs, I never had a bad experience with her. With her own barber shop, her care and professionalism have reached even higher levels. The new place is nicely appointed, with light wood furniture all around, giving it a modern yet relaxing look. It is small with only two chairs so it is recommended that you call ahead. If you have to wait, there is a pile of recent New Yorker magazines to entertain yourself in the waiting area.I highly recommend Ally Barber and I will be back there every time I need a haircut.

After decades of amateur haircuts, I started going to Ally a year ago. I knew she did a great job, but I didnt appreciate how great until trying a couple of other barbers in town. There are other good barbers in Bloomington, but Ally far outshines everyone else Ive been to. For $20, I just got a $100 haircut. Make a reservation now. You wont regret it.

Ally has always been a great barber, (also certified to give razor shaves) and the only one I will go to. Now that she has her own shop, getting a haircut with her is an even better experience: she is professional but friendly, and really knows her stuff. The new shop is really convenient to get to -- right behind Goldcasters and across the street from Sahara Mart. And its SO comfortable in there! If youve been going elsewhere you really owe it to yourself to try Ally out -- youll be happy you did!
