Required $600 to show I had commitment and ended up charging me $289 for diagnostics. No good explanation of the issues, but said they could not fix it. The owner was arrogant and deceptive. I recommend going to a legitimate auto repair shop for peace of mind.*Response to owner’s response below.*No parts were needed as diagnostic services had not yet been performed. $600 was asked “to show commitment,” and is not a common business practice.Why respond in all CAPS? Your claim anyone was disrespectful is simply your way of deflection because you were the only disrespectful person in this scenario.

Very trustworthy, honest, and does great work. My car is running great, I learned a lot, and have confidence the work that was done was what was necessary and nothing more. I was quoted 3 different servicing options based on my budget, and was clearly explained the pros and cons of each. Would definitely recommend.

My 03 Trailblazer blew a water pump on I55 just outside Bloomington when I was on my way to meet my daughter to drive to Chicago in her car. I had not had any prior experience with these guys but they did a turn key operation getting my car towed off the shoulder to the shop and replacing the water pump. Ken called me at 5:00 pm while I was enjoying the day in Chicago with my family. I am now on my way back from Chicago and going to pick up the car. An incredibly professional and trustworthy outfit. I would recommend them for any automotive repair.

Good place to take your car in for service. I took our Camry and had battery replaced, cables replaced and other minor repairs taken care of. They didnt overcharge us for anything and replaced a light bulb in the tail light for no extra charge. No problems whatsoever. Give them a try.

Trust. Customer service. Great mechanical work. Trust. Those are four things I think of regarding my experience with Kellys (and yes, it was intentional to say trust twice). Ive gone to several other places in town with the same car and the others were okay, no complaints. But when I go to Kellys, mechanic Ken listens carefully to symptoms I describe and addresses my concerns. If I didnt move to the West Coast, I would continue to bring my vehicle to Kellys for everything from a simple oil change to timing belt/water pump replacement. Before I left I had them replace a lot of major parts because I know I trust them.

Consistently both overcharge and dont listen particularly well to female customers (unless they just dont listen to ANY customers, which is possible, who knows!). Took my car in to have AC fixed among other issues twice, first time they charged me $100 for their time, second time just didnt look at it at all and charged me $140 to swap a tail light bulb(which is hard to do in a Volkswagen, but come on!). Apparently they also did not notice I had a broken spring coil, which Don Owens noticed immediately and said had been broken for a long time. If their customer service had been good maybe I wouldnt have been bothered by the price but seeing as their customer service was basically garbage, 1 out of 5 stars.

I am absolutely impressed by the work done on my vehicle done at Kellys. From how quick I was able to get my car in, to being open and honest about what was wrong, the fair pricing for the work being performed and how quickly the work was done (same day!), I am absolutely blown away. I cannot recommend using anyone else.

I have written a review about ANOTHER Car shop - who were planning to charge me close to $100 for a minor fix, for which these gentlemen - did everything for $35 out the door.... they are great, and I am for sure a return customer for them. They have a competitive pricing model and do give you honest suggestions about your car.

After reading good reviews I thought I would take my car here to get steering fixed. After promised and paying for a OEM part I was to find a aftermarket part was installed and still charged for the OEM part. Would not recommend taking your car here.

I was passing through town and had a problem I thought was very serious, but turned out to be low power steering fluid. Kellys definitely could have screwed me if they wanted to, but they were very professional and explained that the problem was minor. I drove away with my car fixed for $16. Will come back for all future issues with my vehicle.

Fair and honest work in by a smaller family run business!

I had a mixed experience there. Took my Volvo with an oil leak. They quoted a lower price for the leak and PCV issue fix than what a standard repair would cost with parts and labor. I was concerned and was willing to dish out extra $$$ to have the issue fixed for good and I told them as well.My suspicion was correct, in a little over a year the PCV issue came back with a vengeance and caused major oil leaks requiring me to spend $$$$ in repair. They also left the turbo control disconnected, I also had a power steering major leak driving out of the shop. They are probably a decent place for taking your european car for minor issues, but they are not 100% accurate in fixing complex issues.
