I had an extremely positive experience at Bobby and Steve’s Auto World. They were very knowledgeable about what needed to be done to repair my car. They explained what my options were in a clear and concise manner. I also observed great camaraderie among the technicians, which I thought was quite impressive. When I went to pick up my car, they informed me that I was being given a free car wash as a thank you for having my car repaired there that was valid for 90 days! Then lastly, when I got in my car, there was a bottle of water as a thank you gift for having my car repaired at Bobby and Steve’s! I highly recommend Bobby and Steve’s Auto World!!!

Booking an appointment was fast and easy, staff were friendly and the oil change was reasonably priced, however they gave me long list of repairs in which over half were not necessary or needed to be done at all according to my brother who has been a certified mechanic for over 10 years.They also wanted to charge me nearly $700 to put in new front brakes when I changed them myself for 100$Strangely I found a nail in my tire when I returned home and the shop mentioned nothing about this so I’m assuming it may have happened there.

The reason for the two stars is because the fact they are open throughout the holiday, friendly staff, complimentary loaner car, willing to work with your schedule to pick up the car, and the tow truck driver was extremely nice and understanding. So A+ on customer service.The reason for losing 3 stars is because their mechanical skills Fail. My car lost power. The charge $145 for diagnostic, but didn’t find the problem. Claimed I had a bad battery, which neither my spouse, I, or our trusted mechanic believes. We don’t believe them because we’ve never had a problem with the vehicle starting and I was going 70 mph with no issues. A faulty battery does not fit any off my issues.When I left Bobby and Steve’s my ‘check engine light’ was still on. I also had the same problem that I did when I had it towed in on my way home. Talk about $368 fraud, fixing working items and not finding the problem. When I called to talk to them about it the state my receipt stated “unable to duplicate clients concern” and told me to take it to someone near me.Bobby and Steve’s also wanted me to get my front breaks done, but they wanted $527 to do it. The parts are double the cost from them than the auto store. My mechanics jaw dropped when he saw what they were going to charge.

This was just an estimate for my auto AC. They were fast with the quote. A little high but their work is awesome and I trust them with my vehicles. The compressor is out so that one is a major expense unless you know how to work on your own car.

My road side assistance sent Bobby and Steve’s after having outrageous issues with a different tow company and they were very responsive and fast. They double checked my location (494) and prioritized my tow. They were on time and were more than helpful. Definitely will request them from the start moving forward, or just call them to begin with.

Ive been going to Bobby & Steves for a few decades. ALWAYS receive respectful service, information, and care. They have never tried to sell me something I didnt need. Let me know what to keep an eye on. And have ALWAYS stood behind their warranties. I cant imagine going anywhere else. I went to a different Bobby and Steve’s where I got a list of about $2,000 worth of repairs and then made an appointment to get some of the things fixed at this one. I was pleasantly surprised that the things on the list were not as much of an issue as previously described. I spoke to Wayne throughout the time my car was there and he was very honest and seemed like he only wanted the best. They had discovered my gas tank was leaking which was overlooked by the other Bobby and Steve’s. I am so thankful to Wayne and the rest of the staff for remaining honest and kind, and I will most definitely keep coming back. A huge thank you to all the staff!

Car battery was dead before work at 730am on a Wednesday morning. They had a tow guy out to give me a jump by 8am. Drove to the shop (without an appointment) and they replaced the battery within about 20 minutes. Great car service with helpful and friendly customer service (Zach I believe) at the front desk.

I came here for a belt replacement. They were quick to get me in the door. I brought my car into there shop late in the day and they still got my car in and out the same day. I appreciate there service and quick help. Thank you!

Bobby & Steves automotive service department makes my life significantly easier. No kidding. From the scheduling on the phone, the pick up and drop off of my vehicle at my place of work, to the text messages with their service report and photos prior to proceeding with corrections. When the keys magically appear back on my desk mid-afternoon and I get back in my vehicle, I take a sip of the complimentary bottled water in the console and silently thank the mechanics that I can trust so wholly that I dont even need to put any effort or thought into any part of it.

We were on our family vacation to Minnesota and when we arrived into town we noticed a clunking noise coming from underneath our van! We got to our hotel and we called Bobby & Steve’s they told us to bring our van over and we could get it looked at first thing in the morning. They even gave my husband a ride back to our hotel! The next morning they called us right away with great news! Our sway bar link that we had just got replaced before our trip wasn’t tightened! They fixed the problem and only charged us for a half hour of time and they even came back to our hotel to pick Ur up my husband to get our van! We were so happy everything turned out well! I am so great full for Bobby & Steve’s because they are honest, reliable, and kind people! Knowing that we were from out of town and in a tough spot where we needed our vehicle serviced, we didn’t know what to expect because some auto places would of took advantage of our situation! Not Bobby & Steve’s! They really are honest, great people!

If you have gray hair, AVOID If youre coming off the Interstate. Aggressive panhandlers abound. And NO, it wasnt a panhandler with a nice car. These are several people, all different, and hang out on your outdoor picnic table and aggressively harass people going inside the store. You need to start DOING something about it. Im not going back again.

My key system locked up the ignition and they went to great lengths to solve this issue correctly with the manufacturer. Todd was in constant communcation and did what he could on the cost factor. My ignition was repaired and two new programmed keys. Thank you all!

My sons 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee overheated due to a hole in the radiator. AAA towed it to Bobby & Steves, and they had the radiator replaced within 24 hours of the breakdown! That turnaround was amazing!

These guys are totally awesome! Blowout on 35W, 5 oclock traffic southbound at 65 MPH! They got there within 45 minutes, changed my tire, really cool wrecker driver! If I could give it a zero I would! I popped a tire late at night. We were less than a mile away so I stopped. In the middle of this the jack collapsed. The bay doors were wide open I was hoping to find alittle help. 3 of these people walked right by me! When one did stop, he said we are closed! So I asked if I could brow a jack to finish i got we are closed how hard is that! I had to call a tow company to come help. Even the driver commented how rude. Only stop here if your desperate for gas.

I was very pleased with every aspect of my experience, especially the quickness of their work.

My car broke down in the middle of the road and they sent a car right away to pick up and my mother up and then one of their personal cars to park behind us with hazard lights on. Some of the people that worked there were super kind and helpful.

Honestly, I will never go anywhere else for an oil change. They are so affordable and Im always in and out in less than half hr. They explain what they did, and go over everything with me. I had a flat tire out if my working parking lot on a Friday night, and went to Bobby and Steve’s since it was the closest to me. Even though I had no appointment and it was a random Friday evening, they were able to look at my tire, and to my surprise when I can down from the lounge for coffee they had it repaired ! It was the best experience relating to my car that I have had in a long time . They were fair and went above and beyond for me and I so appreciate it.

I rolled into the Bloomington location with a bad tire and wheel, I had planned to take it to a discount tire place . The service was excellent with upfront pricing and great communication. It did end up being a little more than the competition, but was happy to pay because of the prompt and no upsale service!

My service included replacement of the front rotors and pads. Upon driving home I noticed a high pitched squeal occurring with light braking. Having not subsided over a couple days, brought back in to have looked at.The diagnosis the service advisor provided was that the CV Shaft was leaking and grease was entering the brake assembly causing the squealing. The fix would be to replace the CV shaft - about $1,400.Im certainly no car repair expert, but his explanation was something Id not heard of before. Curious to understand, I surfed the web but couldnt seem to find any articles on this topic. I called a local mechanic Ive used before and his opinion was that it was highly unlikely this was the cause of the noise.Not wanting to live with a high pitched squeal every time I brake at a stoplight, I took the car into another repair shop to have them look at it. Turns out the issue was that the rotor and brake assembly were put on incorrectly. The repair technician came out and very thoroughly explained and even referenced and Audi service notice in support. And when I asked about the possibility of the CV shaft causing the issue he also indicated that was very unlikely and as the two components arent related in a way for that to occur.I spent $3,000+ over the last week at Bobby and Steves on my two cars, so Im sure you can understand why they wont get another 2 cents from me. I can understand possibly an inexperienced technician, but add in the CV shaft explanation leads me to believe I was ripped off.

This morning I came to buy gas, 3:55AM on 04/03/2021. I buy gas here all the time- in the past year I have rarely bought gas anywhere else. I held up the card to show the cashier I have a credit card after he announced that you must pay inside or pay with a credit card. I already had the card in my hand. I always pay with a card, I dont carry cash. I pay with the credit card at the pump so I can fill the tank. I only fill my cars with premium, even the older car I use for daily commuting. I inserted the card to fill my gas tank and the cashier canceled my transaction. I fill my tank here with premium at least once a week. Management can look up my name, earlier this year I paid for towing and new harmonic balancer. I am not going to buy gas here again- you should fire that cashier..

What fantastic service, far above and beyond others.The starter in my 2003 Toyota Camry failed. Yikes-awful feeling when you turn the key-and ...nothing. Bobby & Steves turned that negative into a positive with their courteous, and prompt, excellent help. The Service Advisor, Tim Ziemba was so patient and so thorough-he explained everything-what was needed, cost, when done, etc. Really impressive! (didnt have to ask 20 questions). And not only did Technician Foster Prescott do a great job repairing my car-he also found damage from a previous garage! He and Tim explained it well so I knew how to explain it to that garage. They fixed the damage without question. If Foster hadnt found that damage? Would have really cost me. Great Service! These guys are on it! I felt so relieved that they could fit me in last minute and make sure my car was up for the trip across the country. They were honest, kind, respectful and quick. They described everything that was going on with my car and didn’t try to ‘scare me’ into getting the repairs done, just gave me the estimate of what it would cost to fix outlining every single charge so I understood what I was paying for. Really Really Appreciate this place!

It’s better than just a fuel stop. I complain about the fuel price being higher than the place further off 494, but their location is a huge convenience. The Perkins next to it is open all night, too, so if you stop here after midnight, you’re not alone. The area is well lit and theres a steady flow of mechanics and tow trucks and hungry people after bar close.The mechanics here have helped with both roadside and in-house car service. I’ve been satisfied with the results.

My throttle body failed and i went here to get it replaced. After i got it back my car was reving high and pulling itself forward kinda fast. I brought it back and came back the next day and my car is still reving high. They didnt sound like they wanted to take it back either. Besides that everyone there is pretty friendly. Before the visit my car never had any issues with the RPMs and they charged me 750$ to have this done.

Had my car jumped and towed in and the driver couldn’t have been nicer. Tim and foster were great at keeping me updated about my car and going out of the way to explain and break down the process of everything.

Went for repair... I was fortunate enough to walk in bright and early 6:30-7a and was greeted by what I soon learned was the manager of the repair department MIKE. Immediately you could tell he was (is) experienced in customer service, the experience, and knowledge of cars.I told him I worked near by and informed me they offer a free pick up service ( Pick up your vehicle at your place during the day ) so you can be productive while they fix your car. Of course, before they do the work they give you a call with the price (OUCH) but thats just life. I had some major work done, included all the basic maintenance (which was reasonable priced)Couple hiccups along the way but there was the manager MIKE, talking care of everything and doing a 5 star job. The work was’t completed exactly according plan - more than anticipated was wrong with my car, took longer to get things done right so it screwed up my schedule and plans that evening. Originally I told the crew I would be around at the office until 10p, but something came up and was forced to leave before it was done and picked up ) Subsequently, I was forced to take my first Uber that night.The next morning, I went to get my car, greeting again by the manager Mike, let him know what happened and without hesitation took care of the Uber cost. (Keep in mind, my repairs were $1900 so don’t expect free Uber rides lol) he just did the right thing as far as customer care, not sweating the small stuff and paying attention to the customer. OUTSTANDING-I will update on the repairs at a later time... by now, nobody has read this far in the review.Recommend 5-Stars Service, and Special shout out to the entire staff, and Mike the Manager.

I’m sure they are competent mechanics, but the $130 per hour diagnostic fee seems very steep to add on top of the already expensive repair costs. I get that time is money, but Labor is not usually $130/hour. Maybe $70. Most other dealers will figure out what’s wrong with the car, tell you how much it will be, and then you pay them for the parts and labor. I understand the time it would take to figure out an obscure issue with little to go on, but I gave good reasons to believe that the problem was my ABS. They get the right to charge what they want, but when all the other mechanics I’ve seen don’t charge for diagnostic, I’ll be giving them my business.

They were OK at best. I needed them for a toe and it took them three hours to come get my vehicle. The tow truck driver was safe and secured my vehicle during the tow but it took a very long time to get it hooked up and he was smoking during that time. I will be going somewhere else next time.

Where do I begin? Thank you so much for coming to pull my truck out of the snow at 4am. I was so worried that I would be stuck till later in the day and you guys were here within an hour. I am so grateful. Service was fast and the driver was so kind to me. I was in Nort Minneapolis at the time and was worried I may not get help til later. I cant thank you enough. So so grateful. I went in for an oil change. Was told I needed new brakes and rotors for $1000. Had them checked else where, there was still 45% life left. I will never go there again and would not recommend them to anyone for car repairs!

Always great service, it’s like a small town filling station, very friendly and they can do everything you ever wanted. These guys got me new tires at a better price then the discount tire shops in the area. All service quick and easy, actually a great place to hang out for a bite to eat. Go there and try the service, you’ll love it.

Even after confirmed appointment, mere oil change took one and half hour. Also, the technician didnt reset my vehicle maintenance info and I had to do it myself once I realized it after couple of days.

WowRob helped me over the phone and got me in right away. When i arrived he was expecting me and the paperwork took less then a minute. Dan was my technician and did a great job.When i got home my daughter noticed an issue, i phonedRob was busy, but Jim stepped up, told me to bring it back abd they would take care if it.I brought it back, jim grabbed the 🔑 key and tbe repair was made. Went to have brake fluid flushed so I marked the level unfortunately shop in Bloomington didn’t do the job but charged me. They fixed the problem when I called though. I now always check the work

They sent a tow truck out on a cold Friday night and the service was prompt, courteous and efficient. They got us up and running again and helped us move on from a potentially dangerous situation (a flat tire on a busy freeway). Terrific service!

Im not pleased. I needed work done on my vehicle that I couldnt do myself. I selected Bobby and Steves because they offer service discount for AAA members. I also supplied all the parts for the work. They had my car for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The final bill for just their labor was $229.64. And that was AFTER the AAA discount was applied. I called and asked what they charge an hour for labor and was told $134. When I questioned the bill I was told that they had one guy working on it the entire time and two guys working on it for a portion of the time and that the charge was accurate. I was definitely taken advantage of here. I will not be returning and will be strongly advising others to get their work done elsewhere as well.Edit: also contained within the vague invoice they provided me with was a $20+ charge for shop supplies despite me having provided everything they needed to do the job.

I have been going to these guys for 4 years now and I drive a lot for work so I frequent this shop for tune ups! They are a wonderful group. In my teen years I found that I would constantly get price gouged for car repairs and tune ups so I have always double and triple checked any price or quote that is given to me. These guys have been fair, if not better on every cost. If they make a mistake, they own up to it and do everything they can to make it right. One time after an oil change, I found some cut marks on my steering wheel, I immediately returned to them and the gentleman at the front told me to wait for a second while he checked on something. He came back and said his technician had a pocket knife in his pocket and when he sat down it scraped the wheel. I did not have to ask, but was immediately told what the plan was to get it fixed. They made all the arrangements for the new wheel and took care of everything, on my schedule, for free. Later, I had someone who ran an alignment that they had not confirmed with me, they called me up and told me that it was completed, but there would be no charge as this is not the way that they do business. Everyone always tells you to find a mechanic, plumber, and handyman that you trust - so far I have only found my mechanic and these guys are it!

**EDIT**I am beyond appreciative and surprised by the actions of Kip (operations manager) to rectify this situation. He left a note on my vehicle to call him and once I did he told me he would replace my air pump. Its not often someone will go above and beyond to take care of an issue. He surely did not have to and could have went on with business as usual. I want to say thank you again Kip! Not only will I continue to patron their location I will make it a point to go there when Im in the area. You have earned a customer for certain!My vehicle was towed (impounded) from a nearby lot of a residence my friend lives at. I did not have proper ID displayed, my fault. No big deal. They towed my locked vehicle to their unprotected lot and left it. My car was unlocked and ran thru with my air pump for my tires missing. They said they dont inventory or touch the vehicle. They dont care to lock it or protect anything. They take ZERO responsibility. The tow truck driver told me all their jacks were stolen recently. So theft is a known issue here. Still they dont care about the vehicle as it is just an income for them. And being that its impounded they could care less. How can you operate a business this way? How you can you say you take no responsibility for a vehicle YOU towed/impounded to YOUR property? Seems a bit off to me. I will NEVER give them my business ever again (I patroned their stores from time to time). Towing can be filled with shady people. This is only more proof. Take responsibility and protect others. Thats the right thing to do. I take responsibility for the events thag caused my vehicle to get towed. Anything after that however is up to those that have taken the vehicle. Bobby and Steves you should be ashamed of yourself! Do better

Went to Bobby and steve to fix my power stering fluid leakage. Informed them that the fluid was gushing out from under thé moment you put it in. They took thé van in and ran. Diagnostic for 2 hoursirs to tell me what I already told them, what so obvious. They charges me $134 and never fix thé car because it was too late to order for Part that day.I was so disappointed. If I want this kiné or service, I would have gone To a road side mechanic. Ont only they wasted 2 hours or my time, they charger me for it too.

I called Bobby and Steve’s after a rude confrontation by a manager at the Richfield Good Year! I was spoken to professionally over the phone while making my appointment, this is a busy place I’ve had tire work done here before but there was no sense to answer my question and hang up.Arriving for my appointment was an easy check in, I went up to the waiting room -instead of calling me down to the cashier someone came up to let me know my car was ready to go. Simple, easy, courteous; made up for my interaction with the other business.This was an Uber inspection over the years I have found businesses love to take our money as Uber/Lyft drivers but don’t like stopping their flow of business to squeeze us in. My inspection was originally going to be about an hour they got me in and out in 25 mins.This form is a dual inspection form I use for both Uber and Lyft which is a deal. Thanks for the cold water in my car as the work was completed nice touch!

Every time I being my car in for work I am extremely happy with the service. Everyone working there is really helpful and they are always upfront and honest about their prices. Their hours are excellent and I have never had a problem with any of their work.

Unfortunately dishonest, Accepted a tow that they could not complete properly. Dropped a disabled vehicle in the worst possible place despite repeated directions not to put it there. Upon calling to have the problem corrected the shift lead refused to send them back to move the car. Ended up calling Luther Towing who came out and had the vehicle in the right place in under 10 minutes after arrival. I am severely confused as to why AAA would continue to back an operation who does this sort of thing. Normally I would not post a review but this was something to speak up about. This is certainly a business to avoid.

I had a great experience with Bobby & Steves. I appreciate how Steve got me in the same day, figured out the problem with my car. And went picked up the part and fixed my car in the time he said. They gave me the best price. I would definitely recommend Steve to help with your car needs. The atmosphere is welcoming. And they gave me a free car wash. Garbage staff

I ran into an issue with my cars alternator and ended up on the side of 494 around midnight this past Friday. If it were not for the fast, courteous and skilled service of this towing service, my night would have been far worse. But thankfully I was helped by a very polite young man (wish I could remember your name, but you were a champ!) who just was exceptional at his job. If you are in need of roadside assistance, I would trust Bobby and Steves Auto World because they clearly care about doing quality work and making sure that you are taken care of.

Always top notch service! I am close by so they are able to pick up my keys from the front desk at work, take my car during the day to fix it up, call me to get a payment over the phone, and drop my keys back off at the front desk! AMAZING and all for a GREAT PRICE! Great customer service and great work! Cannot recommend them enough! Thank you!

I confess, I did not expect a terrific experience. It was just a flat tire, but in below-zero temperatures, it becomes a thing to overcome. I had to make an appointment, since a walk-in was out of the question because of their busy schedule, related to the holidays and lousy weather. When I showed up on the appointed day, they couldnt find my appointment, but willingly accepted the job on the spot, because of my apparently obvious disappointment. I expected a long and expensive process, but it was all over in about 90 minutes - just long enough for a relaxing breakfast at Perkins. It was inexpensive, it was fast, and it was a friendly, all-around. I could hardly believe my good fortune at picking a repair shop that was clean, friendly, efficient as well as being considerate of my time and feelings about the car-repair process. Well done! Ive got a new, go-to place for my car(s). Thanks, Bobby & Steves!
