If you need exhaust work done they are the place too go! And more the worth the wait! I need a leak fixed on my car the dealership wanted 4 grand to fix it ( they wanted to replace the whole exhaust for a little whole on a weld). BELLS fixed the leak for me for 65 dollars. Great experience! Got there in the morning with a few people ahead of me. They took me in the see the exhaust and showed me the issue as well as a second joint I didnt know was about to fail. Pricing was great and I knew what I was getting into ahead of time. It cost me less than what I was previously quoted to fix one joint to fix the whole exaust. With people in front of me in line it still only took about an hour for the whole process. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.

Just had my car repaired here and I’m very pleased with their work. I appreciated the fact that they brought me back and let me see all the places in my exhaust that needed to be fixed. There was a substantial hole in my muffler, another small hole farther up, and the exhaust pipe was completely rusted through and disconnected near the front of my car. They gave me the option to choose which parts I wanted done, but since the price was so reasonable, I opted to get it all fixed. In only 30 minutes, they had repaired everything and put on a new muffler. My car was so quiet I had to double check to make sure it was even started! I’ll definitely be returning if I have any other problems.

I loved my experience here and will do all future business with Bell’s. I was in and out in an hour, as there one was person ahead of me but service only took 30 mins. I was given the opportunity to visualize the damage to my exhaust system. When offered an option to fix the existing problems or replace the entire system..... it was a no brainer. The cost of replacement was so reasonable that I opted for that rather than take a chance on maybe having to come back in a year or two. Muffler itself comes with a lifetime warranty and pipes are warranted for 2 years. My old Nissan Frontier is now more quiet than my much newer Camry. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. The first time I was in, I was fully expecting to have to schedule a time to drop my vehicle off and leave it for a while. Not the case, they immediately put it up, diagnosed it, and had it repaired within an hour. Even brought me back to show me exactly what needed to be done. Was very impressed with their ability to make the repairs without cutting bolts that are permanently rusted on from years of road salt. The price still has yet to make me cringe yet as well, which is always a nice surprise when it comes to auto repairs. The first time is a fluke, but the second time establishes a pattern. Happy to say my second experience was very similar to the first and will keep them on my list for future work.

Never seen such a bad, miserable and rude attitude. I wanted to get my car fixed. He told me that there are four cars ahead of me. OK, no problem. I did not ask him to fix it right away. Anyway. I told him when I should come. He says “I don’t know”. Asked him: What should I do? He said “wait”. Asked him: How long? He said “I don’t know”. I asked if I can come at a specific time, he said “no”. I tried to work with him but he was rude. I cannot express here how rude he was. I had no idea about them. Maybe they are amazing at their job but they cannot treat their customers like the way I faced today. The person I talked to was extremely rude. I did not want to let him act like a god anymore but I was still polite and told him “good luck with your business”. He said “I have been here more than 30 years.” I do not care if you are good or cheap. I care about the way you treated me. I hope one day they understand that they are running JUST an exhaust shop!

Quick inexpensive exhaust repairs. Only downside is that they do not have appointments. They do a first come first serve basis and I have waited well over 2 hours for 20 minutes worth of repairs because of this.

Great people and prices

We got in expecting only an estimate as it was very near to days end. Then it was good news two-fold: They could put a new flex-pipe on and it was 3/4 LESS than I had budgeted for. Had us on tge road again in 15 minutes. Had a good laugh with the repair tech when my son started the car when it was already running. The repair made it so quiet he couldnt tell that it was already running.

These guys are really good. Today I went in with a muffler problem and dropped my vehicle off. They said they would give me a call when they take a look at it and give me an estimate. Before my ride dropped me off back at home, they called and said it would be ready in half an hour. The price was very reasonable too. We turned around and came back to their shop even before the given time and my car was ready. Incredible. They were very nice people. Highly recommend.

This is the only place Ill take my car for exhaust work. Ive been there 3 times, twice walked out the door where they just took care of loose exhaust bits and sent me out the door without paying a dime. They just did the first repair I paid for, replacing a broken part for $35. Every other exhaust shop Ive gone to in the past insists the only repair is to replace the entire exhaust system from point X all the way back. Bells is no-frills, no-BS, and super-honest.

My husband and I went to Bells Exhaust to get work done on our Jeep. We had went to Meineke yesterday 3/15/18 to get our oil changed. We asked them about our muffler and we were told we needed to have the muffler and tailpipe replaced. We waited until today to go to Bells Exhaust and we were told we only needed a muffler. Thank you so much! We appreciated you and the work you did. We were in and out in a half hour. I will highly and I mean highly recommend Bells Exhaust!

Took in our car for a new flex pipe to be installed. Called on a Monday for a quote and came in that following Wednesday. The price was very reasonable, the people were friendly, and the service was exceptionally fast! In and out in about 10-15 minutes! They did what I asked and told me of some other issues they could fix or leave if I wanted, no pressure to fix anything other than what was quoted! The quote was spot on too, so no other surprises! Well to start off. I have a little 2012 Cruze and went to my families Christmas in Kentucky. While driving down my parents mile long secluded driveway. I bottomed my little Cruze and separated the muffler from the engine pipe. I instantly went from a quiet peaceful drive to sounding like a bee farting in a pop can. When I finally made it back to Bloomington I called bells and they got me right in. They fixed it quickly and expertly. You cant find a more honest, quick, and nice mechanic or shop. Stop looking for somewhere less expensive, and dont pretend your uncle or car person would do it differently. This is as good as it gets and it deserves every penny.

My exhaust pipe, muffler, and tail pipe - everything behind the catalytic converter - fell off due to rust on my old Toyota. The guys at Bells replaced everything behind the converter for under $150. If Id taken it to the dealership Id have paid at least twice as much for Toyota parts; these guys can use good aftermarket parts and achieve the same (or better) results for a great price. They also had it done the same day. Only downside is they dont have secure after-hours dropoff option, so you have to go during business hours. But if you need exhaust work, including converters, come here.

My mechanic at AutoChoice Service Center, Inc. (also great) in Bloomington recommended I visit Bells Exhaust for my exhaust system needs. It was a great recommendation. The folks at Bells Exhaust knew exactly what was wrong with my 1998 Subaru Outback, scheduled me in on a Saturday, and fixed it promptly within 2 hrs for a reasonable cost. I highly recommend Bells Exhaust. If you have a Subaru (or probably any car) theyll know just what to do. Thank you Tom and all for your help.

Stopped in due to muffler rattling on rear of my car. Mechanic got it in garage after about 20 minute wait and raised car on a lift. He advised I needed a muffler replaced but they didn’t have it in stock. He stated he would have to order it and it would probably take a couple of days but should be in by Monday. Mechanic was to call me to schedule repairs once the parts came in.After a couple of weeks I never received a call back. I called the shop and they said to just bring it in, that they had the muffler and would get right on it. After the call I drove to the shop. Waiting over an hour, my car was still not even taken into the garage or started on. I gave up waiting and left the business.

I brought my vehicle in for a slight problem that I wanted to be sure wouldnt get worse, and they said it was a minor issue and wouldnt need attention. They could have sold me a new muffler but didnt, and didnt even charge me to take a look. Several people I know have recommended them for their honesty. Im sold! Their waiting room is minimal, like someone said, but I didnt go there for the ambience. Heh. Would recommend.

My mechanic at Advanced Auto discovered I had an exhaust leak on my 13 year old Subaru Forester, so he recommended I take it to Bells Exhaust to have it repaired. I took it in just after 8am, and they looked at it right away. Brian, the owner, brought me into the garage and showed me exactly what the problem was, and what he recommended to repair it. Everything was completed in less than 30 minutes. The cost was very reasonable, and now the car sounds like new! I was so pleased with the service, and them taking the time to show and explain everything. I highly recommend this place!I ranked Appeal as good because I do agree with another reviewer that the waiting room could be nicer, but I didnt mind too much given how awesome their work and service was.

Went to check and see what my car needed and it only took 5 mins from the time I walked in the door until it was on the lift and diagnosed. He told me what it needed and said it would take 15 mins. Was in and out in 20 mins total. Didn’t overcharge me. I highly recommend!

I had never been to this shop before, but we will be back!! I took my sons truck in because I was concerned there was a leak in the exhaust system. Sure enough there was. Within 30 minutes we were on the road again. They were very fair on pricing and were very good at explaining where the problem was and how they were going to fix the problem. Ive taken my car to the Bloomington Sears twice - once for brakes and once for a new starter - and the workmanship was very poor both times. So, when I needed to have my heat shield repaired I was very unsure where to look. After calling around town, a business referred me to Bells Exhaust and with the favorable reviews here I decided to check it out. Im very glad I did - while the building is rough around the edges, the staff is knowledgable and courteous and the prices are fantastic. I didnt call ahead when I went in and they had me taken care of and out the door within 20 minutes. One word of caution to would-be customers: its somewhat back off of 3rd street and a little hard to find, so definitely scope it out with the areal view from Google Maps before you go.

Brought in a used 96 Camry I had just gotten. Sounded bad, and I assumed I was looking at hundreds of dollars and would have schedule an appointment and miss work, etc. Walked right in. Free estimate done in a matter of minutes and work completed in less than an hour for an incredibly good price. I miss the days when every shop worked this way, but I am very glad this one exists.

Absolutely awesome. This is the best car service I have ever experienced by far, period; friendly, honest, fast, quality work and at a low price.I arrived on a weekday morning at 10:00 am because I called ahead and was told it is walk-in service without appointments and that they are very busy from about 11:00 am to 1:00 on weekdays. There was no wait, they put the car up on the lift immediately. I was invited under the lift to be shown where the leak was, it was the resonator. Its evident that was indeed the problem because I could feel the exhaust blowing out of it. They quoted a price right there and then to replace it, $65.00 installed. I was also asked if I wanted them to replace a joint with a rotting gasket for $20.00 more which was not yet leaking, so I went for it.You can stand there and watch them work . (Dont watch the welding though, the high-intensity light can damage your eyes.) It took about 20 minutes. Then after they are done they asked if I wanted to go under the lift to inspect the work they had done.Nothing guarantees honesty like that degree of transparency; They show you the problem, you watch them fix it, then you inspect the work.One of the other reviews said that the place was filthy. Ya, the bathroom is not that clean and the waiting room is dingy. The TV is so old and dim its useless. So if you are they type of person who selects a service shop according to the beauty and comfort of the waiting rooms instead of the quality, speed and price of the service then Bells is not for you. Or it is, just Uber or Lyft to someplace you wold rather be, such as shopping or restaurants, if you dont want to stick around for the service. You will still save more by doing that and going to Bells.Before my care roared and it is super quiet now. I could not be more pleased.

I second everyone elses reviews here. I had visions of $500 or more to fix my 2001 Accord, which sounded like a Harley after bottoming out on a backcountry road. My long-time Honda mechanic recommended Bells. It cost $37, and I was in and out in 20 minutes.

I have been to Bell twice and the only other exhaust shop in bloomington once. Big projects each time, involving lots of customization for my acura rsxI can honestly and safely conclude that, if you doing any fabrication or customization, Bell is the place to go. For quality of work (primary), cost (secondary) and efficiency (tertiary)I plan on going back sometime for measuring pipe length and angles in order to purchase mandrel bended tubes online. will see how that goes

There was nothing to like. The whole place is filthy. Rude customer service. Had to take my truck back 5 time to just get my exhaust fix. Very unprofessional. Had the store manager yelling at me also fellow employees. Shouldnt customers come first no matter what business u have.
