If you’re looking for a haircut here, I’d advise you to go to some place else. The price I paid ($75) did not match the quality of service I received. I made an appointment for a haircut & the lady who did my hair was Lauren. I had shown her some pictures of what I wanted, which was face framing layers in the front and curtain bangs & a trim in the back. I had long healthy hair before I came here and unfortunately I didn’t receive anything I wanted. If she didn’t feel capable of doing what I wanted with my hair, I wish she could of just said that instead of giving me a choppy, uneven haircut. My bangs were uneven, didn’t blend with the rest of my hair and stuck out like a sore thumb. The back was also choppy as well and it looked like she didn’t even try. I had no time to go back and ask for a recut because I had work the next hour and to be honest, I don’t want to go back since I don’t think I would ever trust anyone there to do my hair again. I even tipped her $15 because I thought she did a better job and I thought the back was even but upon closer inspection, all I saw was basically a bob cut in the front, barely any curtain bangs and choppy uneven hair in the back when I went home. you can see in the picture, that’s literally all she cut for $75… + a $15 dollar tip in cash. If she had just told me she wasn’t able to do what I wanted, I wouldn’t have been upset. I rather go to someone who is trained well enough to do my hair. I went to this salon fully knowing of the price, and I expected the quality to match but it disappointed me greatly.I did receive a refund of $75 when I called and let them know my situation but the guy on the phone seemed angry at me? I believe his name was Simon? I usually never call and complain anywhere but this haircut was god awful. I was being very respectful and he treated me like my haircut was MY fault. I already felt awful about my haircut and his customer service left me feeling worse.

I had come in to get my hair cut and had the BEST experience ever with Tanner! He was so fun to talk to and he even styled my hair so nicely after. It turned out exactly like, if not, better than the picture I showed him! I have never been one to leave reviews, but this was much needed! I will be sticking to him every time I need a haircut from now on!!

Last haircut I had must have must have been with a newbie. She ended up cutting the back of my neck with her sharp scissors. The pain only increased shortly after my haircut after I paid and left. Friends suggested I call and demand my money back. I didnt want to go that far and have her possibly lose her job. Didnt want to be a Karen. I just wont ever return.

I saw Diana for a haircut/style & Zelda for a half leg wax. Everything was great!!! Diana is very knowledgeable and took time and care when using and recommending products! Zelda was so sweet & used her knowledge to inform me on some tips for my dry/sensitive skin. this salon is full of friendly, kind & talented beauty pros. if you come here, you’re in good hands from the front desk, to your technician :) thanks so much for a great experience!

I see Pilar for massages and she is amazing. She has the best energy and can give a bomb massages. I’ve seen someone else for eyebrow waxing and she did an amazing job since my eyebrow lady go 3 years quit another place. Will have to find out her name. Amazing location

Very ghetto would not recommend no AC or clean stations insects and creatures running around everywhere they have fans blowing in the salon to keep you cool but charge 200+ For hair colors and style carpets and floors are filthy counters are dusty and the managers are SO lazy! Save your money great clips is better then this dump!

Loved my pedicure! Shiba was wonderful. I felt perfectly pampered. And the manager came around and gave brochures out about all of their services. Very nice. And everyone at the front desk was very friendly.Going back for another pedicure and and manicure in a couple of weeks!

I had great experience with Bloomingdale branch. I am from England and in England we have high standards of fashion and Hair do. I was having a lot trouble maintaining my Hair in Chicago due to extreme weather conditions and water but Tricoci met all my need and requirements and result was fabulous. Thank you both, hairstylist and hair color expert. They know what they are doing .

I first came for a hair consultation with a colorist looking to get an ash blond balayage. She informed that since my hair is naturally very dark, it would take at least 3 appointments and that the price would be 255. She never specified that it was 255 PER appointment until after I did the first appointment. I have had friends get similar work done for around 250 so to find out the total cost if I were to do all 3 appointments would be over 750 was insane to me.I was told the appointment would be around 2 hours and I do have thick hair so I was prepared to stay longer but it ended up being 5+ hours and she did a very poor job (outdoor pic). There was no blending whatsoever and I had to come back again and see a different colorist to have it fixed. The second colorist did blend it better (indoor pic) but I will not be coming back here.

The experience started off rough because the receptionist came outside to start telling me to not forget my mask. I had it but I still had time until my appointment and wasn’t about to come in yet. He was very rude and I started to cancel my appointment right then. The nail tech was nice but not friendly barely answering my questions with basic responses. The manicure was fine but nothing to brag about. I won’t be returning.

Went here to get a haircut by Kara and showed her a picture of long layers in the back how I wanted it cut mind you the day before I just had my hair highlights and all over color and by the time I left Kara cut out most of my highlights and I never seen the back of my hair until I got home and my friend said OMG your hair is so messed up in the back mind you I also asked for an angle in the front and got a hack job. Needless to say I called the manager they were super nice and Sabina fixed what she could and also the manager called Oakbrook location where I got my hair highlights from and they are going to fix that as well. So 5 stars on the way the Manager handled it. 2 stars for Kara.

Had my eyebrows done here. I was looking for someone to just tweeze them so they dont get over plucked and maintain their shapeI was able to make the appt last minute. They are very nice and professional and did a great job. I hope this will be my regular eyebrow place.

Aubrey has cut my hair three times now and I like that she is meticulous which I like as I am also . I am picky on who cuts my hair as I feel no one actually gets it right. She is good.

Wonderful place to get a haircut.

I had received a Foilyage from this location from a nice women. The overall process was nice and she did a good job but for some reason they closed at 5pm and told me to blowdry my own hair. I don’t know if I need to pay extra for someone to finish the process but never once I have been to a salon that left me outside with damp hair. It was very upsetting and felt horrible not having a fresh hairdo.

My favorite Mario site. The front desk is always friendly and helpful. Erica for hair color is excellent, but shes not the only one. Multiple great options. Marzena (SP?) for pedicures. Clean, friendly and always pleasant.

Tanner did such an amazing job with my hair. He is cooperative & listens to exactly what you want. He spends good amount of time on your hair & makes sure youre satisfied with the final look. 10/10 recommend him for a haircut especially if you have thick hair!

I would not recommend going here to dye your hair. They messed up my appointment twice. When I was able to make it in, I dont feel like the colorist listened to what I wanted at all. She didnt blend it at all so my hair is currently splotchy and multiple different colors. I moved the next day so there wasnt much I could do about it, but I wouldnt go back if I hadnt moved either.

I have been coming to this location for years with a specific stylist. I made an appointment at one o’clock for a hair cut and style. They called me an hour before my appointment to tell me my stylist, who cancels on my more than I’d like, that she was having transportation issues and will be in late, so they moved me back to 5 to be with her. They told me on the phone they weren’t positive if she was going to be in but she should be in, and I said okay let’s make the appointment. They said that if she wasn’t going to be in they were going to call me and let me know so I could reschedule. I get to my appointment at 5, and they tell me my stylist isn’t here. I waited all day for a specific stylist just for me to get here and have them tell me she’s not here. When you have a consistent stylist, it’s sometimes hard to let someone else cut your hair! A call before I got here would’ve been nice because then I could’ve rescheduled and not wasted my entire day waiting around. Very upset and disappointed!!!!

Went there today, a few min after 8 am, hoping for a walk in visit. They said some lady, dont remember the name can take me at 8.30. I looked around and saw bunch of hair stylists sitting and chit-chating. No clients there yet. I needed a haircut, just a simple haircut, no wash no style. They said they do whole package. They said the service for package is 60 something $. I said I would like just a haircut, not even dry after it. The guy said, well we can do it but u would have to pay for a full package, cut, wash, blow dry and style. I passed and walked out.So they would rather do nothing then do a simple 10 min service and still make some money?Oh well, first time checked on that place, and definitely last time. I do not recommend, fancy nice place, but obviously they dont care about getting new clients. ..

Got my hair done here for my wedding. I was told to wait for the appointment I made, which had me sitting in the waiting area for 20 minutes. When I finally sat in the stylist chair I was rushed through the entire process. The older, short lady who did my hair created a pretty sloppy up do. She was done in 15 minutes. Nothing decent with hair is done in 15 minutes. It was really disappointing and Ill never go back nor would I ever recommend someone going here.

First time I have ever had a pedicure and it was wonderful! Kenya was very skilled and a lot of fun. I will definitely go back when Im visiting my sister

Nice environment but I didnt think much of the blowout styling I got. Was already drooping after an hour and wasnt that great to begin with. My regular stylist does a much better job and his styles still look amazing after a couple days.

I LOVE this place. Ive gone here (and only here) for my hair cut and color for at least 6 years. Aubrey does my cut and Amanda does my color. I adore both of them! Ive also used their spa services (massage, eyebrows, pedicure) and have never left disappointed. I highly recommend them if youre looking for quality! I firmly believe you get what you pay for and I TRUST them with my hair.

Okay so let me start this off by saying that I got a beautiful hair dye and cut before - however the total came out to 360$... so I tried to get my hair done at a place in Utah (where I live) and they botched my hair so I figured I could trust Mario. However - he let me down - 200$ later I look like a woman from a 90’s sitcom, tiger stripes and all WHEN I specifically said three of four times I wanted the dye to be natural. On top of that, the lady that did my hair did not get to the root so my dye job looks 4-6 months grown out, in conclusion my hair is completely BOTCHED. Go save some money and go to swerve instead.

Went in on Feb 17th for highlights and cut before leaving for Indiana then Arizona. Hadnt had my hair lighted in over 2 years so, was pretty excited. Looked great when I left shop. Smooth and soft. Once I washed it I could not even get my fingers through it. I gave been putting deep conditioners on it and spraying oil in it in order to get comb through it after being washed. Oh, and how exciting when one of my employees asked me why i died my hair grey? Needless to say I am flying back to Illinois and am going to cut my hair short, and try and have color fixed. Never again go here for cut or highlights!

I added a pic showing how my hair was butchered. The review shouldnt reflect the salon so much as the stylist, although Im shocked that they hired this girl in the first place. I should have just put on a blindfold and cut it myself!The only reason its not one star is because they let me schedule a free recut, but even then they set it up with another newbie stylist and its not free when you take a tip into consideration.

After a year of no haircuts, I finally went to MT and booked a haircut and deep conditioning treatment. Since I was not referred to any particular stylist, I was set up with Genelle, who turned out to be wonderful! Not only was she very friendly, informative and transparent, she definitely listened. She was the first stylist in a long time who left me feeling super happy with my cut. Thanks again Genelle!!

Everyone is great at what they do. Chris for color, Maryann for a cut. And if you really want a treat, see Eva for a facial. You will feel like queen for a day. If you are feeling a little stressed, Beth will loosen you up with a relaxing massage.

So often especially for men hair stylist / barbers dont want to do a haircut twice and arent willing to see how things go . So great overall expierence .

I got a haircut at this location about a month ago and it was an okay experience. I liked that they had me in and out in less than 45 minutes, but it did seem a little rushed. I have always gone to Ulta for my haircuts but I decided to try Mario Tricoci after someone recommended it to me and I felt like it was a downgrade from the experience I get at Ulta because I didnt feel as pampered and it felt as though everything was rushed. I like that at Mario Tricoci they dont use a lot of products in your hair BUT they didnt use ANY products including no heat protectant spray prior to blow drying my hair..... which is weird because why wouldnt they want to protect your hair from blowdryer heat. I also wanted a hair mask but the person who cut my hair completely forgot about it and I had to ask her if she was going to do it but she said it completely slipped her mind which is fine and she said she wouldnt charge me for it but she didnt even tell the cashier to take it off my bill I had to tell them myself. Overall it was an okay experience, but I think Ill stick to Ulta from now on because I like that they take their time and pamper you and it is 25 dollars cheaper than Mario Tricoci.

Worst haircut ever with Genelle at Bloomingdale location. Didnt follow the length I wanted which was chin length. She cut it jaw length instead. Too short for what I wanted. The cut was too boring. Way too far from the pic.I showed her. And she was blaming it on the color of my hair. I think she was too in a hurry. She didnt even bother to help me brush off the hairs on my clothes and back. I was so disappointed bec.I was going to M.T for years before I moved to California and was excited to have a haircut with M.T while visiting Chicago. My hair stylist before was Nicole but I cant remember her name when I booked for scheduling so I asked them to give me someone who is really good and has a lot of experience like a senior stylist and so they gave me Genelle. I dont mind paying more if its professionally done but oh my! Everyone in my family was trasing me bec.of the bad haircut. One of my family member asked me if I had it done at supercut. So disappointing.

I think its terrible that no one is ever available for an after color blow dry. Any other salon I go to for a color they wash and blow dry me. At this salon they wonr because they r all senior stylist .. I think thats snobby and not ok..I will b goimg elsewhere for color from now on where they can blow dry me after ... this place hands you a brush and you have to do it yourself so weird ! And I am willing to pay for the service but they have to have junior stylist available but they r never there only seniors weird !

Worst haircut ever.... I don’t understand how these people can get away with overpriced hair cutting when they do a terrible job and when you go back to the salon to get a -recut- the person who tries to fix it also leaves it shorter on one side. I asked Kara the stylist in the Bloomingdale location to give me an all around trim on my bob cut, she gave me three different cuts in one! I’ll explain, she gave me layers on the back, a length on the left side and another length on the right side. She asked me to let he blow dry my hair curly which I accepted, she then made a few curls with her curling iron, but the day that I decided to make my hair straight I could see a huge disconnect from all the different haircuts that I had on my head. Honestly I had never had such a bad hair cut. When I went to show them at the salon I could pull my different lengths and point out how bad the haircut was, the manager at the salon had no words when I would show her the bad hair. The only thing they offer instead of a refund is to have someone else -recut it- the lady tried her best to fix the mess that Kara at the Bloomingdale location made, but in her attempt she left it shorter on one side. Honestly I would probably get a better cut at a hair school. Not worth spending $50 dollars to get a bad cut twice within a week. I would have preferred a refund, but they give you no option they only recut it.

The colorist that did my daughters hair left the bleach on so long that her long beautiful hair is now broken off short and damaged heavily. Alayna needs to have her license revoked. I wouldnt recommend this service to anyone. Very angry.

Charlie (colorist) and Isabella (stylist) are great! I walked in with crazy colors in my hair and a really bad haircut. Isabella fixed my miscut hair and Charlie got me from crazy pink/purple with a red base to blonde in 1 (6 hour) appointment. She worked to get me blonde properly while causing as little damage to my hair as possible. They both worked miracles on me and at an affordable price compared to how expensive people say Mario is.
