I love pf in Bloomingdale. The sweet girl named Jamie who works over nights is amazing! Hard working and super friendly. She has great customer service. She works super hard and always keeps the place spotless! She takes such pride in her work and i believe this hard working woman deserves a raise!!!!!

This place is pretty run down. Almost all their benches have holes in the material covering the foam. Their adjustable benches have exposed metal that you feel as you lay down on them. The owner or llc that owns this planet fitness really needs to spend some money and update this gym with modern equipment and BENCHES. Two stars cause its close to my hotel.

Cant go wrong with this gym if youre looking for a cheap place to work out. They have a ton of ellipticals, treadmills, and weights. I wish they had more stair machines though because they are always busy. Locker rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Billing is done through bank accounts which is really annoying but other than that, Im happy coming here.

This guy name ”Octavio cuazitl” was super rude to me for no reason. I tried asking if he was having a bad day and he said no, i tried telling him he was rude to me, and he responded and I quote ” I dont care, you can go online and make a complaint”. I coudn’t believe my ears. And that is exactly what I’m doing, this type of behavior is disgusting. If he is not happy with his job he should quit it. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

I have been a member for a few years and always paid on time on auto pay with the same creditcard. Recently I received a $15 charge on my creditcard when I called to speak with someone regarding the charge they said it was a late fee? I was confused because I was never late and the payment was taken out on time. When I asked to speak with the manager, the manger would not speak to me and just spoke over the employee & would not give a reasonable explanation to this charge.

This is by far the worst gym I have ever visited and after being humiliated and harassed by the manager Richard I am certain I won’t ever be coming back to planet fitness. Someone really needs to talk to this manager he even said he was the district manager but after seeing his name tag he admitted he wasn’t.This location is not the location to go to. I was testing out planet fitness with my friends black card when the manager had us stop and told us we had an outstanding balance, we assured him we had had this issue resolved at a different location. Some time went by and the manager Richard for the bloomingdale location came to my friend and I with a raised voice so that everyone in the stretching room could hear and told us we had to either leave the gym or finish our workout and never come back. He said he had called and they told him no one had ever called before and that we hadn’t visited the gym in months. He told us that since we had lied to him we had those two options. He stepped on my integrity, harassed us, and humiliated us to the point were we just wanted to leave “a judgment free zone” I think this could’ve easily been resolved if he pulled us to the side to speak but he did it so everyone at a busy time could hear him. We had solved the outstanding balance issue on Thursday April 8, 2021 and have proof that we were at different gyms with no issue.If someone could please contact me, I don’t think anyone should ever be treated this way specially without knowing the entire story.Thanks,Dani

I find it interesting that there are several complaints from members about people not wearing masks. I have found the opposite experience where there is too much in the enforcement of wearing masks. I have recently canceled my subscribed because I dont appreciate being called out for my mask just slipping below my nose while in the midst of running in the tone it was received. To all of the members that are worried about people not wearing masks, its simple, just dont go if you dont feel safe. The spacing is adequate and I believe the staff is trying to keep the place clean, but that is also up to the members to clean up after themselves as well. I would consider coming back if it wasnt like I being watched like a hawk if my mask falls a little.

Run as fast as you can I cancel my contract and they still charge me 39 dollars for the quarter I had to cancel again and spoke to a guy named Caesar the guy is garage he send in a paper to my bank chase and told them that I came in on the July 11 which it was a lies so am trying to fit this issue today I spoke to a guy named Dan a manager here told me that he was going to look into and get back to me will see what happens

Good fitness, they have more machines than the Addison location and it’s also a bit bigger. I liked the Addison location when I first started, because it’s smaller but it can get crowded, whereas this one will always have space for everyone. The staff is friendly, my first day there they showed me around and answered all my questions :)

Nice gym, clean, plenty of equipments. My only complaint was their lack of customer service at night. It was past midnight and I had a question on my way out but I couldnt find anyone at the desk because they were too busy eating their food on the massaging chair. These women saw me waiting for a few minutes, but instead of getting up to help me they continued eating. I thought if there is no one manning the service desk, only one of you should go on break or have the decency to get up and help your customer?!!

REALLY great staff! I accidentally made a mistake with my membership, totally my fault, & the corrected MY mistake for me! I’m actually SHOCKED. Every other gym i’ve ever belonged to has made things very difficult. Thank you to Richard (manager) who went out of his way to help me, it seriously meant a lot to us in these difficult times!! Great location so glad they opened back up the staff here is great and helpful. I recently changed to this location and Matt helped me out and made the process so easy. I highly recommend coming to this location.

No enforcement of mask wearing. Plus the facility was filthy compared to other facilities for example in Waukesha WI.

Perfect to get the job done. Most people are being safe during this time, but there are a few that dont care. Just wear your mask and protect yourself!

Highly dissapointing that theyre supposed to be open at 05:00, I show up at 5:25 and theyre closed. I try to enjoy my workout before going in to work at 07:00 but this just ruined it.

The gym is never open on time. The openers are almost always late. We pay to have this time to come and I unfortunately don’t have the luxury of waiting an hour for the people to open. I understand new hours, but this happens on a daily basis.

If you are looking for a gym that you can go in do your thing and leave without being bothered. This is the place. Some gyms offer more amenities but would you use them? For $10 a month I can use all their equipment in a clean peaceful environment. There are always staff to help if needed. The 30 minute circuit is a full body quick program. What more can you ask for at $10 a month. If you want tanning beds or massages thats offered unlimited for an extra $13 a month but thats not my thing.

Well, what can I say! I love it but Im not going right now because of COVID! Its great of them that you can freeze your membership for 3 months. And then well see! Hopefully!!

I tried to cancel my account because I tested positive for covid 19. They wanted to charge me $59 to cancel so I decided I will just keep coming back!

There needs to be pull-up and dip bars installed, different from that already on the machines you have.

Becareful when you get charge ****When covid started they close down and i call and cancelled my two account same day may 12th and they keep changing 1 account i even called twice and told them why charges me and said o sorry we will now and refund whatever was not use. But instead refund keep charge me and 4th time call cancel now but no refund . Rip off place

No mask mandate in place. No proper distancing between machines. Filthy bathrooms and the male manager arrogant and dismissive of members. He is seen eating and talking to people without masks. It’s this reckless behavior that has not been able to get things under control.

Extremely disappointed in this place. Last time I was there I had to clean all the equipment myself because noone else was. Been going here for years and they charged me an annual fee for the upcoming year after I had canceled my membership due to their noncompliance with CDC guidelines and after theyve been closed for half of the year. I tried to get a partial refund and was told sorry, but no thats our policy. If your policy is to rip people off I see why this company is losing money rapidly. Poor customer service. No real leadership or management that cares about their customers. I asked if I could contact the owner and the manager said to take it up with corporate and I am not allowed to contact the owner. Corporate says because it is a franchise the owner is the only one that can solve my issue. Ill be taking my buisness elsewhere and posting my horrible experience on every review I can.

Equipment is good, could use some new ropes for the cable machines. The locker rooms seem fine with the exception of the showers. Water pressure is poor, the shower knobs themselves are loose which makes it difficult to set the water temperature, and the shower heads are plain garbage. Also, the only place for you to set your soap is an old hanging wire shower caddy, which Ive seen gum stuck to. If you plan to workout here I hope you live close so you can shower at home, or just go to the Addison location.Edit: As a response to the owners response. Feel free to let YOUR management know about concerns posted on reviews. Seems kind of lazy to just go oh you do it thanks have a nice day. So you can go ahead and feel free to contact your management with regards to cleanliness in your facilities. Apparently laziness is a problem from the top down.

Everything so far is great except the hours. Need to open earlier than 6 during the week and really need to open earlier on weekends.

This planet fitness is open 24 hours! I have been going since it opened! For the most part it’s clean and staff are friendly! Does get a bit dirty during peak times. Some of their machines are in need of service. For $10-20 per month it’s worth it!

I love planet fitness.It’s huge, there’s never a wait for equipment. It’s clean and friendly. It truly is no judgement zone. Locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean. Bring your own lock. Really a great place to workout and i love that it’s 24/7, and the black card membership is worth it so I can go to any location. Great deal for $20 a month. 👍👍

I had bad experience for canceled my membership so I was asked her did you change me she says no and then after 3 days they change me I was called him and asked way did you change me she say we have policies so this is my last and first visit.

Staff is pretty nice, for the most part, Dont expect to have equipment repaired any time soon. Some equipment had/has been broken for months. Owner doesnt want to pay for repairs. Is it worth ten bucks? Yes. Is it best place for lifting? Not really. We struggle to workout with the little free weights that is offered.

Low member fees, no contracts, plenty of equipment, and a 30 fitness set for those who want to hit a workout and head out. Online work-ins are available through the app, though PF is promoting social fitnessing and being cleansiderate of others on site.

It clearly says you have to wear a mask while inside and nobody wears a mask. Nobody enforcing mask wearing. Cant even follow your own rules. Id give a 0 if I could.

The reviews scared me, but I have had nothing but good experiences here. Im not a seasoned fitness person, so its great for a beginner! All of the machines have directions on them so you know how to work them and if you cant figure it out, the staff are friendly and explain it to you. I havent had any problem with the cleanliness of the facility, it has always been clean when Ive been there. The staff are also very friendly!

I have been a member for about a year and a half. I used to really like it. I was routinely greeted when I came in and on the way out. Now, I am rarely greeted. Sometimes, the person at the desk will be on her phone and I have to scan myself in.Planet Fitness charges more money once a year. It was my understanding that the money was used to fix the machines. That’s what happened last year. This year, though, none of the machines were fixed. Two of the four stationary bikes don’t work well. At least 7 of the treadmills are out of order.Was the business sold recently? Can I transfer my membership to a different location?

The staff are kind and courteous! They try to keep up cleaning, checking in patrons etc... The amount of foot traffic that comes and goes is high . So kudos to the staff for the valiant effort GREAT JOB MEN & Women who work here ! Your efforts dont go UNNOTICED!

Lowering my review to 1 star. I have been trying to cancel my membership and I cant. I went to another planet fitness who told me to go to the old one (this location to cancel it). I come here and they tell me their phones and wifi is broken so they cant cancel. They say they will call me the next day...I never got a call. I tried calling them every day this week and I cant get ahold of anyone. I cant keep driving to their location over an hour away to cancel my membership. I would SERIOUSLY recommending looking elsewhere if you are looking for a gym. I thought it was going to be fine too after reading some of the reviews...but it is seriously BAD.

Been coming here since the place opened. It is my jam and I love my PFC! Everybody that works there that I have met is always friendly and respectful. Not the biggest place, but it has everything you need to get a good workout in and it is open 24 hours a day(excluding certain holidays). I do also wish there was free weights. Not a PF thing, though.All I know is that the facility has enough to get a full body workout done. It worked for me. It can work for you, too!

Charter fitness is better and they dont require checking account information

For those paying full membership and expecting to take advantage of the perks, call ahead to make sure machines are working. Other than that, as of this year, service is great. Shout out to April (I think that’s their name), who showed me around, and was honest and eager to answer any questions!

In response to managements comment on my review - I called the customer service number 1.5 weeks ago about my concerns prior to posting a review online. I was told I would get a call back in 3 days and I have not gotten any call back since then. Again - poor management.Editing my review to 2 stars from 3. I am inclined to make it a 1 star. Staff is friendly, that is not the problem. The issue is that the facility is continuing to fall apart. Rather than fixing machines, they get taken away after over a month of being out of order. For example, one of the Ab Coasters was out of order for almost 2 months, then one day, it just disappeared. Now there is only 1. The water fountain has been out of order for a week, and they are asking customers to pay for water bottles. Prior to the water fountain breaking, the water fountain ran continuously for 2 full months. It should have been fixed at this point, but it seems like it was just let go. There is dust under and around machines and buckets are catching water from the ceiling during the rain. This is a very, very poorly maintained gym. Also, they have stopped doing the pizza. Not that this impacts me, but it speaks about the care that goes into maintaining this gym.Ive been going here for 2 years and its a good gym for the money with a friendly staff. Wait for machines generally arent bad and for $10/20 a month, a 24 hour gym is phenomenal. I give it 3 stars because the facility itself is starting to fall apart. There are roof leaks just about everywhere when it rains (and stains everywhere) and when something is out of service like a machine or toilet, it seems to stay out of service for a month before it is fixed. I dont think this is a staff issue as the staff is friendly and usually knows about problems around the facility.

Everyone at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful! My two friends and I were offered a training session with Fernando. Being older than most of the guests there, we were a little nervous at first but Fernando made it a great experience. He made us feel all very comfortable and confident. Thank you for the encouragement we needed and we will definitely be going back!

I love coming to this gym, friendly employees and clean equipment. However, there always seems to be groups of kids sitting on their phones on equipment or gathering around groups of machines goofing off and talking. I just wish staff would be a bit more diligent about asking people to move around or to the locker room as the rest of us are trying to use machines and complete our workouts. I find myself having to workout around kids standing around the bench presses or in between the aisles. Other than that, I love this location!

If you love yourself do yourself a favor. GO TO A REAL GYM!!!!This place doesnt have half the equipment other places have AND their treadmills are always broken AND its always filled with people duped by their low prices. Really if youre paying 20 plus other fees its closer to the bigger and better gyms and even community centers have better equipment.Go to your local community center for a better price and better equipment or Xsport for a lower price or Anytime Fitness or Lifetime. ANY gym is better than this place

I have been coming to this gym regularly for over a year now almost every morning. I can not count how many times the hydromassage tables have been in operable. It is comical at this point. I pay for the black card and was under the assumption that I would have access to the tables whenever I showed up. Months ago I recall one employee explaining that the owner really didnt care if the tables worked when inquired as to why they were inoperable for such a long period of time.Perhaps it is just a sign of the times that employees and owners have little concern for solving problems in their businesses. I visited the gym this morning and was assigned a table but again it did not work. So I went back up front to ask for the other table. The employee went to check and sure enough both were unable to function. So I was told they both dont work and thats it. No real attempt to solve the problem. Just a quick answer and a shrug.It is amazing. Truly amazing that more training is not provided to these employees especially when this is such a reoccurring problem. Hopefully something will change.

I have been going a month. Its 5 minutes down the road. I love the workout atmosphere. Friendly staff as well as fellow gym goers. I would love them to better keep up on machine repair. Need better management of 30 minute workout area.

I joined this gym with the Black Card about two years ago. It was okay at first, but it has truly been ravaged. I would say a good quarter or third of all the machines there are broken and have been broken for months. The filter on the water fountain has needed changing for over a month now. There have been broken lockers since I joined the gym. And it just seems like the staff doesn’t care.I injured myself on a broken machine that was unmarked maybe seven months ago? It is STILL broken and there is no sign that it’s broken.I’m glad I have the black card so I can go to other locations and see the DRAMATIC difference in maintenance. It’s like the manager of this location just doesn’t care. It’s really sad.

Showrooms are very small, it’s hard to move your hands around. Water pressure is weak and design is bad. Told manager staff and others who work in the front that men room don’t have hair dryer and they kept saying ok we will take care of it and it’s been 2-3 weeks still the same case.

This is planet fitness is clear example of what your gym shouldn’t be. I mean if you are. A member then try going to one on Geneva st. That’s like Ferrari of planet fitness.

Your standard gym place. Nothing unique about it. You go. Work it out and leave. The bathroom has always been in acceptable conditions, which is nice. Only thing is that while some attendants are polite and welcoming, there are some that lack the ability to at least pretend that they care about the guest.

Literally nobody has a mask on. Literally. No. One.

Love the staff! Connor and Michelle always greet with a smile. All are very helpful and try to keep the location clean. The only suggestion would be for the owners to make sure things that are worn or break from use get fixed right away otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

The gym part is good, the price is great. Staff is friendly the reason for my 2 star review is because I signed up for a class with their trainer via internet, I received an email confirming my session with the trainer. I showed up to the gym and waited for 10 minutes until IDecided to ask what was going on if she was going to show up or not. The guy at the front told me we dont have a personal trainer here, we havent had one for awhile so I showed him my email and he was surprised and said thats the problem with our management, they need to update that, the trainer has been gone for awhile now. I signed up for the class the same day so I highly doubt a big change like this happened that same day. It was a 6am class.

Facility was shut-downWhen the facility opened it was all great. As it has aged repairs have not been made to basic wear and tear items. Now it is not cleaned and the showers are disgusting. People have stopped showering at the facility.If any Manager or Regional Manager has ever been their, they dont care or have no capacity to address basic needs. I am now looking into what other clubs are available.

Can I go get a subscription any time its open?

I have been to nearly 100 planet fitness locations around the country. Cleanliness varies. At this location there has been a wad of gum in plain sight on the shower floor for over a week. (The shower next to the handicapped shower). Wear bread bags on your feet people! Doesnt seem they ever clean the showers. Nor do i think they change out the shower curtains for cleaning at their planned schedule.I went to one recently for a couple weeks with showers that were maintained multiple times during the day and that had a desk guy who thoroughly cleaned the locker rooms/showers/etc every night. They all should have a guy like that even if the pay needs to be higher to attract and keep such a committed employee.

Really clean location and minimal sexual activity in the locker rooms unlike other Planet Fitness I have visited around the Country. The staff here is extremely helpful and courteous. All of the equipment is always clean and functioning!

Friendly staff and they have some new cardio machines. The only downside is that the location is a bit small but it is worth the money for a 24 hour gym.

This place and management sucks. I canceled after paying my dues a year ago they over charged me even when I had proof I paid by 80 bucks. I come to rejoin Monday no problem no issues. Today I come to work out to be told Im overdue by 365 days!!?? Seriously we are at this yet again. All they keep saying is the manager will call me I been told this many many times already.

Gym is too small, the weights have a max weight of 70lbs or something, definitely caters to women, or men who are not strong at all. I was a Planet Fitness member for years but this gym caused me to cancel my membership. I will rejoin some other time when I’m closer to a “normal” Planet Fitness.

Ive been a black card member for a couple of years now. The turnover rate on trainers and staff is just ridiculous-- thats why the 1star! Lack of consistency!Out of the three trainers that have come and gone and who have trained me, FERNANDO was the BEST TRAINER. He inspired me to keep going and I lost about 10 lbs. in 3 weeks by just training with him in his free classes. My friends and I will have to cancel our membership... so sad.

Customer service here sucks! I’m glad I didn’t sign up. I came in to potentially sign up but I wanted to try out the place before I actually went through with it and I was basically thrown out unless I paid their $10 fee for a one day pass. As a potential member I should’ve been invited in to make my decision easier along with a tour and a break down of the prices but instead just flat out told me “buy a one day pass or get out”. I’m happy I got out and found Retro Fitness up North Avenue and they welcomed me for a 3 day free trial and worked with me financially. Best decision I’ve made. Please do not sign up at this place. Horrible!

Horrible place. They preach judgement free zone but that is all they do for anyone remotely fit. This. Place is perfect if you are a tub of goo dedicated to stay the same and live this false perception of being fit.. All around wate of time.

I have been training with Planet Fitness for several months. I have had better results here than any prior gym. They are methodical- and focuses on your individual needs.

This Planet Fitness is open 24 hours and always has friendly and upbeat staff. No matter what time I go, its clean and there are machines available. They also have aqua message beds which are awesome after a hard workout!

I had an issue and contacted the regional manager who NEVER responded back. Poor customer service.Also most any other gym you have has better quality equipment. Their treadmills are broken and most shut off if you go a a faster level suddenly, which can cause you injury. Also theres very little room there.Use your money for a better place this place isnt worth it

Great gym to get your sweat on. Not the cleanest facility I’ve been to, but for $10/$20 a month it works. It seems like the locker room used to be much better taken care of but the last few times I’ve used it to shower it’s been really sketchy.

Bathroom is never clean. Cannot get on machines during busy period. I was billed their yearly fee and wont let me cancel over the phone. The only thing good about is that its 10$. Went somewhere else.

DANGER. Come at Your Own RISK of RACISM. I came in and took a video of Tootsie Rolls then get accused of taking pictures of staff! Since most other people are using their electronic devices, and Ive never seen another person harassed for using their phones taking pictures etc I have to assume its because of race because Im not white.The manager then charged me extra money and FORGED my signature in a cancellation form that I never filled out or requested. DANGER sign up here at your own RISK of wasting your money to support lazy staff who just sit around talking all day, people who are racist, and a company that doesnt value its customers.

Needs new cardio equipment out of date and half of them dont even incline had to try 4 different treadmills to find one that actually does incline. This place really needs an update on cardi equipment. South elgin is better with there cardio equipment.

Sadly Ive had to mention twice in one week that the bathrooms are filthy! Need a COMPLETE cleaning not just the sinks. Toilets are gross, the stalls & doors need to be cleaned.. nice layout, plenty of machines and workout area is clean but if bathroom hygiene does not improve Im cancelling. NOexcuse for dirty bathrooms...gross... I said something on Friday to the front desk and came back today and saw NOTHING had been touched...

Affordable membership, open 24 hrs, staff is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have.

$10 a month cant beat it. Lifetime fitness is over $90.00 and crowded!

I get tired of wanting to use the bed spa and get looked over. I just go to Addison where they treat me better.
