I found a couple of apartments online and called to inquire. Evelyn responded promptly via text & call! When I went to the office, Maryanne was very friendly and took the time to understand my personal situation & what i was looking for. Within less than 1 day, she was able to find an apartment suited for me. i was in the office 3 days later, signing my lease with Evelyn & happy with the apartment found for me! the apartment was more than what i was looking for & under my budget. i will look to them for future opportunities, if needed. thanks again Maryanne & Evelyn! :)

My partner and I were looking to move into a new apartment together and Mary Anne was very helpful in finding a location for us that fit within out budget and our needs when it came to location and pet-friendliness. The apartment we found was co-listed and even while the agent for the other agency was often difficult and unhelpful, Mary Anne from Sisto was very helpful for us and communicated any and all updates with us swiftly. Evelyn was also a pleasure to deal with at the office. Yes, it can be cheaper to apartment hunt on your own, but working with Mary Anne really made our apartment hunt so much easier and we found a great apartment that we are incredibly happy with. Definitely worth it.

So in the midst of a pandemic, my roommate announces she is considering putting the house on the market, after the holidays. Oh joy, I have to find a place to live in the dead of winter.I saw a couple of listings on Zillow and Evelyn Sisto is THE ONLY ONE who responded to my inquiry and within 24 hours of my request.We arranged a suitable time to walk through, I was early and so was her assistant. I decided a few hours later to go for it. I signed the application, paid a nominal fee for a credit check and left a check for the realtor fee. I was made aware that if I backed out after being approved that I forfeit the fee.I got approved and today I signed the lease.COMPLETELY professional and clear.

My wife and i were looking for an apartment since we couldnt find one alone every apartment we were looking for were rejecting us it was a hard time for us to be able to find one so we came to sisto realty were evelyn was really helpful and nice to us. The first day me and my wife saw 4 apartments and that was an hour before their closing time, i think that should explain how motivated and dedicated they are to help you find an apartment that you like and will feel like your new home. I was so so upset with the process of working with a realtor that I was going to give up on looking for an apartment but Evelyn came in and took the time to actually LISTEN to what me and my fiancé wanted and she DELIVERED! A couple years ago I paid a membership fee so they can help me fund apartments. All the apartments they took me was horrible area and needs repairs. That membership fees is not refundable especially knowing they were no help.

I am not a fan of giving out bad reviews but if i can give this place a negative star i would. I gave sisto realty the opportunity to take my business and once they collect the money, the immediately disappeared like a ghost. one their payment was collected we had 2 weeks before moving into the new apartment. The day before we move-in we were expecting her to give us a call to get in contact with the super. I had to google the residential office in order to get a hold of the super. i waited a few weeks to see if they would ever realize that they were suppose to send the contact information. it wasnt until i text the relator expressing my concerns and how i had a horrible experience. The super even said that the realtor lied to her and never provided the full information to her. you received your commission but i would never refer anyone to your business. As i did have a few people seeking to look for a place. learn how to provide a seamless process to all of your clients.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. I was fortunate to have such a great realtor, Evelyn Sisto. She found a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment for me and my son in only 8 days. The landlord is also a great person and very attentive with maintenance and care. She showed us quite a few different apartments in the area and even drove us to each one. What a wonderful woman. My credit rating was low at the time. Usually you have trouble finding apartments with bad credit. That wasnt an issue with Sisto. I waited 12 months before posting this review so I can express an honest opinion on the apartment she suggested. I have been peacefully living there for about a year now. Absolutely no complaints about the place. I have never had such an easy move in my life. Thank you Evelyn.

If you truly want to know how this place operates just read the reviews! Evelyn is unresponsive. A rogue. She does what she wants. Once they take your money and comission they leave you hanging so they can take care of the next person who they can take money from. Its a cycle once they get their money, you are forgotten! Plus Evelyn is very unprofessional. Ive tried this place two times and everytime, Evenlyns demeanor is what makes me not want to use them anymore. Plus they are expensive and arent the type of people you TRUST to do things for you when youve paid them. Unreliable. Unprofessional. You could do better in the hood I swear. She has a lot of connections in the area and was able to get us in to see an apartment fast. She helped us every step of the way.

If you are a landlord DONT TRUST this realtor they dont check the tenants I rented my beautiful apartment with Evelyn she lied about the past of the tenants. They now owe me 15K and there is nowhere I can get this paid back because they have nothing. Realtor said they had proof of have a business, bank accounts and savings . NOTHING! NOTHING i just found with my attorney because i am filing a claim . these people they dont even pay taxes EVELYN showed me faked tax return ... I requested to received all the documentation about those tenants and she said that she does not have it .. After this I will report the agency to the Consumer Affair Bu Bureau with all my attorney has on the renter that is prior renting my place HORRIBLE !!! i wish she will spend on chemo therapy weekly all the money that im wasting now for these lowlife

Evelyn is AMAZING! She was extremely helpful, and very personable. I came from Upstate NY, so I did not have a good sense of the NJ area. Evelyn took the time to show me where the local train stations were, and how to navigate the area. She was also very sincere in listening to my apartment request and showing me great properties that embodied those key factors, and stayed within my budget. I am going through the application process for a location now, and will definitely keep Sisto realty in mind when I am ready to transition into home ownership.

Alright, so Im not the only dingus who was charged $50 just to see apartments. Cant say I had a very professional experience the one time I used their services. Evelyn drove me to an apartment (which was fine, not my cup of tea) while she talked on her phone a good portion of the way to the place. She also informed me she had to go to a dinner engagement, and would leave me in the care of her coworker.Fine.Evelyn passes me, and most of the information regarding the next couple apartment to her coworker (nice gal). Poor thing led me to the wrong apartment or the wrong door half the time. Im just happy that that fact caused her to bother Evelyn at her dinner engagement. Would give them zero stars, but 1). I cant, and 2). They taught me a $50 lesson.

Rico helped us find our first apartment in less than a week! He was very patient and answered any and all questions we had (even if some were a little ridiculous). During our viewings, he would point out pros and cons; and after we would debrief. He was very observant into our needs and was never too pushy. Honestly, if we didnt go through Sisto Realty and with Rico, I dont think we would have found an apartment until June.

Evelyn is great! I was in a bit of a bind trying to find housing quickly and she was very understanding and accomodating. She knows the market super well and has a lot of great options she showed us. We cant even begin to explain how much Evelyn helped us with renting our apartment. We had been looking for almost 3 months and between outrageous prices and having a dog, we kept hitting wall after wall. I inquired about an apartment in the morning, met with Evelyn at night and had a signed lease before going home. All in the same day. Evelyn was extremely professional and helpful. She understood our situation and met all our needs. We really appreciate her help and would definitely recommend her services.

Dont waste your time- They dont show apartments up front, they charge a $50 fee before they show you anything and ask you to come to the office, lie and say they will show you something the same day beforehand and then dont. They are scammers and they are liars. The glowing reviews are questionable.

From looking at rent being within budget, to it being a nice neighborhood to raise our kids, to the location being near grocery stores gas stations etc. We wasted so much time alone Evelyn from Sisto realty heard our request, Understood our requirements and got us into an apartment, IN NO TIME. Had a nightmarish experience working with this realty company. It all started off ok although I thought it a bit strange that they asked me to come into the office before disclosing the actual address of the property I was interested in (and found online myself). There I was pressured to fill out some sort of a registration/application which I refused. I saw one apartment then was directed to another. For the next apartment my realtor, Amanda, never showed and the manager of the building toured the apartment with me. More unprofessionalism came later when I was charged a realtor fee for the apartment which was not shown to me by the realtor, found out that the apartment building did not have any sort of listing agreement with this realtor and overheard screaming matches going on with another realtor and client in the office.The plot thickens after we read reviews that this company will not take down listings once they are leased just to get potential clients in (and then when they come in they bait and switch telling them that the apartment was just rented). This exact same scenario happened to me and was tested by a friend of mine (they called Sisto after I had signed and deliver the lease to them and Amanda let my friend know that my exact apartment was still available and to come into the office to take a tour).I called to complain to the manager Michael who was extremely disrespectful and rude to me over the phone and threatened to hang up on me. He got loud with me and extremely defensive when I let him know that I had searched on the internet and found that he was operating, at best, under poor ethical standards (if not outright illegal). He refused to refund me the realtor fee that I was unjustly baited into paying. I never thought it was necessary to even check reviews for a realty company before this experience but this is a mistake I will never make again and I hope others do not make the mistake of working with this company in the future.

Terrible service! Charged us $50 and then showed us just 1 apt. They had us fill out a detailed application for which they were insisting that we complete and provide them with all of our info like DOB, SS, etc. I later contacted other realtors and none of them asked for any initial fees or personal info like these people. I was in a rush. I had just received a job offer on October 17th in New Jersey and I needed to find a place to live in short order. I had driven around the area searching for a realty agency and found Sisto Realty. After Speaking with Evelyn and her Husband they offered to show me housing in the area after paying a 50 dollar fee. It was completely worth it. They will work with you until they find the right apartment. I wouldnt have found such a good place otherwise.

Evelyn Sisto was a horrible realtor as a listing agent. She lied to us and told us that the home owner approved our offer and had us wait 15 days for the contract to come from Puerto Rico (homeowner lives there) so in the meanwhile we stopped looking at other homes because she guaranteed it to us only to find out after those 15 days that the owner approved ANOTHER offer and we are left with no home. She knew damn well as a listing agent that she was still showing the home and that another offer came in, so she shouldnt have GUARANTEED us the home. SHES EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Do some research yourself and save some money. Taking money from people just to see places that are listed by management places which you can directly work with and not pay all the fees. I walked away when I was told I needed to pay $50 just to see a unit. They keep the addresses secret so you dont go on your own and realize you dont need them. Look up Brookdale Gardens, thats what they are showing.

Received a call about an apartment I inquired about. Agent told me to come and meet her at the office and then we would go see the apartment. After reading Google reviews saying that there is a fee just to LOOK at the apartment. I asked the agent, and she confirmed, there was a fee. She didnt state that, in the first phone conversation. I was about to take a drive there and waste my time. I think its obsurd to pay to just view an apartment. I shouldnt have to pay a fee to a realty I dont plan on doing business with. Realtor fees are fine. But a fee just to view the apartment is ridiculous.

They have a large selection of rentals, but I waited over an hour and a half my first visit, then I just left. They also dont have full details of locations they show you. I moved into a place thinking I was renting a garage with my apartment, but it was a carport. The fee was not worth it. One months rent is way to much to pay.

Kim was the best realtor. She walked me through the process of buying a house in Montclair. She was always available and went above any beyond, helping me with issues involving my rental while I was looking for my new house. Im not exaggerating when I say above and beyond... she even helped me plan a vacation right after I moved into the new house. She does everything to make the process of buying a home less stressful. She was always honest and never suggested bidding higher than she felt the property was worth. She is very knowledgeable. My parents are disabled and she was so diligent in trying to find a place that they would be able to get into. Thats not an easy task in Montclair. She also knew many wonderful people ( architects and contractors) that would come out and check properties to see how the could be made accessible. Im spoiled if I ever look for a house again. Kim was more like a personal assistant than a realtor. I highly recommend her.

I was in communication with one of the realtors, she stated the apartment listed on Craigslist was still available as of 10 pm. I went to the office the next day, at 5:00 as we agreed. She was not there, was at an apartment complex. I was willing to wait. The other realtor came in and when I asked about the apartment, she stated it was rented. When I questioned her how it could be rented if it was available the night before at 10, she stuttered and stated the landlord rented it. They dont provide you with the address of the apartment on the listing or when you inquire about it. You HAVE to go into the office in order to meet with them. When I went back onto Craigslist a few days later... guess what. The listing was still there. They are keeping unavailable apartments on there to get you into the office. Not good business. I wouldnt recommend using them. At All. I saw how they worked when the second realtor sat with me.

Worst place ever....they had apartment for rent but no number on address...called an made appt to see it...amanda had me meet her at the office ...usually u meet at property...well i find out that they have u go to them first because they want to charge u extra fee...otherwise u cant see place...they r crooked...so i let...what a waste if my time...to drive over there for nothing.

Realtor Evelyn put her realtor fee before any other deposits or app fees. Her best interest is with herself and not the owner who hired her or buyer/tenant who has to pay her (realtor fee). I could tell once she had the money in hand, she could care less if the buyer/tenant request were made or even given to the owner/landlord and seen to fluition. She said In order to take the house off the market, you have to pay the realtor fee. UPFRONT???! That was a major no no and I walked from the deal. She did not use discretion when taking about our job infront of other people when we were trying to whisper and keep it private. She blurted it out for all to hear though we were trying to be discreet. I over heard her yelling at her receptionist like a I already talked to her about the money. What else do she need to know! Are you serious! By the receptionist responding, Im just relying from what she (me) said. Usually when someone says this, the person on the other end of the phone is yelling at them for something someone else has said. This was when I went to the office to ask her face to face about that realtor fee to take it off the market and she lied to my face again. Nope! Not giving you my hard earned money when you blantenly lied about how the process goes more than once. Its ashame because we really really liked the owner/landlord. She was great! I hope she finds a good tenant soon and wish the landlord all the best. I just did not trust Evelyn with our personal information nor the rental process she runs.

Absolutely no service once they get paid. The realty company did not f/u with the landlord to confirm my apartment was ready for the promised move in date and when it wasnt ready they did not assist other than telling the landlord to let me move in. They claimed the apartment was ready even though it was not completed and even now is not really because I dont have anywhere else to put my furniture so they can properly finish the floors. I did not receive a call or an even an email to follow up with me to make sure I actually was able to move. Evelyn Sisto is condescending and disorganized and her response to issues is that she doesnt remember the things she guarantees because she works with so many people. Having a realtor was supposed to make things easier and it made my move very stressful.

Please dont do business with these people.. They advertise apts for rent of craigslist without photos, then tell you to go to go in for a showing of the apt.. Once youre there he tells you to pay $50. to see the apt even if you dont rent the apt. So, basically you have to pay them to just see the apt. We called for the appt to see the place and was never told of the fee til we arrived. Then had to deal with the realtors rude behavior. Will never deal with them again
