There plenty of barbers that rush and leave you with a rough cut.This barber visit was one exception. I got a smooth quick cut without compromise to the quality. cant wait to return. very nice stylist and atmosphere.I love how the cuts are incredibly clean and inexpensive. Cant forget that I was offered a straight razor Shape-up Edging at no additional cost to ensure the best detail and defined line possible.

These guys have been my go to my whole time as a student. Theres generally a 15-30 min wait but its worth it due to the low prices and the high quality cut. Cash only and as of now its $15

Amazing, great, very professional!!! I thought it was only for mens haircut before. But it turns out they are also very professional and good for womens haircut. I am a Chinese and had really long hair before. There is a young girl with a cute bun gave me the haircut. I was worried that she might be too young and not skilled enough. But she is very professional, fast and stylish. The price is also very good.

The Upper Room is the GOAT in Blacksburg when it comes to barber shops. Would totally recommend going. All of the barbers are great, friendly, have wild personalities, and do a great job with any hairstyle.

I went in here with 10 inches of curly blond hair which they helped me get into pony tails to donate. After they cut those off they gave me probably the best haircut Ive ever had. Perfect fade on the sides and didnt miss a spot. She even stayed past closing time to properly finish a quality hair cut. Its worth the wait and I would highly recommend this place. Very personable hair stylists who are great at what they do.

Great haircut, easily the best barber shop in the NRV. Would be an easy 5 stars if not for the ridiculous wait times... There are 4 chairs, but typically there are only 2, maybe 3, barbers working at a time. The place is always packed - expect an hour wait at a minimum. They also dont take appointments, and are cash only.I still put up with the waits because the haircuts are so good (and reasonably priced too) but I wish it wasnt such a miserable waiting experience.

All of the barbers are extremely skilled, they definitely know what theyre doing. They make the haircut feel casual and friendly to where you feel comfortable and welcomed, but they maintain strong professionalism, which clearly shows in their haircuts.For years I had trouble finding the best haircut for me, but after getting my haircut by Mandy for the first time, I was blown away. Literally the best haircut I have EVER received (and Ive been to all of the barbershops in Blacksburg). 10/10 would recommend Mandy!

The only barbershop I go to in Blacksburg. Its relatively cheap ($14), and they dont charge extra for trimming your beard. Ive been happy with the result every time. The only downside is that it can get busy, and they only accept cash. Luckily, theres a nearby ATM, and they will let you run out to use it if you forgot.

Absolutely one of if not THE BEST hair cuts I have ever had! I have a difficult type of hair to cut evenly and the barber was able to get it perfect the first time! I highly recommend this place to anyone needing a haircut!

Just got a haircut here -- great pricing (especially for cadets), but more importantly, great service. On par with quality from surrounding barber shops, and they take time on your hair. Never have gotten a bad fade or bad experience, and the straight razor shave for the neck is always a good touch.Keep in mind its cash only and there is usually a wait.

This place gives excellent haircuts and razor shaves. There is often a decent wait and they only accept cash, but I still think its worth it for the friendly service and great cuts!

Friendly staff, good price, they do a great job, and you get a decent view of downtown Blacksburg while you get your haircut. They can get busy on the weekends, so consider going early or during the week. They only take cash so remember to stop by the ATM (inside Squires) before heading in.

Love this shop. Brian is one of the best barbers on this side of the Mississippi. If youre a local or from out of town, this is the ONLY place in Bburg that you should go for a cut.

Brian and Karen are always friendly, cheery, and ready to do an above average haircut. They are closed Tuesdays and only accept cash for payment, which may be a negative for some folks. Otherwise, its my go-to for a haircut while at school.
