Run, dont walk, as far away from this company as you can get. We signed a contract with them last year (on 7/31/20). While some of our windows were installed in April, 2021 they seem to be unable to install the remaining windows. Since April, we have been given 2 dates that the remaining windows and doors would be installed. Their team did not show up, nor did anyone call, on either of those dates. I was told yesterday it may be another 8 weeks before the some of the windows will be received by them. They also told me yesterday that they would not be able to honor their contract to install any of the 4 doors we were to purchase from them. This was after being told repeatedly that all the doors were in, except one. This company appears to not have a clue about how to complete a project or stand behind their contract. When we are told one thing by one person at WW, another person will contradict what we were told earlier. I am concerned about their ability to stand behind their warranty, since they seem to be unable to stand behind their install agreement. When they completed putting in what windows they had in April, they did not put trim on the windows on the front of the house which left the bare wood exposed between and around the windows. They came back out and installed trim ; however, the trim was white and not the same color as the windows they installed. Our house currently has the new window color, the old window color (because they did not replace two of the windows on the front of the house) and the white trim. It is embarrassing to have our home looking as they have left it. And I truly have no idea when they will return to complete the job and fix the trim.
At the beginning of March 2021 I ordered 4 new windows to be installed in my home. I was given a timeframe of 12-16 weeks for installation. Only after I called to follow up around the 12 week mark, I was scheduled for a June 16 install - right at the end of the 12-16 week estimate. The week of the install date, I was contacted and informed that my install was being delayed until mid-July.When my install date came around again, a team arrived to install the windows, only to inform me that they only had 3 of the 4. They proceeded to install the 3 windows they had. Within 24 hours, the trim they installed was peeling off the windows. Some of the locks would not fully latch. One of the windows was installed such that the insulation in the surrounding wall no longer sealed the indoor space from outside. I discovered multiple 6-8 inch shards of glass from the old windows tucked behind some items on a nearby shelf. WW sent out a QC inspector, who documented the issues and said theyd be taken care of when the 4th window was installed (which he said would be soon).It is now September and I contacted WW to find out when my 4th window would be installed. I was told there is no estimated delivery date. I was also told the QC issues could not be handled until the 4th window arrives. At no point has anyone at WW taken any initiative to correct these issues. I strongly recommend against purchasing any products or services from this company.
After paying a large deposit and waiting almost 3 months, I have been unable to reach anyone to inquire about the install date. I have been calling multiple times a week for the past two weeks and it rings and rings with no answer. They seem to not answer their phones any longer. If they werent such a large company I would be worried that they had taken my money. I am truly worried that if they follow through with the install, how on earth will I reach them if there is a problem?Update: They came to install the 18 windows 4 months later. No communication until 1 week before installation. Unfortunately they only hire outside contractors to do their installation. The crew that did my installation did a terrible job. They actually broke half of the windows that were installed, which had to be remade at the factory and sent back out. On all of the windows the craftsmanship, trim, caulking and metalwork was of extremely poor quality. The manager refused to come to the house come in only wanted photographs. Every single window had an issue, so I photographed every window and send it to him. He laughed and laughed and talked about how horrible a job it was and that they would get it redone. Unfortunately it took another 3 to 4 months to get a new crew out, new windows to redo everything. Unfortunately again the second crew also did a miserable job and had caulk all over the place. The old windows actually looked better than these new windows. There was a new manager this time who agreed to meet me To take a look. He agreed that the quality was really bad and he was going to have another crew come back and do this. One month later I still have not been scheduled for the third reinstallation. I asked for a refund so that I could hire someone else to come and redo all of the installations myself, since Window World can’t seem to figure it out. They completely refused this and said they were “take care of me “. I ordered my windows in December 2020. It is now almost September 2021 and my windows have still not been installed correctly. I have attached photo so you can see what terrible quality this company gives. I would never recommend them to anyone. The first 10 photos are from the 1st job, the rest are from the second job.
This was my first experience with Window World. Felt like the salesman over-promised and under-delivered.From reading many recent reviews, its apparent that Window World is currently having issues.Phone calls are either not being answered or returned, and the time it takes to get windows is incredibly long. Waited almost half a year, not sure this is normalAlso I got the impression that the salesman might not have been honest with his sales pitch. The guys that installed the windows straight up shot me an odd look about one of the charges and told me that was just a way to charge me more. Kinda felt like it during the sales pitched which is why I questioned him. After pushing it, he dropped it. Found it ironic that the workers straight up acknowledged wheat I was thinking.Not sure what the solution is.Window World, please swallow your pride, and begin giving better service. The client is your paycheck.
I’ve got all these reviews beat and it makes me sick. Too bad I can’t give a ZERO!August 5, 2020, I signed a contract for purchase/installation of 28 windows/doors. The contract stated installation would occur within 8-12 weeks. After 12 weeks I began calling WW. The first call I was told installation would be in October. When that didnt happen, I called again and was told November. When that didnt happen, I called again and was told the last week in December. I told them we couldn’t do it at Christmas, it would have to be January. I could not get anyone to return my calls so on January 5th I left a negative comment on their Facebook page and received a call within 5 minutes of the post, offering to investigate and call me back. January 6, I was told the windows were due to ship on January 8 and should arrive within 2 weeks. The 2 weeks came and went and more unreturned calls. I was finally able to speak with someone and installation was scheduled for February 22.They installed damaged windows and screens, installed a sliding door upside down, did not insulate the windows, and started removing a bathroom picture window that was not to be replaced. In addition, the crew did not have all the windows and doors to complete the job. They left an incomplete set of sliding glass doors in the garage. The supervisor told me he would return the next day to finish the job and repair the window that he wasnt supposed to remove. No show. Next day, we cleaned the windows that were installed and found that most of the latches didnt work and the sliding door would not open, a kitchen window glass was broke, 3 screens were torn, and the bathroom picture window the crew attempted to remove was left exposed on the exterior, leaving the house frame open to weather. The crew left debris and tools on the roof. Again, contacted WW for resolution and spoke with Liz who couldnt help but gave me a supervisors email. I emailed the supervisor but I was never contacted. Again, more phone calls, I spoke with Kaylee who made an appointment for Josh, project manager, to come out February 25. I got a work order for latch replacement, complete the second sliding door installation, and repair the bathroom window. No repair. More phone calls. March 8, got an appointment for Josh project manager, to come out. He came and measured again for one of the windows that was not installed and noted on a work order the repairs that were needed and scheduled the master tech to come March 16. Mater tech told me the sliding door was installed upside down and was still missing a lot of parts, stated the bathroom picture window could not be repaired and would need to be replaced, repaired some of the latches and the 3 screens AND made another work order for all the repairs needed from the botched installation. The bathroom window still has plastic. April 19, I left 4 voicemails on 4 different extensions. April 21, Katie called to say she had no answers for me but scheduled Josh, project manager, again. April 29, Josh measured the bathroom window for replacement. Since then, I have spoken with Kaylee, Alicia, and Katie to find out specifics about the replacement window, equal to what I had. No one can tell me.As of May 25:Four unfulfilled work ordersA picture window, half moon window, and sliding door still on order that needs replaced, originally ordered August 5, ordered again, February 25A sash that needs replaced, was ordered February 25Sliding door parts installed correctlyInsulate and trim all windowsProperly caulk all windowsReplace bathroom window with equal or betterReordered windows/doors are set for July, 5 months after 2nd order, meaning they’ll be here by August, maybe. We contract 19 windows 20 august 2020, they said install 8-12 weeks, after changing the install date 3 times after 8 months they finally came after they had installed several windows we were informed they only had 12 windows. We call several times and finally speak with the manager she said seven windows had been broken and she will contact us the following monday still we have heard nothing and they will not return our messages. Now the house look terrible some new windows some old windows and it has now been almost nine months. Please do not make the same mistake we did.
Do not use this company! Pay the extra money and go to Champion or another company in Birmingham. We signed a contract in September of 2020. After months and months of rescheduling, we were able to get all of our windows installed except one, a large important window. The contractors told us to follow up with the Window World office, and I have multiple times and gotten many different stories from each customer service person. I have been told the missing window was never ordered, was ordered and it was lost, was ordered and the glass did not come in, the crew never showed up to install it, and was just told this past week it was never ordered at all. Window World has zero communication skills with their customers and apparently the staff does not know how to communicate with one another either. It is impossible to get a phone call back. I was able to get the email of the manager, Jay Symms, and have emailed multiple times with no response. I agree with all of these reviews- we should have read them before signing a contract too. Huge regret!
BUYER BEWARE: WINDOW WORLD IS A SCAMI ordered a sliding glass door last October(2020). They have not been in contact with me to update on the status. I have been rescheduled 3 times now. The call center reps are beyond rude. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I do not expect to have a new door even by the end of the year. I have never dealt with a company that has such disregard for their customers. I told them I just wanted to cancel my order because of ongoing issues with current door and needing a replacement ASAP. Do not believe the timeline the sales reps give you as it is incorrect and they are just trying to crank out sales. I have 3 houses of windows to replace and this was a trial run. Needless to say I will not be using them for any projects in the future.**UPDATE : Installers came this morning 6/30 after being told they would have to reschedule. There is caulking everywhere on my flooring, the vinyl pieces of the door look like they were thrown together and dont actually fit. There are gaps around the door from where the vinyl is just loose. The door will barely be opened because it is so hard to roll. This is a poor quality door and does not fit what they boast to be exceptional quality. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY it is a SCAM**update: A crew came out 8/9 to fix what the initial installers messed up or neglected to do. There are still gaps in some of the vinyl pieces. The door will actually close and latch now. I am still unhappy with the overall quality and installation of the door. They are not people that stand by their word. I will never purchase anything from this company and will continue to spread the word that they are indeed a scam company.
Unprofessional!! We ordered our windows (19) and a storm door in September. The rep told us it would be 8-10 weeks before install. Thats understandable because of covid and the holidays. After week 12 I decided to call because no one had contacted me to give any updates. I was told that they didnt have an install date for me yet. The rep placed me on hod then came back with January 14th 2121. Frustrated, I agreed. On January 13th I called to confirm the installation date because I was going to miss work to be home. I was told that my date had been moved to March! What could I do? I agreed to the March date. While on Facebook I saw their advertisement and I put Buyer Beware. Of course the comment disappeared but someone gave me a call and moved my install date to February 13th 2121. LOL On February 10th at 4:15pm I received a call saying my installation day has been moved up to February 11th. I agreed because at this point I just want my windows. I immediately put in to be off work. The installers were supposed to be here between 9-11.. Around noon I received a call saying that they werent coming due to the weather. But they could come February 12th. I refused because that wouldve been another day off work. So I asked if I could just keep the Feb 13th date. Rep stated that they didnt have any installers working on Saturday, and that she wouldve called me anyway to reschedule. CRAZY BECAUSE YOU SCHEDULED THE INSTALLATION FOR A SATURDAY!! I agreed to the installation for Feb 12th. But I explained to her how this entire experience has been. She didnt seem to care. Only offered me $100 for my trouble.. I MISSED 2 DAYS OF WORK!!!! NOT SURE OF I WILL EVEN GET THAT BECAUSE ITS HER WORD AGAINST MINE AND I DONT HAVE IT IN WRITING!!! The install crew was the only good thing that came out of this. They showed up an hour late but was very fast and friendly. They couldnt figure out how to make the front door lock so someone has to come back out. Hopefully before summer hits!! I wouldnt buy windows for a dollhouse from Window World. Hopefully these hold up because I dont want anything else to do with them!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! And the reason we didnt cancel was because the account was opened 4 days after signing the contract and Wells Fargo picked it up. If we closed the account it wouldve been a negative strike on our credit! Goal is to pay these off and LET EVERYONE KNOW TO STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!***UPDATE***Daylight came and I could just cry! These windows look Terrible..the caulking has multiple holes and gaps. Some of the windows have been bent. Also my front shutter is broken..I assume they were trying to get to my outside plug but Ive been using that plug 4 years with no problem! IF THIS IS WHAT $9000 GETS YOU.. I RATHER HAVE MY OLD WINDOWS BACK
I signed a contract in March for siding and windows. I paid half up front. Finally got my windows installed in August but not without many phone calls to them for status updates. Now I’m still waiting for my siding at the end of September. No one from their office has ever called me to give me a status update. They’ve only returned my call after contacting them first. They always say their going to keep me updated but it doesn’t happen. Customer service can never tell me anything. The regional person gives me excuses every time. I’m over it. Find someone else to use.
Absolute worst company I have ever worked with! The windows arent worth the thousands they charged us, they leak air, and they were installed poorly. Their lifetime warranty is a joke. We have had them out three times, and each time it was a bandaid fix. We have tried to get them to our house over the past several months for some major repairs (because of the poor installation), and they have scheduled us and then called the day before to reschedule three times now over the past three months. DO NOT trust them! If they ever actually come and fix our windows I may write an update, but Im not holding my breath.UPDATE 6/1/2021: They sent a supervisor out who created a huge list of items that needed repair and/or were installed incorrectly. Well see what the result is.
I placed an order for 3 windows on January 11, 2021 and made a 50% down payment. At the time I was told delivery on the windows would probably be mid-April. That deadline wasnt met. I was contacted and they said they would be at my house on July 27th to install the windows. The day before they called and said they had to reschedule. I called back and was on the phone for 25 minutes trying to get a reschedule date.Finally August 12th was my new installation date. Got a voice message this afternoon (August 11) stating they would have to reschedule again.Good luck trying to talk to a human when you call the main number.Maybe my windows will be installed by 2022 but Im not holding my breath. I wont use them again.Update 8/11/2021 - I was actually able to talk to someone at the main office. Now my installation date is September 20, 2021. Im not holding my breath the windows will be installed on that date.
Ordered window installations to my home in Hoover, AL. Mr Dustin Johnson performed the installations. We were very appreciative and happy with his professional expertise and thoroughness in completing the project. He is definitely an asset to Window World, and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase.
Well, unfortunately Ive used them for years. Had several windows installed at different times. They were fine a few years ago. Not anymore. One of the windows failed. I called them over a year ago to have it replaced under warranty. No problem they said. That was a year ago. Six months ago they would at least answer the phone to tell me the were running behind. Now, they dont even bother to answer the phone. I guess they are out of business? How would they get new orders if they dont answer the phone? Or, do they just block my number since Im an already paid customer? Needless to say I would avoid them at all costs. So even if you get through on the phone (please tell me your trick), I encourage you to find an alternative. Like ANY alternative...
This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a company.They botched the window and door installation massively.Over a 14 month period they had to come out to my home 15 or more times to only never have the correct parts to do a task as simple as caulking 23 windows or repairing trim their crew broke. After a 14 month period we sold our home before Window World could even get a correct dummy door handle set. The manager Larry Beard does nothing but covers his own a$$. For our trouble they offered me a measly 15% discount. These guys are crooks and perform horrible workmanship. You may save a little money but its not worth it. There are many other reputable window companies that can get close enough to their price but the workmanship and communication is not so pathetic. Potential buyers please be aware! I had a representative come to my home summer of 2020. The order and deposit was placed in August of 2020. Fast forward to April 5, 2021, I still have not received a date for installation and no one has called yet to give me an update since January of 2021. I was told end of February/1st of March. Okay, I understand this pandemic has placed lots of things on hold and it has had a domino affect. However, the pandemic has nothing to do with professional courtesy. I have called every week in the month of March to inquire about installation. When I do get an operator, Im a told someone will call me back. Well, as of Monday, April 5, 2021, I still havent received a call indicating date of service for my home. I purchased windows in the past and I didnt have any complains with service or quality of work which is why I decided to go with this company for siding and shutters. Again, the year 2020 has been challenging for all of us. However, good customer service should always be a top priority and communication is key....patiently waiting for a response.
They told me it would only take 4 to 6 weeks to get windows and installed. It has been almost 6 months and nothing. Had to call numerous times and got conflicting answers each time. I could call 2 times in one day and get 3 different answers.
Wonderful at first. Had to get a couple replaced, no problem. This last time, I need 1 window replaced. They said they ordered it, but it would take 6 weeks. When 6 weeks arrived they supposedly lost it. I cant get anyone on phone, or return my call. The guy who was supposed to come out is the only one to answer my calls. He apologized, said it was a broken system and it happens all the time. He ordered my window again personally. Im waiting for 6 weeks, again.
I ordered 2 windows on 22 June. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks. Yes, things have slowed down because of COVID. But is it too much to ask for a phone call letting you know that your order is going to be much longer than you were orginially promised? The answer is... yes it is! I had to make several calls to find out when the windows would be ready. 16 weeks later I was told they were ready. Two appointments were scheduled for installation and were CANCELED BY WINDOW WORLD LESS THAN 24 HOUR NOTICE. When I spoke to one of the store managers explaining that I work and had to arrange my schedule and also drive 40 minutes to get to the house for the installation he told me to text him what day would work for me the following week. I had to check my schedule so I texted him on Friday that Tuesday would work. I didnt want to say Monday because I had a sneaking suspicion that if I did they would be a no show again. Good thing I didnt pick Monday because I didnt get any response at all. After several text messages and leaving several voicemail messages I called the office on Monday morning. I finally got a call from him and he said he was out of town and had no phone service. OK things happen, but if you are in a leadership position how about you think outside the box and send me a text giving me the other managers contact information. Or better yet, have them call me and show me that you value your customers. You already inconvenienced me twice and I explained my situation with some frustration.It is clear to me that CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT a priority in this office. He told me that the other store manager was going to be calling me in a few minutes. That didnt happen either. Several HOURS later I called back. I was put on hold and then told they would come the next day. The manager never got on the phone to apologize for not calling me back. Is anyone else seeing a pattern? Two managers and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE from either one. Finally the windows were installed on 2 Nov. I had to leave after several hours, the installers finished what they needed to do on the inside and told me it would be no problem at all for me to leave and they could finish the outside portion. Before I left, I noticed that the large window frame was cracked/not welded in the corner. I informed installers and they said they would let WW know. The next day I received a phone call from WW to see how installation went. HOUSTON we have a problem! Theres no communication. And the hits just keep coming. When I told her about the window she had no idea. She asked me if I let the field rep know. I informed her that I wrote all the information on the survey sheet and that the installers informed me that they had to write up a report and turn it in at the end of the day. Just when I thought the nightmare was over.... Today is 9 Nov. I have not heard a word from WW, and wait for it....drum roll....look how nice my window looks. Im speechless. The installers were very nice people, but this is unexceptable on so many levels. Hopefully someone from WW will read this and contact me. Dealing with WINDOW WORLD has been DISAPPOINTING, FRUSTRATING, and a TIME CONSUMING experience and Im still not done. And for the record, theres no Negative Stars or thats what I would have rated my experience so far.
The initial contact with Window World was positive and a gentleman came out and gave me an estimate. My wife and I thought it over and decided to go ahead and I contacted the gentleman to come back out and we came to an agreement on the price and I paid half up front to get the windows built, so far so good. After having to deal with weather issues and some minor miscommunication W.W. sent out 3 of the nicest and most knowledgeable installers you could ever imagine and my new windows look FABULOUS ! Thank you Window World !
One star is too many stars. Ordered windows on 6/10/20 had them installed several months later. First batch had some defective glass, second batch didn’t fit correctly, third batch hasn’t arrived as of today 3/10/2021. Unable to get in touch with office. I understand issues happen when purchasing windows but I’ve had to track them down to schedule initial install, second install, and third install (can’t reach). There is zero proactive communication from WW unless it’s to cancel your install and sometimes that doesn’t even happen. The pricing is good but not good enough to justify dealing with them. And good luck talking to a manager or having one call you back.
Ordered windows November 2020. Paid half. Said because of covid 19, production MIGHT be delayed. Let say 12 to 14 weeks. Called me end of December to say windows were 1/2 way through production. Ask what does that mean? Answer, I dont know . No other communication. Called at 17 weeks. Called everyday, 4 times day. Waited for pick up 1 half hour or until they hung up. Left call back instructions after one week when a message told me too. No call back ever . Realized what was happening. Been here with another business before. Started a file. Began phone records gathering. Started calling around, networking, researching owners.... may 21, 2021 3:41 phone answered by VERY POed woman at 3:44. SURPRISE! Your windows are on the truck! Lets schedule! Are windows at your location? I am at home office in Atlanta. How do you know my windows are on truck? Probably are... why schedule me if you dont know.....DO YOU WANT TO BE SCHEDULED OR NOT. Yes please.... Story is in August 11, 2021 5 more pages of story...cannot make this stuff up.....by the way, have some windows installed..Looks like a Dr. Sues cartoon house window, made completely crooked and skewed, caused my vertigo to act up and I 🤢...stay tuned..have an appointment with attorney General of State of Alabama in 2 weeks to give update on my investigation. Stay tuned for the rest of the story......continued August 12, 2021, have found three screws coming through the front of three windows they tried to hide with caulk. Apparently they used a bout a case of caulk to fill the crazy lopsided gaps and protruding screws. The caulk has begun to sink into the gaps and holes are developing. I tried to pay for part of my bill over the phone after installation of part of my windows, but did not get that far as I was told by the representative that she had not heard of a window world credit card. I needed to have the salesman come out again finance me through Wells Fargo, my card is through Wells Fargo btw. I was put on hold several times while she conferred with various department heads, very BIG payroll apparently. She came back and said I really should not have credit cards with 30% interest rates nor should I use them! Chastised I said that was my business how I paid my bills. She said thry would not take my card. Btw, my large picture windows was reordered june 30. 2021. They scheduled me 4 times for installation of all my windows after knowing my windows were not there. I was then ask why installers were at my house installing windows. I said I did not work for window world and could not answer question.HA HA HA! I have since interviewed several installers. Facts as they know them....no covid delay in window production. After reading reviews going back to 2017, windows rarely ever show up within given time frame. There is an office in Birmingham. I was told by atlanta office all available numbers listed in alabama are automatically relayed to Atlanta office. Wonder why? You automatically get 3 cancelations before they actually come out. Why not just tell the truth? Speed of installation is very important as they have to do many jobs to make a living as they are poorly paid....also, in my experience, if they hurry away before you can see the deformed windows and thrown together installation, they avoid irate customers. Bought windows mid November 2020. Now August 2021. Only two window are made correctly. None installed that would pass ANY BUILDING CODES! STOP SELLING WINDOWS! YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ATE DOING! I ordered 10 windows in November. I was warned that the 6-8 week window was unavailable due to the pandemic and it would be 12-14 weeks. In March I called. Multiple calls and finally got an answer. The windows were in, but they did not have any installers available. They offered me may. 8 weeks late. I agreed. The install date was supposed to be today on the 11th. No one showed up. I called 4 times before getting a representative. She looked it up and put me on hold. She came back on and said they just missed us. On hold I went again waiting for the next date. She finally came back on and said one more month. I declined. She said that if she rescheduled someone to move us in anywhere in the next month it would be someone who was rescheduled already. This means they have 1 month worth of rescheduled customers so anyone originally scheduled for this month will be rescheduled. I told her to cancel the order. She said she cant because its a contract. I mentioned to her that they were three months late due to lack of installers. She said that is a tentative date according to my contract. I still have it. It does not. And I told her as much and said she can take me to court. Id love a judge to see my install missed by 4+ months without so much as a phone call. Stay away from this company unless you can wait 7-10 months for an install and missed appointments.Update: They offered me a good deal to have them put in and I regrettably accepted. They put in half of the windows. Still waiting on the rest.
Definitely the best deal you can get! Got 5 big picture frame windows replaced . 3 in my front den and 2 in my dining room. They were all replaced with casement windows. You cant beat window worlds prices and replacement for life guarantee. Hands down the best. Dont waste your time trying to compare there prices to anyone elses. They will win every time.
Here we are one year from my order and payment and I have been cancelled on the day of installation 4 times now. Every time they cancel for some made up reason, and then when I call back to reschedule they refuse to return my money and insist on re-scheduling. So they schedule me 3 months out and then cancel day of again and again. They clearly have no intention of installing the ONE WINDOW I ordered and will not return my money. God help anyone who has more than one window they are waiting on and anyone who chooses to do business with this scam in the future.

Ordered windows in early September. Finally got on the schedule in mid November for 12/21. Just got the call that they are not coming and need to move it to mid-January. Would not be so mad if they had told me during their 4 calls in the last week about coming early that they were probably going to cancel my appointment date because appointments are tentative. They need better communication and organization.
The rep who came out and gave me an estimate was very professional. I feel he could have been more detailed about the different window options. I think because I was female he did not. However, I am pleased with my windows. It took a while to get them and I had to keep calling to check the status instead of being called with an update. The person who came was a contractor. He did an excellent job and cleaned up the mess from the old windows. I felt he should have asked me if I wanted to keep my old windows which two wasnt broken. But after he finished we reviewed the job together and I told him I was pleased. So he left. My experience was a good one. If i need windows for the future it will be Window World. I didnt give 5 stars because the time it took to get the windows to be installed and me having to call to check the status.
Window world maybe but dont call the DOOR World, they have been to my house more than a dozen times to fix front door. Came today to fix it for good and could not pull it off. Removed old door frame then realized they didnt have the correct replacement ordered. I have their windows and if on a budget they are a good choice but a door from big box store and my handy man would have saved me not only money but 15 days meeting them instead of doing something else PRICELESS.
Worst experience ever..waited 12 weeks for install to be put off 5 more weeks, then delayed an additional 5 weeks for a grand total of 22 weeks or 5 months from purchase to install.Supposed to have installers here today, 12/15 and get a call that one of the windows is damaged and will have to be reordered.No telling when this project is going to be completed...if i only knew going in......i should have read the reviews before placing my order...Update - 12/15 they just did it again.no show.... called and said it would be next Wednesday.. two days before Christmas... yeah right.
I had some issues at the beginning with some issues but I spoke the girls I’m the office and they were amazing. First I spoke with first girl Kayleigh and then her manager and they were able to help me and the manger even called me back to check in.
We were very pleased with our service. Would recommend to others. Very professional and courteous.

Lost the gas oit of 4 windows now. I have one leaking and no one will return my calls. Heck no one answers the phone. After install I notice no one had caulked the windows. Bathroom window had to be reinstalled. I would not recommend this company to anyone
We ordered a window in April. They told us it would take 12 weeks to come in. It came in in July but they couldnt install until September. Days before installation they called to say it was broken and they would have to reorder. So they didnt check it when it came in. Then they told us they could install it in October. Just before installation they had to reschedule. They were suppose to come install next week and they just called again to say they have to reschedule AGAIN to December because they are behind on another big job. I absolutely would NOT recommend this company. Its been 8 months since we ordered. Poor customer service.

I’ve purchased windows from them on several occasions but this last purchase I haven’t received my windows yet and it’s been over 9 months they keep rescheduling the install and you can never talk to upper management nor will they give you a call back. I will NEVER RECOMMEND anyone to them.
Used this company in the past and didn’t have an issue so I decided to use them again for installing 4 windows. Those 4 windows are running me around $1900. They have taken half the cost upfront (in late June) and told it would be around 8 weeks for my windows to come in. Fast forward 6 months and the windows still haven’t been installed. My Install date is 12/22 but I just received a call saying they had another job run over and need to move me to 1/29. Avoid this company at all costs if you can. They are expensive, have terrible customer service, and will not worry about you once they have their down payment.
Window World is a joke!!!! The salesman was very nice and professional but thats where it ends. We ordered windows on May 20th paying half up front never heard a word from them until I called. (July) They set up an appointment for between 9:00 & 10:00am Aug 21st I waited all morning at 11:30am I called they informed me they needed to reschedule. WHAT!!!!! I tried not to get angry with the young lady on the phone it was not her fault. 😒 Here it is a month later and still no WINDOWS my husband scheduled another time Sept 3rd between 9:00 & 11:00am now today they inform us they need to push it back???? Are you kidding me!!!! I took off work now you cant come at this new scheduled time you set. You may stand on your windows but not your customer service..... To much money to play with!!!!

At this point, my wife and I requested that he measure all of our windows. Once again, Bruce presented us with another ridiculously low estimate! My wife and I didnt hesitate for a second, we pulled the trigger! Once we paid for our installation, we were given a reasonable expected installation date, which we both were happy with. However, Window World under promised and OVER DELIVERED! Our new windows were professionally installed three weeks AHEAD of schedule!!! Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee Jr. and Mr. Colt, (Window World installers) arrived two and half hours EARLIER than they had previously promised me! All three installers were professional, highly respectful, and extremely knowledgeable during the one day installation process. I would highly recommend this company to my family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers! Not only am I satisfied with my overall experience with Window World, but I feel as if I have gained new friends as well.
We used Window World to replace a window that had a seal broken in it. Upon removing the old window from the house, they left a scratch in our hardwood floors from the front of the house to the back of the house. After agreeing to do whatever they needed to make it right, they sent one of their employees out to try and buff the scratch out, which did not work. He told us that he would tell his company that a professional needed to come out to repair the floors. After this employee left, I did not hear from Window World for 2 1/2 weeks. I sent a couple of emails and left several voicemails for the person in charge of our account, only to hear back after an extended period of time. At that point, I was told to get a quote and submit it to them for approval. I got the quote, got the person to do it, and did ALL of the work for Window World. I was even fair to them and did not have all the floors in the ENTIRE house redone and only had half of them redone, which was $2200. The professional company was unable to match the color of the stain so they had to redo a part of the floors for an additional $700, which Window World did not pay for. But it sounds like they would have paid $4400 to have the entire house done?!? They said it wasnt their fault that the flooring company couldnt match the stain. If that were the case, they should have hired their own company and handled things on their own instead of putting it in my hands. The scratch should have never happened in the first place. At the end of the day I wasted so much time, energy, money, and effort on them, that I will make sure that I NEVER use them again, as well as, my family and friends. FLAT OUT TERRIBLE.
Trust the bad reviews, DO NOT USE WINDOW WORLD. Save yourself the hassle, time, and money and go somewhere else. Absolutely awful experience with them.Was told it would take 8-10 weeks because of COVID but took a grand total of TWENTY FIVE (25) weeks. Theyll put you on the schedule, you take the day off work, and then they call you the day before to say they wont make it, reschedule for 5 weeks out, and then cancel again the day before. Hope you have lots of PTO!! They’re deceptive to get you to sign the contract then they could care less about you after you’ve done so (because there is no way out!)
If you want a company that does not care about their customers, lies, and takes months longer than anticipated (hopefully you can afford to take MULTIPLE days off work), window world is for you.We signed a contract with Steve in July 2020 due to the low priced quote due to rot in our window frames. We were told 10-12 weeks due to the pandemic, which we understood. At the end of 12 weeks, we had heard nothing, except that the company had our windows. We called to be told they would schedule us another month out (end of october). The afternoon before our scheduled day, they called to cancel and moved us an additional two weeks to Nov 4. We take down our blinds, move all the furniture, and have a team come out to tell us that the company does not deal with window rot. Turns out for an extra fee they can, by the end of the week they said. Two weeks later we signed an email addendum agreeing to the extra money, and all this after the company refused to allow us to work with a different sales manager. I was told the earliest they could schedule was December 29th!! (even though the re-schedule was their fault)! I spoke to almost every girl on the phone (Alicia, Kayla?), however they were never able to answer my questions and were unable or unwilling to forward me to someone who could. I was also unable to have a manager call me back on multiple attempts. Melissa told me she would re-listen to a call about our scheduling but Im guessing she lied since I have not heard anything about it. Multiple people also told me that Ronald would be coming to deal with our extensive project, turns out they also lied and no one told me. The contractors they used to install had no difficulties, we have some problems with our trim that we opted to fix ourselves instead of dealing with this company more. Unfortuantely, they will not give you a deposit back after you have signed a contract and will not even offer an apology for all the difficulty they cause. I will not be using this company for the other half of my windows
Very happy with products. They could have cleaned the windows when done. The left pieces of the original window able on 3 upstairs windows. A pain to do later. I was told to leave blinds in place. All were taken down, tossed about. The guys were atleast nice though

I had a great experience with Window World, from the sales cycle to the install! They provided high quality windows at an affordable price, and ended up being able to install weeks earlier than originally quoted. The installers were very quick and efficient and they turned out beautifully!
Had great experience with new replacement windows from Window World of Central Alabama. I had an issue with the lentils above the windows that caused a delay in the work evolutions. The manager even got involved in setting up rescheduling and finishing work. They made sure I had the same tech to finish up the work and even had found someone who could have done repairs. I was able to fine local craftsman to do brick work but still was impressed with their willingness to help me get windows in. I can give them no less that five stars. I also feel they will back warranty if needed but feel the windows perform as desired. Thanks guys for a great installation experience. I look forward to enjoying our new windows for years to come.Jack
The whole process was easy from quote to completed project. My installers were wonderful and very satisfied with how they left the job. They worked tirelessly for two days replacing 22 windows in my almost 100 year old house. I can tell a huge difference in both exterior noise penetration and energy efficiency. I am very satisfied with my initial results.

Windows seem to be high quality. Time will tell but if there are ever any problems the iron clad lifetime warranty is there to resolve it. That is the main reason I chose window world. As for the installation, it was spot on and the crew were extremely polite, courteous, efficient and professional. I couldnt have been more pleased.

I will say I wasnt very happy with the Salesman Dan once he sold me on the windows I never heard from him again. I called numerous of times and sent texts and to me thats not how you earn repeat business. But like I said Larry went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased and Happy. Install went great. We have used window world 3 times now and we have had good results with their windows, service, and installation. But this last time the guys that installed the windows are a joke. They did not clean up and half way cleaned up the outside. At 8:30 pm I was cleaning and vacuuming up under each of our windows. Also, I just discovered that one of the men peed on the ply wood in our attic. Left glass up there. I hope no one ever gets them. They are from Lee County. It is a Dad, Son, and brother in law. If they come up send them packing and ask for someone else. Window world did compensate for their just plain sorriness. I hate to say that but that is what they are.
I had an appointment for today scheduled for 1pm to 3pm. At 3:30pm I called to find out when the crew would be arriving to which I was informed that they would not be coming, and they would have to reschedule me for another week.This is completely unacceptable, I had to miss work for nothing.I will NEVER use this company again.At the very least they could have called me to let me know that they werent coming and I could have stayed at work. Now I will have to miss another day of work, and reschedule my other contractors.Thank you window world for costing me even more money.
I am completely thrilled over my new windows! My house looks brand new and the view in my yard is gorgeous! Really dont want to put curtains back up LOL. I love how easy the windows open and close and how well insulated they are. The installation crew were very nice and professional not to mention they got 12 windows installed in about 4 hours. Have a nest of baby birds on my porch ledge and they were even extra careful not to disturb them 🙂

Absolute garbage company.I was buying a house on which they installed the windows and siding. They didnt put proper slope on the window sills thus water was draining into house. Previous home owner called because the work was still under warranty and they sent a guy out and he agreed that they would fix it. So I went ahead and bought the house. A crew came about a month later, fixed one window and vanished, left trash laying all over my yard. I had no idea what was going on until I called a week later, they got called away to another job. This was in September. WW rescheduled for a day in October. That day comes, WW calls, gives me an excuse why they cant come, and rescheduled. November- call, excuse, reschedule. December- call, excuse, reschedule. Today, January 21- call, excuse, reschedule. They say theyre coming on February 2, but I have a feeling Ill be on here that morning complaining.
They were the only company that we would use!!Even during this pandemic, they have been absolutely amazing! I would recommend them to anyone!!
Awesome quality windows installed 2002. Still look brand new in 2020. Had a broken glass. They New from the serial number the exact piece to replace, have ordered the part, and will come out and fix it, all covered in warranty. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Man I love a quality company with perfect customer service.
Contracted April 3, 2020. Four months later, work has still not even been started. Rare updates from the company except for when we call and beg for one. Sometimes they still don’t return our calls. Multiple excuses for why they haven’t started the job. They say they do not have enough people doing installation. Why not hire some? Every time we call there’s another excuse. It’s Covid, it’s weather, we don’t have enough people, and we understand that. But four months and no start date? Enough is enough.
Great initial consult with company representative. Costs and number of windows needed was presented. Myself and my wife did not feel as though we were pressured which allows us to make a more informed decision regarding windows for our home. Of all the products that we have looked at, the quality was indeed excellent. Havent made a purchase decision as of yet but based on our experience, will definitely consider Window World. Also, the lifetime transferable warranty is a great selling point.
Really friendly staff. Just being real I didnt use their services. The company I work for (Jons tree service) was hired to do some light tree work around their facility. But my interaction with the employees was pleasant.
The crew were on time and went straight to work. The were very professional and most curtious. The crew leader explained what they were going to do and explained the window functions yo me. They cleaned up every scrap. Very good job! I have recomended Window World to several of my friends. Thanks Window World for a great job at a great price.

I reached out to Window World and left a thorough voicemail with interest in a quote and installation of 14 windows. Two weeks later I get a call asking how they can be of assistance. Since the day I left a voicemail Ive had two companies come out, take measurements and provide quotes within 3 business days. Ive paid for windows and scheduled installation with companies who care. Window World was a disappointment. If their response time is two weeks for a return phone call, I wonder what the customer service would be like if after paying $4,200.
Well its been 11 weeks since i ordered 2 large window. knowing the size of these windows paid fully up front to show how serious we are . they came in in early December. telling me they can install first week of February ordered them late October
From start to finish of our window project, Window World of Birmingham was FANTASTIC. We ran into bad weather during our installation, but the crew did a wonderful job paying attention to the weather while keeping our project going to finish in a timely manner. They cleaned up well and made sure no moisture or water entered our home when the rain became more than a sprinkle. For future window needs, we will definitely choose Window World again and recommend their product and services to those needing replacement windows.
I used Window World of Central Alabama a couple of years ago for a $4000+ order. It took nearly a year for them to get the windows installed after multiple trips to my home. I had to supply a ladder on two of the failed trips. When it was all said and done, they left the window screw cover caps off one of the big windows and never have come back to replace them- after multiple calls. I would not recommend using this company. In fact, when someone asks me what company is on the top of my worst list, Window World is still on top.Update: Since this review, Window World came out and finally finished the job. Apparently, they are under new management and are trying to build things back up.
They do great work. They really do stand behind their product and the warranty. One call, I even admitted window was totally my fault accident, baseball through window, no problem, window replaced. Highly recommended honest company
It took a while to get our windows, but once we received them, the work went flawlessly and they had the job completed within two days. The salesman, Bruce Craig, was very patient and understanding. He answered all of my questions and showed me what my windows would look like. In addition, the crew who installed our windows were very polite and got straight to work. The wait is long, but the final product is worth it!
Excellent product. The salesman, office personnel and installers are all great! My only complaint is that it does take a number of weeks to get the windows or doors ordered and installed. But the end result is worth it. I highly recommend them.

We have replaced all 15 of the windows in our home. The most important reason for my very good rating is because of the Window World manager Kyle. He did a fantastic job. His knowledge, problem solving and management of the project was excellent. There were a few bumps with the installation, however they were clearly the best choice of the many companies I looked at. Highly recommended.

I have agreed to revise my review after the company has an opportunity to fix and REPAIR the issues we have with this install. So far, all the management has been responsive. Although there are still negatives, the inconvenience of the repairs and the work taking up more of our time than was planned...hopefully there will be an improvement for this review and our experience. I will update this at the end of it all. DAY TWO; Day 2 of what we were told would be a 1 day job. Last night they were here working until 8pm. Meaning I could not use my kitchen or fix dinner and still had to move furniture to get to our bed. Another day/night with no privacy or window coverings. We had plans for tomorrow, however it looks like we will still be dealing with this. Today they didnt show up until 1pm. Costing my husband another day at his job. Now we are told they dont have the materials to FIX the DAMAGE they did yesterday! One of them is CONSTANTLY on his phone (while on ladder, while working) to a woman. Hes the one that caused the most damage yesterday. If he put his phone down and worked with both hands, maybe the quality of their workmanship would improve and get done on schedule?! If I hear oh we can Caulk that one more time! I would suggest asking whatever company you choose if they have their own Installers or do rent unknowns like WW does?UPDATED from a 1 to a 3 star review.Although the process was long and irritating...the management did try hard to make it right. And finally the defective windows and damage were repaired or replaced. The product...the windows...we were very pleased with. We would even consider WW for our new home if they could assure us their installers were not a bunch of unskilled illegals that really were not professionals.The WW Management went above and beyond to make it right, I would give them 5 stars if it were a review about them, but it’s not.
Installers were the best part of this deal. Job is stillNot complete, but it’s due to sales person. Asked for all windows to be replaced and yet one window was missed??? But I wasn’t give the list of windows measured, just told a number. Didn’t realize one large was actually 2 smaller windows. Not happy!!! And still haven’t been sent “estimate” for final window. Talk about customer service. Glad they stand behind their windows, not their customer service.Updated: did get missed window at cost, they came out and installed it very quickly. No problems with windows. Very good, easy to clean and am enjoying them greatly!!
The wait was quite long (about 4 months) but was worth it to us. We loved the product and the installers were top notch. Great quality windows and we couldnt be happier. This has been the most horrible experience of my life!!! Today, the day of the install when I have removed all objects, window coverings, brackets and furniture from around the windows, and took off work, I get a call from WW saying that due to the weather they will not be able to install my windows today!!! What??? They called on Friday to confirm. I asked about the weather and was told unless it was raining hard, the install would take place. It’s not raining here. Cold, yes but not raining. Well apparently they did not convey that message to the installers. I paid WW on August 27th here 14 weeks later and 15 days till Christmas....no windows! It probably wouldn’t have been so bad if during this time I would have gotten periodic updates but unless I called them I got Nothing. I am so angry, disappointed and dissatisfied with this company, I wish I’d paid more and went with the competitor. And now I’m stuck. Think long and hard before you commit to this company. They will cash your check quickly and then make you wait forever. Never again, no recommendation, no referral, just the plain truth, Window World gave me the worst customer service of my lifetime. I hope this was an isolated event and this company isn’t as sorry as it seems to me. I did just get a call from a regional manager stating that the reason they aren’t coming is also due to the installer having an accident and his vehicle is disabled. Wow. I just hope this helps someone else consider all options before they make a decision about window replacement. Cheaper doesn’t always mean better. 12 Dec follow on review. Well the windows are in and they are so beautiful, totally enhanced the comfort and appearance of our home. I give top block to my installers! Courteous, professional, punctual and skilled artisans. Although I was very dissatisfied with WW customer service, these installers were the saving grace.
There is a serious communication issue from start to finish on these instillations. Time lines are off, originally 6-8 weeks, my windows are being installed today, 10 weeks and 4 days from giving first check. I am waiting on the windows to be installed to list my property to sell and it has been more than frustrating getting to this point. They did however give me a generous discount for the delay and a couple other scheduling issues that came up. Great windows at a great price but work needs to be put in on fulfillment/delivery of services.
Im part of a crew that works here. We come everyday (besides the days we are off) to pick up windows or other stuff we might need for a job. The windows are affordable and if you go to the bank and they approve they will pay for the job and you can pay them back per month or however your bank does it. We also do doors.
Working with the sales representative at the beginning was great. He was very patient and knowledgeable to explain the products, the installation process/timeline, and the financial options. Scheduling was much more difficult as I had to make initial calls and was told install would be a month later than planned. After I posted a poor google review and they learned we were trying to put our house on the market, they reached out to us and scheduled our installation for the next day. One of our windows has some scratches (very obvious since we have dark colored vinyl) so we are waiting to hear how they’ll correct that. Otherwise the window installation itself went smoothly and they look great.

Excellent customer service very pleasant estimate experience!
(Starting at 4 stars) Good on the front end. The salesman, being a typical salesman, did a good job of selling the product, was knowledgeable, and reachable with additional questions. The scheduling was very flexible with my availability as well as my flexibility with their availability due to rain in the area. There was a drop of the ball once concerning scheduling when a date was missed but was resolved.The real complaint I had with the whole experience was the actual installation. (Down to 3 stars) I had 9 windows to be installed and the installation was scheduled on a Wednesday between 12PM - 2PM. The crew of 2 installers show at 3PM, one leaves for lunch just after 5 and gets to a stopping point around 8 with about 2 hours of work to go. I cannot wrap my head around this business model of showing up in the late afternoon to install 9 windows. Installation told me they would be back bythe weekend to complete the project.(Down to 2 stars) I receive a phone call from scheduling that installation will return on MONDAY to complete the project. I ask the lady to explain the business model and her explanation was that the smaller jobs are completed in the earlier part of the day and the larger jobs in the later part of the day so that if a job is not complete on the scheduled day, installation can return the NEXT DAY to complete (which is obviously not true if scheduling is calling to schedule on a Monday and the project started on a Wednesday).Installation did show on Monday to complete the project. Overall, the windows are sealed with no notable leaks, function as expected, and look great. I also have vinyl siding and gutters coming soon. We will see how this part will go.In summary, I am pleased with the result of the purchase and installation. My knock on Window World is the installation and the response from scheduling as it pertains to installation. Dont look to get things complete in a timely manner (manufacturing time not included).
My husband, Clint Thompson, left a review after our window installation. In your response you stated “ we will reinstall your faith in us”. Well, you haven’t. Your siding contractor dropped his trailer of siding in our yard on 11/27/17 and stated “Oh, this is an easy job.” ( our house is basically a rectangle) The gentleman showed up on 11/28/17 and worked from 8:00 am until 1:00pm. I realized they weren’t coming back and picked up the tool belts and sweat shirts the left lying in my yard so I could let our dogs out. On 11/29/17 they worked the majority of the day. 11/30/17 was another partial day as it was raining, but this is also the last time anyone has worked!! 11/30/17 I have siding and insulation just strewn everywhere! Their tools are strewn everywhere! No one can seem to give us an answer as to when this job will be finished. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE!! I would not recommend your business to my worst enemy!
I love my windows! My electric bill has literally been cut in half since my new windows were installed! Customer service team is amazing!
A great value, quick installation, quick rework response. Customer Service has been perfect, really feel like they are putting forth their best effort. Julie was wonder to work with as was Rhett. Definitely recommend Window World as a perfect window replacement.
They did a great job at a fair price. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the wait time. It was mid July when I hired them and we just got the windows installed on Sep 21st. I think this is because they are so back logged. I will end with this. It was worth the wait because the price and on job site service was great. Thanks to all involved and I will be scheduling more work with Window World in the future.

Excellent! Our home is so enjoyable with our new windows. We had Window World in stall our windows in October and the technicians were professional and worked until the job was finished. They cleaned up behind themselves and also respected our home to the fullest. This has been the coldest winter in the south that I have ever experienced and our home has and even temperature throughout thanks to our new windows from Winder World.
Great windows awful service missed promise times several times and when finally showed up the last door didn’t fit, they made it seem like it was our fault but we didn’t measure the door their salesman did. They said they can make it fit and on their second trip out forgot to bring door so we had to reschedule again. Third trip they made it fit with added moldings but they were white against a brown door, they did paint them to match but acted like they were doing us a favor. Then four days after the install we noticed an odor and found where the installers had unplugged our freezer to use their power tools and did not plug it back up, we lost everything in freezer. I emailed them over a week ago and have had no response. In total I spent over $20,000.00 dollars with this company and they don’t care.
