Clean, nice, pleasant, and easy! Wash & Go Laundry at Palisades shopping center. They have lots of machines so you can walk right in and get to washing, and lots of laundry carts, so no long waits. I frequent this business when I am residing in the Homewood area, mainly because of location convenience and, after returning about 10 times, I have yet to not find a machine open for me to do a load of clothes. Sometimes the clientele can appear a bit sketchy, but honestly no one has ever bothered me or hassled me for anything. Theyre just people too who need to get some clothes cleaned to wear the next week or whatever, and if someone is getting a little rowdy or questionable I have seen staff pulling them aside to chat and, once, a person was asked to leave and return later for their property because they were disturbing other customers. Obviously businesses cannot sit out front and frisk everyone, or have them pee in a cup to gain entry, so its not necessarily the staffs fault which customers decided to come do some laundry at 3am after hitting a pipe all day before they got there. If something doesnt look right, I mention it to an employee because I would like to believe everyone else does the same in order to keep a safe environment for everyone there. If everyone DID do that, I promise any riff raff will phase out sooner rather than later. All that said, I probably wouldnt recommend going late at night if you dont know how to interact with a couple of knuckleheads trying to be cool in front of their friends, which is quite rare anymore really, but Homewood PD is always right down the street if that helps anyone feel at ease...Bottom line, it may not be the prettiest laundromat in the land, but Id say it is a safe bet you will be able to get a machine when you get there, damn near every time. (And staff will refund any eaten quarters, or at least I never had any issues personally).

Fairly clean inside. People seem nice. The stupid $9 washing machine I used took $6 in change from me than decided to malfunction and counting at $3. Than stole $3 more before it decided to start counting again.

This is a NASTY facility. They have addicts and homeless stealing out of dryers and asleep on folding tables and nothing works and it steals money every time you try 13$ washer.Save yourself the time and misery as well as your money and find another place....

This was probably the worst laundry mat Ive been too. Could put my clothes in anything. It was trashy everywhere and it smells like a broken septic tank right underneath the building. If people are afraid of covid. Have no fear. This place is sure to make you ill.

I have nothing but good things to say! Employees are always helpful and courteous! I typically use their drop off option, and am always impressed. Price is by the pound, and rates are very reasonable. Clothes are always clean and neatly folded upon pickup! This service has been such a life saver for me! Thank you for always going above and beyond!

Good machines to wash/dry clothes. Sometimes it can get kind of get you upset when you did not know the machine works and started the machine or dryer.

Warning!!!! Do go there they will take your money. You put money in the dryers and your clothes will never dry after continuously putting quarters in the machine. They are a RIP off!! Stay away!

I WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN!!! SPENT ALMOST TWO HOURS JUST DRYING CLOTHES AND THE CRAZY PART IS I DIDNT EVEN FILL THEM UP I SPLIT THEM WITHIN 6 DRYERS ON HIGH HEAT AND MY CLOTHES STILL CAME OUT DAMP AND WET. I PUT THE DRYERS ON 30 MINS 3 TIMES AND THE WORKERS STAYED ON THE PHONE THE WHOLE TIME YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO ASK THEM ANYTHING IM SO GLAD MY DRYER WILL BE FIX NEXT WEEK!!

Prices are way too high and I don’t like that I can’t add things once I close the machine, if I spend my money here I should be able to open and close as I please ! Spent 20 just to wash clothes [not including drying ] ! Came here because the one I normally go to is closed due to EASTER next time I’ll just wait

Floors needed cleaning, I almost fell on dryer sheets and kids spilling drinks.

Too expensive for no reason. Theres no seating at ALL, and idle threats posted on the coin machines. I will NEVER come back here. Only used it because I was on this side of town.

It was ok. Bright and open. Pretty clean. Most of the washers and dryers seemed to be working. They are all high efficiency ( I dont care for that anywhere)

The attendant came thirty min from home late at night to handle an issue with her young kids and was not negative at all when the person who called was not around. She was very informative and asked everyone in there if they were okay. It’s nice to see someone that is ensuring that every customer is taken care of.

Knowledge of 24 hour/ 7 days a week laundromats were introduced to Jefferson County, Alabama and serves the individuals who are unable in affording a washer and dryer at a certain time in their life.

It’s a 24 hour laundromat, so I go during the predawn morning hours so I have the laundromat to myself. At that time of morning there is no attendant on duty so the restrooms are lock, which is understandable. The place is clean, quite, and no problems with the machines, as expected.

Always great and clean

I needed to have a new comforter cleaned due to having a non-potty trained puppy. A friend referred me to this laundry (he also had a comforter cleaned there - although his was delicate and expensive). They were finishing some interior upgrades (floor, paint, etc...). Jennifer was the attendant. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable. She promised my comforter back at a certain time. It received a text when it was ready (which was earlier than promised). I was very surprised to find that my comforter was very neatly packaged in a bag similar to the ones they are in when newly purchased. The cost was $25.00. I also met Prashant (the owner) when I picked up the comforter. He was very nice as well and gave me some coupons for future use. It is worth mentioning that the comforter smelled great for days after bringing it home! I would definitely return to this Homewood location.

Kind of bummed out that the machines only took cash and dont run off the prepaid laundry cards you find at most laundry mats. It was kind of messy and some of the dryers didnt work, but my clothes were clean so you cant ask you for much more than than [next time maybe they will be dry too]

They will keep your money if you dont have your laundry in your hands. My husband was buying soap next door and getting the laundry unloaded and ready to come in while I was getting quarters. He elected to not give me my initial $10 worth of quarters ( so glad I didnt put in the full $100) or my paper money back when I wanted to leave cause of his aggressively rude customer service. I had three trunk loads of laundry to do for a hotel I clean and was planning to use this place since our wash room is being renovated. Dont use this place especially if you are a woman and alone. That man was a thief who enjoyed behaving in a threatening way towards a solitary female. Stay safe ladies, save your money and go somewhere else. Dont be there alone. 24 hour convience is not worth being robbed or harrassed.

Clean facilities, an abundance of washers and dryers and its quiet.

Always clean, never have to wait for anything. The dryers do not burn your clothes. Id say this is a great place to wash clothes. Two things to keep in mind when visiting. The first is, if you know spanish.....well striking up a conversation shouldnt be that difficult. Second thing is, never leave your clothes unattended. If you do and you leave them too long, one of the ladies who works here will cuss you out!

The owner need to do more maintenance to the washing machine and dryer my first time here and Ill never come again

Been coming here for almost 2 yrs. Needs a fix. Machines are breaking, some dryer doors not staying shut... not consistently clean anymore....I used to love it here...

Pretty much a standard washeteria. But the dryer prices are extremely costly. 25 cents for 5 minutes. Was clean and parking overflow is located near the Wal-Mart around the corner.

Roaches everywhere, baby roaches, momma roaches, papa roaches, grandma roaches and great grandma. The danger is that you can bring clean clothes home but roaches too. Stay away negative 4 stars.

Was calling around looking for a al night laundry facility and I called no one answered but I immediately received a call back from a different number a woman was very kind in telling me they had several locations and she told me exactly where to go and they were all night.I appreciate her help.

I was there on a Wednesday at 3pm. No one was there to manage this establishment.Vending machines were unplugged and or not working, and the dryers three heat settings were all the same: blistering hot, my work shirts, only in for 10 minutes now have permanent wrinkles, they were originally wrinkles less fabric.

If I could give zero stars I would the washer I was using malfunction and never filled up with water so I cancled it and move to a different washer I called to report the problem while I was still in the facility I was told because I moved my clothes I couldnt get my money back I will never come here again I am beyond angry its not my fault that the washer is broken
