Even though I’m in Australia, I’ve been booking my hotel stays with the USA-based Brownell Travel as one team member, Deborah Barth is a real star. I had booked with Deborah / Brownell based on a google search years ago and found her incredibly proactive and willing to assist me with the many questions plus requests I had. I booked again a few months ago but had to cancel due to Covid restrictions. Again, Deborah was happy to assist with no questions asked. I may be on the other side of the world and in a completely different Timezone but she’s still so responsive and speedy and accomodating. Highly recommended from me.

I just deliver food to that place, but they by far have the best reception room of any other office Ive been in. They have like a stone statue, flags, paintings, and a full kitchen stocked with what looked like fuzzy alcoholic drinks. Also they tip pretty well, so Id recommend advertising to them if you do catering.I dont actually know what they do there.

Brownell did an excellent job booking a hotel stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. for my son and me. They connected us with the wonderful concierge service there who was able to book us a lunch we were unable to get otherwise, as well as tickets to Lincolns Summer Cottage. Brownells Virtuoso perks included a food/spa credit in addition to breakfast each morning at the MO restaurant downstairs or continental in-room dining. What a treat! Would recommend Brownell again, even for a straight-forward, domestic hotel booking!

Im on week 2 and no return call or email from this travel agency after sending 2 emails via the contact email link on their website, after calling twice and once leaving a voicemail message and after sending a direct email to one of their travel advisors. Weve now located a travel agency that wants to assist us.

Brownell planned a special birthday trip and booked a hotel for a business trip, and my Advisor took each trip to the next level. Brownell is one of the most professional companies I have ever worked with, and their knowledge and industry relationships cannot be beat. Highlights from my birthday trip in Chicago include an upgraded room at The Peninsula and a chilled bottle of champagne and cake waiting when I arrived. When I returned to Chicago for business a few month later, I didnt expect much from a simple hotel booking, but I was wrong. Brownell is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner, and I was upgraded to a gorgeous 1-bedroom suite with a sweeping view of Lake Michigan. Plus in both hotels I had access to Virtuoso amenities and was treated like a VIP! If you need a hotel booking or are planning a big trip, Brownell is the agency to use!

They have great service

This review is to address the unprofessional experience I had with Katherine Norton at Brownell Travel Agency. We chose Brownell for our honeymoon after extensive research on their 5-star reviews; however, our experience was anything but that. After 4 months of planning my honeymoon, one day after an in person meeting that I felt went very well, I received an email several hours later from Katherine telling us that she was dropping us as clients without any explanation other than we were “not a good fit for Brownell”. We were blind sighted by this email, since during out meeting Katherine expressed a desire to continue working with us to meet our goals even offering for us to come back to the office for additional meetings. She was completely two faced and left us scrambling to plan a honeymoon without any connections or plans within 3 months. With the experience we had, we would NEVER recommend Brownell Travel to any of our friends or family. I am shocked by the way we were treated and the lack of professionalism exhibited by this company. Also, it should be noted they will charge you a $300 fee to work with them, which I later found out is not standard and most travel agents will never charge a fee.

Brownell planned an incredible trip to New England for my wife and me. Brownell’s level of professionalism and deep knowledge of the destination was extremely impressive. When something came up a week before the trip, we had to postpone our departure by a day. Our Coordinator quickly made the adjustments to the itinerary without a hitch, avoiding what would have been a stressful situation had we booked on our own. Brownell is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner and in the Virtuoso network, so we had upgrades and added amenities throughout the trip and were treated like VIPs.The view from our upgraded room at the Four Seasons in Boston was amazing, overlooking Boston Common and the Public Garden. The White Barn Inn in Kennebunkport was beyond our expectations, with another upgrade, a spa experience and an unbelievable dinner.Each Maine hotel had its own ambiance, from the rustic structure of the White Barn Inn to a wide-angle view of the ocean at the Inn by the Sea. The Inn at Sunrise Point was an especially inviting place with wonderful breakfasts served by the owner and cozy, warm accommodations in a cottage with a private deck looking out on beautiful West Penobscot Bay.Our Brownell Travel Coordinator did a fantastic job for us, and we can’t wait for Brownell to plan our next adventure!
