Got my bridesmaids dress altered (including hem, shortening straps, and filling in cut outs) and returned back even earlier than expected, it was completely perfect and no changes needed! Worth the price and all of my family has been going here for formal events for years
I went to get measured for a bridesmaids dress. I was told to find a picture of the dress I was to be measured for. As I was trying to pull up the dress, I was then told I am sorry I got in trouble for measuring someone before and I am not good at doing measurements. Now this is supposed to be a professional place for alterations, so measurements are involved. Do you really think I am that stupid? Just be honest of your real reason for not wanting to measure me. As I can see from the comments before mine it appears you do excellent measurements. I will be sure to tell everyone about this experience.
I have been seeing Mrs. Chau for several years and have had only 1 slight incident. I had a pair of pants not taken up correctly in the seat. I took them back and they were fixed. She has hemmed and taken up clothes for me a long time. I recommend her work. She is very skilled in her work.
They were really good.
Awesome job. owner was great to me, wife says shes rude.
This lady can alter anything! Been using her services for years
Absolute nightmare...I went in around the end of October with my wedding dress. Chau told me to come back after I had all of my undergarments that I would wear on the wedding day and to come right at opening so that she was in the mood to deal with a wedding dress. I guess I shouldve ran for the hills then, especially seeing that she wouldnt even look at the dress. I went back about a week later after buying a corset, strapless bra, the whole 9 yards. She didnt even have me put the dress on! (And I was uncomfortably standing there with a corset under my clothes.) She looked at my dress, asked how much the bust needed to be let out, and said that she could put 2 inches of paneling on each side, under my arms. She then told me to come back at the end of March, 4 weeks before my wedding! She didnt want to work on the dress so early, unlike most places, and she told me to come back with matching fabric for her to create the paneling. The total cost for these panels would by around $200. She ended the day by lecturing me for 45 minutes about needing to go to the doctor to have him stop my period for the honeymoon, or the entire marriage will be cursed and itll be all my fault! Exact words! I ended up going back 5 weeks before my wedding day only because she was recommended by the fantastic place that I purchased my dress from. When I went back the 3rd time, dress in tow and undergarments on, she had me go into the dressing room and put on my dress. When I came out, my dress was only half way zipped up, but I stood there for almost 20 minutes while she was on a personal call. When she got off, she told me to turn around. She looked at my dress and told me I cant do anything for you. WHAT?!? She never even got up from her desk! I was 5 weeks from my wedding with a dress that didnt fit!! I ran down the road to a place that specializes in wedding dresses, begged them to take me, and thank goodness they did! And guess what? My dress DID fit without any alterations (I hadnt lost any weight), while Chau, on that very same morning, said that I was too large for my dress! The new place had me take off all of those undergarments and they zipped the dress right up! I didnt need the $65 strapless pushup bra Chau had me purchase, nor did I need the $80 corset and the $15 worth of fabric she had me purchase. I ended up wasting money going to her just for her to refuse to work on my dress 5 weeks before the wedding! I was livid! Anyways, brides, dont waste your time!
I only went in for measurements, but the staff was very helpful and willing.
The best!
Has helped me countless times with many dresses and pantsuits for formal occasions and pageants!
