I was quoted from David’s Bridal in alterations way more than what my dress cost so I looked for other options. From what I heard this was a good place, maybe it was under someone else doing alterations. I brought my dress here back in March and pointed out what I needed done, dress and straps taken in, bustle, and to replace the buttons. The first appointment she was an hour late because she forgot about my appointment. I said it’s okay and moved on. Came here in July, dress was taken in perfectly but did not have the bustle or buttons on there. Come today which is a week before my wedding I’m having to go buy buttons and get my cousin to sew them on because she didn’t do them!!!!! Still had to pay $350 for hell and a headache. Please don’t do business here unless you want poor professionalism and quality.
This was probably the most painless part of the wedding planning. They were great! I was wary at first because the fitting process was a whirlwind (the whole thing took 15 minutes). But the final product was amazing! It fit like a glove. I almost backed out of having the cleaning done because it wasnt that bad, but boy am I glad I didnt. It looks brand new! I will definitely be going back for preservation. Im a bride on a tight and tiny budget and they took a secondhand dress and made me feel like a princess. And finally, the turnaround was so fast. I brought it in on Saturday and it was done on Wednesday. Much quicker than the estimate they gave me. Overall, a great experience and if I could give them 6 stars, I would.
34 year old wedding dress cleaned to perfection. They are very knowledgeable and take extra care. I also took a 60 year old baby bib to be cleaned and it was pristine when we got it back~
I came to the “wedding gown specialist” to finish altering my dress. All it needed was the straps to be fixed and bustles added to the back. It took TWO times for the seamstress to “finish” AND she got my brand new dress dirty in the process. I had to pay her for the alternations AND an extra 150 to have it cleaned. Turns out the alternations were STILL not ok when i got home and I had to get a seamstress in my hometown to fix it since both the straps were coming out and the bustles were crooked. The hometown seamstress made my dress perfect for 25 dollars? Going to this place cost me over 200 dollars and a lot of stress for absolutely NOTHING in return. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the staff was very nice and they were able to get the the seamstresses marks off of my dress, but unfortunately at my expense.
Champion Wedding Gown Specialist did a great job cleaning my dress and preserving it after my wedding. They were honest about expectations and very knowledgeable about types of fabrics and care for each one. I would highly recommend their services!
I took my dress to Champion Gown Specialists to be let out, sew on my bridal sash, take in the straps, and possibly hem. The prices were great in comparison to other places and the turn around quoted was quick (which they met).During my second fitting, I informed the seamstress that the straps felt too tight that she had pulled up. She said that if she loosens them they would fall, but I said it was painfully too tight and she said I would be fine once she took the cups out. At my wedding, the straps dug into my arms and was really painful. I had marks right under my underarms for 2 weeks! Which, I posted a photo of.Also, I had the dress let out. There were multiple layers in the dress, but when she put it back together I guess she did both sides unevenly. The dress seam kept turning around my body which made me severly uncomfortable and you can see the bulge that created in my photos.Unfortunately, I did not realize that the sleeves would dig in and be that uncomfortable or that the seam would spin around my body until wearing the dress on my wedding day.
I want to thank Bridal Gown Preservation for coming to the rescue at the last minute! My daughter had many issues at another establishment getting her new wedding dress altered. It was finally ready for pick up on a Friday evening and the wedding was Sunday! The alteration shop could not press it and we were stuck. We called around and finally reached the owner of your shop.Thank you so much for taking it last minute and pressing it within just a couple of hours! Youll never know how much it meant to us. And the price was great!
I read reviews of this place and thought it was going to be perfect to do just a few alterations on my wedding dress. Walking in the place, it was super hot and humid. They put me in a tiny room without a mirror to put on my wedding dress (which my mother and grandmother were also in there to help me get it on). It was so cramped, hot, and miserable. A foreign lady was there to alter the dress and once I got the dress on and situated, she acted like we were inconviencing her the entire time and was in such a hurry. She had a mirror that was broken in half and I couldnt even look in the mirror to see if I liked the pinning she had done. There wasnt even a step stool for me to stand on so that I wasnt stepping on my train. I asked her to make sure I didnt look crooked in it since I have scoliosis and she totally dismissed that, told me she had another appointment and left. Needless to say, we took my dress elsewhere. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend anyone to waste their time going there.
