Ive been going here for a couple years now and theyve never disappointed. I went in yesterday for my appointment with Maddy and she did an amazing job, she took a little longer than a normal haircut but that was totally fine because I could tell she was really taking her time and focusing on all the little details to make my hair look perfect. I will 100% be back soon.

Booked an appointment with Maddie 1 month in advance, apparently she had some emergency and needed to abruptly take time off but I wasnt notified so I drove out to Beverly on a Saturday morning for absolutely nothing. One of the barbers tried to make it right and get me to wait 40 mins, as he had someone who just sat down in his chair but I declined because I had plans that day, I didnt have time to wait around AND THEN sit down for a haircut, wasting nearly 2 hours in a barber shop on a Saturday morning is not what I had in mind when I scheduled my cut a month in advance and should have been notified the barber I had an appointment with was no longer available. I am sure they would have been quick to charge me a fee if I didnt show up or call, it works both ways. Just really unprofessional on their part. For that reason, I wont ever be back.

I did some research and chose to bring my son here after having a not so pleasant experience at another local barbershop. The haircut at this other location was okay- but what upset me was that the guy thinned my sons hair without even asking me permission. I do not like when barbers thin my sons hair, and I always specifically tell them what I want for my sons hair before they cut it. So I chose to never bring my son back to that particular barber shop and look for a new one.I researched The Barbers Edge on google and read amazing reviews so I decided to book online with Maddy; the booking process online was very easy and we created my sons appointment. She had great availability and the salons hours were good as well. I noticed for this area that $20 seems to be the standard rate for boys haircuts; its somewhat pricey but when I find a great stylist, its worth it.When we arrived at the barber shop, Maddy was ready for us and I explained to her how I wanted to have my sons hair cut. I also showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked her to please not thin my sons hair. She said she wouldnt and proceeded to start my sons cut.I noticed that everyone in the barber shop was very friendly and welcomed my family in. I prefer to go to local businesses when possible and always enjoy having my sons haircuts at local barbershops. This definitely has the feel of an old school style barbershop and was nice and inviting on the inside. There is a little area to sit and relax while your family member gets their haircut and the barbers make conversation with everyone, which I thought was super friendly and nice.Maddy was very thorough with cutting my sons hair and meticulous; I could tell she was taking her time, but was also punctual and did not go over her time with us.My son typically does get a bit uncomfortable as the back of his neck starts getting really itchy from the hair, but I noticed Maddy was working to get as much hair off his neck as possible. He seemed to be alot more relaxed during this haircut; I also noticed that her personality and demeanor really had him relaxed.My sons hair looked fantastic and Maddy offered him some suckers for doing such a good job in her chair. My family and I felt very comfortable with Maddys service and appreciate how great my sons haircut was. She provided excellent customer service and was very attentive to us; we will be returning again. Thank you Maddy and to the great customer service at The Barbers Edge!

This is my first negative review on Google Maps. I went there once three years go. I am posting just now because they keep sending me marketing emails even though I have unsubscribed to each one for years. I reached out to let them know I would give them a bad review if I got another email, so here we go.Unfortunately, I have reason for a bad review apart from their email marketing. My barber stopped cutting my hair two different times he stopped to answer his phone for personal reasons. Moreover, I specifically said I did not want a fade (I got a fade). And despite making an online reservation (which is how they have my email address), I still had to wait 30+ minutes for my appointment. I hope current customers can expect a better experience.

Went here for a haircut and shave after spending three months recovering from a motorcycle accident. Excellent service and the best shave I have ever had, Anthony was my barber and he did an awesome job. Highly recommend this place over standard chain haircut places.

Ive been getting my hair cut here exclusively for 2 years. They do a great job and I love the atmosphere. Theyre the same price as a Sports Clips but they provide high quality professional cuts. I cant recommend them enough.

Recently I visited Barbers Edge. I really wanted to like this place. I chose it based on google reviews. I wished I checked out Yelp.When I walked in and my chair was covered with leftover hair maybe that should have been a red flag. My barber proceeded to use towel to clear out the left over hair. Waving and swatting the hair clumps like they were annoying flies. Not a vacuum or hair blower, but waving a towel at the hair.I am bald on the very top and my hair, which waves and curls, is cut best with scissors. So when I asked that they use scissors to cut my hair, the barber told me my sides needed to be trimmed by using a razor. That should have been red flag number two. Previous barbers and stylists have done fine jobs with scissors only.The bottom line is the sides were cut too deeply and uneven. This was by far one of the worst cuts I’ve experienced. But the real fiasco came just after the barber finished and proceed to remove my apron laden with a huge amount of my finely cut gray hair residue. He shook it over me. Yes, SHOOK the apron right over me causing me to be covered from head to toe with small hair residue. I was wearing a black shirt and my collar was literally spotted with gray hairs. Another barber, or maybe it was the owner, made a stupid reference that my hair just doesn’t want to leave me. OMG! Thank goodness I had a spare shirt in my car which I could change into. Never again will I get my hair cut from Barbers Edge. By the way it took me two washings to get that shirt clean. Stay away.

Went in to get my haircut on a Friday afternoon... loved the haircut at first, but the barber (JC) butchered my neck with the straight edge razor. I have cuts, razor burn, and bumps all over the back of my neck and near my sideburns. I didnt realize how bad it was until my girlfriend took some pictures and showed me, and saw that I was still bleeding in multiple spots. I went to call to talk to them about it... but the place closed 4 hours early! I called about 6 times and nobody picked up, and this is at 3 pm on a Friday, when their hours say that they are open until 7 pm. The big take away? Never coming to this place again... not unless I want a bloody and scarred neck!! Look elsewhere for your haircut.

I walked in looking like Robin Williams after he came out of Jumanji and Horell, the owner, gave me one of the best haircuts Ive ever had, if not the best. I gave him all of 4 sentences on what I wanted and he went from there and absolutely killed it. Just moved to Beverly and Ive been dying to find a new go-to barber. Happy to say I found one and its literally steps from my house, you cant beat any of that.

The barber in the first chair cut my brothers hair and did it quick. He came out liking the cut alot and it didnt break his wallet. Great service friendly and professional A+

Went here for the first time in desperate need of a haircut, I arrived at 3:30 as a walk in on a Saturday, They close at 4:00, I was one of the last people in line and was half expecting at 4:00 or shortly there after if I hadn’t been called to be given something like “sorry man but it’s 4 I don’t have any more time” but I got the complete opposite. At just after 4:00 I sat down in the chair of Barber Jancarlos who asked me what I wanted for a haircut. I told him I wanted to take the sides down pretty short and about half off the top he asked me two very simple questions and got right to work. I have to give it to him he’s quite a talented barber and works extremely fast paced and being that it was my first time there I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to walk out with. In the end when I stood up and looked in the mirror I was shocked at what a great job Jancarlos had done. For me I generally like the way my hair looks best a couple weeks after a haircut, but Jancarlos gave me the haircut I’ve been trying to achieve for years. If you haven’t gathered already the men at The Barbers Edge are worth every penny of your money, they do a great job, they don’t miss a hair, extremely friendly and just excellent. I will definitely be going back that’s for sure and I would recommend any one in need of a simple buzz cut and beard trim to a full blown long hair to stylish crisp like fade on the sides with a light trim on top, any haircut you need go to these guys they’ll get you looking your best.

Like most people, I have gotten a haircut every month for as long as I can remember. NEVER have I had one like the ones I get at this barbershop. The haircuts are INCREDIBLE and boost self esteem more than any other thing. Not only are these the best haircuts of any place you will ever visit, but the prices are lower than Supercuts and Sportsclips, while doing a much better job. The staff is friendly and really gets to know the customers by taking their time to do the best possible job. I love this place so much that I have driven from my house in Lexington all the way to Beverly just for these cuts. WARNING: Once you get your hair cut here, you wont be willing to go anywhere else

Quite simply the best shop Ever. Very original, the whole atmosphere is fantastic and Horrell is the best stylist and owner period. One of the most important aspects of a business is service, and the service here is perfectly consistent which for a business is very difficult to nail everytime. I drive close to 45 minutes, because it is that good. What needs to happen now is more barbers edge shops need to open all over with the same business model. Keep it up boys, flawless job.

Ive been going The Barbers Edge since they opened. There isnt many places you can go and they welcome you in like your part of the family. You will not regret going there and you might even think of switching from your old barber for good.

I have been to many barbershops and hair stylist over the last 2 years in search of one I can make my regular. Today, I went in after seeing this place online. I will never go anywhere else!Dominic Screnci is the barber who cut my hair. He is a kind hearted funny guy who will make sure you look as good as you can before walking out. He changed tools so many times making sure every detail was perfect!There are many TVs on to watch, music on in the background, and free WiFi access, but, I dont think you will need any of that as they barbers are so great to chat with before, during, and after your cut.Thank you Dominic and the rest of the staff at The Barbers Edge for making sure I left a happy customer. This place will definitely be my regular and I would recommend that anyone in need of a good haircut not pass this place by!
