My son was enrolled in daycare there and I just got to the point where I have just had it. The director literally does not even return your calls or email. You have no idea what your kid is doing there all day they dont even have an app to follow them like most daycares do. My son is 3 years old and they had him in a class with five year olds and wondered why he didnt listen like the other kids do in a class. They used to send my son home with food crusted all over his face. They told me he was in a class with older children because they were short-staffed. Also they let people from the apartment hang around the daycare. Horrible. No organization whatsoever. Do not send your child here.
Not worth 1 star. April 9th I drop off summer camp papers with a black gentleman at daycare door, was told I would get a call shortly. 2 weeks pass, no call received. April 19th & April 23rd I call in and was once again told I would receive a call back. May 3rd still no call received so I physically go to the Y to speak to someone, a white female with a faded haircut tells me the Director will call me. May 6th I leave a voicemail. May 7th yet again no call received, so I call again and am told someone will call me back. Today is May 15th and I still have not received any calls, nor have any of my in person attempts to speak to someone been successful. I have never experienced this type of service. Extremely poor management.
They are always so friendly!
Had fun working out in the pool
Weve sent both of our sons here for daycare and theyve gotten great care, lots of love and have learned a ton. My older son is fully prepared for kindergarten - he can read and is advanced in math, as well. Its a great daycare facility in that they provide free swimming lessons once your kids are 3, they have lots of gyms for them to run around in and the rooms in general are large. Would highly recommend. Like some others here, it can sometimes be hard to get a call back when youre trying to enroll but I think its mainly that the director and assistant director are sometimes subbing in the classrooms. That could be improved. But overall a great daycare with caring staff.
I wish I had a better review for the Y because I like the programs that they offer. I was very interested in putting my son in child care here. First I called a few times left messages for the child care director, not once did I receive a phone call back. I went to the facility talked to the director in person gave her my information I filled out the financial assistance papers right away. I waited a week still no phone call or email about enrollment like she promised. I called a few times left messages nothing in return. Finally 2 weeks later after my grandfather who is a member said something about it did I receive the enrollment papers in my email. I filled them out the same day, went to the Y handed them directly to the child care director she said she was going to go over the papers find my financial papers and call me with a start date for my son. I waited again for a week I heard nothing I tried reaching out by phone no answer no call back. I emailed her still nothing I sent the email again and right away she answers that she is out of town training and will review them when she gets back the following week. It’s now Tuesday of the following week and I still have not heard from here. Let’s just say I found another child care center and it only took me a couple days to get him enrolled. I understand people get busy I am a very patient person but it’s part of her job to enroll kids into her child care facility and it should not take a month and I should not have to chase a person to get him enrolled. Absolutely horrible.
Please answer my messages for a new enrollment. Just want to know if you have space for two kids.
New to the area. The local gyms are very sparse and not very nice. I have lived all over the US and this is area by far has the most limited and updated workout facilities. That being said of have joined the YMCA in Dallas, Austin, Detroit and Fremont, CA. The facilities were all modern, up to date and clean. My complaint about the Bethlehem facility is the website. LAME. Do they have a workout facility? Dont know. Do they have a lockerroom? Dont know. Does anyone there have a camera and maybe post a few pics? Do they have classes available? They need to work harder to get more members to pay dues
Considering I went to Daycare here at the Y when I was just a small child, I thought it was time to get a membership to explore what I couldnt as a child and see what they offer. Turns out, everything inside still looks the same which is good for me because I remember it all and it brings back memories. Ill have to say, the best thing is the gym. People work together when it gets too crowded, which really doesnt and if so, only lasts for under 20 minutes. No one ever bothers you, everyone is respectful and havent had a problem with any workers. Id say they are doing great.
I’ve called left messages no call back I even went as far as going in person wrote down in my information for my son start day care. No calls No emails no nothing what a waste of time. I gave up on this place
Good place for kids.moved here 7 years ago kids was entering junior high.I signed into the YMCA immediately. The membership price was very reasonable. Its good quiet neighborhood
UPDATED AGAIN, CHECK BELOW: I havent joined yet, but so far the staff has been extremely helpful in finding a way to help me find an affordable plan that helps since Im on disability. This particular YMCA has an indoor swimming pool. UPDATE: I had my first visit, how wonderful. Pool is nice and warm, has things to make working out helpful. Great for people with physical injury or other physical issues. They have classes to help you get started. Many types of machines to work out on and weight room, racketball, basketball, Walking area. Steam room, sauna, showers, lockers (bring your own lock). Blow dryers available. I felt great the first time there. UPDATE #2. Ive been going for months now. Im a walking novel of injuries and surgeries. I spend my time here doing what I call my handicapped laps in the pool for 3 hours everyday. They designate an area called PWW (personal water workout). There are other scheduled classes so you can find a time of day where PWW is available which they do have everyday, along with sectioned off lanes for lap swimmers. Slow and steady I go and its great. Great for the metabolism and stamina. Slimmed down to my goal weight!
Very much in need of maintenance...went in sauna and leg fell off of bench when I sat down and so did I! No one answered phone at 6:30 AM...they open at 5...got there to find pool closed. If someone would have answered the phone, it would have saved me a needless trip.Locker room shabbywith communal showers and some not functioning. Hot tub broken. Many lockers broken. I belong to Nazareth Y which is much brighter and in much better condition with a bright, wonderful pool. Probably wont come back to this one again!
This is a very old YMCA and its not easy to make money to fix or update everything unlike the other YMCAs or newer ones. I went to daycare here as a kid and everything is the same, which doesnt bother me, because the place is kept clean. The only true downside of the place is that the showers are open. A lot of teens may be uncomfortable using them, so I would consider they think about putting curtains around each showerhead so theres better privacy and kids are sitting in sweaty clothing.
The facilities are old but clean. I went into the men’s locker room and there was a big Trump for president flag on the lockers. What the heck. I can’t join a place that is so actively partisan.
Been going here for years staff is wonderful, get to play some great ball with good competition highly recomended to anyone.!!
I love my neighborhood YMCA! Reasonable membership price for swimming, running, weightlifting, etc.
They need to be more organized like the other YMCAs and with children with disability and they need to be able to have the learning skills and updated like the other ymcas .They need to understand to all children. They need the worker that are kids work there in learning skills class .I hope they do better and including there daycare center .Yes my kids are going somewhere elsa .Sorry for local fun.People nice there that work there but to they dont understand what to do around children. They dont understand there job.Swimming class needed be more organized. The other ymcas are so much nicer then Bethlehem ymca and understand .
I drop my daughter every morning at pre K 3Miss Maloney never see her smiling only for some kids and she dont assist all kids only the ones she like
Love it my child been here forever

Extremely disrespectful staff everytime Ive had a membership
I like this place

I hate the teachers👎👎
Me encanta este centro. Las máquinas de ejercicios limpias y en muy buenas condiciones. También la piscina limpia y con una temperatura perfecta. Sauna, cuarto de vapor y duchas en muy buenas condiciones. Lo recomiendo 100%
