Our technician was on time and very professional. He clearly explained what he was doing and reasoning. I’m confident that the problem we had is taken care of. I also appreciate the detailed report following the exterior inspection. The technician also took his shoes off when entering the house, which I appreciated!

Aaron Kitt is the technician assigned by Capitol Pest to treat my house. He is on time and thorough. I don’t often see him when he arrives early to do regular inspections and exterior treatments, however when I do see him he is friendly, knowledgeable and engaging and listens intently to my concerns.

I had a bad nice problem. I caught nine on my own and they were still coming so we called the pest company. They required us to sign a year contract because they said it’s needed to control rodents. a week after they first came there were four mice in the traps they set when they came for their second visit. 11 days later they came again for their third visit which is today and there were no mice caught, no mice droppings or activity anywhere. Hooray!! We had them spray for ants inside when they came for the second visit because we saw a lot of ants. Since then we saw only one out and I was today so they sprayed again inside. The only thing I’m not totally happy with is the price/having to sign a years contract. Everything else is excellent! Alba our technician has provided excellent service!! The saying is you get what you paid for so overall we are extremely happy with the results!

I used Capitol Pest for my first 3 years at my home. They were great, price matched, always attentive, professional, courteous, on time and never complained when i wanted additional treatments. They did a great job and their products were effective.We tried to save a little bit of money and switched to a different company last year. While they were also great, their products were not as effective. Were back with Capitol Pest and couldnt be happier.No complaints and a totally satisfied customer!

Edward has been the technician that consistently comes to our home from Capitol Pest Control. He lets us know when he’s doing outside maintenance and he even offered helpful suggestions when servicing inside. It is helpful having the same person who knows our home and knows our concerns. We have seen a great improvement.

These people at capitol pest are proper clowns. My landlord has a contract with them for a row home and they were out around 15 times over three years. They were out monthly since January 2021 and not once have they actually fix the issue of extensive mice invasion. Towards the end we have gave up even trying to have the issue addressed because our lease is almost up and we are being treated really rudely by capitol pest.1. They typically don’t show up when they promise - t he most egregious example is when they showed up after 7 after promising 1-2pm.2. They do not do anything when they’re out. They sort of wander around and then shrug and walk out. I’m left having to fill all the holes that they ignore and don’t look for.3. They ignore what we have to say. I’ll explain where the mice are getting to and how they’re getting there and they’ll roll their eyes. “Uhh mice can’t climb up stoves”. Ok, well then explain why I’ve seen with my own eyes a mouse climb up the inside of the stove. I’ll explain where they’re getting in (because I’ll see them crawl out of a hole in the wall) and that it needs sealed and they’ll just shrug4. Biggest issue for me - They are rude and have bad attitudes. this might be an issue with the guy that got assigned to our case, but he’s very rude to us every time, and blames us for things that aren’t our fault. The last time he was here he literally did absolutely nothing. Multiple times I’ll explain the situation and they’ll just shrug and say not my problem. Friend, you’re an exterminator! You’re supposed to address our mice problems, not be rude to us! Whatever Our landlord is paying these people - they’re ripping him off.In short, these people are rude clowns...do not hire them. Find someone else. Maybe their normal service is fine, but if you’re a landlord looking for a contractor maybe look elsewhere.

Our technicians name was Robert and he was very professional. He knew exactly what to do after we explained the problems we were having. He even asked if he needed to wear protective gear over his shoes in our bedrooms which are carpeted-I absolutely loved it! We have a follow up visit in a few days. Ive already seen a positive difference with the treatment program he started.

Unprofessional in conduct and understanding of rodent control. Technician refused to answer specific questions about baits, effectiveness, methods, alternatives, etc. and instead said he only knew his limited procedures for what to do based on what the company scientist had recommended.We were told to buy and install rodent resistant wall filler ourselves and as well to check the traps they had laid down.After finally reaching the manager, he was nice enough to offer a one month discount, but the mouse problem did not get any better despite us following what they said and with their limited help and we canceled.It is suspicious to me that their reviews only go back a year or two when the company has been around much longer. It is possible to pay for reviews and I suspect given our all around incredibly bad experience this may be the case here.I strongly recommend anyone with a pest issue to look elsewhere.

I have used American Pest and Orkin and Capitol Pest is by far the better company. I assume they are better than many of the others out there that I did not use. They truly take care of you right from the moment you contact them. You feel like they truly care and listen to your issue. If you’ve been fighting unwanted guests for a long time with no progress, just feeling listened to goes a long way. Their initial evaluation over the phone was reassuring and helpful, they got someone out here within the following two days and when they did come out the tech spent almost 2 hours with me in my small home explaining his process and educating me (something that the other companies never did). Most of all he was polite and friendly and made me feel comfortable. The report I got was very helpful as well as it talks about the things you need to change in your home to prevent the critters from taking over your home like cleaning your oven or stopping water leaks and so on. Unfortunately I had to stop the service simply because I’m moving but I can tell you if they ever serviced my new area I would use them hands down. Don’t waste your time or money and go anywhere else but here.

We are updating our master bedroom and hallway bathroom. During this process we started seeing yellow jacks coming through our walls. I called a Capital Pest for emergency service and they sent someone the same day and no charge. After talking to the lady she believed we took care of the yellow jackets. But I opted for them to come back to open walls to try to ensure the nest or jackets are dead. They came back opened the wall and didn’t see anything. They didn’t charge me since they didn’t see the nest nor activity. This business is great. I love how they are truly an honest company and not charging me. I will be coming them for my bug needs. I scheduled a technician through Summit Hills Apartments in Silver Spring, MD to come out to my unit to spray for cockroaches. Robert Bonham was my technician and his service was excellent.I have lived at Summit Hills six years and half of that time, lived in ground floor apartments that have constant cockroaches adorning the spaces. I have had many technicians come out who usually spend a few minutes spraying common areas with little to no interaction needed from me. Robert, though, really made sure every nook and cranny was taken care of, including spraying outside my patio door and caulking up several areas that are common cockroach spots - something no technician has ever done previously. He even took the care to explain cockroach patterns (like the warm spaces in the laundry room, which is a common infested area and is just down the hall from my unit.) He further was able to explain some company history to me, so when I asked him how long he had worked for Capitol Pest, I was shocked when he said, one year.Not only was his service excellent, but his customer service was the pinnacle of my experience. In these times of isolation, his spirit and personability really made my day - who would have thought pest control would be the best part of a persons day!Ive noticed other Google Reviews noted Roberts excellent service. Ive been very pleased with Capitol Pest. We had ground bees which prompted my first contact. They dealt with them quickly and professionally. Recently, we discovered a mouse issue. Their technician, Michael, arrived right on time for the appointment, communicated very clearly what he was finding and set bait stations and traps. He returned two weeks later to see the results and let me know that things look to be OK, but that we can have things double-checked when we get our next quarterly insect treatment.

Robert was very kind and well-informed on the topic of wasps and how to deter them. He was able to answer all of our many questions re: these pests and made us feel safe again in our own apartment! Would highly recommend.

Have an old family home that is 40 years old and discovered a terrible mice infestation problem stemming from the garage and house. Overall, we had close to 200 mice (mostly in the garage and then they ran into the house). Capitol Pest came out an found the source, gave us solid direction on how to clear them, educated us about the kind of mouse and their habits and used innovative bait to eradicate them. We have been using the company for a couple of years. They are very responsive and knowledgeable. We had a huge sugar ant problem that I couldn’t fix on my own. Their product is non-toxic and does not smell at all. They treat interior and exterior. Very pleased with them.

We should have called as soon as we spotted a problem instead of trying to handle it ourselves- it would have saved us time, money, frustration, and upset. Trying to handle it ourselves just allowed the problem to get worse. Rates were reasonable.Edward explained everything well from start to finish, and did a quality job sealing entry points to fully handle the problem and prevent future recurrences. Really happy and grateful for their help!
