If you sign up for this gym on the monthly plan they advertise, you sign up for a contract that absolutely no one explains to you. It is impossible to cancel the contract for at least a year, regardless of whether you are happy with the club or not, and even if you request a cancel at the end of the year they continue to charge you for the next service month anyway.I only joined this gym because they offered a sauna. Within a week of joining one of the benches of the womens sauna was broken, and the sauna was routinely covered in baby oil. The patron who sprayed themselves down with baby oil in the sauna literally left the Johnson and Johnsons baby oil sticker in the sauna. I repeatedly informed the front desk of this, showing the guy the pictures of baby oil dripping down the door. I submitted a complaint through their website, after which the bench was finally fixed but baby oil continued to be present. I quit going because I can work out without a sauna at home, and tried to cancel my contract, which is when I found out what a scam their financial processor is.Save yourself some grief, dont bother signing up. Choose a different facility.

Wow.. new employees needed (guys) . Gym is nasty with trash laying all over, weights left on all machines Clean equipment after use but where is all the cleaning supplies to do so ???? Was much better before the move. Signs all over the walls but obviously the current high school employees don’t care about the work place, go figure with this generation. Go elsewhere if you want a cleaner more enticing workout environment. If you can put weights on machines then take em off .. y’all need to google gym etiquette..!!

The gym itself is very nice and clean, nice staff. However, Ive had a lot of money taken out of my account and have talked to the staff about it several times and nothing has been done. I have had over $160 taken out of my account, I got the $5 membership and have made sure i make the requirement for it. Respectful staff but id like my money to be in my account after talking to someone over 4 times now.

This new location is very clean and has a great atmosphere to work out at. The personal training with Angel is excellent and has really helped my mom and me.

Its a great gym if you are serious about fitness. If you are one of those people that like to socialize at the gym and sit around on machines and text then Pulse is not the gym for you. There is just enough space to get your lifting done and get out 24/7. They have great equipment and incorporated the hammer strength type machines with there recent upgrade. They also have classes for the ladies, supervised childcare, nicer tanning beds, and hydro massage chairs. Only thing I dont like is that the rate is 21$ flat, no options. Pretty sure the classes cost extra tho. But i dont use a tanning bed much, dont have a kid. I wish they would lower their price for the dudes that just want to bang the weights.

Great gym locally owned

I love my gym. I have been a member for over a year. The staff is friendly, the fee is very affordable, and the equipment is up-to-date. They offer classes as a part of your membership. If you get the $20 package, you can bring a friend for free during staffing hours, and you will have access to unlimited tanning. The have a great smoothie bar, too. Im very happy.

Need to upgrade equipment

I’ve canceled my membership multiple times with the mainline they give because you can’t cancel in gym, and it still keeps charging my account. I began the process when they told me due to the fact they started the $5 membership, my $22 a month no longer covered bringing a guest and any changes made had to go to the number (not listed on website) they provide. I dropped it to the $5 and was still charged for my other membership, so I called the next month and canceled- that was a few months ago. I’m still getting charged and it’s SUPER frustrating when it was supposed to have been canceled.

They need to invest in bigger dumbbells. I have to bring in duct tape an tape plates on the 100lbs just to be able to lift what I need to. If they would invest in bigger dumbbells then it would not be bad place to lift all. Going to wait it out an see if they do what they say they are. If not I’ll be looking for a different gym. Other then the lack of dumbbells not a bad gym.

My son, who is still in high school signed a contract with Pulse Fitness in Bryant shortly after his 18th birthday. The membership fees became too much for him and unfortunately, overdrew his bank account. When he finally came to me with this problem, I called and spoke to Barbara. I was told he owed over 160.00. This was mostly late fees and other related membership fees. Barbara was very understanding that even though he is a legal adult, he is still a high school student that didnt fully understand the implications of signing a contract. Also, he honestly just couldnt afford this. I assumed I would just have to pay off the contact and/or cancellation fees. She was kind enough to eliminate those late fees and just let me pay for the months he owed. This was my sons mistake, so I really appreciate her working with me to clear this up. As far as the quality of the gym, he was very happy with his membership and enjoyed his time there!

Edit: below are my previous complaints and 2 star review about Pulse from 4 months ago. Im happy to say, just a few months later, things have changed for the better! All the complaints have been addressed and dealt with. That goes a long way to me when the owners and management listen to the gym goers, and try to accommodate as much as possible! Great job guys!Gym is so-so, management is below par, and their classes are excellent....but...to drop in its $7.50 for $5 classes. Explain that. So to get the classes for 5 dollars, you have to buy multiple passes which are fine, but if you dont use them up either by the end if the month, or within one month (Im not sure which one since Ive been told both) they make you buy more and your other o especially just expire. Not a good way to sell classes

They misrepresented their contract and auto renewed without notifying me of the change in their terms of service. I tried to get them to contact me, and they only called using their staff and not the owners themselves. Finally, they could have admitted mistake and waived contract fee but instead are losing a member plus my friends. We will be going to 10 Fitness or Planet Fitness.

This mainly is a facility for womens exercise classes. Padding on benches is cracked open. Great thing is not crowed in weight area. Just lacks a positive atmosphere to workout; will not renew membership.

I love this gym. Was a member for a few years and lost my job. They helped me so much to get back in the gym. I really appreciate all the help I got! Would recommend this gym.

Would give zero stars if the option were available. Same issue as another reviewer with the cancellation. When you mail the letter theyll claim they never got it and continue to bill you for a couple extra months. The first month slips by as a thought they didnt get the letter in time. The second month is just free money for them. Management is terrible. The equipment is decent but always greasy feeling. No cleaning? In a gym? Really? You get what you pay for and with this place, it aint much.

HORRIBLE! It does not deserve even 1 star! I have been trying to cancel membership and after taking 2 payments out in April they are telling me I had to give a 30 day notice and another payment will be taken out this month! My daughter is a minor so no agreement should have been signed legally anyway! No they are asking for her birth certificate and a copy of the agreement...there was never an agreement signed! Plenty of kids go there and nothing is signed for them to become month to month members! Dealing with their billing place is a serious joke! I would NEVER refer anyone to this gym!

I would also give Pulse a zero star rating if I could. Like many folks, I too have had a worst time dealing with this gym. There are good reasons this club has to offer $10/mo memberships and its my opinion if they didnt, they wouldnt be around.Once I get my issue resolved, Ill post a complete write up of the events that took place. At this point, I too am considering calling an attorney and the Better Business Bureau.Save yourself some time and many headaches.

Sweet gym. $10 bucks a month doesnt hurt my wallet either. Always clean smelling and friendly staff makes me feel welcome

Nice equipment and overall a good gym for the average Joe. Its a little crowded during peak time (5-7).

They keep the fitness center clean and the staff is always happy anytime of the day or night. I normally go during 8 pm and the people are just doing their our thing.

Nice amount of equipment, going later at night is always a plus, and really positive atmosphere, especially for beginners.

I wish I could put zero stars! I utilized the location in Hot Springs and in order to cancel your membership, the Bryant office needs a hand written cancellation letter. The manager of the Hot Springs Branch told me that if I wrote a cancellation letter then she would hand deliver it rather than me mailing it. Needless to say, the Bryant location refuses to cancel my account or refund my any of the money that they owe me. This happened back in June of 2013 and it is not December of 2013 and I am still getting charged and Im having to open a lawsuit to get my money refunded. They currently owe me over $130 and are still charging me.They also claim that at first when the Hot Springs manager brought my letter they informed her that it would not work unless received through mail, I was never informed about this. When I did send a letter to the Bryant office, they claim they never received it. I guess Ill be mailing yet another cancellation letter! Not to mention Ive been in the Bryant area multiple times and I cant drop off a letter to the gym, it has to be received through the mail. This is ridiculous!

If you try and cancel you are SCREWED!! Hot Springs gives you Bryants number and then Bryant put me on hold for his manager and then I was on hold for over ten minutes. When I called back. They sent me straight to voicemail. Twice!! Ill be going up there. They had a normal customer trying to cancel that just turned into an irate customer all because they are attempting to ignore me because I want to cancel. Im sorry Planet Fitness seems to come in wherever you are and take over. That is not a susceptible reason for not allowing customers to cancel. Thats unacceptable!!! Theyre not even allowing me to downgrade my membership!!!!! I dont want to be with PULSE!!! Good Lord! Just let me be!!

Scam Warning, do not join this GYM! Waste of time and HUGE waste of money. Costing us a arm and leg just to try to cancel a membership. Canceled back in Oct. and were told we did everything but now getting bills saying we owe $300 and a $75 cancellation fee we were never told about. About to call the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the major headache and join any other gym!

Horrible!!! I joined at the bryant location. I had asked about the child care the provide seemed like a good plan...whatbthey didnt tell me was if i wanted childcare it locked me in a contract. It took me six months to get out. I had called and asked them not to take a payment out this month they said ok we wont. They did. So i called FINALLY got the manager in the phone after trying for months. She agreed to waive the 75 dollar fee to cancel, but refused to give my money back that i had asked them not to take out. Save yourself alot of stress and go to a different gym.
