Its a great place to get the haircut. Mack is my barber and he us extremely chill. He will make sure the haircut is upto expectations. They serve beer while cutting hair. How cool is that?

I scheduled an appt for a standard mens haircut. Night before, they postpone me out 15 min, which is fine. Next day, as I am driving to my apt, i get another text saying they are too busy and will need me to reschedule. At this point, I am already in the parking lot, so I go in to see if they can sneak me in for a quick trim. They go on to tell me they texted me to cancel because they dont do long mens hair (1. its not very long; 2. how would they know my hair is long without ever seeing me). Dont lie to your customer, and if you do, be better at it.

Great local barber shop. Tobias gives great haircuts every time with excellent customer service in addition. One comment, the reservation system should really say the shop isn’t currently doing shaves/beard trims. When trying to book along with a hair cut the system gives the impression that all barbers are fully booked. Top notch establishment regardless

West side barbershop was great. Had great covid protocols. Barbers were very friendly and helpful.Josiah was an excellent barber and a great guy to talk to. He was very thorough with my hair and gave me many options to make sure he was cutting it to my liking. It really felt like he cared about my hair as much as I did.. maybe even more lol. I absolutely would recommend West Side Barber Shop. While there are other barbershops in town, they set themselves apart by being incredible at what they do. I had the pleasure of having Tobias as my barber and not only did he do a great job, but he educated me in knowing more about my hair in a very professional and kind way. Walked out having one of my best cuts in a long time.

Tried West Side Barber Shop Sunday (3/1), after having gone to Sport Clips for a few years. I showed up early for my 2 oclock appointment and they offered me FREE BEER. WHAT?! Yes, you read that right, free beer. Only in Bend.As for the haircut itself, Tobias did an amazing job, probably the best haircut Ive ever gotten. He even lined up and trimmed my beard, shaved my neck with a straight razor, it was the full barbershop experience. Tobias was friendly, professional, and knew what he was doing. He took the time to make sure my fade was perfect, neck lined up properly, really took a huge amount of care all the way around.When it came time to pay, I was SHOCKED. $25 for a cut and beard trim, beer free of charge? I dont know if theres anywhere else in town that could provide the same quality haircut and environment at a better price. The days of paying $30 for a rushed haircut by an under-qualified barber at a corporate chain are over, for me at least. Ill be going to Tobias for the foreseeable future. Couldnt be happier!

The West Side Barber Shop provided me with one of the very best haircuts than any person could ever want. Lindsay rocks! She took the time to make my hair look its absolute best. I am looking forward to getting my haircut from this barber shop because their quality is their specialty!

Made an appointment for Sunday at 12:45. I arrived early, waited till 10 after 1, the sign said open but the door was locked. Knocked on the door several times... I tried to call but got voicemail only. Very unsatisfied customer.So after I left, all mad at the world, I read my emails a half hour later, finding out the appointment had been moved back an hour. My bad!!! Lindsay was wonderful. An old school hair cut, I loved it.

One of the barbers here was recommended by a friend so I ignored the negative reviews and booked a kid’s cut for my son. My husband came home telling me what a bad experience it was. The barber was rude and the haircut was awful. It was choppy and hadn’t been blended on the sides and front. Clearly a haircut given by someone who didn’t care at all. I see that the owner responds to reviews here and I think that’s great, but it’s time to recognize that your staff has an attitude problem and do something to fix that. What a bummer!

Lindsay was extremely rude and unprofessional when I let her know we wouldn’t be coming in for my sons haircut due to him being sick. I think the words you were looking for is ‘You’re welcome’ for not coming in while the COVID pandemic is increasing and risking your health as well as other customers. Instead she gave me attitude after I apologized, and a lecture HA. Clearly the pay check is needed and they do not care whether or not your sick. Best of luck. Hope you don’t get shut down...So sad. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

They have a no show rule that they dont tell you about.. Ive been going there for almost 5 years and within that time i somehow got 4 no shows and because of that i am now not aloud to make an appointment unless i pay for the last two haircuts. Was never told of this until today while messaging with their boss.This should be something they tell you upfront.

Lindsay is amazing, it felt like I was getting a massage getting my hair cut. She always did an amazing job too and always took her time cutting. You can tell she really cares about her craft. Wish I was still able to go here but I dont live in Bend anymore.

These guys kill it every time! I see Mac..but I dont think you can go wrong with anyone. I dont get back as often as I should but thats how you know its a good cut. Grows out great until I get back. Give them a try you wont be disappointed!!

Travis is without a doubt the best Barber I have ever experienced. Not only that, his shop, employees, and atmosphere are top notch. Travis is personable and an all around great guy. I will never go anyplace else to get a haircut as long as this place is open. If youre not going here, youre missing out. Plus, free beer!

This is a great place for a cut. The gentlemen behind the chairs know exactly what theyre doing. I trusted this place for my pre-wedding cut and they did not let me down. They also offer you a delicious beer to enjoy while youre getting your hair cut. Some of the barbers only take cash, but fret not if you forget! They have an ATM on site.

Just got a hair cut and beard trim. I left the styling choice to them with two stipulations. 1 its modern and 2 it looks good. The two people that did the work did it in great fashion. They charged the best prices and they did the best work. I feel like a whole new man. It looks like the rest of the shops in town need to close their doors. West Side Barber Shop is by far the best around and nothings ever going to keep them down.

Ive been getting haircuts for decades, and I can honestly say this is the best first haircut Ive ever had. Ever. Seriously.I spent some time looking for a solid barber shop and chose West Side Barber Shop for two reasons. First, the website and reviews gave me confidence that these guys are pros. Second, its local to where I live, and I want to support shops in my stomping ground.I have heard that it doesnt matter who you see here. But I can highly recommend Mack. If you want a modern classic cut that looks good right out of the chair, book a cut with Mack. What I mean by out of the chair is that I have experienced cuts that looked pretty good, but I had to mess around with my hair when I got home. This is not the case with the cut I got today from Mack.Thanks Mack! In the overused words of Arnold ... Ill be back!

Booked two back to back mens haircuts for 11am and 11:30am with Mack. Showed up a little early (10:30) and checked to see if he was available. He had nobody there but said he was waiting on an appointment. No big deal, we went to the bakery next door. Came back just before 11am, other person was still in his chair. Waited outside, no big deal. Such is life.At about 11:15, he pokes his head outside and calls for us. Sit down in his chair, he asks what I want. Simple fade, about finger length on top. He said next time book a technical appointment. I apologize.He then says next time, show up on time. I mention that we were there very early, 10:30, and he sent us away. I said we came back right before 11. He said no, that was not 10:30, show up on time and it makes it easier for me.Before he could touch my hair, we got up and walked out. Im sure the other barbers could be great, but Mack was rude and undeserving of our business.Edited to include response to owner:Thank you for responding, I really do appreciate it. Because of your fast response, I’ve changed my rating to two stars instead of one.I am sorry that we were not able to experience great service from another barber. I have to disagree, though, Mack was very unprofessional and accusatory about our timeliness when we were, in fact, half an hour early and then waited outside for almost fifteen minutes after our appointment time. The problem was not him saying we should have booked a technical cut, that’s great information to know, and I apologized. It was his attitude, rudeness, and lack of professionalism. He may give great cuts, but He does not represent the shop well.Again, thank you for the quick response.

Travis is a great barber and an even better person. Long standing business owner that works hard for his customers and his family. This is a much overdue review as Ive been going to him for almost 10 years now. What a great experience. From the moment I walked in the door, Travis made me feel welcome and at home. I grabbed myself a hot cup of joe and Travis went to work. Not only did he cut my hair perfectly, he was easy to chat with and was very genuine. The hot towel and shoulder massage was icing on the cake. Cut first, ask questions later - Absolute Worst.Trim.Ever.Went in to get my beard cleaned up. Greeted and given a beer by Travis and was told Mackenzie was going to take care of me. Coming in from his break, he greeted me and asked what I wanted. I explained that I wanted it cleaned up and straightened out with nice edges, with as much length as possible. He began to cut roughly and quickly. After a couple minutes, not once addressing the top lines, not once addressing lip lines, and not once making any type of edge, he swung the chair around and asked me How about that? I thought he was joking because there was nothing that was really done except having chunks of length taken out. I told him I wanted it actually cleaned up with the sharp sides and bottom. I told him the exact shape I wanted as I traced my face in the mirror. I mentioned that I cant believe I have to explain this much to him, as Ive never encountered a barber that I have had trouble with expressing what I want with their full understanding. He began to cut more and was still fast, choppy, and erratic. I could tell he did not want to be trimming my beard. After another couple minutes he turned the chair around again and asked what i thought. I told him that I will just pay for what was done, but I was not happy because now I need to go home and fix the beard myself. He took the apron and towel off and told me not to worry about paying. I picked up my jacket, placed the undrunken beer on the counter and walked out. Then I had to walk back in as I forgot my cellphone on the chair. I was not even acknowledged when I walked back in.Went in for beard trim, had it destroyed by barber, tried to fix by self.Cool place and free beer was nice. Travis seemed really friendly too. One star.

Travis is really nice and knows what he is doing. His new location is the best in town. Travis hires the nicest barbers to back him up when he is too busy. I highly recommend West Side Barbershop for anyone any age that wants to be treated nice and with respect.

I have been a customer of West Side from the day they opened. I followed Travis(the owner) from the previous shop he worked at. Their customer service and quality of services is top notch. Most of my staff now goes there and they all agree that Travis and his crew are top notch! I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Hands down the best Barber Shop in Bend. This shop has two of THE BEST barbers in town, I wont name them, finding out is half the fun! The shop used to be over in the snobbish west side of town, but is now down at the Box Factory, which is a HUGE improvement. Schedule your cut and beard trim late in the day, stroll over to Spoken for some fantastic grub after. That doesnt float your boat just look around, fantastic food, beer, coffee, bakery options in spades all around. Ive trusted my cut and beard trim to West Side Barber Shop for the last 7 years. Theyve never let me down. This shop is the first thing that comes to mind when I consider moving away. Get in here, you wont regret it.

Travis with West Side Barber Shop is the best barber I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He is kind, personable and does one hell of a job. He is original in his styling and classic with his approach. I refuse to send my friends & family to anyone but Travis. (Oh, while youre there try the IPA. You wont regret it.)

Shady and unwelcoming experience. Looked good from the outside and said “walk-ins welcome”. Spoke to a lady and she said it’s ok to bring my son in 15 mins to get a haircut from another guy. I brought my son, 3 barbers are in, already not recalling who I am. to my question can I get a haircut the answer is “book online”. Are you kidding? 15 mins ago I was told I am welcome to come. Also “walk-in welcome” does not work well with the comment “check availability online”. Terrible.

One side isnt cut all the way and theres an odd bump fade going on. =/ pretty bummed, but I hate bringing up that the haircut sucks to a person. I always fear they will purposefully mess it up in spite. Either way, looking around for another barber.
