Jake is literally one of the best barbers in Bend; go look at his schedule if you even want to know. As someone who knows next to nothing about hair, anytime he’s cut mine it’s always led to compliments. I rather let my hair become unmanageable than to go to another shop in Bend, this guy is doing God’s work.

Jake is awesome! Got my hair cut today and he was super clean and professional. Really enjoyed the conversation while I was in the chair. His shop is top notch and has a really good “vibe” going between the art work on the wall, the music in the background, and the movie playing it was a very enjoyable experience. He is very clean with his work and a true journeyman at his trade I will 100% be coming back for future haircuts and beard trims.

I have been going to Jake for a couple years now. The reason I have remained loyal when there are many options in Bend is simple, he is meticulous with his work. I always leave there feeling better than before I got there. By far the best barber in town. His shop is spotless, he has really embraced the COVID protocol by being safe, keeping a clean shop, and making me feel comfortable going in there. He is always playing rad old movies, and the conversation is always classic talking to him. Lets put it this way, I enjoy going in for my monthly cut! Seeing one bad review of many great ones goes to tell you how crazy people can be with nothing better to do than bash hard working, small local businesses. Jake and Brass Tacks deserves 6 stars!

⚠️NOBODY WEARS MASKS IN THIS SHOP⚠️Was supposed to have an appointment here recently but as soon as I was about to enter the shop I noticed how nobody inside was wearing masks or taking any protocols etc. Called and canceled explaining why and all they had to say was oh I can put on a mask if you like🤦🏻‍♂️ The point isn’t just wearing a mask when someone requests it. Who knows how many people have been in there with no masks all day?!!!Clearly they don’t care about the well being of their customers. Wish I could give 0 stars!

Great old school barbershop! Fantastic traditional mens cuts and straight edge shaves. Jake is highly skilled and a nice guy too. Book online early because he is in high demand, and for good reason!

You’re not following all protocols with Covid if you both agree to work maskless🤡wearing a mask IS a protocol. you have no updates or any information regarding Covid 19 safety on your website and virtually anywhere etc and now I understand why. So no I’m not “assuming” when I clearly saw maskless work being done inside . Covid doesn’t just stop for your family friends. State regulation and OHA regulations/guidelines require all salon and barbers to wear masks while working. There aren’t exceptions. So don’t tell me I’m slandering when CLEARLY you got caught not following basic protocol and state guidelines. That’s all on you. It’s really not that hard to wear a mask and protect yourself and your customers.

Jake is the barber to see in Bend. Theres a reason hes usually booked. Do yourself a favor a wait for a quality haircut from him. Good conversation and even better shop.
