Well, after a difficult couple of rough days I treated my Mom to a pedicure. I was just hoping for a nice experience. They did get us in quickly which was great but the end result is disappointing. The man who did mine was argumentative and the outcome was poor. Theres gaps where theres no polish, polish on my skin that wasnt removed and my heels are cracked. Overall just a rush job since others had come in.

This entire establishment is amazing at what they do. The nail techs really deliver your requests for colors, sparkles, and so many 3D add ons. Not to mention the entire collection of colors; from regular polish, gels, to even colored acrylic powders. Tom and his colleagues always provide the most beautiful and eye catching nails.

I’ve been battling leaving this review because I’m not one to complain but I find it sad this place has such a high rating when clearly only ONE person is qualified to do nails here. My nails were done here and a week later looked as if it had been 3 weeks. The acrylic was so bumpy no attempt to even try to make it look smooth or good and when i expressed my concerns about the polish job she wanted to push me in the direction of a darker color because she’s not experienced enough to use the color i chose. I’m a licensed cosmetologist with no formal training in nails & could have done a better job.

Worker was rushing so a rough job was done that my nails were damaged from but overall satisfied with shape and price, they stayed on good too.

I was trying to pick out the color I wanted and the lady kept rushing me. She was like you haven’t picked color yet?? I was like no I’m still deciding. Then she got upset glared at me, turned the water off and went to go sit in the corner and went on her phone. When she was actually doing my toes I couldn’t understand what she was saying so I said “huh sorry what?” A couple times and she got mad and yelled the word at me making everybody turn back to look at us. I felt so embarrassed. Last time I will go back. Very unprofessional.

I made an appointment for a pedi and full set, when arrived they were super clean, took me temp and were ready for me . My pedicure was amazing and she gave me an outstanding massage . Tom at Better Nails is amazing! I’ve been to many nail places in the area and this by far was the best experience I’ve ever had. The staff is very kind and makes sure you get exactly what you came for. They take their time and do not rush so you get a great end result. This is one of the only places I’ve been to where I was able to show Tom a photo of what I wanted and it actually came out better than the photo. I strongly recommend this place for anyone of all ages who love getting their nails done!

Came to Tom for a full set for the first Tim and HE KILLED IT. If I could give 10 stars I would but wow. Even during COVID times my experience was beyond great, with safet protocols are in place I could enjoy my spa day worry free!

Can I give a zero star? 🙄Tom was very rude to me several times. I have gone to this nail salon over 5 different times and at first it seemed really nice and they got the shape I wanted and everything! But after the first visit Tom was very rude to me. Rolling his eyes at me if I didn’t have my hand the right way and would yank my hand/fingers where he wanted them. He also told me I had “strong hands” and pointed out flaws on my hand that really didn’t need to be mentioned. I’ve had several of my friends say the exact same thing about him after I made a post about how bad my experience was. He also made no small talk and seemed very frustrated and not pleasant to be around. Would not recommend this place AT ALL. I sure as hell will never step foot back into that place.

Tom and the ladies of this place do exceptional work! They are the only nail place I am willing to go and take my daugher to. I always feel at home andThey check in during, making sure everything is just how you would want it. 💖

I read soo many great reviews about Tom. I am pretty picky and I knew right away this probably wasnt the place for me. My appointment was scheduled with Tom but 3️⃣ different people worked on my nails. They were ALL very nice but again my appointment was with Tom. Unfortunately many of my nails did not have the same shape and I left there feeling dissapointed.

I highly recommend this place. My mom invited me to go get my nails done with her yesterday so I figured why not. When we got there I showed Tom a basic idea of what I wanted and he went far above and beyond. I am in love with my nails. I will definitely be going back.

Last night I went to Better Nails about 20 minutes before they closed and I heard the great experience ever at a nail session salon. They stayed late and did not rush and everyone made me feel so welcome. I showed Tom a picture of what I wanted for my manicure and he is truly an artist. I got my nails done here a few days ago and they look awesome! I explained I wanted long stiletto black nails and my technician took the time to make them look even and perfect. Ive already gotten a ton of compliments on them and I plan on going back!

I just moved back to the area and am looking for a nail salon. I saw this place while driving home and figured Id give it a try. The man who greeted me was friendly and ready to provide service. I had asked for dipped then switched to gel manicure. Tom arrived and the man helping me told him my original request. Tom was very thorough and explained all my options and cost up front so there were no surprises when it came time to pay. Overall I was greatly satisfied and look forward to my next service.

Just moved here and was looking for a new nail salon. Pretty basic nail salon inside, nothing too fancy but Tom was wonderful. Had an amazing hot stone pedicure and he picked my nail color for me and both my toes and fingers turned out beautifully. Will definitely be coming back.

I am so happy with my first experience at this nail Salon! I asked Tom if he could do my new set of acrylics with matte gel in 50 minutes because I had an appointment to get to. He did them in 40 and he truly did a better job than people who spend over an hour perfecting the coffin shape!

I’m from out of town and I smashed my (newly done) pink and white acrylic nail in a door. Tom fixed my nail and put new overcoat on another nail that I had put glue on while trying to fix my broken nail. He did a FANTASTIC job (& I’m VERY fussy) and he charged me very little. Can not recommend him enough - thank you so much Tom, I’m so grateful that you helped my nails look perfect!

Tom is great at what he does, and all of the staff here are wonderful! I have never had so many compliments on my nails as I did after getting them done at Better Nails. I recently went back for a fill and to have my awesome talons reshaped and resized to accommodate everyday life (sadly, because I REALLY loved having talons...) and Tom once again did a great job, giving me just what I asked for. He and the staff are knowledgeable and the the salon is clean, tidy and pleasant (even in the summer heat). I am so pleased to have found a salon that I can count on to do a good job every time!

By far the best nails salon I have gone to! TOM did just what I wanted. I came in during my lunch hour in a hurry to get my old set off and add a new one. I was very stressed out because i was leaving to a trip the following day and i was worried I wasnt going to get my nails fixed. Tom said dont worry! Love the nails I got yesterday from Tom. I got a full set with powder. The shape and length are perfect. He could also tell that my nails lift easily so he added an acrylic base layer to ensure strength.Would highly recommend. After going to multiple nail salons in Bellingham and having pitiful service and experiences, Better Nails was a breath of fresh air. The service was amazing! Tom (who did my nails) took his time to shape my nails and checked with me several times to make sure it was the desired shape. Another nice thing is that the services are well priced. It has been a week and my nails still look amazing and are growing out healthily. I definitely recommend Better Nails - they provide excellence service and expertise.

Tom and his employees were great! They promptly and accurately did my almond shaped acrylics. They charge $5 extra for coffin or almond shaped because theyre more labor intensive. Totally worth it. One lady started my nails and Tom came in to finish them. Only took about an hour. Overall I am very happy with the service, will be returning for a fill later on!

Like a lot of other comments made, what I want and what the owner wants and does are totally different but he tends to think he is right. I brought in my own products and he still overcharged me. When I got a pedicure the lady did not shape my toenails just clipped them so of course my socks and sheet got ripped. I tried for better service one after two visits where I gave them benefit of doubt but still the same outcome. This place was recommended by a friend but I can tell that they are about business and not there to accommodate customers with their artistic nail talent like I need.
