Dont put off refinishing your old hardwood floors.! Robinson did an amazing job and the staff was professional and friendly, from the owner, estimator, and office staff to all the workers. Prompt, dependable and efficient. I highly recommend spending the extra money for the low VOC finish!

MY INTENTION FOR THIS REVIEW IS THAT EVERY CONSUMER WHO READS IT WILL LEARN FROM OUR EXPERIENCE. IT MAKES ME SAD TO WRITE THIS, SINCE THE GOOD REVIEWS FOR ROBINSON’S WERE ONE OF THE REASONS WE HIRED THEM TO SAND AND RE-FINISH OUR FLOORS.OUR 12 YEAR OLD BRAZILIAN CHERRY FLOORS WERE PRISTINE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME WEAR SPOTS AND USUAL DINGS AND DENTS. WE DECIDED TO HAVE THEM RE-FINISHED IN THE MIDST OF OUR KITCHEN REMODEL SINCE THE ISLAND WAS TEMPORARILY REMOVED AND WE HAD SOME PLANKS THAT NEEDED REPLACEMENT.AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN APRIL, WE WERE IN SHOCK WITH THE RESULTS OF THEIR WORK. THE FINISH WAS ROUGH, TACKY AND EXTREMELY UNEVEN. THE PLANKS THEY REPLACED WERE NOT BRAZILIAN CHERRY, UNEVENLY CUT AND A PINK COLORED FILLER WAS USED THAT DIDN’T MATCH ANYTHING. THE TRANSITION AREAS HAD DEEP UNEVEN SCRAPE MARKS AND DEEP VALLEYS. THERE WAS DEBRIS THROUGHOUT. THE SURFACE ALONG ALL OF THE BASEBOARDS WAS VISIBLY ANGLED UPWARD. THE ENTIRE SURFACE WAS SO ROUGH THAT A WEEK AFTER, I RAN MY MICROFIBER OVER THE FLOOR AND THE DIRT LITERALLY STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND SPREAD WITH THE DUSTER. DURING THE INITIAL CONSULT, WE OPTED NOT TO REMOVE OUR BASEBOARDS AND WERE CLEARLY WARNED BY ROBBY THAT THEY WOULD GET DINGED UP. HE ASSURED US THOUGH, THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO TOUCH THEM UP IF NECESSARY. WELL, THE BASEBOARDS HAD TO BE REMOVED (AS REFLECTED IN THE PICTURES) IN ORDER TO FIX THE DAMAGE AND THEY WERE IN REALLY BAD SHAPE. SINCE THEY NO LONGER MANUFACTURE OUR PROFILE, WE HAD TO HAVE CUSTOM TRIM MADE.UPON REVIEW OF THE DAMAGES, ROBBY ROBINSON SAID HE ONLY HAD 1 CREW AND HE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE SENDING THEM BACK TO OUR HOME. WE COMPLETELY AGREED. HE THEN OFFERED US A FULL REFUND (WE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO COMPLETION) AND WE ACCEPTED. HE THEN REFERRED US TO TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES TO CALL FOR THE REPAIR. OFFERING THE REFUND WAS A VERY SMART MOVE ON HIS END BUT AS THE CONSUMER, IN RETROSPECT, ACCEPTING IT WAS NOT A VERY GOOD CHOICE. THE COST TO FIX OUR FLOORS WAS OVER $2,250 MORE THAN THE INITIAL COST. WE HAD NO IDEA OF THIS UNTIL WE BEGAN INTERVIEWING FLOORING PROFESSIONALS (2 OF THEM HE REFERRED) TO REPAIR THE DAMAGES. ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE NATIONAL FLOORING ASSOCIATION STATE INSPECTOR, CONFIRMED THAT IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE LABOR INTENSIVE TO REPAIR A DAMAGED FLOOR THAN SANDING AN EVEN SURFACE.AFTER CAREFUL CONSIDERATION WITH A COMBINED 60 YEARS IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY, MY HUSBAND AND I THOUGHT IT WAS FAIR TO ASK ROBINSON’S TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE (OVER AND ABOVE THE REFUND), SINCE THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED WAS THE REASON FOR THE ADDITIONAL COST TO US.AFTER SEVERAL EMAILS, ROBBY ROBINSON, DISAGREEING WITH THE STATE INSPECTOR AND OTHER FLOORING PROFESSIONALS, STATED THAT A SAND IS A SAND AND ROBINSON’S HARDWOOD FLOORING WOULD NOT PAY FOR HIS COMPETITORS OVERCHARGING. LITTLE DID WE KNOW THAT LEGALLY, ONCE WE ACCEPTED THE REFUND, THE CONTRACT WAS COMPLETE. OUR BEST GUESS IS THAT ROBINSON’S KNEW THIS THUS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY (OVER AND ABOVE THE REFUND) FOR THE DAMAGES. I HAVE BEEN A PROFESSIONAL IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I CAN’T HELP BUT REFLECT ON WHAT I WOULD DO IN THIS SITUATION LEGAL OR NOT. WELL, THAT IS JUST ONE MORE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW. Note: Google would only allow 3 of the 8 pictures I wanted to post.

The project simply turned out bad due to a large lack of communication between owner and staff. I was sold and expecting one thing and got another. My floor now cracks after the re-sand and repair and Im being forced to cover it up with Engineered hard wood. I feel Robinson didnt supply an enough options to make it right and I left my last payment with a bitter taste in my mouth.

We hired Robinson Hardwood to put hardwood into our entire home and couldnt have been happier with the results! They were extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a list of options as well as pros and cons for each type of hardwood. We ended up settling on a slate grey prefinished Maple product for a great deal, thanks to the owner working with his supplier. During the install, in addition to being professional and friendly, they were also very efficient and were done sooner then we expected. Overall our project from start to finish was made easy for us, due to the competency and attentiveness they showed. We highly recommend and plan on using them for any hardwood needs in the future!

Robinsons did an outstanding job, first on refinishing old fir floors, then installing new. When I first saw them, I almost cried they were so beautiful. José did a stunning job installing the new stairs! Thank you Robinsons!

We had hardwood floors installed in our recently purchased home. There were existing hardwood floors to be matched and refinished and we searched on line and asked around for who to use. Robby and his crew were recommended and hired. They were very professional and knowledgeable about their product. The job was started when promised and completed on time. The floors are seamless between the old and new we are happy customers. I would not hesitate recommending them.

Our 90 year old oak and fir floors did not need repairs, only refinishing. Robinson gave us a very reasonable quote quickly. They even worked on a weekend so we could meet a deadline for moving in furniture. The floors turned out great!

This is, by far, the BEST experience we have had with service regarding our home! Robby came out within 1 day for a bid, got the bid to us within a few days and the bid was completely reasonable. We were able to take multiple floor samples home for as long as we needed to make the right decision. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and always communicated in a timely manner. Once installed, we were so, so happy. The floors are gorgeous and the crew was efficient. Seriously, hands down - use Robinson Hardwood!

Big thank you to Robinson Hardwood & Homes! They did a stellar job of patching my floor, giving it a good buff, and putting down a coat of varnish. Although they said they couldnt guarantee that the new would match the old, frankly, I can barely tell the difference. We were very impressed and would recommend them hands-down.

We hired Robinson Hardwood and Homes to refinish the 100 year-old fir floors in our remodel and install new oak flooring in our addition. Needless to say, the 100 year-old fir was in rough shape. Robby convinced us that the fir was salvageable and his quality crew proved him right! I would not hesitate to recommend the Robinsons for any housing projects you may have. Thanks for the great floors!

These guys are second to none! My husband I purchased our hardwood here and we couldnt have asked for better customer service. We ended up having to wait longer than anticipated on getting our transition strips (manufacturers fault) so RHH ended up advocating for us and getting those for free. These people will really go to bat for you!

Robby and his super team both repaired and refinished my red oak hardwood flooring throughout my house. In one area there was 4 x 4 section where a built-in shelving unit stuck out over the floor. I was sure that we were going to have to replace a fair chunk of the hardwood flooring. I also was under the impression that it would be very costly. After Robby came over and gave me a free in-home consultation, he exceptionally open and honest with all my options givinng me the good, better and best scenarios. Words can’t describe how extremely satisfied I am with the work Robby and his team accomplished for us. His pricing was very competitive and the work was pristine and perfect!
