Stephanie is amazing! I will definitely be returning! Unfortunately, I dont have a before picture, but I have extremely thick hair and my previous color was damaged and uneven from an at-home box dye. She transformed it and this is the healthiest it has been in the past two years!

I went in for my appointment to have hair color done, I was told they weren’t comfortable putting color on my hair without doing a hair sample first, which I really appreciated! They told me they’d be in contact with me the same day and let me know how we would proceed to my ideal color. This was about a month ago and I still haven’t heard one word from them. I ended up going to a different salon that same day and they gave me my dream hair after one session so at the end of the day I ended up being a super happy girl!! Just wish it would’ve been because of Dosha 👎🏼😞

I’ve been getting my hair done by Stephanie and wow, she is the best! She makes your dream hair a reality! 100% recommend her for anything you want to do with your hair and also, the salon takes COVID very seriously and ensures you and the employees are safe!

Spent $70 on a pixie style haircut (short on top, faded on the sides). The fade job was so bad and not straight that it’s the first thing my husband noticed when I walked through the door. I called Dosha and they told me they were sorry and to come back following day at 2pm to have it fixed.Well, long story short is I arrived and was told they had no one there THAT COULD DO A SIMPLE FADE JOB, but confirmed that the haircut was bad... What kind of hair stylist place can’t do a basic task like that??? But that inability also very much explains the hack job I ended up with. They said I could come back 5 hrs later and they MIGHT have someone who could handle, again, a simple fade! I immediately asked for a refund and was denied that option after all of this absolutely unprofessional nonsense. I was told by the staff that they were all “level 1 stylists” and couldn’t help me with.... yes.... A FADE.Don’t waste your money or your time at this location. I went somewhere that was able to fix it for 1/3 the price. Sometimes you don’t get what you pay for.

Rude and unprofessional service. Very disappointed, this is not what Aveda used to be. Be careful if you miss tiny details about your color service. Not worth it.

Customer service quality is lacking at best. My sister and I scheduled separate appointments online and when we both arrived to our appointments on different days, we were turned down and told they could not take us in. The employees who gave us the news were not apologetic despite how inconvenient and frustrating it was to make the trip for our ~scheduled~ appointments. Really disappointed about their failure to communicate and use a scheduling system that actually works.

I went here for the first time today and was serviced by Stephanie. I am so happy with my hair! Stephanie did a great job. She was very communicative and constantly checked in to make sure I was happy. Stephanie explained everything she was doing and what products she was using. She did everything I asked and then more. I made an appointment for a hair bleaching for my daughter, who received a gift card for her 13th birthday. I left work 2 hours early to get there in time for their last appointment for the day. I dropped off my daughter since it was supposed to be a 2-3 hour appointment. After an hour, I get a call that her hair is dark, so her treatment is going to cost 3 times more than what we had planned for. Since my daughter had been looking forward to this appointment all week, I didnt want to disappointment her so I approved their request to move forward.Immediately after hanging up, I started calling around to other salons. Two in the immediate area had informed me that they have never needed to do 3 treatments to bleach dark hair. 2 treatments on very rare occasions but never 3. They told me that Dosha probably doesnt specialize in coloring and may not have much experience with very dark hair.Dosha called AGAIN after 15 minutes to let me know they dont even have the product to bleach my daughters hair. The receptionist seemed very unapologetic after I expressed my dissatisfaction, and even said it was out of their control since the product wasnt included in their delivery for that day.What a poorly managed business. How about calling me and letting me know we didnt need to come in? How about carrying enough product in your store to run your business? I have an appointment for a hair color and youre waiting on the product to be delivered that day?Since the appointment was with a new stylist, we were set up to get 50% off. We also didnt have to pay since they didnt have the product to color her hair. The receptionist seemed to think this was enough reason to not be apologetic, as she kept bringing this up.Huge disappointment, especially for my daughter.

Lily Helmer is both a great stylist and esthetician. I get waxes every 4 weeks with her. She has magical hands so my wax is always quick and easy. She makes me feel very comfortable for she is very professional and follows all state guidelines. I reccommend Lily for all services, #LILY4LIFE

I have gone to Dosha Beaverton a couple of times. My hair is not complicated to cut so I have not had any problems. Unfortunately my last cut was probably the worst haircut I have ever gotten. The hairdresser cut off way more than I asked and cut very choppy, uneven layers. I was too shocked to say anything in the salon, but began crying the minute I got to my car. I have since tried to style my hair in every way possible, but nothing has helped. Just because this is an Aveda salon, so not trust that every stylist knows what they are doing.

Jaime made me go from drab to fab!! My hair had no dimension, and was a gross brassy color. When I left the salon I felt like a whole new woman! Her attention to detail gave me just what I wanted and I felt like she truly cared for my hair. She explained each process and was just pleasant to work with. Hayley is amazing! I went in with a mess of hair that hadnt been cut in a year. I was practically unrecognizable after my appointment.. the cut was great & the blonde highlights were exactly what I wanted!! You can tell Hayley truly cared about my experience, I felt very comfortable with her & she even gave me a hand massage during my deep conditioning treatment. The front desk staff (I believe her name is Noelle) was extremely friendly & helpful, she was very knowledgeable about the products and what I needed for my messy mane of hair!! The whole experience was 5 STAR! Thank you Dosha Beaverton, I will definitely be back!

Went in for the first time today, and had a great experience. Crystal took the time to listen to what I wanted, and then went ahead and cut my hair just like I asked. It looks great! I also really like their online booking system.

This was my first time at this salon. Had a great haircut appointment with Bree (sp?). She did a good cut, just what I asked for. She also explained what she was doing and why. She used some nice products that were made especially for curly hair and recommended that I try the travel-sized bottles to see if I liked using it on my own. The salon is very nice, and the other person who helped me was also very pleasant and professional. I have already made my next appointment.

I had a color session with Hayley today and she did an outstanding job. She spent the first 25 minutes discussing my goals and going over swatches with me. I could tell it was really important to her to be on the same page with me and understand exactly what I wanted. I LOVE my hair. Highly, highly, highly recommend her.

I woke up one morning and thought I want to chop my hair off today. I called Dosha @ Murray Scholls and made an appointment with somebody I didnt know (scary). I was so nervous. Angela, thank you for giving me the best haircut ever. I am SO happy. You went above and beyond, took your time, and made me feel so comfortable. I am beyond happy. Thank you for giving me the best blunt bob I could have ever hoped for.

Here’s a good story-I have natural dark brown hair. I found a photo of hair that’s dark at the roots with highlights of purple/red. I showed it to Hayley who said we could get there in several sessions. I decided to trust someone with bleach for the first time in my life. Heck, it was my birthday and I was going to treat myself. BIG MISTAKE. Session one: bleach highlights all over. Session two: bleach highlights all over again. I figured things were making sense. Session three: bleached my entire hair then covered in bright purple. She told me after some washes, my hair would look like the photo. The next day when I saw my hair in daylight I was shocked. The roots were the brightest purple which was opposite of the look I was going for. It was an embarrassing week. Fourth session: shadow root and root smudge of dark brown. But really black. Done by Lily. At the end of this process I am left with mostly blackish brownish hair. Pretty much like my original hair.I attended FOUR sessions and paid FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY dollars for my hair to pretty much look like it’s original state but only now it’s damaged. Joy.I will say that staff here is kind (besides not admitting to mistakes and making it seem like somehow you miscommunicated something when you brought the photo you wanted session one). However they obviously do not know how to color hair.DO NOT go here unless you want your hair dreams shattered. It will take me another decade before I trust a salon again.

Lilly, was a very good hairstylist. I love my hair cut. She is very personable and easy to talk to. She and had fun talking about cooking classes.All about my raising turkeys. She felt like a nice friend. Made my day.

I went in wanting to cut my hair quite short, and Phaleasha kindly and knowledgeably advised my hair type would not look the same as the photo, and encourages as much communication as possible. That honesty is super important so no one leaves disappointed! She was able to use some new photos I provided and advise on a cut that turned out great! Also, as she dried my hair, she taught me how to style it; so helpful! I highly recommend Phaleasha!

The only good thing I have to say about this place is that they use good quality products. Other than that I dont recommend them to anyone. The location is convenient but the inside looks like a great clips and you feel like youre in a fish bowl when youre getting youre haircut Because of all the windows. Not very relaxing. Now the service is why I gave it such a bad review. For the price you pay its not worth it. Tracy did not do a good job and it was a pretty basic haircut she even asked me if I needed it washed... Like she was in a rush to get me out the door for her next client. AND, she was 20 min late so I had to sit there for 30 min before I got my haircut. Never coming here again.

Lily is my stylist and has saved my hair!! Tragic lightening accident combined with a week of salt water in Hawaii, sent me home with dreadlocks. Once long, silky blond hair... destroyed. Lily is my hair doctor! She has treated my hair and nourished back it into actually growing and thriving. I thought I was doomed to very short hair and/or wigs and now, I can see, and feel, tremendous improvement! Not to mention, shes pretty cool, fun to chat with and made the whole experience comfortable and positive!!

Angela was amazing! For the 1st time in 5 years, I left a salon thrilled with my hair! She was professional, actually listened to my concerns and did a color correction that I could not believe. I have very dark brown hair with some greys and I wear my hair blonde, she made that happen after another stylist somewhere else turned me orange. I will definitely be back!!!

I would say 4.5 stars due to waiting 15 minutes-ish from my appointment time after getting there early. Otherwise, I loved meeting Molly and she gave me an excellent LOB cut! I felt very pampered from the head massage, the hair wash, cut, and style. I have been trying to find a new stylist near home and Dosha was only five minutes away. I am very content and excited to try other services too!

I insisted on a hair cut that I should have thought more about. It looks good but not quiet satisfying per say. Either way, i will definetly be going back to her when its time for a touch up!

I got my bangs trimmed in between my regular haircut. I will be back if needed. The space is open & airy. + They have all the Aveda products which is a big plus. The salon doesnt tie into Avedas customer loyalty program though- that is a bummer!

Salon was nice. Whoever cut my hair didnt do great, but other people seemed happy with their hair....so I guess it just depends. She was nice, it was fine, but had to fix some of it at home.

Dosha is a beautiful and clean salon. The stylists are super friendly and attentive. I have been back twice for a trim and will be returning for my next one as well.

I have a ton hair and every time I schedule, I always ask for extra time when I want to get my hair colored. The last few times that I have made an appointment, they can only do a partial or no color because they dont have enough time.Really hate feeling that Im an inconvenience because of the amount of hair I have. Im just finding this to be very frustrating and will look for another location that can actually do what I want.

Out of the only two facials I have had done at the Beaverton branch, both times my appointment was pushed back 15-20 minutes due to a gal having to wrap up a previous hair appointment, which means my time gets compromised and any add-ons I want to get are questionable if the appropriate time for them was given. Although the facials were good, I will not go here for a facial again.

My sister and I had a wonderful time treating ourselves to new hair color & cut and our hairstylist made us look like a million bucks!!

I love this salon so much! I had a very bad hair experience at Ulta and my light brown hair was turned black, but Tracy saved the day and fixed my hair in one day! Nothing bad to say about Dosha, I have always had amazing experiences here!

Dosha Salon is always clean. Everyone is extremely polite and professional. Vas is very perceptive to what I need to take care of my hair. I love it so much I recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. I even got my husband switched over to Vas.

Got a great cut. Everyone is super nice and they know how to cut hair. I went in with a picture of what i wanted and got exactly what i wanted.

So, I finish my hair color appointment with Lily and get to the payment part. The receptionist quotes $155, $50 more than what I was told by the stylist. Perplexed, I asked her to break it up, and she says its $100( base price) + $25 for conditioning + $30 for 3 additional bowls of color!! It was supposed to be $70 base + conditioning +1 extra bowl of color (coz it was a few greys that had to be covered up, not the entire hair). So she double-checks with the stylist comes back with a number of $125 this time but it was still $20 more than expected. So I ask for Lily to clear the confusion and Lily comes and claims she used a total of 4 bowls of color on me!!!! And that just pissed me off BIG time. I was super upset because that clearly was a blatant lie. What was going to be a great experience until that point turned out to be a lousy one. Its not about the extra 10 or 20 bucks because I could totally afford that. Its the principle and trust that matter and they broke my trust. As for me, I am not going back to this place.

Jessica has been doing my hair for years now and she is fantastic! Fun to work with, very friendly and honest feedback about what to do with my hair which is so appreciated. Angie works wonders on my brows and is also amazingly friendly! They have a great team at Dosha and it is so convenient to go into one place for all of my beauty and product needs!

On June 9th, I made an appointment for a haircut and style for the following Saturday, June 16th. I was going to my granddaughters college graduation later that day. On Friday, I received a call confirming the hairstyle for the next day. Then, half an hour before the appointment, as I was on my way to the salon, they called me to reschedule because they would “not be able to do it.I responded that that was very unprofessional and that I was going to be late for the ceremony.I am a senior citizen and I want to make a formal complain to the management about the very poor customer service.

Ive been a Dosha customer for over a decade. I can speak highly of, and recommend the Portland locations, particularly Hawthorne. However, the Beaverton location does not offer the same quality of service. The only similarities are the scheduling process and products. I moved to Beaverton 1.5 years ago and have had 3 poor waxing experiences at Beaverton Dosha. The central issue is a lack of skill and attention to the client preferences.1st experience: I walked out and realized when I got in my car that none of the hair had been removed (eyebrow and lip). I dont know what went wrong but I had to go back in and ask they re-wax, which was highly irritating to my skin.2nd experience (different person): The entire tail of my right eye brown was accidentally removed and all the hair was cut so short that they wouldnt lay flat for weeks. They were also waxed too skinny.3rd experience (same as 2nd): I mentioned the mistakes from the prior visit to make sure they were not repeated. Again they were cut too short and waxed too thin. Further, the wrong wax was used. I use a retinoid, which means soft wax with strips are too harsh because they remove delicate skin. I stop use the retinoid 5 days prior to waxing and have had good experiences with Doshas hard wax. It is the reason I go to Dosha for waxing (only wax that doesnt bother my skin). Unfortunately, the yellow/soft wax was used and ripped off my skin, causing pain and lasting irritation.The central theme of all these experiences was that no one took the time to find out my preferences or ask me any questions. The experience is not personalized, but more of an auto-pilot procedure based on whatever the individual was taught or does every time to every one. Ive given them a fair chance given my prior positive Dosha experiences, but will have to find a different place for waxing services in the Beaverton area, or go out of my way to go to one of the Portland Dosha locations. Bummer given the convenience of the location, hours, and scheduling.

HORRIBLE! Dosha sold my husband 3 gift cards totaling $180 as a Christmas gift for me. I went in and had a cut and color. They would not accept the 3 cards, said if I turned the card over and read the fine print you can only use 1 card at a time for any one service. I had to pay $121 EXTRA for a very overpriced cut and highlight touch up on short hair. Tashonte (or however its spelled) is their guest relations person and would not refund the balance to me or do anything to rectify the situation. IM FURIOUS! I am going to become their worst nightmare until this is resolved.

The Dosha in Beaverton is my favorite! I love all the girls that work there! I get my hair, facials, nails, and waxing done there.

The worse experience ever coming here, I made a reservation last week for haircut/highlight and they had confirmed my appointment on Monday at 3pm. When I got there, they told me that they didn’t have me scheduled and gave my spot to another customer who just called 4hours ago. They made me get up after they had sat for my haircut/highlight because they supposedly could not find me in the schedule. That was quite embarrassing, I explained to the manager that I had called and confirmed last week already and again earlier today somebody from Dosha had called to cancel my facial that was scheduled at 1:45pm but did confirm my appt. for haircut/highlight was still on at 3pm. Needless to say this was very frustrating, I had a busy day but I made sure not to miss this appt. because my hair was a mess and in need of haircut/highlight badly but only to be told that I was not in the schedule when I got there. To be fair, I had pleasant experience before but after this incident, I will never ever go there. Seems like they have now hired a bunch of very very incompetent people to run this place….

Ive been seeing Angie for my cuts for about a year now. She always does a great job and has really gotten to know what works for my curly hair and how I like it. Everyone is always friendly when Im there, I have zero complaints about this location.My one complaint, though, is that there seems to be a syncing issue within their scheduler. From my own experience and reading other reviews, it seems that changes made when you call the main line to schedule dont always sync with the scheduler at that location. I had two separate incidences where I cancelled my appt with the scheduling line at least 24 hours in advance, but on the day the appt was scheduled, I got a call from the Murray Scholls location saying I missed my appt.This is a frustration for the customers and Im sure also the stylists who lose business because my appt slot could have been filled by another customer. Or customers being upset because they werent even on the schedule and choose not to return. I hope this is something that can be resolved since Ive always loved this salon and hate to see it take a hit in reviews based on software insufficiency.
