I was super excited for a full make over.. I’m a natural brunette and I have shoulder length hair. I was dying for something completely different. When I went in for the test strand, they convinced me to get something else because it was “less maintenance” I didn’t care about the less or more “maintenance” of it but I trusted them because they were nice and seemed to know what they were doing. So when I went in to get my full blown hair done, I was so excited for the result because as a busy mom, I had never taken the actual time for something like this. Once it was done, I was so disappointed. It was absolutely NOTHING like what I wanted. NOTHING. & it was NOTHING like what she convinced me into getting. I thought maybe it’d look different once she styled it and it didn’t. My hair didn’t look any different at all. it just looked like I had a couple highlights and that’s it. I went to my car and cried my eyes out. i was too embarrassed to go back to give her a tip (i had to go to the bank next door since you can’t add the tip on your card) because my eyes were just soooo puffy. I paid $360 for something I didn’t want. & my hair is short! i didn’t mind paying that much for something i wanted but for this? It’s extremely disappointing. I’m quite literally heart broken. I went in there so excited but I left crying.

I have really curly, long hair. Ive had disastrous experiences in the past when trying to get my hair cut. My experience at bouffant was drastically better. The stylist was experienced in handling curly hair, was communicative and understood what I wanted, and executed the cut perfectly. She also then styled my hair perfectly while giving me tips on how to reproduce this at home as well. They were professional throughout, and my appointment started and ended exactly as scheduled. Highly recommended.

Note: they don’t accept tips on the credit card. At the counter you can ask for venmo QR code for your hairdresser and tip them appropriately later.I have been to this salon twice - I always ask for Cody. You can get a appointment online based on your hairdresser’s availability.Cody listens to you and gives you exactly what you want.First time I went in for cut and color. The cut usually includes wash, cut and blow dry. I asked for burgundy highlights only at the bottom part of my hair. The whole thing Cost me $205 without tip and the process took around 4 hours. Picture of the result attached.Second time I went for a trim. I wanted to keep the length and Cody did just that. This costs me $70 without tip.

I haven’t had my hair done professionally in years, but Shags (Hannah) made me SO comfortable and did an amazing job on my hair! I will definitely be referring others to her :)

I got a haircut and a partial balayage. I did not like it when I left, but thought it might grow on me. It looks solidly blonde. I have dark brown hair and wanted something more natural looking. They said the same lady who did could fix it and only them. Going somewhere else to get it fixed.

I went in for a correction to my at home attempt at highlights. Hope was amazing! She helped tone and highlight my hair properly, gave me an amazing haircut and helped me formulate a plan to reach my hair goals. Seeing her again in just a few weeks!

Please beware of this place!! When I called them for an appointment I asked them how much it would be to do styling with hair down and curls and I was told it would be 30$ depending on the amount of hair. I do have good volume of hair so I thought the price would be somewhere between 40-50$ at max but when I got my hair done and went to checkout they said it’s 90$, when I pushed back they made it 70$ and said I have no alternative but to pay the charges. This is so fraudulent, atleast they need to inform the customers of the correct prices ahead rather than just increasing the price at checkout and making us vulnerable! Does any salon charge 70$ for just curling???

Extremely rude staff. Called to ask a few questions about services & pricing, & the very rude woman on the phone laughed at me & said they would not even tough someone’s hair for anything less than $140.00 & told me to try Supercuts.

I searched around the area for people and salons that are good with blonde color, I have been turned orange or brassy way too many times to count. Bouffant Salon kept coming up on searches. I chose the stylist Kayla because of her sweet smiley face and great reviews. My hair was completely damaged when I first met with her and she has brought it back to life! We first took off some length to get all the dead ends off, she was careful with color to not damage my hair any further, and sent me home with a great hair mask to use weekly. I have attached photos of my Spring/Summer color (in the salon vs in the car) and my Fall/Winter color. Like most of us, I rarely have time to sit in a chair for a few hours to get my hair done so Kayla gave me beautiful babylights that grow out so beautifully and dont give me any harsh lines. She is a pro at gorgeous ashy blonde colors and I wouldnt dare go to anyone else. HIGHLY recommend!

My wife was excited to go get a haircut but unfortunately had a medical emergency. As im driving her to urgent care she decides to call. This is 3hrs before her scheduled appointment to cancel. Person who answered the phone at bouffant asked why she didnt cancel 48hrs prior its in the policy so theyre still going to charge the card. How can you ask that? She first made the appt. 48hrs prior. She didnt know this emergency was going to happen. I have proof and documentation that this was a medical emergency so Bouffant cannot accuse her of lying. I could hear my wife in pain and start asking for the manager, after not getting to the manager my wife then said fu$% your policy you should tell people over the phone about this, and the person on the other line hung up. I understand the pandemic hit businesses hard but come on! this is greed.

My first experience at Bouffant salon was a success! The doors were open when I got there and they clearly followed the current safety requirements from the state. The plants were so delightful and it was so bright in there! My stylist Timberly was AMAZING! She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. She was so sweet and answered all the questions I had about products and how to care for my hair. At the end, she curled my hair perfectly and gave me little tips and tricks on how to do it again at home.

Had my hair washed, cut, and styled by Natalie and she did an amazing job! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted and I was in and out within an hour. She also recommended some great hair care products for me.

Hannah Chae has never disappointed me. Ive been there 4 times and she works magical wonders with my difficult wavy, curly hair.I always walk out of there feeling on top of the world. You look good, you feel good!

There’s a few questionable reviews on here. I’ve been here twice now and have no idea where the negative reviews are coming from. Clean and upbeat salon. Always immediately greeted when I enter and offered something to drink. My stylist is Kayla, and as other positive reviews mention, she is awesome (at both cutting and coloring). For anyone concerned about price, since there is a negative review on here about the costs being too high at the end of the service, Kayla is always super sweet in reviewing the costs for everything before she does anything. No surprises here. And the pricing here is more than reasonable compared to other salons I’ve visited in the area, and way better service. I’d co-sign for Kayla and this salon any day.

So I have really thick hair. I’ve bounced around from salon to salon and honestly I can’t remember ever getting a haircut in the last 32 years that I’ve been genuinely excited about, so I usually go a good 12 months between haircuts because the hassle of trying to decide where I should try next is just too annoying.That changed when I met Natalia at Bouffant!! She took one look at a very general picture of what I was wanting and made it happen. I almost cried from joy but that would have been weird. Thank you Natalia!

I have rebellious curly hair and I was scared of getting a haircut because they always leave it bad. But my hairstylist, Mia, did an amazing job and my hair is looking healthier and better than ever.

Mia did such a great job on my 16 yr old daughters hair. She was super pleasant, very sweet, and extremely accurate in her cut! We went in with a botched up haircut from another establishment, and Mia made it perfect. We will definitely be back to see her!!

I did a courontine haircut and bleach and ruined my hair! :( she was able to save what was left and give me good advice on helping it stay healthy.

Briley at Bouffant Hair Salon is amazing. She is such a talented stylist and incredibly attentive. She knows my hair and what it needs. She always uses the best products. I always walk out of the salon feeling like $1,000,000 bucks!

The girls are very talented but you never know what your going to pay with them! I have gotten the Brazilian blowout 3 times and have paid a different price every time. When making your appointment make sure you know if your getting a senior or a junior stylist because the price difference is drastic for the same service. When getting the Brazilian blowout insist on knowing if an extra amount of the product is necessary before they squirt... what should have been a $160 to $180 bill came out to $260... because the stylist said she needed 4 squirts for my shoulder length hair without asking me if I was willing to pay more... the other past treatments only required two squirts. The treatment requires a two step process and I cut back on the time drastically by telling them to forget the second half. Saving them at least a hour more on my hair.I called and asked for the manager/ owners name and telephone and they refused. I asked for restitution and have not heard back. In hindsight, I should have refused to pay the exhorbitant amount of $260. I will not be going back and am going to post my experience in any social media possible to warn other customers..,

If your looking for a soft, warm, soothing salon this is not the place for you. This place is young, edgy and modern and is perfect for me and my big sis. We stopped by to see one of Bouffants senior stylists, Cody, yesterday for a cut and he did a bang up job. I didnt have any issues making an appointment or with staff. Cody was ready to rock when we arrived. The appointment included a cut, wash, and style for $60 each. We were both feeling great when we left. Came in as a man with longer hair for a cleanup and trim. Walked out with an uneven haircut when parted down the middle, and the stylist removed about 2in more than needed, leaving long hair on top and short hair on the back and underneath, creating a fluffy hair helmet. Ended up having to go to a different salon for repairs. Avoid, this is a barber shop not a salon.

I want to keep this review short and not go into the nitty gritty details because I hope that whoever reading this considering going to this salon sees this review and decides not to. It’s NOT worth it. They are not BBB accredited. The owner is extremely unprofessional, rude, and overbearing. 2/3 hair stylists I had interactions with were severely uneducated, immature, and truthfully I cannot see them being successful hair stylists ever. I’m not a Karen, “can I speak to your manager” type, and this is very out of character for me to go out of my way to even bother leaving a review. If it means anything, I even tipped my stylist over 20% despite reasonably hating my hair upon leaving, feeling extremely disrespected, walked on, and humiliated. This place can eat it. Do not do service with them.

These five stars go to ALASKA. I found my gem hairstylist finally. Professional and kind. Pays attention and asks me what I want rather than just assuming whats best.

I really, really love Addie. Shes such a great stylist and a warm nice person. The whole staff here (that Ive interacted with) are great. One thing to note, you need to tip in cash, so have some, or pay the fee at the ATM in the building. And parking can be a challenge in this neighborhood, so go early to find a spot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my cut and color by Mary Jo. She is very knowledgeable about curls and was accurate with my red root touch up. I highly recommend this stylist. Further, the salon was clean, professional, and hospitable.

I had an appoint for a blow-dry scheduled at 10:00 am. However, the stylist was nearly 40 minutes late. Her excuse was that there had been a lot of staff turn over with schedule changes and she was confused about her schedule and unaware she was supposed to be there. Due to her being late I missed another appointment I had later that day and was charged a no-show fee. Additionally, upon checkout, the receptionist was unfriendly and unapologetic. I asked for the owners contact information. I followed up with an email. I never received a repose from the owner. Its incredibly unprofessional for the owner to hide behind email and to treat clients this way. I was still charged full price for the service and had to pay the no-show fee for the other appointment. Honestly, thats not the issue. Its the complete disregard. Absolutely, no management how can a business be operated this way! Even after all of this, I tried to give the salon another try by scheduling another blow-dry which I had to reschedule. Apparently, the message was not received and I was texted the morning of my appointment with a very unfriendly text. It amazes me that I received a very prompt text but if you need to address an issue with the owner good luck! I had been a client here for a few years but had noticed a decrease in client care so had gone to another salon. This was an attempt to see if things had changed. Unfortunately, there is a saying your team is only as good as your management.

Love my stylist, Hannah! She treats my curly tresses with love and respect. Takes the time to coax my curls into the corkscrews they are meant to be. Shes Deva Curl trained...And my hair is better because of it!

Their price includes hair wash and blow-drying. The stylist didnt offer those services to me, and during payment, I was told that the hair wash is on an as needed basis (basically, I had very clean hair!!!). Additionally, the prices listed on their website means nothing, coz they charge you the big bucks. So I had to pay $50 instead of the listed $35 for just a trim, with no hair wash.... Will definitely not recommend this place to any of my friends.

Literally the worst experience I have had with a salon. I went in for a deva cut (curly hair cut) with Brielly and asked her to leave the length that had taken me almost a year to grow and add some layers to increase my volume. What I left with was an A line cut and at least a couple inches cut off. Now I have a bob that is super short in the back and unevenly long in the front, NOT what I had asked for. Brielly did not show me the back of my hair befor I left however when I commented on how short it felt and how much hair was on the ground she told me it looked like more than it was and would grow fast since its healthy. I called the salon when they opened the next day to complain and was told to go in and see Cody. When I arrived Cody told me the only thing he could do was cut my hair? I was then thouroghly questioned as to how long my hair was befor, why I didnt stop her, and informed that since my hair had been in a bun she was just doing what she could. He told me he would pass my complaint to management and there was nothing further he could do. Fast forward to the next day I called to speak to the manager directly and the receptionist informed me I could talk to the manager CODY. I asked how since Cody had told me he would speak to management. She then told me there were two managers he was just the second manager. The receptionist went on to question me in the same way Cody did and told me they would have to check the cameras and that the actual owner of the salon doesnt even live in the state. After speaking with the owner she told me I could not get a refund but would be issued au credit for a hair cut. They cant even take responsibility for messing up and have shown terrible customer service, I will never give this salon my business again. Loving your curls takes time and getting a bad hair cut is a huge setback. I would never recommend this Salon or Brielly as a curly stylist to anyone. I wanted a refund to invest in stylists who actually care about their clients needs.

So I had originally wanted an ombre of red to purple to blue. He said he could do it but sound up doing a horrible job even missed some pieces on my hair. After 320 dollars I expected a way better turn out. This place is not good and has amateurs doing basic hair. I am now going to Dosha in downtown where they have fixed me right up. Beware dont get your hair done here

Wife had a wonderful experience and looked terrific

Ive been going to Bouffant for about 3.5 years now, starting when they were still located in the Pearl district back when I lived there. My stylist, Hannah C. has always done wonders for my hair. Although I usually only get a trim, sometimes we do things differently and once I got a balayage. It took a few hours but Hannah did an amazing job and I felt that the price was fair. She is always super friendly and gives me lots of tips for styling and caring for my hair during the three months in between cuts - many stylists dont even give you advice like this! Hannah is more like a friend to me now and I honestly cant even imagine how people give negative reviews to Bouffant. FYI, there is a full pricing schedule online and the $35 cut is for less-practiced stylists. The more experienced stylists are a little more expensive, but its definitely stated on the website.The only thing slightly inconvenient is that you have to tip in cash and the parking isnt always great due to the other shops around.

Julia has been cutting my hair for more than a year now. She consistently does a great job and I often feel that my cut is the best I have ever gotten - anywhere.

I have been to this salon a few times over the years. I honestly have to say its hit and miss. Im not one to usually write reviews, but I chose this salon based on the reviews I read on here and I think they should be a little more accurate. It seems as though I have a good experience every other time I go here. I will get a good cut/color from one of their stylists then the next time I call to book, they are gone (high turnover isnt usually a good sign). This last time was the worst. The stylist argued with me about what I wanted (stating that what she wanted to do would look better than the picture I brought in) and then didnt even do what we agreed on. The picture I showed her was a picture of ME and my current hairstyle when it was just done. I only needed her to just RE-DO it. Not that difficult, right? Wrong. completely wrong colors and when I brought it up to her, she said it will be the right color after you wash it a few times I have been dying my hair bright fashion colors for 4 years and have been using Pravana the last 2 years without this issue ever coming up. I know she didnt use pravana on me because I saw her with the Joico box in her hand.In the end I was charged Pravana prices after being given a cheaper product, paid twice what she quoted me because she needed extra product (Half of my head is shaved and no one has ever needed extra product before), charged me twice for a bang trim (dont even have bangs and didnt receive a haircut), and walked out with worse hair than I had when I walked in.CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS, ESPECIALLY IF THEY E-MAIL THEM!!!!!!!I wouldnt recommend this salon to anyone who doesnt have the time to come back in for them to correct it. If they even will, Im still waiting on a response....50/50 shot you will get a good haircut**side note, I also had to listen to her complain to her coworker about the abusive relationship she is in the entire time. Maybe less swearing and more appropriate conversation would be better etiquette next time...

Beautiful, airy salon with skilled stylists (Cody is fantastic!) and lovely products.

On the expensive side, my stylist was super nice though. You cant put tips on your card which is REALLY weird and inconvient. The waiting area is a big round ottomon, thats it.

I loved my experience at Bouffant! The stylist Id scheduled with had a conflict come up suddenly, so I expected to have to reschedule. But Hope was able to see me right away (despite having other clients simultaneously!) and made my hair look EXACTLY how I wanted! She balanced multiple clients with grace and did a fantastic job on our hair! Cant recommend this salon, or Hope, highly enough!
