When we decided to remodel our ranch home kitchen and living room (and removing the chimney that divided the two rooms), we were unsure where to start. When I called Straight Line, Matt took the time to explain the process and how his company did everything from design to the actual remodel. I am very happy that we chose Straight Line. He came over and we discussed what we wanted done and we were able to establish a budget. Matt and his team worked closely with us on the design phase and once we were comfortable with the design, we were put on the construction schedule. Matt was always responsive and available and he did exactly what he said he would do. He finished nearly on time (even through the Covid pandemic) and on budget. The finished project looks amazing!

Straight Line did a large project for me. They tore down my detached garage and built a 600 sqft. ADU in its place. The whole process went smoothly and efficiently, and the end result was an absolutely magnificent ADU. Ive been renting it on Airbnb and every single guest has left feedback about what an amazing space it is. I think it might be the coolest ADU of its type and size in Portland! Matt and his crew are really the best when it comes to making spaces that are unique and personalized to your specific function and your style.And theyre just super nice and calm people, which is a huge plus when youre dealing with a large project, which can be a stressful experience.You absolutely cant go wrong with Straight Line on any remodel or new construction.

Straightline ReviewWe are incredibly pleased with the completed remodel of our kitchen and bathrooms by Straightline. The design-build process was effective. Communication was good. Matt Williams always responded to texts and emails in a timely manner.Design:Nikki listened carefully to our wants and needs. Nikki offered alternates making good suggestions during the design. Pros and cons were helpful. She recommended materials and colors when we visited showrooms to make selections. We are happy with the color and finish selections in the final product.Construction:Devon was good about informing us about the daily schedule. Devon also was meticulous about daily cleanup. The project was phased to allow completion of the guest bath and laundry room before working on the kitchen and master bathroom. We were able to live in our home throughout the entire remodel. The crews were very skilled in their crafts. If an unforeseen condition arose, the crews knew how to handle it without delay. The crews followed protocols while doing work during the pandemic. We never had any worries. Getting new Dewils cabinets resulted in quality, functional cabinets that are beautiful. Kevin and Eric asked questions when necessary.We are not sorry about our decision to use Straightline and would do it this way again.

I am so thrilled with our kitchen that Matt, Nikki, Joe and crew remodeled for us. Matt and Nikki were very easy to work with and were able to accommodate my ideas into their vision of what would work best. Straight Line remodeled our upstairs full bath completely with tile on floor and walls. We are very happy with the results. Tile is not an easy thing to get right, and they did it beautifully. Matt is very easy to work with, listens to his customers, and made sure we were 100% happy with the job.

The design of our ADU is beautiful and perfect for what we wanted to use it for. The design team listened to what we wanted and made it happen. The builders/carpenters were professional and really nice, I recommend offering them popsicles when the weather is really hot, it is the decent thing to do, they work really hard. We are very happy the project is done. No regrets.
