From the multiple bad haircuts (for whom they assign one poor girl to fix every bad haircut in the shop), to not respecting the schedule -- just dont waste your time. I truly dont think they care about their customers because of how this place is managed.I set a 3pm today, show up early (2:45), and dont see my hairdresser. This is expected. But shes nowhere on the floor, this matters later in the story.I end up walking in at 2:55 to wait. Shes now with someone else in the middle of a haircut.I wait until 3:10 and shes still in the heat of it.I cancel, leave, and call the shop 5 mins later to ask what happened (like should I just not schedule appointments? Whats the point?).The lady who answers says, oh, she just took the 2:30 and its running over. Um, when I was in there at 2:45 she wasnt there and neither was that customer. So they either took a walk-in or that 2:30 was wildly late. This screws up the rest of the schedule and customer experience/loyalty.Ill never go back. 3 strikes+.

I’m a 5yr customer and this location is the bee’s knees. Katelyn cuts my hair better than the high profile salon I used to go to. Need that perfect fade? Holla at ya girl! Quick, consistent, friendly...if she ever moves locations, I’d follow her. 100%

Melvy is absolutely amazing, super kind, full of patience and very experienced. She’s been cutting my hair for four years at least and I keep coming back! I thank her so much! Super happy she’s still there and I have suggested so many people to go to her. I even forgot to tip her when I first started going to this barbers, she still did her best and is a great sales woman for neck shaved and product! Super happy I get to have an above and beyond barber!!! I’m cheap too but can’t resist her hair cuts lol

Katelynn at The Barbers has been cutting my hair for about 6 months and I couldn’t be happier. She is very attentive to detail and even remembers my exact style without having to ask. I highly recommend.

I like to keep my hair neat and well trimmed and Katelyn is our go to person. She is super professional, detail oriented, listen to what is important to you, and bottom line, delivers an awesome haircut. Both, my sons and I always go with Katelyn.

Left me with a very rough fade on the sides, I didn’t really notice it until I left and showered but there was no blending done you can see hard lines of the different lengths of hair. Lady rushed through my cut (also took it up way too high) and then tried to give me $3 back as change from two $20’s. I was irritated after I saw the actual quality of the cut. I’ve had to wear a hat since I got it cut anyways because I feel stupid walking around looking like I do... so because of this I feel like it was a waste of my time, my money, and worst of all it’s been a major blow to my confidence level

One of my favorite locations to visit The Barbers, I always get a nice cut and the best service. The barbers here talk with you about what they’re doing and make sure everything is exactly the way you want it.

This was not our normal barber, but we had a last minute event and they had a spot.. The barber was patient and friendly with my client who experiences intellectual disabilities! Hes so happy he wants to return next time.

Great place. I hadnt had a haircut or shaved in 3 months. I looked like i was homeless. The respect they treated me with had me leaving a large tip and purchasing an entire head shave and bread cut and tip for annymous donation. Definitely going back!

It costs more to come here than the typical chain stores, but apparently they have much better service and skills. Consistently serviced by skillful and friendly stylists.

I been going to see Katelyn for awhile now, Have the same person cutting my hair for 12 years and I switched over to her and glad that I have, I also bring my son in there and she cuts both of our hairs a fantastic job, always good service with a smile.

I went in to get a lineup the lady was nice but the line up wasn’t... I was kind of expecting it to be more square shape but it was more of a round then square.

Easy, convenient and affordable. Ample parking. They are taking COVID seriously with masks, hand sanitizer and open doors for fresh air. Go see Katelyn, shes the best. You wont be disappointed with your cut or the conversation. Well worth it.

Im picky about who cuts my hair because I have a fat head and a bald spot, so I can look pretty bad (like Great Clips poster boy kind of bad) without a good barber. Ive been getting my hair cut here by Kaitlyn for almost the last year because she is meticulous about the quality of the haircut she gives me and will actually take time to make sure it looks good before letting me leave. She has recommended good products for the style I like and showed me how to easily do it at home. If you want to leave looking fresh, she is the one to ask for.

I have gone here for a few years and have always been impressed. I have had a few of the girls cut my hair and now I have Katelyn cut my hair and she does an amazing job. I can’t tell you how great of a job she does. If you need a great hair cut I would strongly recommend Katelyn.

My boyfriend came in for a bald fade today and I am so happy he found a place that he likes! For years we have searched for the right place in oregon after moving from California. We approve! He will be back for more bald fades for sure.

Im sure they have some good barbers there, but whoever did my husbands hair today, did a horrible job. Were getting it fixed somewhere else today. It was so noticeably choppy and uneven. The right side of the bangs was an inch longer the left, just to point out one example. Its also not blended at all and her reason was poor as we actually have many family members who are barbers and hairstylists and even have their own barber shop up north. This is the worst cut Ive seen. I dont leave bad reviews often, but I am upset as we paid for this? How does this happen...We dont want to and wont be coming back.

I have been to SEVERAL barbers locations around the Portland area. This one is by far the best. Katelyn goes the extra mile with every haircut and takes the time to make it perfect.

Very gentle and careful. Give me the look that I want at the first try, while my previous barbers failed or made a little difference. Forget to ask the barbers name, sadly. Only know that she works on Sunday and Monday.

The workers here are very nice. Most of them have worked with my Autistic adult son well. Free sodas and popcorn, but they are not consistent with asking you if you want one.

Im not one to leave bad reviews, but feel like I need to this time. Ive come to this location for about a year or so. For the most part the haircuts are great. Ive had a few bad ones, but Ive always come back. This last one though... I wont ever return to this location. There are 3 stylists there that seem to know what theyre doing. The rest seem like theyre straight out of stylist school. I wont name names, but the person that cut my hair today didnt even blend it. My part is crooked as well. Didnt really notice when I was leaving, but after the gym and a shower I realized just how bad it was. Ive got an appointment tomorrow at another establishment to have this fixed because I just dont trust that it will be done right.Its really unfortunate that its such a roll of the dice on whether youll get someone that is obviously brand new to cutting hair vs. someone that knows what theyre doing. This place is really convenient for me, but Ill take my business elsewhere.

I love this place. The stylist are friendly and cut my hair exactly how I want. I have been going here for years and to other Barbers around town. I am always pleased. Although this is a walk in place, it is a good idea to call ahead to get on the list. Otherwise the wait might be a bit long on a busy day.

Got a haircut from Tabitha today. Its a nicely done cut which is also definitely not what I asked for. Its too short to part to the sides (like I had specified) and looks nothing like the picture of my previous style which I showed her. Hopefully it grows out well - either way, Ill be going elsewhere next time.Edit: I appreciate the response from the owner, but no such thing was mentioned when I was inside the shop. Perhaps I would have gotten one if I asked for it.

Overpriced for what it is. My local barber is $5 cheaper and does a much better job. Its unfortunate because she was really nice and took the time to try to get it right, but in the end it just wasnt a good cut.

Its about 50/50. Half of the time the cut and fade are good. Others it seems like you are an inconvenience to be in their chair and they are just trying to push you out as fast as possible. Not all the gals in there, just some of them. Last cut I got was right when they opened, no line. And it seemed like she was rushing through my cut. And the fade was terrible, I could see the steps from a 3 to 4 to 5 going up the side of my head. Ill be taking my money elsewhere.

My husband goes here and sees Mevi each time as she cuts his hair exactly how he wants it. He has been very satisfied with his service at this location. The extra perks are pretty sweet, popcorn while you wait and can of soda for each customer on top of a nice shoulder massage! I was actually jealous!

Ive been going here for years, but not after today. They literally had me wait for an hour, put other walk ins ahead of me while telling me I was next. After an hour they slowed down and one of the barbers told her co worker Id been waiting for so long. She just laughed and walked outside. Ended up being late for work and never got a haircut. Such a waste of time

I have had Toni Vails team cutting my familys hair for close to 10 years. I followed her from the competitor that we wont name. I feel like Im committing a crime if I happen to get a haircut somewhere else! Her team is always positive and in a time when customer service is lacking I know they will surpass expectations time and time again.

OK for a mediocre haircut. Problem is the staff turnover. Just when you get someone you trust, they leave. Then you get an ok, I guess, haircut and you cant do much about it till it grows back. I waited 20 mins today- one person cutting hair- and some sort of staff meeting going on. Store full of barbers, none of them stepped up and said, OK, Ill cut your hair now. One guy offered me a coke. Whoopee. Im done with the place. Put up with the average cuts and long waits for 4 years. A disappointing level of service, bordering on rude.

Waited 10 minutes to be told I dont do your haircut and neither does anyone else here, theyre hard to come by its a flat top. Literally the easiest one on the planet. Never been turned away for one in my life. If my stoner brother can do one, why cant you? Guess getting paid 25 bucks to buzz someone with clippers for 5 minutes Is beneath them.

I really enjoyed this place previously. The staff has changed a lot and they are not that good anymore. I have not had a good haircut since the change and they raised prices. I stopped going after my last bad haircut.

The are really bad with the appointment. Make me drive 40 min. Just to tell me they get confused with the appointment.

This place has improved in the four years Ive gone here. I got a bad haircut here in 2018 but theyve been mostly good since then.I know people say ask for... but that should not be necessary to get a good haircut.

I always have great stylists when I get in and they always check with me if Im ok with the cut before they finished but for the 3rd time I get with older ladie who cuts to shorts or not cut the length when I want. She also doesnt ask if the length is good just puts gel and thats it. I wont get my haircut by her again cause if I see her I just walked out and find someplace else.Updated:today on 6/6 I went again to see if the older mexican lady was there and I got her to cut my hair and she still cuts way to short(again)and puts gel without asking. Im not coming here again

Best place in Beaverton for an affordable great haircut. Ask for Kayla and shell get you fixed up.I would recommend pretty much anyone in the establishment, but I tend to be picky and Kayla works with you and I have never had a haircut from her that I didnt enjoy.Wait times are always changing here sometimes you can walk-in and be out in 30mins other times youre there for over an hour. You can call to put your name on the list but that is valid for only 30 mins.

Ive been here three times, and have had a WIDE range of experiences. First, they are pretty affordable, conveniently located, and the staff always seems pretty friendly.The first visit, I got a standard fade from a 1 up to about an inch and a half on top. I also ask for a small hard part on the right side so I can style it easier. Nothing too tricky. The woman did a great job, and short a few stray hairs that had to be touched up when I got home, I was a fan.Second cut, I recall feeling a bit more apprehensive, because the stylist chatted with the other stylists and just kind of ignored me. No big deal, but I hoped she was paying attention to the cut. It came out pretty well, and I went along my way.But this last cut... Well, I started off pretty confident that I was making a good connection with my barber. We chatted about our lives and what we liked. I asked what she did besides being a barber. All good stuff. But when the fade was finally coming together, I remind her that Id like the hard part, so she needed to fade the right side up a bit higher....Apparently that was a mistake. She ended up shaving a gutter about a half inch wide like three inches into the front of my cut from my forehead. I felt it from the first moment she touched the clippers to me, but I waited a few seconds too long to say something. When I got the mirror, it looked like someone had parted the red sea on my scalp.I asked: ...is that how wide you normally cut a hard part? to which she replied with a hesitant yea.... needless to say, I was a bit stressed.The stylist next to us jumped in, and the only thing we could do was an undercut which meant I had to shave pretty much my whole head except for a little tuft of hair on top. She was awesome. I felt like she did a great job with what she was presented. Kept my calm, we laughed about it.They comped my cut, and I went on my way. It wasnt until I had a professional event this weekend that was being photographed that I realized just how bad of a haircut I really ended up with. Again, I think barber #2 did a great job with what she had, but perhaps it was just past saving.Either way, I feel bad for leaving this review, but I take finding a barber pretty seriously, and would encourage you stop in and see your stylist give a cut before you jump in the chair. I think next time, unfortunately, Ill just go to Bishops.

I just get a simple buzz but the service is great, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable (somehow I always feel more than $15 for a 10 min buzz is kinda high, but I digress)
