I came in to get a facial from Susanne and it was wonderful! The front desk staff was very friendly & helpful, the salon was clean and my facial was extremely relaxing. Susanne has the best energy and really knows what she’s doing. I’m going back next month!

Friendly staff, but my haircut was horrible. She did not listen to what i wanted. One side is higher than the other. She shaved the sides way to high and ignore the previous lines, did not blend the sides and left the bangs too long. She made so many errors, I bought some hats until it grows out enough for me to get a real haircut and fix it. It makes me sad to look in the mirror. Manager was great and refunded the cut and when it grows out enough will help fix it. Thank you to the manager.

Great to get my cut by someone who took her time and really knew what she was doing! She (as always) was very kind and took a personal interest! She offered and did many extras at no cost, including a quick beard shaping, eyebrow trim and a re-do after I changed my mind about how much to take off the top ! Reasonable priced as well!

This is the first time I got a haircut here, and Chelsea was amazing. Nothing is better than a Great Haircut. I must say, this was the best haircut I have ever had, and I have gone through several bad ones here in Oregon. I was so frustrated, that I took the time to read all the reviews on their site, (Chelsea had a lot of positive ones). I read that people complained about price, but like the saying goes you get what you pay for!. I was extremely happy about her knowledge, and advice about my hair, I will refer everyone I know her way, thank you!

First time here. The cut was great I cant remember the name of my stylist. I got the straight razor high and tight. Super smooth and on point. The only thing Im not impressed with is the price. I get the cost of living thing. But this was the most expensive hair cut I have ever had. It came out to $62. The typical straight razor cut goes for $30 all over except for my last one a year ago in Australia it cost me $10USD everything is cheaper there. I normally get a hair cut every 2 weeks but now itll probably be once a month with that price. Just saying.

I’ve been going to Hair M for several years and they never disappoint. Chelsea, my stylist does a phenomenal job and remembers exactly what I like for my hair as well as remembers personal things we talked about at my previous appointment. I feel very comfortable with the COVID precautions they have put in place, and they follow them meticulously. Sure, it’s a bummer you can’t have a beer now during your session ( another COVID precaution) but that will come back eventually. Relaxing, pampering experience with an excellent haircut.

I’d been to Hair M a few times over the last few years as a treat to myself, and had always had good results. Sadly, those days are gone.Just had truly the worst haircut of my life. The hair stylist talked me into what they call the King’s Cut, which is about half a step below a bowl cut in terms of style.And by “talked into”, I mean when I explained how I normally cut my hair (think cross between high and tight and Mohawk) and suggested going back to that, he literally shrieked and basically begged me to let him do this “style”. He claimed this would look better.I’d rather pay a homeless dude $30 to kick me in the junk than get another haircut from this place.

If you are looking for a big step up and away from the chains of sport clips and great clips this is a good spot. Haircut quality has always been top notch they serve you a drink of your choice including beer and the prices aren’t terrible. Only knock is I always show up on time and have to wait at least 5 minutes. Not a huge deal but annoying. Parking can be tough if it’s a big movie night or matinee day.

Ive been going here for several years and always enjoy the service. Even with todays modified rules they do all they can to make you comfortable.

Having just moved to town, I needed a new stylist. I was hopeful I would find one I could stick with here, and I am glad I tried here first. Chelsea was everything a good stylist is -- knowledgeable, helpful, clearly skilled, and really pleasant to talk to. She took the time to figure out what would work best for me, but Im also really bad at giving good suggestions, so she was able to work with limited information to give me a great style that I really like. I couldnt recommend this place, and specifically Chelsea, highly enough. Thank you, and I will be back!

I was referred by a friend from work. I moved out here from New York and have really struggled to find a place that can cut my hair. My hair can be difficult so it takes a skilled hand. I just had Antoni cut my hair and I this was the best cut I had here or in New York. He took time to teach me how to style it and showed me the best products to get the results I wanted. 5 star experience from start to finish! Thanks Antoni I feel like a new person with the look I wanted, great job.

I do like this place, but I have to admit it is hit or miss and for the price that youre paying you should be able to get a skilled hair stylist every time. Its comfortable accommodating for men You chew on TV and you were offered a drink while you wait. If you find a stylist that works well with you, make sure you make an appointment with that person in advance.

I hate spending money on haircuts because usually the barber doesn’t truly care.. Almost every time it’s a quick in and out thanks for your money and you’re left with a bad cut. Leo at Hair M is awesome, he’s real, he has a great personality and truly truly cares about what you look like after you leave his chair. He took his time and that’s exactly what I was after. Antoni is probably the best hair stylist I have ever had, actually not probably, definitely. Antoni is extremely personable and I very much enjoy getting my hair styled and cut by him. Antoni knows how to cut hair and has shown me new ways to style my hair that makes me feel good and confident about myself. Antoni takes the extra step in making sure my hair style is put together and that I look on point. Im almost 100% positive that because of how Antoni has styled my hair Ive gotten dates because my hair was so stylish. I highly recommend anyone to get their hair cut by him but not too many people because if he gets too booked up he wont be able to cut my hair.

After here I found a place that I enjoy getting my haircut at and I found a stylist that doesnt great job. The only reason I give it three stars is the price I think that $40 for whats left of my hair it is a little bit much but you do get two beers with it so it kind of works out in the end and its a good place and the people are very nice and friendly haircuts are great Dont get me wrong Im just giving it three stars because of price I would give it four stars on the haircut maybe a five and the beers usually pretty good too.

I had a Kings Cut with Kim today and it was an excellent experience. Kim was warm and friendly, suggested a new cut I could try and I am very happy with the result! She has a great eye for style and the hair cutting skills to make it happen. Her scalp massages are also excellent. All in all, I would highly recommend both Kim and Hair M Beaverton. My only reservation about recommending Kim is that once word gets out, shell be impossible to book!

Really great service. This place may be a little more expensive for an average haircut, but if you want to get pampered (yes, men need some pampering too) then this is the place to go. Head massage, free drink of choice and they are super friendly.

Hair M is a great place to go for a premium haircut experience. Although youd think that this might be a niche market, Ive found Hair M to often be quite busy. Its definitely on the spendier side, but for the occasional haircut its a great place for a pamper. They serve you up a beer or glass of wine right when you enter. You can get up to two beers (or glasses of wine) on a visit, but with how quickly they get you, I dont often find I have time for a second. They also offer free neck trims between cuts where you can also get a drink. They do encourage at least a $5 tip for neck trims though. The customer service here is pretty great too. Alisa, the operations manager at the Beaverton location is awesome, and super friendly.

Cool place, professional stylists and free beer. I have been getting my hair for about 2 years and I never go anywhere else. Im extremely cautious of who I let cut my hair and Sara at hair my has my full confidence. Hair M provides the convience to set appointments from your computer or phone weeks in advance. They also send a text update the day before to remind you. Overall Hair M has provided a wonderful hair cutting experience. One improvement I would like to see is for the draft beer to be available 100% of the time. Occasionally, theyre only serving bottled beer.

Excellent cut, just what I asked for!

My haircut took an hour and a half and I didnt even get what I asked for. About an hour in to my haircut staff was hovering around impatiently because they had scheduled another appointment after mine and they were supposed to close in 30 minutes (this is my fault how as a paying customer?). I was practically forced out the door by staff after this and was treated like an imposition by the person at the front desk. My scheduled appointment had even started late in the first place. They didnt even clean up the hair on my neck, which I specifically asked for. I was treated like an imposition for a service that I was paying for.

After searching for a few weeks I came in to try out the shop. Was clean and well organized. I have used the same barber for the last 5 years and she recently moved out if state. I came in hoping to find a replacement. I was seated fairly quickly and treated well. My only complaint is that the haircut was average and required a clean up once I was home. This is not a negative feedback. Just my experience. The reviews lead me to believe this is not the norm and possibly just an off day for the barber.Fwiw

If you expect great customer service at reasonable prices, then Hair M cant be beat. Amy at reception is always welcoming and quick to serve you a beer, soda, wine, etc. while you wait for your appt. Its nice to be able to watch ESPN at the bar as well. Chris is highly recommended for hair cuts and shaves. He does a fantastic job: he takes notes on your previous cut and always asks questions on style preference before chopping away.

I have been going to the Beaverton location for 3 years straight now and could not be happier. I am greeted as family when I walk through the door and have never had a bad experience. Cold craft beer on tap, flexible scheduling, highly skilled staff and a clean and relaxing environment. I have had the same amazing hair stylist since I started getting my hair cut there (I would tell you her name, but I dont want her appointment book getting any fuller) and there is a very low turnover rate with their employees (always a good sign). Hair M is essential to any dapper professional man in todays fast paced world.

Needed a haircut and beard trim before the weekend and was booked a month in advance. My master stylist was sick on Wednesday (not her fault of course) so I was rescheduled to a Friday. She was still sick (still not her fault) so they called to reschedule me again for Friday evening. It wouldnt work as I had to leave and no other options were given, the person on the phone wasnt very helpful when I voiced my displeasure and immediately shifted to a dont care attitude.I normally love the place and dont mind the pricing. I just felt after a months long planned service is cancelled on Hair Ms end, it should come with more than we can keep pushing you off to a later day.

Wow this place is one of the best places I have been to! Complementary beer, excellent service, little t.v. while you get your hair did, my stylist was super fun and gave me one of the best hair cuts. Definitely pricey, so I would recommend groupon coupons! They offer a variety of packages from basic traditional hair cut/shampoo to kings cut which includes a massage. They also have a walk in barber.

Fairly classy place to get your hair cut in downtown Portland. Located near NAITO, this space provides good service at a reasonable fee. Their staff is consistently upbeat and make the experience enjoyable. Scalp massages are available for the Emperor trim and up (a fun little treat to yourself).

Amazing service that will make you look like a hollywood star. I only wish they could do facial spa massage for skin, acne and dark circles under the eyes. That would make me visit this spot even more regularly. Id be willing to pay a lot for a service if it had oranic options that are proven to improve and rejuvenate the youth of the face.

Hair M for me is my new to go place for my Hair. Always friendly staff and skilled hairstylist. This place is a step up from all the other guy oriented salons. From the time you walk in they greet you with a smile and your choice of ice-cold Beer, Oregon wine, soda, and water (Complimentary!!!), theres a small TV in every both tuned to ESPN while you get your cut, shampoo, scalp and neck massage, and did I mention the complimentary Beer!!! They mostly take appointments so its best to call ahead. But if you are in a rush the Beaverton location takes walk-ins in their Barbershop area. Overall you will save a few bucks getting a cut somewhere else, but when it comes to your hair you generally get what you pay for. Try Hair M and you will not be disappointed.

Today I get a call from the receptionist saying that my appointment with Chelsea is cancelled because she she has some work. Ive taken an appointment with her a long time back and now they say they cannot schedule me with her anytime soon. I specifically wanted to visit her and they ask me to see somebody whom I do not like. This is not the level of professionalism I expect from a reputed salon. Very disappointed and might not visit again!

Funny that this was place recommended to me on Google Places. My coworker referred me here as it where he goes and it isnt too far away. I told him how I went to chopperz, but it was so hard to get out there during the work day. This place is very close being not to far from New Seasons, where I typically go for lunch anyway. The service is a bit more expensive, but the service you get is unbeatable. Everyone is friendly, they are welcoming and they truly are glad to have you there. I highly recommend going here, and enjoy beer OR wine while you wait! (or soda or water)

Below average.I have found this place by Googling/Yelping for decent haircutting place near Hillsboro/Beaverton/Portland.Hair-M was on top of the results with above-average prices.I decided to test if high price still means high quality here and also compare the place to what I have experienced in the Europe.Overall test results: failed.Details:Classic Man Haircut does not seem to ring a bell here.From what I have seen, all employees are using hair-cutting machines instead of scissors for the majority of the work.In turn, quality of the final result is significantly decreased.I have tried walk-in service ($35). My haircut was looking just okay (not awesome, not fine, not good, but just OKAY) after I left the place, but it turned out to be impractical haircut that does not keep the form and it requires a LOT of time to convert it from blast at pasta factory-looking haircut to just-okay-looking haircut. Very impractical.Regarding massage: from what I have seen, there is no dedicated massagist: your neck, scalp, etc. will be rubbed by the same person who cuts your hair.They do serve some beer and some wine. And of course cost of beer/wine is already included in the price - you are paying for that no matter what.They also asks for tips explicitly during the payment process - maybe it is just an American thing, but I expect that the final price of the service will include all costs.Conclusions:Highly likely that if you will buy beer and haircutting machine on your own, you will achieve similar results in the long run.If you want outstanding haircut, I suggest to look for another place - I am still looking.

Ive been going to Hair M for about two and a half years. Ive never picked a stylist to go to, so Ive got my hair cut from several different stylists. Ive had a few cuts that werent amazing, but never average or below. I know that if I ever had a problem it would be resolved right away, and more than fair.A few months ago I couldnt get an appointment when I needed it, went to another place and got butchered, I mentioned it at my next hair cut that I was never going anywhere else again... They compd half my cut because they felt bad for me.
