I am bedridden & couldnt get anyone to be able to get the temperature to cool to my satisfaction, nor get the automatic setting to work properly. Thomas asked me a couple of questions, fixed everything plus changed the filter. He was courteous wore a mask & shoe covers. My a/c great, furnace came on the first cold night. WONDERFUL SERVICE!

Just had a high efficiency furnace, AC and thermostat installed and couldnt be happier with the quality of the products and the workmanship installing it. Shaun went above and beyond with customer service getting me the right equipment with some extras that I wanted. He definitely knows the technical stuff and has the people skills to compliment that.Price was less than some quotes I had that didnt include extras. The install guys Joe, Caleb and Brandon did a professional job despite dealing with the heat, a storm and a power outage before they were done. Exceptional job!

Contacted Extreme One Hour and got a response back within a day for estimate cost appointment. Shaun was on time and gave me a very good description of HVAC system and explained what they would do for duct cleaning prior to installation. Crew showed up on 19 April for air and dryer duct cleaning. Crew was professional and did a great job of keeping things neat and clean while doing the cleaning. On 21 April the installation crew showed up on time and began the installation. Once again this crew was extremely neat and completed the installation within six hours. I believe the names of at least three of them were Kaleb, Nick and Tony. The installation was done with great attention to detail and each system functionality was explained before they left.Doug Washburn has once again proven his company provides a great value and expert service to the customer.

I found Extremes One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning completely by accident, and I am VERY happy I did.I originally called them to service a non-cooling A/C unit. The technician, Nick, was honest and upfront and told me the high cost to refill the outdated R22 coolant, and recommended I replace the unit with a new model. He also told me about their 60-month 0% financing option to replace both the A/C and Heater (mine was a 1967 Chrysler model heater!). Before Nick left, I had financing and an appointment scheduled for the following Wednesday.Tuesday afternoon, the Installation Manager, Joe, called and texted me, asking if he could take measurements ahead of the installation to help the install go faster and smoother. He was super pleasant, informative. He wore a face mask and shoe coverings the entire time he was in my house and we were in contact with each other. He set the install time for the next morning (between 8a and 10a).The next morning, at 8a sharp, Joe and the installation team (Kaleb, Nick, and Tony) knocked on my door. They were right on time, wearing face masks and shoe coverings. They each introduced themselves to my wife and me and went straight to work. Throughout the day, they were professional, courteous (keeping the noise to a minimum since I work from home, directly above the basement area where they were installing the heater and in the room just inside where they were installing the A/C).They kept me updated on their progress throughout the day. When the install was finished, Joe walked me through using the new thermostat. Then, Kaleb and the team showed me everything they installed, how to maintain it (like a capful of distilled vinegar in the pipe to keep the pump operating cleanly, and changing the 4-inch filter every 6 months). They had to demolish part of my basement bathroom, which I approved. But they cleaned up afterward, and even left the basement in a better condition than when they found it.Overall, I could not have been more pleased with their overall installation, their professionalism, politeness, treating both my wife and me with equal courtesy, being on-time, finishing with everything exactly as they told me ahead of time. I recently had Extreme Heating & AC install a complete new top end system in our home. Following what I thought was a flawless initial installation, we started to hear an unsettling noise coming from the refrigerant line. When I reported it, they immediately responded trying to isolate the cause and resolve it. After a couple of well intended attempts that still came up short, Shaun came out and laid out several options saying he was committed to resolving the issue to gain our total satisfaction. He did exactly that…the system now works both fabulously and virtually silently. My takeaway…what sets a great company apart from just a good one is what they do when things don’t always go right the first time. They don’t give up; they make it right. I found evaporator frozen; called on a very hot day and requested service call when possible. Was told it would likely be a couple days due to business volume and lack of techs. I said, fine; understand. They called back in less than an hour and told me a tech was on the way. He quickly diagnosed problem, cleaned condenser and is ordering parts needed for permanent repair. He recharged system for temporary operation. I could not be more satisfied: excellent quality, integrity and professionalism. Thank you!

When our furnace needed to be replaced they installed a high efficiency furnace that looked like it had always been there. We recently received a cleaning and maintenance service from Mat Gibson. He has serviced our heating and air conditioning many times. Hes friendly and knowledgeable. I have recommended Extreme’s many times to my friends when theyve needed service or to replace their old unit.

Very impressed with this company. Our 20-year old AC went out and we knew that replacing it was almost certainly our best option. I have been a customer of Extreme Heating & Air Conditioning for over 15years. They are responsive, professional and priced reasonable for the services they provide. This was a new A/C installed in this past year. Coul went out, it happens. Nick responded to my phone call and was here within the hour to see what was wrong. The technician who worked on my AC was the best. Starting out with actually listening to me while I explained the problem. Rare!! He came into the house to see what was going on. He wore shoe covers and was understanding to our little dog. He then went outside, pulled out the capacitor and said, Wait here, I have one of these on the truck. Within 35 mins, our AC was blowing cooler air than it previously was able.Thank you so much for being there within 2 hours of the call. Earlier this week, Kevin came out to get our a/c working again. He quickly found that the filter was clogged and needed replaced. He did that and topped off the coolant. Explained their twice a year check-up program for your a/c and furnace- easy decision to sign up for that. A few days later, we noticed the air blowing warm again and the temp rising inside. We called on Saturday night and Nick came out within the hour. He quickly figured out the storms from the night before broke both capacitors. He had two on his truck and fixed us up fast. Called Extreme One Hour after our A/C went off, and they were one of only a handful of companies to answer their phone on the weekend, and the only ones who called back within an hour of my initial call. Heat pump finally died on us heading into a very cold snap. Nick from One-Hour came out that morning and provided an analysis of the problem and quotes for remedy. I had 4 other places come out to quote a new heat pump and air handler. Ended up going with One-Hour because I was impressed with their responsiveness and pricing. They were able to fit me in on a days notice for the new installation. Joe and Kaleb showed up at 8am and worked until 7pm. They did a great job installing, and also addressed repairs of my plenum and ductwork. Im pleased with the job theyve done and my house is warm again. Would definitely recommend.

Came the next day after we called them to come for a rattling that felt like it was shaking our entire house! Turns out it was that the heater hadn’t been bolted down properly when it was installed (they taped it instead of bolting it 🤦🏻‍♀️). They did charge us for this despite it being their company that made the error, but I was just happy to have it fixed in a timely fashion.

This spring I had a mini-split system installed in my sunroom. See my other review regarding a new furnace/AC system. Joe, Nick, Kaleb and Tony did the install this time. The installation was excellent, with options provided to me to make it as appealing as possible. They did a great job and cleaned the work site 100% on completion. This is a long over due review - I apologize to the amazing people at Extreme’s for just now getting around to writing this. I have been using Extreme’s One Hour Heating and Air for years and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the company, their employees and the overall service I receive each and every time! In the past few years, I have had them install a brand new HVAC unit in one of my rental properties (of course the old 20+ year olds unit decided to go out during the hottest part of the summer) but Extreme’s offered the use of a temporary A/C unit until they were able to squeeze us in - can’t thank them enough for that kind gesture. I have also used Extreme’s for duct cleaning in my own home and multiple rental properties, as well as general HVAC maintenance. They are always polite, professional, prompt and honest. So very impressed by the people over at Extremes One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.Extreme was recommended to me by a friend who has had many years of excellent service from them, both at home and at his place of business.They have been taking care of the spring/fall maintenance check-ups. Well a week ago we had our first dose of heat and humidity and it was clear that the house was not being cooled. I booked an appointment for Extreme to come and check things out.As I suspected, our aging heat-pump had finally kicked the bucket. It was time for a replacement. And right away too. We were hosting a surprise party in 2 days. Though they were already busy with the rush to get a/c systems installed that juggled everything to come out to our place before our party. Everything installed in the nick of time. WOW. And the best part... the price. Even though we needed everything done yesterday they gave us a great price. (I had done some research the previous summer knowing that the heat-pumps days were numbered - the price was very very competitive).What I love about Extreme: The People!Ben has been out to our home for the maintenance several times. He is extremely friendly and personable. Very happy to answer my very many questions (Im curious about everything). When it was clear that we were going to need to replace the heat-pump Ben helped determine what would be the best course of action and the best a/c system to replace the heat-pump. It was going to be tricky - the furnace & a/c equipment is stuffed into a small closet. The proper a/c unit for our home would need to be upgraded from the inadequate 3 ton unit to a 3.5 ton unit making parts BIGGER. But Ben and one of his colleagues found a way to make everything fit and work.Joe and Danny, the installers, arrived on a Friday morning at 7:30. They hit the ground running and went about the business of getting things done. Again, extremely friendly and fun guys. When you have workmen in your home for almost 8 hours they need to be nice. The work that they did in making everything fit in that closet... a thing of beauty I tell you. This is the kind of people you want installing your new equipment ... I felt like I was being taken advantage of while I was in a vulnerable place! I got a sales pitch when I needed a repairman!I dont typically write bad reviews but this one is warranted. I own a 1350 sq ft home in Beavercreek, OH which is heated by a 2-year old Trane Heat Pump with an Allied Air Handler which has a 10kw Electric emergency heat kit.Since buying the home 16 months ago, Ive had issues with it not heating well below 26F. I have called out the original HVAC installer a couple of times with no real satisfaction. With the winter storm barreling down on the Miami Valley, which would bring the temperatures down to 0F, I knew I would be in for at least a few days where the inside temperature would fall to below 50F in my home. Having a heating system run 24-hours a day, driving monthly winter DP&L bills to >$280 was just too much to deal with.I decided to call a few HVAC companies within 10 miles to see if someone could come out ASAP and help me. Extreme Heat was first up! They sent their self proclaimed top Heat Pump guy. He visited my attic, where the Air Handler is, and determined that it was too tight to even attempt a repair on the emergency heat. He tben quoted me $7900 for a whole new system and some duct work.Then he calls me back 15 minutes later to tell me a bigger more efficient Amana unit could be bought for $12,000 with a 5-year 0.0% loan. I decided to gather 3 quotes totak from Amana certified dealers to see what kind of pricing I could get.A painter was in the home later in the day and overheard my wife and I talking. He suggested his HVAC. Joe was one of the installers and left the house in great shape. Floor protection went down before work started and no mess left behind. He took time to hear me out on how I hated the messy appearance of the previous systems wires and copper piping. When he did the install it looked very clean! Thanks again guys!!

These guys are awesome. Good service. Honest plus they are very considerate and clean up afterwards. We had ducts cleaned then they ran a sanitizing anti microbial cleaner through the vents. While they were here we asked for estimate on replacing the ductwork where the filter goes and a ductless hvac for our sunroom they came out a few days later now we can enjoy our sunroom all year round.and I can put filters where they need to go. When they came out to serve the oil furnace the tech,Nick did a great job of explaining why our furnace was acting up. Taking the time just added to our confidence in them. Supper knowledgeable and friendly.

Initially Shaun came out to give me an estimate, and he gave me a heads up call and was right on time. He looked at everything as I was converting a double furnace system to a single. He took a bunch of notes and told me he would have estimates for 4 different options by the afternoon. He did. Then he brought Joe out to look at the install, as Joe was the head installer, so he would have a good idea of the job ahead. That made things go smoother. Joe and Cory came out the next morning and got to it, ripping out the bulk of the old systems, while waiting on Shaun with the new duct work. Shaun showed up with the duct, and everything started dropping I to place. The teamwork they showed was nice, everyone had a job to do and they knew how to do it. I was off work that day so I poked my head in quite a few times, and they were always busy. As it was a fairly extensive install, it made for a long day for them, but no complaining, and they wanted to make sure everything was working properly and that I was happy with the install when they were done. Glad to have them out and I would have them come out again when I need the AC and furnace replaced at my house.

Thought I had a simple problem but that was not the case with my old furnace needed a replacement. They were very responsive came on a Tuesday and was able to replace my furnace on that Friday. Joe was my installer he was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Explained everything about my new furnace. I will be calling them for future issues.

Shaun, their main representative, was amazing in his knowledge of what we needed to replace an old system that was too big for the house, and not heating/cooling efficiently. He was very polite and professional. They delivered beyond anything we expected. The installers, Joe and Caleb, were also very professional, knowledgeable, and cleaned up everything as if they were never there (except for the new unit.) We would and will highly recommend them to our friends and others.

I highly recommend One Hour Heating and Air! My family bought a house with an old, mismatched heat pump and air handler, and started getting estimates to replace both from different providers back in March. Shaun from One Hour was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and gave us the best quote out of four different companies. This was right when the COVID-19 shut-down started, and we wanted to wait until things subsided a bit before having the work done. Shaun offered to extend the estimate for a little while, and when we called to see if they needed to do another estimate (after we had put it off 6 months), One Hour was able to offer the same low price, and Shaun worked hard to get us on their schedule within 1 week to maximize the rebate from DP&L.On the scheduled day, Joe and Kaleb arrived on time, and worked hard all day to replace our heat pump, air handler (including new ductwork going into the air handler to improve efficiency), refrigerant lines, and thermostat. They did an amazing job - removed all the old equipment, and cleaned up completely (starting everything around 9:00 AM and finishing up at about 4:00 PM). Seriously - these guys are amazing.One Hour also took care of registering the equipment (for warranty purposes), applying for our DP&L rebate, and setting up the financing. They have some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced, and I was very impressed with their work ethic and quality. I recommend them for any heating/cooling need you have!

Very good service at a fair price. Service Manager Nick gave no pressure options for my situation. I elected for a new install which was performed within two days. Nick was very knowledgeable and responsive to my questions and concerns. Joe and Kaleb did an amazingly good job integrating the new furnace. Thrown together old systems now look like one streamlined unit. It doesnt just work, it was put in with some craftmanship (HVAC art). Will definitely continue to use this company.

Great service helped with they financing and the installation was quick and neat

My MILs heat pump went out on a Friday afternoon. Kevin showed up within 1 1/2 hours and identified the issue and cost effective options. This company went above and beyond for my elderly MIL and provided a temporary room unit to keep her comfortable. A new heat pump was installed by Joe and Tim. They kept my MIL informed, as well as me, and arrived when they stated, worked diligently non-stop and cleaned up after. Would highly recommend this company, as well as Kevin, Joe and Tim.

I have only had a positive experience with Extreme One Hour! When I scheduled my duct cleaning appointment, the scheduler automatically applied coupons that were applicable to my service. Jake and Nick were my techs the day of my cleaning, and they were great! They gave me a call roughly 20 minutes before my appointment time which is always appreciated (not enough places do that in my opinion). They were in and out of my home in about two hours, and you cant even tell they were here; everything was back in its place. They gave me some recommendations for my system but didnt push any sales. I will be switching to them from McAfee!

After 11 years of listening to my heat pump/AC system while trying to enjoy my deck, I finally decided to have the system relocated. Shaun came out and did the (surprising affordable) estimate, and a week later he, Joe, Kaleb, and Nick were on-site ahead of schedule to get the job started.Throughout the process, I was provided with updates as needed. I am currently working from home and was barely aware of the work of the 3-man crew who did the job, they were quiet and self-directed. My questions were all answered and things were completed the same day. There was a bit of a technical delay due to fluid levels in the system, but Joe kept me advised and they didnt leave until all was in order and functionally verified. Joe, Kaleb, and Nick were mindful of my recently planted shrubs in the area (not a leaf out of place!) as well of being mindful of my three dogs (with door and gate closures). They were also mindful of hygiene and COVID protocols, using foot covers and masks when inside the house.I am a VERY happy customer, having recently switched from another company (starting with Mc) that always wanted to sell me more stuff at every mx visit. Extremes personnel (from office staff, to estimator Shaun, to the mx/installation personnel) are each and every one polite, professional, and effective. Extreme provides a better value, higher quality service, at very competitive prices. And scheduling is a snap, I have been pleasantly surprised both times I have booked by the ready availability of service appointments. The technician was friendly, professional, and solved my problem.

We initially had problems with a/c and Nick came out the same day; he did a temporary fix but recommended a new unit (heat and a/c). We decided to go ahead and Cory and Kaleb did an awesome job. It was a long day and they mightve done more than they expected. The new unit is awesome; temperature level is more even between rooms and levels; unit is quieter; very worth replacing and pricing fair.

Jan 2021 - Still doing a great job. Been using their comfort club for a couple of years and the technicians are always on time and efficient. Anyway our A/C unit was on its last legs the past summer (16 years old and the old refrigerant cost an arm and a leg), so we decide to buy a new A/C. Shaun was prompt to arrive, asked what we were looking for then actually proceeded to plan for that. Offered some suggestions but no high sales pressure, and gave us a fair and reasonable quote. Once we accepted the quote and scheduled the install Joe, Kaleb, and Shaun showed up on time and proceeded to install. Shaun was called away for another customer but Joe and Kaleb continued to work diligently, and efficiently. They completed the A/C install, ran a verification check and cleaned up after themselves. One of the lowest stress major installs I have ever had. Glad I called them.March 2020 -Our service tech Kevin Vest was prompt, efficient and friendly. When I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist was also very friendly and helpful as I was trying to find a time that would fit into my crazy schedule.

Honesty is everything, not found very much in this industry. I first heard of Extreme 1 hour heating and air from my maintenance man at one of our properties. His experience with Matt was excellent and therefore he pushed me to have him look at my home units. My 23 year old furnace was on the fritz when I called Extremes One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning. The service tech determined that it was a faulty control unit and gave me several options. I ended up going with a new unit. The installation tech did an amazing job, was very friendly, and even went above and beyond what I wanted to make sure that the unit looked as good as it functioned. You cant find a more honest and affordable place than Extreme! (In the picture, the new installation is the top grey unit, as well as the duct work above it. The box and pipe on the left as well as the bottom unit are A/C related which I did not replace. I could not be happier with how well it turned out)

We were having serious issues with air quality and it was miserable with the extra pollen in the air. We set up an appointment to have our Ducts cleaned out to help with the allergies and wow did it help. Just a few days after the cleaning we could see a big difference. Jake and Nick came out and they were very professional and worked well together. Truly great people. Our home was built in 2004 and after the initial warranties and all were done we started calling on One Hour to take care of our double AC and heating units. They have always been responsive, professional, and on time. I know it’s a national franchise owned locally but they’ve always seemed like just a local business - never hear “corporate this or corporate that” - they are a community business. They’ve always worked with us and given discounts for our 2 systems so we didn’t feel like we were paying double. Easy to talk to - I don’t feel like they are always trying to sell us something. They give options, we make decisions, and they take care of it. They helped keep one of our AC units running for 16 years and we just decided we’d had enough and had them replace it. They kept it going for the 2 weeks (at no additional cost) until we could get a new unit installed Monday. They were on time, as always. They wear shoe coverings and cover the floors. I was disappointed they didn’t wear a face mask at least while they were talking with us and he didn’t have his own pen. I know these aren’t typical times but that would have been appropriate. The install took longer than it probably should have but that was harder on them than us - we weren’t going anywhere. The last install we had - 3 or 4 years ago - had some issues and they had to come back out a couple of times but they were responsive and took care of everything at no additional cost to us. They stand by their work/systems. We didn’t hesitate to call on them again. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
