Im a new customer and there arent any other internet companies that service my area. I put in a request for service and they had someone come over the very next morning and set me up. The young man that came was in and out in about a half an hour. I have no complaints Sparklight is working very well for me and my family. thank you Sparklight.

For my area its the best u can get outside of fiber internet...on the downside quite frequently the service will slow down to almost a stand still and when ur paying so much for a plan you expect to get those speeds most of the time. As soon as you call to report the service will jump back up as if they turn ur speeds back up

I pay for the fastest internet option and it’s still sometimes slow. It cuts on and off throughout the day or will be cut off for a while for no reason. Very annoying considering I pay $136 a month for this sh*tty internet, I expect the internet to be fast and reliable but it’s neither one 🤷🏽‍♀️ I can see why no one likes Sparklight!!!!!

Our new address says that their service is 100% available here so we scheduled installation online. Come to find out, after we had to call them, that they canceled our install because our address isnt serviceable. There is a New Wave box right behind our fence and there is no reason, other than laziness and a sheer lack of customer service, that we shouldnt be able to get internet here.

Current Situation Today. I Called And A Technician Was Suppose To Bring Me A New Modem. He Called At 10:50 AM Said Hell Be At My House In 10 Minutes. Instead Of Coming In 10 Minutes. He Called The Office And Lied. Told Them He Knocked On The Door And No One Answered. Which Was A Total D Lie. I Never Left My House Today At All. Beware This Is The Game Most Of Them Play To Keep From Doing Their Job. So They Can Ride The Clock...And Im Still Waiting Yall. SMH!!

We recently bought a new house. So of course we are trying to get everything set up. We called Newwave (which is the only provider of internet in our area or we would def call someone else) they sent a technician out to our house. They told us our house was too far from the nearest line to get it set up on the same day, but we could get a case going to get a contractor to bury the line and get everything installed. With them being the only company we agreed. Newwave pulled 100 for installation out of our account. It has been over a month and we havent heard one single peep from ANYONE at Newwave. We have left SEVERAL messages for them to call us with an update or any kind of information and we havent gotten a single phone call or email or anything since... I already have a bad experience and I am not even a real customer of theirs yet. We thought for sure they would be excited to get us to pay them for all of that extra work but it doesnt seem like we matter to them, probably because they have everyone one else in town in their pocket already.

Not bad service for the occasional user. Now that I have to work from home I found that internet goes out about 2 times a week. Also, after my work laptop was going really slow thought it was my router so called the router company. Did a speed test on the modem and the router and found the speed to my modem was very variable. Sometimes you get 30 MB/s, sometimes 5 MB/s, and very rarely 100 MB/s (I pay for 100 MB/s). Not a bad service for normal home use but finding that you don’t get what you pay for if you are on the internet all day.

This service is ridiculous. For the price I pay monthly, I expect reliable service. Every time this company is having an outage or performing upgrades or making emergency repairs it is during prime time television or after my family is home from a days work. And there are always outages of some sort. It is incredibly frustrating. Get it together New Wave!

I have been having a lot of problems with slow speed in the evening. Newwave was great to come out and found that my drop cable was bad. This replacement fixed the problem for about a week. Then again the speed dropped below 1 meg. Again they said there was a problem on the main line. I think it was fixed for a week but now I am seeing the speed drop again. I understand that the speed can drop on cable lines during heavy usage but not 95%!

We have had NewWave at our place of business for probably somewhere around 6 months. Its been great! Way better than AT&T. Its been so great that I have cancelled my home service with AT&T and I have NewWave coming tomorrow to set up new service. Hopefully it works out as great as it has here at my work!

Nice office people, but their cable isnt very good (even if it worked) for the price. I had a problem with mine that they couldnt figure out after I moved to a new apartment in the same complex. I ended up dropping the cable part and getting a Roku which I *love*. Their wifi goes up and down more than any other Ive had before. I regretted switching from Dish for the cable. Would not recommend because of all the issues.

This is one horrible company. Cable was always in and out. Called daily to let customer service know. It took weeks to get a service tech out, and when they finally came out, they promised the problem was fixed (NOT). They would leave before they could even see if the issue had been resolved. If you are able to go with any other cable company, GO WITH THEM!!! NewWave Communications SUCKS!!!

Ok so here I am one month later mine along with two other people I know have been without internet since roughly 9:30 PM it is now midnight (12:00 pm) and still no internet no one at new wave to answer a phone call it’s probably gonna be the same result everyone that is affected by this outage is going to go multiple days without internet because this very poorly organized business will care very little about its customers. I WILL TELL YOU THIS THAT IF I AM WITHOUT INTERNET WHEN I WAKE UP I AM GOING TO SEE SOME KIND OF REIMBURSEMENT ON MY NEXT BILL because this is not the first time this has happened and I know it won’t be the last. I have been without internet for 15 days. I have called several times and was blatantly lied to about an outage. It wasnt until supervisor Mark in tech support got ahold of my problem did anything get done. Called billing to issue credits and they refuse to issue any sort of credit for being lied to repeatedly. They do not hold their representatives responsible for false information. They are supposed to be issuing credit for the time I was out except for 3 days. I do not reccomend this company. If you have another option use it

Worst customer service ever! Have to call to negotiate my bill once a year because they spike my rate claiming its because Im not a new customer anymore. So the fact I been with them for years means nothing. They tried making me feel guilty for not wanting to pay 20% more for the same service. Thats horrible customer service and a bad way to treat existing customers.

Everytime I have a problem they never have things together. I called yesterday because my internet has been down, they scheduled for someone to come out today between 8am and 12pm no one ever showed up after I called them 5 times, each yine they kept saying someone will be out today regardless that they were backed up. I called again at 5pm since they day is all gone and Im like a dumbass waiting on them. Then they say my work order is not til tomorrow anytime between 8-5 . Yet the automated service called me yesterday to confirm for today!

Internet in Sealy, Tx down again tonight for idk how many times now... I was a 3 year customer I am getting AT&T back as of tomorrow. They are horrible to but at least its a big enough company that they fix it fast. I loved the speed unfortunatly its only good if it works.

Worst customer service. Internet works half the time for months. Was hung up on while talking to a rep for no apparent reason. New Wave not interested whatsoever in helping resolve the issue, not polite at all. Called several times and still no help.

I wanted to restore internet service, they wanted to charge me a deposit on old equipment and my bill that I owed was only a hundred something, but was charged two something with deposit and other fees. So...not happy about that

Ok this review is for the Bay City Texas area only. I see nothing but bad reviews for this company here on Google. Each area has different offices and techs as well as mangers. I have had really great service. I have had to call them only once during my more than 11 months of service. I was treated with respect and my questions were answered. There was an outage affecting my service area and issue was resolved faster than they said it would be. A fiber optic cable was cut on the highway several miles out of town. I get the speed advertised and I have all services thru them. Phone, Cable and internet. Please give them a try much better service than other Local Bay city providers

Always problems with internet. Always blackout on different channels. Always have to call to get fixed. And that only last a limited time. Never once was my bill deducted. Went a whole year not knowing I was bearley receiveing signal. Cable guy told me idk how yall got internet. No deduction for this. I recommend satellite before new wave.

This company is beyond horrible. We have had them for less than four months. In that time period we have had more days with no service than actual service. Im pretty sure Osama bin laden got better service inside of his cave than we have ever gotten in the Houston area with New Wave. They have over 20 calls to customer service in 4 months, 2 techs out and blamed our end over and over. Nothing ever changes it will come in for a few days then out for a whole weekend or week. They continue to bill and refuse to issue credits even after telling me they would issue a credit. I would choose dial up over this. Its gonna be a hard NO!

This company is useless I have them for my business and there internet is horrible i have complained about it for over 3 months they keep giving me ticket numbers yet no one has come to the property to fix the issue nor have they offered any sort of compensation for the business that I lose from guests not wanting to stay because of poor wifi. If you thinking of getting new wave DONT DO IT.....

This cable company personnel are incompetent and will not accept responsibility when their system and service fails their customer. When you insist the fault is at the end of the company, they cover up and literally blame the customer ! We swapped wireless router, by-passed routers, fought without internet, and no one has came to our assistance for over one week, and now we find its other customers as well! Switching to Dish network now. Good luck with this pack !!!!!!!

The internet goes down often. When you call, they will never admit when its on their end and will always call for service technician. When it rains, their service always drops, most likely to ground water flooding, as their cables and wires are underground, this occurs 2-3days after a rain as the water finally seems all the way through the ground. But itsi never on their end...
