I had a not so plesent experience talking to the Owner today; who made it quite clear she had been doing this for over 30 years. Apparently that is the gold standard for being a Tax Professional at the Fast Food Quality Tax Prep also known as H&R Block.She had no issue talking over me while I asked simple questions or when answering her questions. She may have been having a bad day or maybe shes that ignorant all the time, I cant answer that question. With 30 years in the business maybe taking a customer service course would be something to try for 2021.I may only be 37 years old and clearly dont know anything about doing taxes nor claim to do so, it seems to me that two people cant both collect money for one child on their taxes without someone asking questions. Seems like fraud to me, but what do I know I not a Tax Professional with 30 years experience that now owns a franchise of H&R Ripoff.If you want to be rude to me thats your problem, but dont play victim when I match your rudeness and give it back.I dont think she like the fact I laughed when she said I think I know what Im doingNeedless to say, but Im most likely off the Christmas card list.Thanks for reading my review

Thorough, attentive, and competent tax advisor

I went in never using H&R before, and not sure what to expect. I was very impressed with my agents professionalism, and knowledge of the different avenues in the tax world. His understanding of the IRS, and his curtiouse dimeaner spoke volumes. It was alot more affordable then what I had anticipated, and I may come back next year.

I have never been spoken to so rudely and condescendingly by a “tax professional” who is there to “help”. I had simple questions and couldn’t even get through then without being shut down by him. I left that office after being spoken to so rudely by Timothy Smith..IN TEARS. So thank you for the worst experience

Tax Advisor Dan Bard in Bangor has always been great! He has saved me lots of money over the years. I will return to H&R Block every year as long as Dan works there.

H&R Block Staff are always friendly and courteous. Anytime I had a question about my taxes that I didnt understand, the Staff was very knowledgeable and took the time to carefully explain it to me.

Bad experience, very unprofessional, they dont return calls, discriminatory, and rude!!! Never been treated as poorly by a business as this H&R Block treated me (Maryann Cole)! Very disappointing, wish I could give 0 stars but had to pick one. I suggest any other tax professional besides these guys youd even be better doing them yourself!!

I will never go back to this loction for my taxes the older woman who assited me made snide and blantently rude comments about my income and questioned how I pay my bills and if I could afford to pay for my taxes to be done.Totally unprofessional and discriminatory. So if you decide to go there ask for anyone besides Glenda! Making a tad over minimum wage does not mean I cannot afford to pay my bills or have my taxes done. I do just fone as do many other people who make minimum wage. Its called a savings account and being responsible. But thanks for your unwanted concern Glenda.

I go there every year or go threw there website. This year will be my last applied for my taxes online it states you can talk to a representative I called HNR they do not belong to the web site and will hang up on you. After 4 hang ups ( just trying to get an address to mail in my taxes ) I called irs. Believe it or not. I had better serive with the irs after waiting 3 hours then I got anywhere with Hnr block. Next time Ill go turbo..

The location was very convenient and the tax person that prepared my taxes was very knowledgeable with what I would consider a somewhat complicated tax return. Everything was explained to me in details and terms that I could understand. I would also have to say that the person that did my return was extremely kind and conveyed the impression that she was truly interested in doing the correct return and the one that would give me the largest refund. All and all it was a very pleasant experience.

Tracy is wonderful! We have been using her for the past three years now. She is not only an expert in what she does, I completely trust her and she always makes sure we are receiving the most of our refund. Its so easy to just walk in and have it all finished within twenty minutes and know that we have the peace of mind it was done correctly.

Because of the extremely superior work Anne Powelson has done for us over the past four or five years. H & R Block has done our taxes for about 47 years.
