This is the best gym in Baltimore! Whether youre into power lifting, HIIT, group classes, yoga, or something else entirely, this gym has you covered. The staff is always courteous and knowledgeable. The facilities are always clean and in working order. The atmosphere is inviting but you can tell that people here are serious about fitness and health.Ive been working with a personal trainer (Tony Kovacevich) for over a year and have made huge progress not just in my overall strength but also in my mobility and overall health. I would highly recommend training with Tony or any of the other trainers at Brick Bodies.
Great gym. However, one of the managers, Erica, is completely unprofessional. Cancelled my membership after being a loyal customer for years. Great gym if you do not need a personal trainer.
I absolutely love this gym. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and every instructor Ive taken here has been phenomenal!!! They are a talented team. I am so grateful!
Been here since before the pandemic. great staff, great pandemic procedures, good equipment
Personal trainer Tony Kovachevich is a supportive, attentive and motivating coach who continuously celebrates victories and makes workouts fun! He is precise in every aspect of his work and is always prepared. Tony studies current fitness research and regularly checks for my feedback and goals so that he can create ever-changing, innovative workouts for me. Perceptive, astute and compassionate, Tony has successfully led me to improved fitness and nutrition and is undeniably a positive force in my life.
Thanks for the service you provided during the past 18 months
In response to the fact JHU is now temporarily closed, they have lowered membership fees and commitment length to attract these students and others, which I understand and have no problem with. Unfortunately, they have also decreased staffing and in fact, currently do not even have a General Manager. End result: Lower paying members with not the same gym etiquette, not as clean and just not the same experience.
I for one am all in favor of every measure taken under the intention of disease prevention through social distancing. That being said these measures should be put in place for the safety and welfare of your members, not as an additional profit mechanism for the gym. I was appalled to find that the ENTIRE stretching and calisthenics section of the gym was now allotted to “personal training session areas”. It seems there no longer exists a space for this use that is not an additional charge to members at anytime they show up.
My (exquisite) wife and I are long-time members of the gym at JHU which is under an extensive upgrade project thats dragging out because 2020. So we joined Brick Bodies in early Dec and are DELIGHTED we did. The initial appeal -- beyond simply being open -- is the hours. I have to be at my desk by 0700, so a gym (with a great locker room/shower) that opens at 0500 is a great. The facility is being cleaned constantly -- employees are VERY conscientious. The equipment is new, plentiful and in good working order. The classes we were able to take before the most recent COVID shutdown (some yoga/pilates hybrids) were great. When we joined we signed up for a course of personal training sessions. My most recent instruction in gym machines goes back to the early days of Nautilus, so having a pro show me how to get the most benefit, safely, for the time Im at the gym is really great. (Im an old contact sport veteran whos had trouble getting past the myth that asking for help in a gym is for sissies.) Tony Kovacevich, the trainer I was assigned has REALLY exceeded my expectations. Hes knowledgeable, professional, encouraging and communicative. Moreover, he has been willing to meet me at 5 am to meet my schedule needs and has typed up and provided detailed reports of the work so I can replicate them when hes not around. Could not be more pleased we spent the extra money for this service.
Great place to work out. I really recommend Ronnie as trainer in Rotunda branch.
Love my job and first gym.
Tamara, the Spin instructor is awesome! I love her energy 💪🏾
Helpful staff. Not overcrowded. Reasonable membership and centrally located. Machines are clean. Andrea was my trainer for a bit before my schedule got hectic but I highly recommend her!
I was a member at the downtown location for years and then left. Brick Bodies always makes me feel like family. I love the different machines and group fitness classes that are offered. i usually go to this gym for Zumba on Thursdays and Saturdays with Tracy B. She is amazing. This location is a lot bigger than the older location, and offers free parking for 4 hours. When you walk out there are a variety of restaurants and a movie theater. Im glad I re-joined.
Wearing a mask sucks, but other than that always fun. A bit crowded today.
Great space and very clean. Staff are very helpful and always friendly. Plenty of equipment and facilities for a good workout. Street parking isnt all that great, but the garage does offer 4 hours free. Plenty of time for a workout.
Ronnie is my Trainer for almost a year now. She have taken me out of my comfort zone and has me trying new things all the time. she challenges me to be better. I am stronger and have lost over 20lbs. She is patient when needed and will push you when she knows you are ready. I often tease her that we should have a turn around Day for a fund raiser at Brick Bodies and I can come and train Ronnie. I have learned so much that I would give it to her. I would call my training bands and balls. I love Ronnie and Brick Bodies.Thank you Ronnie for motivating me to be a better me.
I went here for a spinning class and I had a great time. The gym layout is very open and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If i lived closer, I would more than likely get a membership here.
A solid gym. Bright and airy with modern equipment with room to grow when necessary. I Haven’t had a problem with waiting for equipment. I did have my shirt stolen while in the showers which is actually pretty funny 😂. Parking can be scarce if looking for a close spot but otherwise a gym worth it weight in gold
Very unprofessional, I had a personal trainer to help me loose weight. they told me in the beginning that I could stop when ever Im ready. I decide to take a break they charged me for time I was not there. The manager gave me a specific time to call to speak with her the next day. I called and I was told she went to lunch. They charged me $490. They did not reimburse me, they only credit me. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.
Paid a visit just now. The machines look good but salesman rejected my request for a free week. I did see the free week ad on their website afterwards.
I love it! It’s always clean, the staff if friendly and the open floor plan is great as well. I love that it is larger than Belvedere but isn’t as big as Padonia, although I do miss the larger sauna. The new bikes in the cycling studio are amazing! This gym has a totally different vibe. It could be the lack of grunting in the weights section that makes it more pleasant. 😎
Really nice gym. Very clean, open and airy. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. I really like that its open untill 11pm on weekdays too.
Clean, large fitness facility with friendly helpful staff. Good variety of workout equipment. Never too crowded.
I have a corporate account and have been a member for over 10 years. I had an incidence over the summer when my locked locker was broken into. Both of my business cards were stolen. $1300 were reported used on my CC.I reported the incidence to the GM. To my surprise, nothing was done about it, nor was there any follow up. I was hoping that at least the members were alerted so that they can watch their belongings and for suspicious activities. Very disappointed. I felt violated for one and dismissed by management for their lack of concern. So be forewarned everyone. Youre on your own.
I love the location. Not far from home and close to Penn Station if I get the MARC train home. I do think people are not as personal as the ones at Padonia and Belair. But maybe that the city vibe. Clean and never a wait for equipment keep me there. Nice Staff.
Joined the Downtown location in June after being a guest. Two of my best friends were members and spoke highly of the gym. Since I believe word of mouth is the best advertisement I was interested. After being a guest I fell in love with the gym. We would stay after workout for hours socializing. Then July we were hit with the news that the downtown gym was closing. Downtown was a big convenience for us but was given an opportunity to transfer or cancel. I was away on business for the month of August and couldn’t explore my option. Mike, the GM from downtown gym, reached out while I was away to touch bases about the Rotunda and other options. I advised him I would come visit the Rotunda to see if it sparks my interest. I finally was able to come to the Rotunda on this past Thursday and was greeted with some friendly faces and some not too friendly faces. One particular was a Mr Jon Eric (not too friendly face). I assumed one thing and he advised me another. Indicating that what Mike told me was incorrect and I had until Saturday to make a decision. He was dry, blunt, and in a sales person mode. Wasn’t the personal feeling that I received when I was the downtown location. I advised him to let me see the gym first before making my decision. I told him I would do Zumba. He then said okay and started to walk away. I had to ask him where was the lady’s locker room. He then points to the locker room and the room where Zumba is held. I didn’t get a tour and didn’t feel welcome. I left not wanting to join. However I called back on Saturday spoke with Mike again and got a better understanding of the transfer contract. I’m willing to give Brick Bodies another chance because I have had so many great results. I have joined several gyms but none has made me feel at home like this one.
I love it. Helpful staff, great location, not crowded at any time of day, has all i could ask for, and I have no issues about the policy with deadlifting. (see Luis G.)
I had a tour (possible new client) set up for yesterday at 6pm, I reached out to Tracie Beauchamp, ACE CPT @ the Rotunda location in ample time to reschedule. We did so for a later time that day after expressing my son’s football game was cancelled and that I needed to pick him up prior to coming to the club. Tracie happily agreed and changed my appt time. I arrived to the club ready for the tour and to work out when Tracie advised they did NOT have child care at the location. Which for me would’ve been ok if she had disclosed that information when I rescheduled I could’ve made other arrangements. I was still under the impression that I may not have been able to work out but could’ve continued with the tour however she in fact stated my son couldn’t be in the club at all. After traveling to the club and being turned away Tracie didn’t have to common curiously to reschedule my appointment or offer me anything in additional for my inconvenience. This is truly not the way to do business or be the forefront of a business where customer service is the #1 priority.
Most of the trainers at this gym are fat. Take a look around and tell me if I’m wrong. And the staff seems to care more about rules than a good experience although there are exceptions.
Great gym, has everything you would ever need for any type of workout.
This is a phenomenal gym with a lot of perks and brand new equipment. Their membership gives you the opportunity to use their other locations as well.
Clean, spacious, and very functional gym! Very pleased to have been treated well as a guest for the day.
Great club never really crowded, staff is friendly. Could use a couple of pieces of equipment for everyone to use (landmine press, hack squat machine)
I tried to sign up for a 7 day free pass to try their gym. On the second day, they said that I could no longer use my free pass because the person who I had spoken to the day prior forgot to give me the scannable pass.
Its a beautiful gym two floors aswell as separate spin room, a zin room, step room its all wonderful and th ed staff are so friendly and helpful
Great gym its clean and doesnt get to hectic.
It clean staff are cool equipment great its a little on the smaller side compared to padonia brick bodies my home gym no probs work for me padonia location close to work rotunda location close to home. Reason not a five do to the side in space of each area.
Gym is very clean, bright, and has a good assortment of workout equipment. Only issue I have is the policy with deadlifting. Still trying to comprehend how one can deadlift properly without causing too much noise. Why isnt the moaning of others distracting as well? Never had this issue with the Bricks in Reisterstown or Padonia. Not sure why standards arent kept the same throughout all of the Bricks. Very disappointing and discouraging experience.
Terrible customer service. Deliberate misrepresentation and aggressive false advertising of 7 day free trial into a compulsory membership or $35/week. Questioned if I was a local and actually checking out the service. Bunch of lying salesmen.
Very rude never give calls back sign you up then the rules change very nasty personality have a noncholant attitude with dealing with people nothing like padonia
Very clean, new, upscale.... Like the setting and staff.
Clean
Not a impressive gym for the cost... the employees are very pushy and it seems that they only care about getting members to sign up and dont care about you... all I want is to work out and be left alone...
So hot upstairs with the cardio!!!
