This agent has been my parent’s agent for decades. My mother passed a decade ago and I recently reviewed my dad’s coverages. He was carrying a liability endorsement for a piece of equipment that he hasn’t owned in 15 years and carrying full coverage on a 1992 truck worth $1500. I asked my dad when was the last time his agent/this agent did a coverage review with him, and my dad commented, I don’t know, probably before you mon died. Well, that was apparent. So we dropped the excess coverages and his premiums dropped by $65/month. By my calculation, my dad paid over $7k in excessive premiums over that period. I’m all for residual income, but in this business, not servicing your clientele, especially your senior clientele, on a regular basis, is negligent.
