Good points:1) top notch management2) very transparent with rent and lease policies.3) very helpful staff.4) apartment is small but I had good time staying there.Bad points:1) design could have been better.2) small kitchen.3) small bathroom.4) weed smell from neighbors.5) cant choose between heat and ac.
I stayed here as a guest. Not only were the facilities poorly kept and dirty, but check in took 1.5 hours as they struggled to find my reservation and then none of the quite banal necessities (wifi, kitchen, parking - which was specifically promised) were included. Every time I asked for one of those things, I was told, sorry; that’s misinformation. I hope never to stay here again.
I applied for an apartment here back in December and was just officially denied today. You really shouldnt give people false hope and string them along just because you either didnt want to be the barer of bad news or because you expect people to pay $1000s of dollars in old debt weeks before they move in AND still pay for $2000 for first months rent and deposit. They say they consider all credit types on their website but its a lie dont waste your time.
Lived here for almost two and a half years and survived quite a few snowstorms. I went month to month after my one year lease and the monthly cost remained the same for my studio. There is a supermarket, dry cleaners, liquor store, food court and peanut shop within the complex/plaza. Everything is easily accessible and for the most part within walking distance. Loved the facilities and never had any problems with neighbors. The complex garage was quite expensive but there are two other garages within a block that have cheaper monthly rates.
Almost end of May and air conditioning hasnt been turned on. Been told it was the coming week for 3 weeks. Its been 84 degrees in my apartment for weeks...
I havent move into the apartment as of yet but I wanted to talk about the leasing team, Douglas and Tisa. I was very nervous about this whole moving experience and very unsure about the process. Tisa was so up beat and so positive she actually made me relax and smile. Douglas was so attentive and he made sure that I was sure about the process and feeling comfortable. Thank both of you for the level of comfort and support that you gave me.
We have stayed here for 2 years and the services were excellent. The price of the apartments are reasonable to the area and on addition to these apartments prices includes electric and utilities bills. Thats very awesome where no apts provide this option. Prompt response will be there even if you face any issues in the apartment. I recommend these apartments to anyone with a budget.
Just want to say how much I appreciate Douglas in leasing. He has been very friendly and helpful all the way through. I was planning on moving in to Charles Tower at the end of this month, and now my plans have been delayed due to a medical issue that has popped up. I notified Douglas about it this morning, and he was very understanding and helpful. I have also spoken to other staff there, and they are all very friendly.
We have lived here for almost two years, and I have to say that in the four years we have been in Baltimore, this management company is by far the best. If you have a car, parking is going to add a significant amount to your rent, but the staff who work at this building/for this company have been the reason we stay. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The building feels very safe. We feel like that we have a sense of community here. Shout out to Stephen in the leasing office, Zaviar and John at the front desk, and Courtney and Creon in maintenance. You all are the best!
Noisy environment, and when you report the issue to the managers, they wont do anything. Nowadays, there is a huge noise from the corner of N Liberty street and W Lexington street, many residents reported multiple times, they just sit there and do nothing.
Beware of here.Once you move in, they will increase your rent every year.I stayed here for 5 years hence I almost forget the lease agreement I signed 5 years ago.I noticed them 22 days before my relocation to other city. And they charged me for not noticing them 30 days before I leave. It is only 8 days. They charged you even you loyally stayed with them for 5 years.Nice management team!! There are a lot of good apartments in downtown Baltimore.
Good luck living here. It is a total disaster. Bad Elevator, Bad water, Bad trash chute, Bad air conditioner, crazy noise, crazy odor, bug, bad neighborhood safety, irresponsible front desk, missing Amazon packages. I usually dont wont to leave a negative review, but the irresponsible attitude of one of their mangers made me have to post this. There used to be some good guy at the front desk, but now they all left. And they manipulate the google map reviews.
Pretty Solid Apartment Home option. I have lived here for a little over a month and have been enjoying it so far. The Move-In process was seamless. The community offers great amenities. The neighboring area is pretty convenient. The desk and office staff are professional and courteous. I feel extremely safe in my home. The floors are solid and the insulation does a great job at sound-buffing the space. Lastly, the maintenance teams response is super fast for it to be a large community. I am thoroughly satisfied.
Look good environment honestly
We liked living in this complex. Its clean, staff are really friendly and they have fun activities. Feels like a hotel, in a good way. The location and price combo is unbeatable.
Its a high rise (no risk of getting broken into), there is a guarded garage below the apartment that is accessible by elevator (except it is overly expensive at $170/month). I am a young women in my twenties/small, but have always felt pretty safe since Charles St has lots of officers around frequently. It is a short, safe walk/run to the harbor (like 7 mins), we live right above a classy wine/liquor store as well as a fully stocked grocery store. The BEST thing is that we have never had bugs (EVER), I am paranoid about bugs and would have noticed, but we and our neighbors are clean people and dont have a problem! We also love being so close to great bars! (brunch +short walk home is best)
I would NOT recommend living here. I recently found a bedbug in my apartment. I reported it and was told that someone would get back to me. I had to call numerous times before someone finally got back to me. Then I was asked to provide proof. See image below. Brian finally got back to me and was extremely rude and nasty per usual. I guess he got annoyed because I was on campus at the time and its tends to be noisy during lunch hour which is the only time that I have to call due to the fact that I am a full time student. Anyways he informed my that since I found and reported the bug that it is my responsibility to pay for extermination. He went on to say that they will be taking care of it with my money. I had to pay regardless. See paragraph 19 of the lease. Then he had Cindy or Candy, who was also very unhelpful and extremely rude and nasty call me. She also claimed that it was my fault and that I have the bugs. But keep in mind that I have lived here for a year without any problems. So clearly they are coming from someone else not me. I am lucky my lease is month to month and I can move out in 30 days. I liked living here and I liked my apartment until today. Southern Management is heartless. So please read your lease carefully and that goes for all properties. And DO NOT MOVE into any southern management community
Nice place to live. Prompt maintenance, and lots of activity for residents. Have no cons for this place.
Good Place to live...
Really not sure what others are complaining about, our experience has been pleasant except for odor from trash shoot and one too many maintenance work, sometimes it feels a bit invasive.
Terrible
Very bad internet and service
